Abstract:
The paper presents first data about the occurrence of <em>Synanthedon mesiaeformis</em> (Lepidoptera: Sesiidae) in the Kuyavia-Pomerania region. One dead specimen, devoured by the goldenrod crab spider <em>Misumena vatia</em>, was observed on the bank of the Mątawa river near Dubielno. The new locality significantly extends its known range of occurrence in Poland towards the north-west.

Abstract In the course of explorations of an early medieval fortified centre in Pawłówek on the periphery of East Pomerania and Kuyavia, as many as 49 coins and one planchet were found deposited within cultural layers dated back from the turn of the 1070s to the beginning of the 1100s.
