Continuous rise in the world’s population has resulted in increase in the demand for shelter and consequently, higher demand for concrete. By occupying three-quarter of concrete volume, the demand for aggregates has also increased. Processes involved in the manufacture of the commonly used crushed aggregates are major sources of environmental pollution. There is need therefore, to find alternative sources of aggregates to cater for the high demand and also solve the problem of environmental pollution. This study investigated the properties of coarse aggregate obtained from Kuta all-in ag

Flexural and tensile strengths of concrete are of great importance in structural engineering. Understanding the flexural strength of concrete helps designers prevent and control development of cracks in concrete elements, ensuring durability. In addition to serviceability, shear, bond failure and flexural capacity in concrete members are directly linked to the tensile strength of the concrete. When compared to flexural and tensile strengths, determination of the compressive strength of concrete is easier to carry out in the field. It is therefore, customary to determine the compressive strengt

Abstract Coastal aquifers are essential for coastal communities worldwide, one of which is in the Mandalika area (Lombok Island, Indonesia). This area is the tourism sector which requires an adequate supply of fresh water. Mandalika is a coastal area dominated by alluvial plains, an excellent rock as an aquifer. However, alluvial plains are also susceptible to seawater intrusion. This study uses a combination of gravity and geomagnetic methods to estimate bedrock potential as aquifers based on a 3D inversion model. Data collection was carried out at 151 measuring points using the loop method.

The transition to the following Early Kurgan period, when wealthy individual graves in the shape of large barrows become common, appears to have been less sharp in Shida Kartli than elsewhere, and possibly mediated by the appearance of large collective pit grave
