Abstract:
With the spread of yoga, meditation, and other Eastern spiritual practices in Western countries, clinical cases of “physio kundalini syndrome” have begun to emerge. In this article I presented a case that, despite having common elements with a psychotic disorder, can be considered a typical clinical case of awakening of kundalini, since the patient was apparently able to solve his health problems without any medical intervention and says he is perfectly integrated into the community.

Abstract:
A typology of experiences of sudden spiritual awakening is suggested, proposing that they may occur in two major forms, or modes. In a study of 19 cases of self-reported sudden spiritual awakening (within a larger sample that included cases of wholly gradual spiritual awakening), it was found that 13 cases could be interpreted in terms of either (a) a sudden collapse of the ego or self-system (ego-dissolution) or (b) a kundalini-like explosive release of energy. Both these types of spiritual awakening appeared to be most frequently induced by intense forms of psychological turmoil, such as ber

The Kundalini and the Chakras are thought to be the most mysterious part of the yogic sciences. Awakening of the Kundalini is well assumed to be the supernatural power which cannot be achieved by the ordinary man. This invites me to investigate the anatomical and nervous correlation of the Kundalini and the Chakra with the help of both ancient and modern knowledge. As the Muladhara Chakra is said to be the root Chakra and the serpent power i.e., Kundalini lies in it in dormant state, the present article is specially concerns to represent the scientific correlation of the activation of the Kund

Abstract:
Spontaneous Spiritual Awakenings (SSAs) are subjective experiences characterised by a sudden sense of direct contact, union, or complete nondual merging (experience of oneness) with a perceived ultimate reality, the universe, “God,” or the divine. These profound transformative experiences have scarcely been researched, despite extensive anecdotal evidence suggesting their potential to catalyse drastic, long-term, and often positive shifts in perception, world-view, and well-being. The aims of this study were to investigate the phenomenological variances of these experiences, including the pote

<p> This thesis addresses perceived gaps in the Western fields of somatic and depth psychology around the phenomena of higher consciousness. Using hermeneutical methodology, higher states of consciousness are explored through the phenomenological lens of the Kundalini awakening experience. Personal accounts, psychological literature, and clinical data weave together to frame deeper insight into Kundalini awakening, which allows the field of psychology to advance its understanding of cultural attitudes around psychopathology by learning to host a client's experience of Kundalini awakening sympt
