Abstract:

The aim of the study is to examine a book used as level-based teaching material, Den magiska kulan (Wänblad, 2011), to analyse the progression within and between the different levels, A, B and C, intended for use in grade 1. The material is designed so that pupils at different levels in their reading development can share the same literature. Another aim is to study the connection between illustrations and text. This literature study is based on both a qualitative and a quantitative method of analysis. The qualitative method applies a readability analysis with the focus on the graphic form and the language of the text. The quantitative method measures the LIX (readability index) of the texts. The result of the study shows that all the levels are suitable for grade 1 since their degree of difficulty is adapted and they have a smooth progression, as well as illustrations which are closely linked to the text. Although these readers are made for this grade, it is important that teachers scrutinize the material used in teaching.

Cette cérémonie, appelée gharau-ka jagar, "jagar de maison", est pratiquée dans la province indienne du Kumaon (Etat de l'Uttaranchal, Inde du Nord). S'inscrivant dans un champ disciplinaire dans lequel les rapports entre musique et rituel sont abordés sous l'angle de leurs modalités de performances, l'étude se veut également une réflexion sur la nature du temps musical comme manifestation interne du mouvement. Occupant une place centrale dans les processus conceptuels et dans leurs modes d'exécution, temps et mouvements apparaissent en effet ici comme les dénominateurs communs des danseurs et des musiciens.

Abstract:

This thesis examines the social and economic changes which took place in the Kumaon Division of the North-Western Provinces of India, from the time it was annexed to the possessions of the East India Company after the so-called "Nepal War" in 1815, unti11921. It recognizes the conditions which prevailed in the area at the time of annexation (when the previous administration had forced an unusual balance between the elites and the labour force) and the importance of the physical environment within which change occurred. The reasons for British interest in the area, and the motivation of the East India Company administrators, in particular, are discussed. The different understanding of the British administrators and the Kumaoni people of the way in which land rights and the social hierarchy were related illuminates the conflict which occurred in the British attempts to make commercial gains from the territory, particularly from its forest resource. This is examined in the light of the theory of the "moral economy of the peasant", first formulated by E. P. Thompson and developed by James Scott. On the other hand, Kumaonis withheld information from land administration officials, while some groups took advantage of the British emphasis on recording historical and demographic information to “verify” desirable social status for themselves. The study takes account of discussions of nineteenth century colonialist philosophy, its effects on colonized peoples, and of peasant resistance movements. The primary material consists largely of the records of the British administrators of Kumaon, while the secondary sources are books which have been written by both Indian and European scholars from the nineteenth century to the present. The work shows how the hopes held by the British rulers during the period, of access to Tibetan trade and the establishment of flourishing mining, tea and forestry industries, were not fulfilled in the expected ways, and how the Kumaonis adjusted to a changed balance between the land, its commercial use and its occupants.

Abstract:

All forms of texts carry messages and meanings depending on societal ideals and values, including children textbooks. In this critical text analysis we focus on how the values regarding gender is portrayed in a textbook for primary school students. The book we base our analysis on is Den magiska kulan (The Magical Ball) by Mats Wänblad (2011). Our purpose with this text analysis is to shine some light on the way gender is manifested in texts. The representations of what is seen as masculine and feminine are contributing factors on how we experience social reality based on discourses. Which notions of gender are expressed in the text? In what way are masculine and feminine traits represented in the texts’ meanings and messages? The method we chose to use is inspired by critical discourse analysis in which we focus on text as a discursive practice. To create an adequate analysis we combined our method with gender theories and terms central to the subject. Our result shows that the book represents both traditional and alternative gender roles and gender patterns. Male and female characters are represented almost equally throughout the book, however we found that female characters were portrayed with male characteristics more often than male characters with female characteristics. This shows that theories regarding the gender system are conformed by the text. Ideals concerning alternate gender roles, such as “the soft man” and “tomboy”, challenge stereotypes and our thoughts beyond dichotomies.

Abstract:

Kumano bikuni (the Buddhist nuns of Kumano) are itinerant female religious performers who were particularly active between the 16th and 18th centuries in Japan. Travelling across the country, they promoted the syncretic belief of the Kumano mountains, popular pilgrimage sites that have attracted a variety of people regardless of class, gender, and religious affiliation. To raise funds for temples and shrines there, they performed etoki (literally, picture deciphering) that addressed the everyday concerns of the masses, and especially women. Conceptualizing Kumano bikuni as mediators who bridged the religious world and the masses, this thesis examines how Kumano bikuni reflected perspectives of the audience at etoki performance and responded to diverse interests of different groups.

"Xe Wu Kuan" was written in Ching Dynasty, and its author, Ju Su Chen, was considered one of the member in Su Chou Playwright Group. Abstract:

Das Ziel der vorliegenden Arbeit war die retrospektive Analyse von Patienten mit einer mykobakteriellen Hautinfektion, die sich an der Klinik und Poliklinik für Dermatologie, Venerologie und Allergologie des Universitätsklinikums Würzburg oder in der Fachabteilung für Tropenmedizin der Missioklinik Würzburg in dem Zeitraum zwischen 1998 und 2018 vorgestellt haben. Es wurden verschiedene Aspekte wie die Anamnese, der mutmaßliche Infektionsweg, klinische und diagnostische Daten sowie die durchgeführte Therapie untersucht. Es konnten insgesamt 32 Fälle erfasst werden, die in 4 erregerspezifische Gruppen unterteilt wurden. Die Gruppe der Mycobacterium (M.) marinum-Infektionen war mit 18 Fällen am größten, gefolgt von 9 Infektionen mit weiteren nichttuberkulösen Mykobakterien (NTM; M. chelonae, M. avium, M. fortuitum, M. wolinskyi/ mageritense sowie M. haemophilum), 3 Fällen mit dem Erreger M. leprae sowie 2 kutanen M. tuberculosis-Infektionen. Der Anteil immunsupprimierter Patienten mit einer M. marinum-Infektion lag bei 22 %. In unserer Untersuchung stellte der Umgang mit Zierfischaquarien den größten Risikofaktor für eine Infektion mit M. marinum dar. Wie unsere Studie weiterhin zeigte, sollte auch bei knotigen Hautveränderungen in für kutane Mykobakteriosen untypischen Körperarealen, wie z.B. dem Gesicht, eine solche Infektion differentialdiagnostisch erwogen werden. Der kulturelle Nachweis misslang lediglich bei 2 Patienten mit einer M. marinum-Infektion. Die Diagnose konnte in diesen beiden Fällen anhand einer charakteristischen Anamnese, Klinik und Histopathologie gestellt werden. In der vorliegenden Untersuchung erfolgte die Therapie bei allen Patienten mittels einer Antibiose. In der M. marinum-Gruppe erwies sich insbesondere der Wirkstoff Clarithromycin als effektiv. Unter der Gabe von Doxycyclin kam es dagegen in 80 % der Fälle zu einer Therapieumstellung. In beiden Gruppen nichttuberkulöser Mykobakteriosen konnten die Monotherapien im Durchschnitt früher erfolgreich beendet werden als die Kombinationstherapien. Letztere kamen allerdings zum Einsatz bei einer zugrundeliegenden Immunsuppression bzw. bei einem ausgedehnten Hautbefund
The aim of this study was the retrospective analysis of patients with a mycobacterial skin infection who presented themselves at the Department of Dermatology, Venerology and Allergology of the University Hospital Würzburg or at the Department of Tropical Medicine of the Medical Mission Institute Würzburg between 1998 and 2018. Various aspects such as medical history, presumed route of infection, clinical and diagnostic data and treatment were examined. A total of 32 cases could be recorded, which were divided into 4 pathogen-specific groups. The group of Mycobacterium (M.) marinum infections was the largest with 18 cases, followed by 9 infections with other nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM; M. chelonae, M. avium, M. fortuitum, M. wolinskyi/mageritense and M. haemophilum), 3 cases with the pathogen M. leprae and 2 cutaneous M. tuberculosis infections. 22 % of the patients infected with M. marinum were immunosuppressed. In our study, the exposure to fish tanks was the greatest risk factor for an infection with M. marinum. Our study also showed that even in case of nodular skin lesions with uncommon localization, such as the face, the diagnosis of a mycobacterial infection should be considered. Only 2 cases of the M. marinum group were culture-negative. In these two cases the diagnosis was based on a distinctive medical history, histopathology and characteristic clinical symptoms. In this trial, all patients were treated with antibiotics. Within the M. marinum infections therapy with clarithromycin proved to be effective. However, treatment with doxycycline had to be changed in 80 % of cases. In both NTM groups the average duration of monotherapy was shorter than the one of combination therapy. Patients treated with combination therapy were immunosuppressed or showed extensive skin lesions

Wu Kuan, courtesy name is Yuan Bo, literary name is Pao Um。He was born in Suzhou Choshu . He was botn in Xuande Decade ( 1435 ) and died in Hongzhi seventeen years ( 1504 ).A famous chancellor and poet of Ming Dynasty, also work in prose and calligraphy; Xianzong Cheng Hua eight years, Wu Kuan　at the age of thirty-eight, the will try and court examination are eligible one. "Ming poetry critic," said Wu Kuan "remobe vanity and extravagant, return a pale, poetry such as willow withstand wind, warm not cold; another like a pedant on world affairs, tirelessly all day, true self exposed," Mr. Chien Chin-sung believes " Wu Kuan of the Tang, Song, Tang and with that parameter Song, still can, give up Tang and get into Song, become malpractice". Thus Wu Kuan poetry advocates should respect the Tang and refer Song.Wu Kuan and Li Dongyang, Wang Ao ,same with Hanlinyuan style for the human , as a focus the Northern Song Dynasty Ouyang Xiu ,at the time of the Ming Dynasty dominated the literary scene. As minister of Ming Dynasty famous chancellor and Hanlinyuan style, poetry Wu Kuan Shengping of the natural expression of peacefulness, and it should make a lot about empire, because longer than calligraphy, painting good tasting, so Paintings and chanting of poetry is also quite good.then Wu Kuan although people belonging to Jiangnan Literary Group, but future generations of people Wu Kuan study not too much, which causes significant Seven reputation around the Ming Dynasty in addition, so that future generations just like the Ming Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty Seven representatives of the literature in addition, the second reason is probably misunderstood world Hanlinyuan style very well, more than that Hanlinyuan style as a literary ideas of the same genre, Yang Shiqi, Yang Rong, Yang Pu is the representative, since the three are all courtiers, his poems for the addition of the word entertainment flattery, at the time it caused a lot of Scholars rebound, resulting in subsequent Poetry by Hanlinyuan style bad impression, that poetry is not very high value.
