Full textToday, Sweden has developed into a multicultural country along with several different ethnicities in the urban community. This development has resulted in a state of fragmentation in the community. In this study, we choose to focus on the ethnic residential segregation that occurs all over the country. In order to accomplish this study, we also choose to confine ourselves to the urban district Norrby in Borås. The purpose of this study, is to research what factors that mainly can explain why complex collaboration projects turns out to be successful or problematic. Trust and collaboration are linked to the study through this purpose in order to create an understanding of how collaboration and trust in complex networks involving a great number of participants and other individuals could appear. In order to accomplish the study, we have immersed in how City of Borås implements their intentions and interventions in order to reduce the ethnic residential segregation in Norrby. The study includes a qualitative research study, together with qualitative interviews from different participants in Borås. The results show that it exists different factors which influence both prosperity and setbacks in projects of collaboration. The factors influencing prosperity, is that participants support each other in the collaboration, shows openness and reciprocity towards each other. These are factors which improve trust and collaboration. Other factors that also improve the creation of trust in collaboration is that the parties handle their area of responsibility and allow the other participants, but also the residents to be a part of the collaboration process. The repressive factors are among other, a lack of resources in the collaboration process, which leads to promises being broken. Working with integration is also a comprehensive task, which have resulted in responsibility and commitment in collaboration requires constant intervening. Finally, the last factors consist of the fact that it occurs a lack of communication and reciprocity between the participants, as well as between the residential and some participants whom are being perceived passive. This thesis is written in Swedish.

Full textUndersökningen är en kvalitativ studie som syftar till att granska den etniska boendesegregationen i bostadsområdet Malmvägen som är belägen i Sollentuna. Malmvägen är ett miljonprogramsområde som består av oattraktiva höghus med gråa fasader. Majoriteten av befolkningen har utländsk bakgrund och det råder en hög arbetslöshet bland områdets ungdomar. Hyrorna på Malmvägen är låga och många av invånarna är låginkomsttagare. På grund av begränsade valmöjligheter bor många familjer trångt. Det förekommer mycket fördomar mot området på grund av bråk och skadegörelse från 1990-talet. Att ett häkte nyligen byggts i området har inte minskat allmänhetens fördomar. Studiens syfte är att undersöka hur etnisk boendesegregation påverkar ungdomar samt hur denna typ av segregation kan förebyggas. Resultatet visar fem unga vuxnas erfarenheter samt upplevelser av att bo i det etniskt boendesegregerade Malmvägen. Även en fältfritidsledares utsagor gällande upplevelser av omständigheterna i området presenteras. Genom samtliga respondenters utsagor bekräftades att området är etniskt segregerat samt att detta medför en rad olika konsekvenser. Malmvägens ungdomar faller offer för den rådande etniska boendesegregationen vilket styrks av fältfritidsledarens utsaga; ”Hos ungdomarna saknas en känsla av att inte ha möjlighet i livet”.

Full textThis bachelor thesis treats the subject of internal communication. We have chosen to carry through a research about the police department of Värmland's internal communication since they have big responsibility to preserve safety and security in society. The police department has these days greater demands regarding how to conduct dialogue and the level of communication within the organization to further the efficiency of police work. The main purpose of this bachelor thesis is to obtain insight about the internal communication functions and how it is presented from the managers as well as the employees perspective. In this thesis we are using relevant theories regarding organizational communication, internal communication, organization identity, organization culture and communication models. Our approach to answer the purpose of this thesis was to use two customized questions to enable us to get a overall view and a deeper insight of our chosen theoretical framework. “How do the managers perceive the internal communication in the police department of Värmland?” “How do the employees perceive the internal communication in the police department of Värmland?” In this study we used qualitative interviews and a qualitative focus group. The result we obtained, showed that, internal communication with the chosen managers and the employees had both positive and negative experiences. The police department of Värmland's internal communication has gone through a positive development according to the managers. According to the managers, the police department of Värmland has a healthy working environment that offers good possibilities for dialogue between management and employees, and also clear guidelines for how the internal communication has to be conducted. However, there is room for improvement, since some experience it to be hard to communicate information that filters wrongly and creates misunderstanding. But the employees gave us a completely different picture since the daily work characterized in injustice, faulty internal communication that creates confusion and difficulties to get an overview about who has what responsibilities in the organization.
