Abstract:
The cultural heritage of a country needs the support of the public as a whole to develop. Funding for the Czech musical heritage is a problem frequently discussed amongst producers, organizers, artists, and of course audiences, the "rank-and-file" members of the public. (Indeed, the last mentioned are the most important, since as taxpayers they actually support the whole system.) Has funding for the arts been sufficient? How is the private sector doing in this respect, and what else can it do to contribute to the support and growth of the arts? What are the risks of public funding, what are the advantages, and what is the point of ?public service for the arts?? The topic of my M.A. dissertation, which follows on from the research of my B.A. work, is to examine the funding provided in 2004 by the Czech Ministry of Culture, as well as the regions and municipalities, for the major music institutions in the Czech Republic. I seek to provide an overview of the most important sources of funding and institutions in the private sector, focusing on music and the arts in general as ways of making society more humane.

Abstract:
The principal aim of my dissertation was to specify and find out the sense of culturological aspects, which appeal on the development and stabilization of rural regions, to find the areas, where the culturological aspects could contribute to keep folks in the country and find the ways how to improve the satisfaction of folks with country life. I have tried to find the specific cultural symbols and dominant cultural dimensions of certain communities, which are the significant self-recognizable element of society. Our research was realized by standard questionnaire inquiry in Čkyně and Doudleby and by CSDT (Colour Semantic Differential Test). CSDT was used to get more complete information about communities of Čkyně and Doudleby and their dominant cultural dimensions. The results could be resumed into following. The problem, why people leave the countryside, is not based mainly on insufficient services and facilities. We can demonstrate it on Čkyně. However Čkyně has better public utilities than Doudleby, its inhabitants (especially the new arrivals and their children) are not satisfied as the inhabitants in Doudleby and they are likely to leave Čkyně in the future. Doudleby is the village with strong and still celebrated traditions. New arrivals are hearty welcome between the olds and they also participate on the local cultural life. The main contribution of my dissertation should have been the finding the influence of cultural traditions on stabilization the rural regions. Strong traditions join people together and improve social relations in the village. Traditions are the roots of folks that prevent them from leaving the countryside.

Abstract:
Communities of epigeic beetles were studied on two localities: Třebovice in the military area Boletice and Vadkov in the foodhill of Blanský les Landscape Protected Area in South Bohemia. The distance between localities is 7,25 km. Six biotopes were studied in both localities: grasslands, wetlands, fields, coniferous forest habitat, habitat mixed forest and deciduous forest habitat. Pitfall traps were used for collecting of material in period May - November 2012. Together 5 families (Carabidae, Elateridae, Silphidae, Curculionidae, Geotrupidae), 18 species and 1426 specimen of epigeic beetles were collected. Species were divided according to their ecological requirements of anthropogenic tolerancy into three groups (I and II relics and eurytopic species) (Boháč, 1999). In the monitored area Trebovice I found a total of 5 families with 16 species, compared to 3 for the families of the 11 species in Vadkov. The activity of beetles was very similar in both localities (Trebovice - 726 specimen, Vadkov - 700 specimen). The dominant families in number of species at both monitored localities family Carabid (Třebovice 9 species of Carabid, Vadkov 7 species Carabid). On the other side by carabid individuals was the activity distinctly higher in Třebovice (239 specimen carabid) than in Vadkov (38 specimen carabid). Adaptable species (RII 13 species) prevailed over expansionnists (E 5 species) in both localities. In the locality Třebovice was found 29.4% expansive species (E) against the area Vadkov 18.2% expansive species (E). Species that are tied to the habitats moderately influenced by man, known as relics of the second order (RII), in the vicinity of Třebovice occurred in 70.6% and in 81.8% Vadkov. Groups relics of the first order (RI) in the monitored areas were not detected. Index of human impact showed slightly better values at locations on the outskirts of Blanský les (Vadkov) (50%) than in the military area Třebovice (49,17%). Greater species diversity (Třebovice 16 species, Vadkov 11 species) and abundance (Třebovice 726 specimen, Vadkov 700 specimen) of beetles was in fond in the military area. This demonstrates that military area Boletice habitats are important for the survival of many species and serves as a source of biodiversity for neighboring stations.

Abstract:
The dissertation thesis "Castellology as a historical-cultural inspiration source in art education", is dedicated to the historical discipline castellology and its developing aspects shared with art education and general education. One of the main parts of the thesis is the finding of historical connections between ancient disciplines and their intentional and functional influences in a social sense. In terms of historiography there are also some articles devoted to selected authors, whose influence was fundamental to both disciplines. The thesis surveys not only a historical point of view, but also the contemporary situation. The empirical part of the thesis is based on the theoretical part. From the information gained in terms of historiography, it was necessary to include research on a teacher's personality. The empirical research surveys the frequency and usage of themes and subjects connected with castellology in the lessons of art education by pedagogues at secondary school level in the context of their personal interest. The investigative and the theoretical parts are dedicated specifically to the Czech environment. In both cases foreign settings are only briefly covered.

1 ABSTRACT Charles University in Prague Faculty of pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of pharmacognosy Student: Kateřina Šandová Supervisor: PharmDr. Marie Kašparová, PhD. Title of diploma thesis: Plant tissue cultures as a potential source of phenylpropanoids II. This diploma thesis deals with the monitoring of jasmonic acid biotic elicitation impact on the production of podophyllotoxin in Juniperus virginiana suspension culture. The monitoring was carried out in two varieties of J. virginiana: var. 'Glauca' (7th and 19th passage) and var. 'Hetzii' (7th passage). The elicitation of the suspension culture was performed in 4 jasmonic acid concentrations: 0.005 mmol/l, 0.05 mmol/l, 0.5 mmol/l, 5 mmol/l. Samples were taken after 6, 24, 48 and 168 hours of elicitation. The best podophyllotoxin production increase was observed in the suspension culture of Juniperus virginiana var. 'Glauca' (7th passage). To achieve this result, the concentration of elicitor was 5 mmol/l and elicitor was applied for 168 hours. The podophyllotoxin production percentage was 0.067% and production increased by 179% over the control. Keywords: Juniperus virginiana, suspension cultures, podophyllotoxin, elicitation

Abstract:
Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacognosy Candidate: Gabriela Dohnalová Supervisor: PharmDr. Marie Kašparová, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: Plant tissue cultures as a potential source of phenylpropanoids I Explant cultures are the source of plant secondary metabolites. However, the production of secondary metabolites is usually low in explant cultures. Production can be increased by a method called elicitation. The basic prerequisite for successful elicitation is, among other things, finding a suitable elicitor, its concentration and optimal time of elicitor action on plant culture in vitro. The aim of this study was to observe the influence of lead chloride and ferrous sulfate (in four concentrations) on the production of podophyllotoxin in the suspension cultures of Juniperus virginiana L. (variety Hetzii and Glauca). The culture was cultured on Schenk and Hildebrandt nutrient medium with addition of 3.0 mg.l-1 α-naphthylacetic acid, 0.2 mg.l-1 kinetin and 15 mg.l-1 ascorbic acid. Cultivation proceed in 25 řC temperature and 16 hours light/8 hours dark period. Subsequently, the determination of the content of podophyllotoxin by HPLC was performed. Juniperus virginiana L. variety Hetzii produces a higher amount of podophyllotoxin than the Glauca...

Abstract:
The main objective of my diploma work is to specify the current management of human resources including the analysis of corporate culture with the focus on further development of human resources. The analysis and research were carried out in a producer cooperative in České Budějovice that is engaged in metal working, tool manufacture and locksmith´ s trade. For the purposes of the research of corporate culture and human resources development an investigation was carried out in the form of a questionnaire. The company management acknowledges management of human resources as a matter of high priority. The company strives for a better competitiveness and good position both on the domestic and foreign markets. The part of the concept is to create conditions for an appropriate working environment, modernization of production facilities, social certainties for employees and improvement of corporate culture. The efforts for a transition to the new way of human resources management however faces lack of interest on the part of employees with regards to further training, lower personal involvement and, last but not least, the fact that most of the company employees are above the age of 45. It would be advisable for the company management to focus on the personal involvement, better acquaintance and motivation of workers in respect of employee benefits and possibilities of professional growth.

Abstract:
This study examines how independent writers in Czechia operate at the intersection of creative processes and management of their writing ventures. With a leading set of research questions, this paper delves into the array of contemporary methods and tools used for monetization, considers their influence on content creation, explores the relation to underlying motivations of writers and investigates the current intermediary landscape in the field. As a first academic probe into the topic in the country, the research introduces key concepts and then takes the inductive approach of a qualitative study conducting 7 in-depth interviews with local independent creators and employing grounded theory for the data analysis. The themes emerging from the research of this population sample suggest that local independent writers exhibit a high degree of resourcefulness in their monetization strategies as they combat inherent uncertainties of their vocation. They are also mainly driven by intrinsic motivations in their creation, and while they enjoy a great deal of creative freedom thanks to their independent status attained by often becoming self-publishers, the findings show that the traditional intermediaries such as publishing houses remain highly relevant in the field.

The main aim of this work is to analyze human resource management and knowledge economy in a selected company and to propose steps to improve the situation. I divided the thesis into two parts. In the first part I concentrated on theory. After the study of technical literature I described the basic theoretical concepts regarding human resource management and knowledge economy. I then conducted a questionnaire survey. I used a questionnaire VSM 1994 and 2013 by Geert Hofstede for determining the desirable cultural dimensions. I used TBSD to identify the most shared words in the chosen company. Finally there were proposed some steps to improve the situation.
