The aim of this work is to confirm and verify the national identity of a target group in relation to the consumption of cultural goods referring to the particular example of the National theatre. With the help of a qualitative research conducted through semi-structured personal interviews supplemented by elements of graphic projective techniques, this selected target group (young people from 16 to 35 years old) hereby represents a new meaning of patriotism and attitude towards the National theatre. The results are put into context together with the goal of my investigation and the theoretical bases.

The focus of this masters thesis is on the phenomenon of stereotypical images of muslims and islam produced in the czech society. The effort is given to finding out these simplified images a indetifying factors leading to their creation. The solution of this problém is based on quantitaive research, which is used to identify possible dependencies in muslim and islam perception on different factors. All dependencies are statistically tested. The image of islam, as percieved by the majority in the Czech Republic, is then constructed based on questionnaire survey, statistical resuslts and media analysis.

The focus of this master thesis is on the phenomenon of neighborhood and social
relations between residents of the housing estate Cerny Most. The main objective of this
thesis is to determinate, what social relations and interactions are between residents
of Cerny Most and how different are these relations and interactions between
established residents and newcomers.
The research is a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches.
The quantitative part is based on a survey, which is focused on determinates
of neighborhood, for example the residential stability, the resident´s connection to Cerny Most
and spending of free time in the locality depending on location of residence and length
of staying in the location. Research is also focused on neighborly relations and social
interactions between residents of Cerny Most, but also between established residents
and newcomers. Research deals with the satisfaction in the place of residence, quality
of neighborly relations, purposeful meeting of neighbors and involvement in the
community life. The qualitative part is consist of field research, own photographs of the
area and semistructured interviews which help to better understanding to detected
areas. From the survey results, statistic calculations and semistructured interviews is
compile the plastic image of neighborly relations and interactions between the residents
of Cerny Most.

Private business subjects are characterised by their continuous effort for increasing their market position. Therefore they are permanently monitoring their own sthrengths and weaknesses, and they are also monitoring their competitors´ behaviour and customers´ needs and wishes. Such pieces of information can be received by analysis of business surroundings and from custommers´ opinion. Activities like these are called marketing research. The research should include all aspects that influence the way of perception of the company by any other market subject, or even the atmosphere inside the company. Information received is valuable for managers and their decision-making. Marketing research is a dynamicly developing field where new findings of social sciences are permanently applied. A significant developement in this field was reached mainly in last years. It is a result of the rapid progress of information and communication technologies. Modern forms of marketing research often use the Internet for collecting various information on the market.

The master thesis deals with the integration of foreign nationals in the territory of the Czech Republic, specificaly the immigrants from the third countries. The main objective is to identify factors affecting the integration of these persons. The thesis uses the method of qualitative research, where there are explained the causes of migration, the situation of immigrants after arrival to the destination country, the strategy of immigrants and their establishment of primary and secondary social networks, including maintaining their transnational relations. The thesis then focuses on the social content between the major society and the other etnic groups. The research part is also supplemented by statistics, which provides current data on the life of foreigners in the monitored area. The conclusions are compared with the opinions of experts, who work on integration of organizations and besides expert advice for foreigners they also focus on the education of members from the ranks of the majority.

The success of each organization is based on a good strategy. In my master´s thesis I deal with the topic of what is needed to create a good strategy and whether this theory is valid even in the sports environment. In particular, I deal with the creation of the strategy in the Won-hyo Třeboň sports club and how it's management works throughout the strategic planning cycle. The aim of the thesis is to find out how is the management of the club approaching the strategy. If they consider the strategy important. Eventually how do they approach each stage of the strategic planning cycle and how does this reflect the club's outputs? The research has a qualitative essence and is mainly based on interviews with the members of the club who are involved in the strategy creation. I have participated in this research. The result of the thesis is that the management considers the strategy to be important but does not proceed in accordance with the theoretical bases resulting from the research and synthesis of the strategy and strategic planning cycle literature. This fact at the end opens the space for possible recommendations for improving the effectiveness of the strategy in a given sports club.

This Master Thesis deals with the issue of crime and the perception of safety on the example of a housing estate area. In this case, it is a case study of the housing estate Černý Most. The basic principle is to provide a subjective perspective on the perceptions of safety of the inhabitants in the investigated area and to monitor the issue of what personal experience these residents realistically have with crime. The Thesis also seeks to identify the places that residents consider to be dangerous for them, which evoke the feeling of fear in them and to find out how their behavior changes in these places. Where applicable, to identify the similarities of these places, to trace if there are similar characteristics or whether it is the social and physical environment of the settlement itself that adds to the increased sense of fear. Moreover, work of the police and prevention against crime in the given location will be mentioned.

The issues of Islam, integration of Muslims and multiculturalism are currently major topics in the European space. Within the framework of this debate, among the search for self-identity, occur various stereotypical and prejudiced behaviours against this different religious and ethnic group. The everyday contact between Czech and Muslim communities within the Czech Republic happens primarily in the north-bohemian town of Teplice. This spa town provides excellent spa treatment, which attracts guests from Arabian countries. This thesis inquiries about the nature of relations between the local citizens and the Muslim population, which either permanently lives here or is on a temporary visit. It attempts to provide possible solutions for disputes of such coexistence.

The submitted thesis focuses on the period of forced collectivisation in rural Czechoslovakia and is a case study of the villages Lhenice and Mičovice. The focus of the work is to determine what images of collectivisation are still in the minds of the local residents and how this process affected the daily lives of their past.
The theoretical section explains the concepts of everyday life, socialistic everyday life, memory and collective memory. It was conducted in the form of oral history method and archive research. Thanks to this approach the work illustrates view of witnesses who lived during the process of collectivization. It deepens our understanding of Czechoslovak modern history through the perspective of local residents.

Buk lesní (Fagus sylvatica L.) je nejvýznamnější listnatou dřevinou České republiky. V minulých letech se jeho zastoupení velmi snížilo v důsledku nešetrné těžby, přírodních disturbancí a následně hlavně změnou lesního hospodaření, kdy se upřednostňovaly především jehličnaté dřeviny smrk ztepilý (Picea abies) a borovice lesní (Pinus sylvestris). Provenienční výzkum se, díky jejich preferování při pěstování, nejprve věnoval hlavně jehličnatým dřevinám, až v pozdější době se zaměřuje i na dřeviny listnaté. V současné době se naše lesní hospodářství k buku znovu vrací a jeho zastoupení se v našich lesích pomalu opět zvyšuje.
Úkolem diplomové práce je provedení terénního šetření na provenienční výzkumné ploše VÚLHM Strnady č. 82 Jíloviště, Baně ve věku 34 let (zjištění počtu rostoucích jedinců, tloušťkového a výškového růstu, tvárnosti kmene, větvení, úhlu větví, tloušťky větví), zjištěná a naměřená data statisticky zpracovat a vyhodnotit rozdíly mezi testovanými proveniencemi buku lesního.
V první části práce je zpracována literární rešerše, zaměřena na provenienční výzkum buku lesního, v další části jsou statisticky zpracovány kvantitativní a kvalitativní znaky zjišťované na výzkumné ploše. V poslední části jsou vyhodnocená data porovnávána s daty z minulých let.

This master´s thesis aims to analyse the perception of online advertising by the Czech online population and its subsequent segmentation to provide recommendations on how to efficiently use online advertising tools in the Czech internet environment. The thesis is divided into three parts - theoretical, methodological and practical. The theoretical part describes the online advertising environment as such, defines the basic concepts and describes research methods used in the thesis. The methodological part delves deeper into these methods and justifies the reasons behind using them. Finally, the practical part offers detailed insights into the perception of online advertising through in-depth semi-structured interviews that have been further elaborated on and verified using the author´s own questionnaire-based quantitative research, representing the entire Czech online population. The obtained data is used to uncover segments in the Czech online population by means of factor and cluster analyses, after which the profiles of the segments are characterised using the contingency tables. Building on the findings, the final chapter provides recommendations on how best to use different types of online advertising and how to address the individual segments in the most efficient way.

Purpose of the thesis was to find out and describe associations that are linked to the category of healthy food by consumers. Above all the aim was to identify, what represents healthy food for them and what other thoughts and themes are associated with healthy food by consumers. In-depth ZMET interviews were conducted to determine these associations. The findings and other issues related to the topic such as broader context and specifics of healthy food marketing are presented. The information mentioned can be used for marketing mix planning of companies in food industry. The research found out that healthy food is not perceived as special food category, but approach to the food consumption. Approach that takes into consideration what is good for the person in terms of health. For respondents healthy food represented mainly homemade dishes consisting quality, fresh, natural ingredients. According the respondents healthy eating is a way of eating respecting sum of principles. Main principles are variety and balance in the consumers diet.

This study presents and analyses opinions of 5 seasoned professional M&A advisers on merger failures. It integrates the perspectives of business strategy, economics, finance, organisation theory, and HR management on performance and success factors of mergers and acquisitions. The author modelled the factors of M&A failures and interplay between them into an integrative framework based on thematic analysis of participants' narratives. To ensure research validity, the author triangulated findings with existing literature. In conclusion, the author identified three major themes across data -- potential for dis-synergies stemming from misalignment of merging businesses, knowledge and planning efforts as a determinant of strategic rationale and post-merger integration, and psychological factors influencing key decision-makers.

In order to verify the public awareness of this company were used the questionnaires, the other part was checking the quality of services provided in a small detail shops belonging to the company with a method called Mystery shopping. As the outcome will be the merging of the results of the previous mentioned methods, thank to which we will be able to focus on the weak points and gaps in the promotion, followed by its cohesive and unification, including any possible recommendations. The proposal should serve as a sort of guide for setting up the marketing plan for the future.

The aim of this Master´s Thesis is to analyse the way in which non-governmental organizations approach the use of the internet for fundraising. The Master´s Thesis explores attitudes of non-governmental organizations towards this medium as well as the factors that motivate these organizations to use the internet. In order to achieve the aim the author carried out qualitative research based on semi-structured interview attended by representatives of a total of ten selected non-governmental organizations. The results show that non-governmental organizations use the internet for fundraising, however there are considerable gaps in their effectiveness. Online fundraising does not entail a significant financial source. Non-governmental organizations use the internet mainly to build a relationship with their supporters. Online fundraising is therefore seen as a complement to classic fundraising methods that still dominate in case of Czech non-governmental organizations.

The theoretical part explains the concept of marketing, marketing mix 7P, SWOT analysis, positioning, brand and quantitative and qualitative research. The practical part presents the company Fotolab and its three main competitors in the market. In this part, all companies are compared on an extended marketing mix 7P. The Fotolab company is evaluated in the context of a SWOT analysis. The practical part is based on questionnaires and individual interviews, from which the recommendations will come for the company in the conclusion.

Mezinárodní migrace nabyla v poslední době takového rozsahu, že někteří autoři hovoří o současné době dokonce jako o "éře migrace"1 Vzhledem ke globálním podmínkám (volnosti pohybu pracovních sil) a demografické situaci západního světa (stárnutí obyvatelstva, za jehož možné řešení je mezinárodní migrace pokládána) se dá očekávat, že její rozsah, a tedy i význam, se bude i nadále zvyšovat. Stále více lidí bude hledat obživu a místo k žití mimo hranice své domovské země. Stále více lidí se bude muset učit žít společně s lidmi jiné národnosti, jiné kultury nebo jiného náboženského vyznání. Jednou z nejdůležitějších otázek mezinárodní migrace přitom bude otázka zařazení imigrantů do přijímající společností. Na poli vědy i praktické mezinárodní politiky se již delší dobu vede rozsáhlá debata o tom, jak by integrace imigrantů do přijímající společnosti měla probíhat, aby se imigranti zařadili mezi většinovou populaci jako rovnocenní občané, ale aby přitom nebyly potlačovány znaky země jejich původu. Background: Typical users of cocaine are socially integrated individuals of higher education, higher income. They use it recreationally. It is a hidden population standing outside the range of addiction treatment. According to population research cocaine users in the Czech Republic create a minor subpopulation of drug users whose characteristics and behavior have not been adequately described. Aims: The primary aim is to describe patterns of cocaine use among recreational users using qualitative research methods. The secondary aim is to track how cocaine users value this drug in their lives. Methods: The concept of the study is based on qualitative research methodology. The snowball sampling was used as a selection method. Chosen respondents were given semi- structural interviews. The study sample contains 11 respondents, 7 men and 4 women in average age 26,7 (the youngest 20 years old, the oldest 33 years old) with a predominance of secondary or higher education. Data were analyzed according to the procedures of grounded theory. Results: Cocaine was consumed mainly during social events, mostly in night clubs in groups of friends. Background: Gambling games are evolving areas of pathological behavior, which, moreover, thanks to technological progress, take other forms. Not only in the context of the modern technologies are emerging young people engaged in gambling, who may represent a latent risk across the entire company. Aims: The main objective of the study is to trace the use of qualitative research methods motivation of young players to participate in a gambling game. A related goal is to identify the primary impulse for the first gambling game, subjectively perceived gains and losses from the game, the development of a hazardous and comparison of the motives of the young men with varying degrees of problem gambling game. Methods: Respondents were collecting method using snowballs. Subsequently, the semistructured interviews were made with them. Further was all participants presented the record sheet showing the socio-demographic differences, and a questionnaire SOGS to determine the extent of the problem with the gambling game. The topic of the thesis is post-war nationalization of the Czech inhabitants' properties into the state's ownership with reflection for the property return to the hands of the original owners, or rather to the hands of their heirs by means of the restitution proceedings. The restitution started in early 1990's and it is still in progress. The main target is to find out in what way have both transactions taken place, in what way the propertyless families have been affected, and last but not least, how the restitution has influenced being of the family in the last twenty after- revolution years, as well as how the related family perceived recent situation and finally in what way have been violated perception of justice regarding private ownership sanctity. The empirical part of the thesis is built on interviews with 5 chosen narators, who have been recorded by oral history technique. The basic question of the thesis is "family relation to the property" in progress of the researched years of 1948 - 2012. The main idea of the research is based on impulses given by the relation of the society to the unchangable history in connection to the change of legal relations, which is being brought by every new period.

Tématem této diplomové práce je vizuální stránka sebeprezentace a její vztah ke společnosti. Konkrétně jakými způsoby je sebeprezentace ovlivňována sociálními aspiracemi jedince a jak je podmíněna kulturně. Rovněž je pojednáno o funkci, kterou vizuální stránka sebeprezentace plní ve vymezování se jedince vůči společnosti, také při utváření sociálních vazeb a vizuální komunikaci. Hlavní částí práce je analýza kvalitativního výzkumu, které předchází teoretická úvodní část. První, teoretická část, uvádí do problematiky, objasňuje nejdůležitější užívané pojmy a rovněž je věnovaná přehledu závěrů, ke kterým došli autoři zabývající se příbuznými tématy. Empirická část se zakládá na kvalitativním výzkumu, který zrealizovala autorka této práce. Na základě analýzy dat je zde v jednotlivých podkapitolách pojednáno o hodnotách a postojích jedince a o aspektech životního stylu, které utvářejí výslednou sebeprezentaci. Jde jednak o popis celkový, jednak o srovnání vlivů proměnných jako je pohlaví, věk, tendence k individualismu, vztah k ekologii či aktivní kreativitě, orientace na peníze, na módu a jejich vzájemných souvislostí. Na konci diplomové práce nalezneme shrnující závěry, návrh dalšího možného postupu a polemiky s dříve uvedenými autory.

Kvalitativní a kvantitativní výzkum činnostních struktur brankáře fotbalu by měl určit obecně platné principy herní struktury výkonu brankáře, případně ukázat nové trendy a poskytnout srovnávací studii nejlepších brankářů Evropy- brankářů nejlepších evropských družstev na ME 2004 ve fotbale. Na týmovém herním výkonu se během utkání v kopané podílí jak hráči v poli, tak i brankář. I když jsou obě tyto role součástí celku, požadavky kladené na hráče na těchto postech během utkání se výrazně liší. Brankář totiž provádí odlišné individuální herní činnosti než hráči v poli a je při tom vystaven také daleko větší psychické zátěži, neboť jeho případná chyba se do vývoje utkání může promítnout daleko více, než chyba hráče v poli. A právě analýza individuálních herních výkonů brankářů na evropském šampionátu 2004 v Portugalsku, bude tvořit převážnou náplň mé diplomové práce. Mým cílem je na základě rozboru videozáznamů z utkání ME 2004 v Portugalsku, pomocí metod kvantitativního a kvalitativru'ho výzkumu vytvořit tzv. činnostní profil této hráčské funkce a zachytit kritická místa výkonu brankáře během utkání. Additionally there is an overview of inquiry based activities in the commonly used textbooks for first level of primary schools and the list of extended literature intended to inspire the teachers to practise inquiry based learning. The practical part of the thesis is based on information gained from interviews with primary school teachers. The aim was to find out how inquiry based learning is perceived by teachers. Their opinions, advanatages and disadvantages of inquiry based learning and its practical use in education is discussed. Consequently, overlaps and influence of such education methods on the integration of pupils to a society is presented here. The first part follows the research report from the conducted research on the psychosocial climate of the elementary school in Nová Bystřice. The conclusion of the thesis concerns the recommendations for the school based on the identified characteristics. Completed school climate surveys mainly use qualitative data collection methods. This thesis uses qualitative methods and tries to show that such research methods are suitable for schools climate research.

The first objective of this thesis is to describe motivational aspects of members of The Fire Brigade of the Czech Republic in a broader social frame which brought the to the selection of a specialization as members of post-traumatic care teams within The Fire Brigade of the Czech Republic. In the centre of the exploration there are questions of their motivation for a selection of their specialization and also questions about their expectations from the specialization, questions of their actual experience and of their value tendencies. The other objective of this thesis is to compare data from interviews with firemen with data from interviews with workers of psychosocial crisis intervention who were respondents of a pilot research. The theoretical part of the thesis describes basic definitions of topical dealt with in the research such as motivation, needs, crisis, crisis intervention, workers of crisis intervention, The Fire Brigade of the Czech Republic, firemen and qualitative research. The second practical part of the thesis presents a qualitative research aiming to describe motivational aspects of firemen. The main data collection method are semi-standardized interviews with 9 firemen - members of post-traumatic care teams from 5 district and 8 different fire brigade stations of the Czech Republic....

The thesis thematizes the antihero phenomenon in current television series, whereas the phenomenon mentioned is attempted to be explained by a qualitative reception research regarding the television series called Breaking Bad. Therefore, the aim of this research is to understand the motivations of viewers for selecting and watching series featuring a main protagonist that might be described as an antihero. It is thus a type of audience research that is attempting to identify the aspects that are the most attractive for audience of these kinds of narratives. Furthermore this thesis is trying to clarify viewer's attitudes towards antihero as a type of serial character, as it becomes apparent that these characters are becoming more popular than ever before. The results of this research offer an evaluation of viewer's motivations for watching the series featuring antiheroes and identification of aspects that are the most attractive for audience of these kinds of narratives.

The subejct of my graduation theses will be a study of individuals who have decided not to live in a shared household with their spouse. Their choice can be made under pressure of certain circumstances, due to personal preference or mutual decision. This study about relationships "living apart together" is the first qualitative analysis of its kind in the Czech Republic. In the first part of the study I will bring together results from available international materials about "living apart together" to compare modern trends of family behaviour in the Czech Republic. I will also use contenporary concepts related to transformation of the traditional family to alternative forms of relationship. In practical section I will present an analysis of detailed interviews with individuals involved in LAT. This analysis attempts to answer such questions as why some couples in the Czech Republic do not live together and how they make their relationships work, how this situation affects their lives and how they define themselves and their relationship.

Diploma thesis Fashion blogs and research on the phenomenon discusses a relatively new phenomenon of personal blogs with a focus on fashion and style. It presents fashion blogs in all their complexity, including the definition, classification, origin and evolution. The second section compares the descriptive way fashion blogs with thematically related fashion magazines and from various perspectives: formal characteristics, work organization, text, picture and graphic elements, audiences, the use of advertising and PR and representation of reality. The practical part is focused on qualitative research fashion blog - by a focus group interview with fashion bloggers and subsequently grounded theory method of analysis examines the various relationships, especially causal, which operate under the studied phenomenon. Through reveals further aspects of the fashion blogging such as motivation, fears, needs, dreams and ambitions of bloggers. The goal is to answer the question of how fashion blogs with its distinctive style and authors presentation define the fashion magazines and propose a basic theory of operation of the medium as yet not explored.

This diploma thesis focuses on teaching German language to preschool children in Czech nursery schools. The theoretical section defines the conditions of early foreign language learning and opinions on it, and presents arguments for early German as a second language learning. Suitable methods for education of preschool children are discussed as well. The aim of this thesis is to determine and compare how early foreign language learning is realized in particular preschool institutions, based on the information from videos made within the project "Intercultural education of children, students and teachers". E.g. whether the children understand instructions given in foreign language and the teacher's speech, the extent to which the communication takes place in German within the group, which activities are most often used, the ways or forms of implementation of these activities and whether they meet the conditions of early foreign language learning. The diploma thesis summarizes the education methods of individual preschool institutions and identifies potential mistakes made, and it suggests more effective ways of teaching.

This thesis deals with domain of teacher collective efficacy, that is related to the self-efficacy concept, both are part of the social cognitive theory from Albert Bandura. The theoretical part first summarizes basic theoretical background of self-efficacy. Next part deals with topic of teacher self-efficacy that played important role in forming of the concept of teacher collective efficacy and its measurements. Then it summarizes information and results of research relevant to the new emergent concept of teacher collective efficacy. The empirical part describes the qualitative research that was carried out. Its goals were to map the concept of teacher collective efficacy among teachers in primary and secondary schools and how they reflect on this concept and then to suggest new possible model and possible directions for creating a teacher collective efficacy scale for Czech teachers. Research method were half- structured interviews with 8 teachers and the use of thematic analysis. It was found out that interview contained several common themes. After comparing it with theoretical conception of collective efficacy, modified model of teacher collective efficacy was suggested with 4 main themes: support, collective team, pupils and parents. V dnešní době, kdy společenský vývoj probíhá hekticky, dochází k tomu, že mladí lidé se mnohdy brání stát se součástí světa dospělých. Je to pravděpodobně dáno faktem, že v současnosti je život dospělého člověka náročnější a složitější, než tomu bývalo dříve. Prostředí sociálně vyspělé společnosti mnohdy poskytuje nepříznivé podmínky pro vývoj mladých lidí - mimo jiné také proto, že se v dnešním světě mění postoj ke vzdělání. Vzdělání se v mnoha případech eliminuje na prostředek k získání ekonomicky lukrativnějšího zaměstnání, stává se pojistkou ke vstupu do tzv. "vyšší společnosti". A ačkoli se mladí lidé na jedné straně brání přijímat názory předchozích generací, na straně druhé však mnohé z těchto názorů od nich nevědomky přijímají. A to včetně některých negativních momentů v hodnotových orientacích, ve způsobu života i k výše zmíněnému přístupu ke vzdělání. Společnost slouží mladému člověku kromě jiného také jako sociální zrcadlo. Mladý jedinec se snaží být svým okolím akceptován, zejména jedná-li se o prostředí vrstevnické, neboť mu to přináší uspokojení, jistotu, kladné hodnocení, na jehož podkladě buduje své sebehodnocení, jež bývá v tomto věku často narušeno změnami dospívání a četnými konflikty.

This thesis focuses on social networks and the role they play in the lives of teenagers. My aim was to provide insight into teenagers' worlds on Facebook and Instagram. The first part provides a theoretical basis for my research and summarizes foreign research on this topic. The second part describes the research methodology that has been performed in this thesis, in addition to the sample who participated in this research. Finally the results of this research are compared with research of foreign authors. The main research question was "What are the motivations of teenagers to use social networks and how do teenagers represent themselves in these surroundings?" The next research questions focused on privacy concerns and whether teenagers take their own safety into consideration when using Facebook and Instagram. My research demonstrates that electronic social networks are primarily used by teenagers as a means of maintaining contact with their peer group rather than making new social connections. Though social networks such as Facebook and Instagram play a primary role in teenagers' social interactions, there are many privacy risks that are not easily accessible to teenagers and present long-term challenges for their electronic presence. This master thesis aims to map the behavioral patterns of Facebook usage and the dependence of these patterns on the users' characteristics. This thesis had the goal to generate hypothesis about peoples' behavior on Facebook - what information, where and why people look for and what information, with whom and why they share. In other words, to describe "the life on Facebook" and to contribute to expanding the knowledge about Facebook's social role, its deeper theoretical reflection and to anchor Facebook more solidly into the system of media theories. In the first theoretical part I have characterized and defined Facebook, sketched its history and development, briefly summarized the studies concerned with Facebook and as well described the contemporary media studies theoretical approach to Facebook. The research itself was carried out through the series of qualitative interviews with Facebook users. Based on this data analysis I have formulated various hypotheses about peoples' behavior on Facebook, about the regularities in the way people share and search for information on Facebook. These hypotheses should serve as a basis and foundations of the subsequent quantitative research.

The thesis is focused on the general level of education of secondary school students, especially in terms of its stability, or vice versa its changes. The attention is paid to the most important factors involved in the process of education and general knowledge and skills of today´s students. The thesis sets out to meet the theoretical bases of education and then present the resulting theory, which is based on qualitative survey. The theoretical part deals with the definition of education, their functions and defining the main institutions and factors, which are involved in the education learning process. The practical part is based on a qualitative survey, which was conducted through structured interviews with open questions that were carried out with secondary school teachers from different types of schools. The data collected from these interviews was examined by grounded theory, and then analysed. This thesis, in the practical part, shows a new theory explaining the surveyed area.

This thesis,named Family from the children's point of view, is based on qualitative research. This research was realized at Art School (Classof Fine Arts). Communication partners of this research were pupils (boys and girls) between six and fifteen years.The research was based on specific method of data collection. Pupils were drawing pictures showing their ideas. These pictures were interpreted using interiews with their authors. Teoretical part of the thesis deals with family and its specific functions. Gender and gender roles are also discussed in the first part. Methodological part of the thesis describes the research, its specifics and its hinterland. The third part deals with the results of the research. Results across the historical periods are described in the last part of the thesis.The results show some tendencies and stereotypes in the children's perception of historical family forms. The research also reveals some children's inspiration sources, such as fairy tales or movies. Children's pictures (from the research) are added to the thesis.
