Abstract:
Smješten između istarskog poluotoka i gorskog trupa Velebita, Kvarner zauzima 3 264 km površine i broji 309 759 stanovnika (1991. godine). Demografska slika, inače promjenjiva u prostoru i vremenu, ukazuje na nisku stopu prirodnog kretanja, neujednačenu strukturu stanovništva i njegovu pretežnu koncentraciju u gradska središta. Opće značajke Kvarnera mogu se svesti na sljedeće: populacija stari, Hrvati neprestano i uvjerljivo drže brojčanu prevagu, tercijarni sektor djelatnosti apsorbira većinu aktivnog stanovništva, ruralna naselja pretežno stagniraju ili opadaju, urbana središta mahom bilježe porast broja stanovnika tako da stupanj urbanizacije prati uzlazni trend. Autor vrši analizu i usporedbu demografskih kretanja na kopneno-otočnom dijelu Kvarnera.

Abstract:
Na istarskom se poluotoku na prijelazu iz 19. u 20. st. počinju tiskati dvije serijske publikacije. Prva, naslova Atti e memorie della Società istriana di archeologia e storia patria (AMSI) počinje izlaziti 1884. u Poreču kao časopis društva Società istriana di archeologia e storia patria, osnovanoga u Poreču iste godine. Uz neke prekide taj časopis izlazi i danas. Druga je publikacija Pagine istriane (PI), koja je od 1903. do 1987. s dvama prekidima izlazila u Kopru, Puli, Trstu i Genovi. Oba časopisa u sebi objedinjuju raznoliku tematiku vezanu za Istru, Furlaniju i Julijsku krajinu te Kvarner. U njima se nalaze radovi s područja povijesti i povijesti umjetnosti, arheologije, jezikoslovlja, etnologije i folklora, književnosti, filozofije, politike, glazbe, Crkve, arhitekture itd. Cilj je ovoga članka bio popisati radove s područja lingvistike objavljene u tim dvama publikacijama. Popis je dobiven pregledavanjem primjeraka tih časopisa dostupnih u knjižnici Zavoda za povijesne i društvene znanosti HAZU u Rijeci, knjižnici Državnoga arhiva u Rijeci, na stranicama Digitalne knjižnice Slovenije (http://www.dlib.si/), u Sveučilišnoj knjižnici u Rijeci, Nacionalnoj i sveučilišnoj knjižnici u Zagrebu, u knjižnici Arheološkoga muzeja Istre te u knjižnici Centra za povijesna istraživanja u Rovinju (Centro di ricerche storiche di Rovigno). Ukupno je popisano 170 bibliografskih jedinica, koje su zatim podijeljene u dvije skupine. Prva skupina sadrži 80 radova u kojima su etimološki obrađeni toponimi smješteni na području Istre, Kvarnera te Furlanije i Julijske krajine, dok druga skupina broji 90 radova s područja dijalektologije, kontaktne lingvistike i antroponimije. U bibliografiju radova nisu uključeni prikazi i recenzije lingvističkih radova, već samo rasprave i članci. Ovaj prilog bibliografiji zasigurno može poslužiti istraživačima jezičnih tema na području Istre, Kvarnera te Furlanije i Julijske krajine.

Der Begriff Destination ist (an sich selbst) seghr ungenau. Viele Mitwirker sin din der Schaffungskette für ein touristisches Produkt aktiv. Im grossen oder geringerem Umfang der Zusammenarbeit mid diesen Mitwirkem führt die öffentliche Organisation für das Destinationsmanagement Förderungsaktivitäten ohne Einwirkung auf die gesamte Marketingpolitik (produkt - Dienstleistung, Preis, Distributionskanälen) durch. Damit ist das Schaffen einer Schutzmarke, welce die Destination identifiziert und diferenziert noch zusammengesetzter. Der Bereich welchen die touristische Destination Kvarner «deckt» ist ziemlich «fluid». Es stellt sich die Frage: sind die geographischen, kulturologischen, touristischen und andere Unterschiedlichkeiten ein «Stein des Anstosses» oder ein komparativer Vorteil?! Destination Kvarner: 160 Jahre alte Tourismustradition, nach einer Reihe Indikatoren stellt sie ein Viertel des kroatischen Tourismus dar, zahlreiche touristische Orte sind auf dem Tourismusmarkt affirmiert, auch der Bedarf nach Repositionierung besteht, hat noch immer nicht (ungenügend) valorisierte touristische Ressourcen, die «Zugehörigkeit» der Destination - Kvarner fehlt. Die Gründung der touristischen Gemeinschaft Kvarner, die Marktpositionierung und die bisherige Einwirkung sin din der Abeil umfasst. Das Management der touristischen Gemeinschaft ist in Zusammenarbeit mit dem System der touristischen Gemeinschaften, im touristischen und auch weiterem Umkreis bemüht eine touristische Schutzmarket zu schaffen.

Abstract:
The paper describes the basic demographic processes on the Kvarner islands in the last twenty years. The census data from this period show a constant population growth on the Kvarner islands and promote them into one of the most vital sub-regions of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. The results of the analysis show that the mechanical component of the total population change, i.e. immigration, which managed to overcome the negative natural demographic trend, was the cause of this positive demographic trend. As a result, natural population change on the Kvarner islands 1991-2011 belongs to the "regeneration by immigration" type. However, since increased immigration did not influence the reduction of the negative natural demographic trend, it is safe to presume that "fictive" residents dominate the immigration contingent. This hypothesis is supported by the comparison of the census change index 2011/2001 and the type of demographic resources index in 2001.

Abstract:
Purpose – Tourism demand for destinations, services and facilities is changing rapidly and only the destinations with high adaptability can expect to survive. Tourists prefer destinations with strong brands that guarantee a high level of service quality and are prepared to pay for it. Design – This study designs to determine that destination has to recognize the importance of tourism, but, as a brand, Kvarner is not distinctive enough. Based on its natural beauty, rich heritage and its vicinity and accessibility to a large part of Europe, it has the potential of becoming a leading destination. Methodology – Research was carried out in accordance with the Integrated Model of Destination Competitiveness based on 85 indicators. Various statistical methods like T-test, Wilcoxon signed rank test and Shapiro-Wilk test were used. Approach – The research was conducted using a questionnaire, through a dissemination of emails and personal interviews with tourist officials and people involved in the development of tourism in the Kvarner area. Findings – This study finds that destination management is the weak point of destination competitiveness and hypotheses that resources strongly support the overall competitiveness of destination Kvarner, than the elements of destination management and that destination brand is not sufficiently distinctive are confirmed. Originality of the research – This study provides valuable information and comparable data about competitiveness of Kvarner destination and points at brand influence on destination competitiveness.

Abstract:
The catalogue of Renaissance sculpture in the Kvarner Gulf is here enlarged with some hitherto unevaluated contributions, while those already known are considered in a different context. The paper provides a description of the process of reception of Renaissance stone sculpture in this region, including the dispersion of individual workshops. The author also proposes a hypothesis concerning the workshopof Master Franjo as the dominant workshop of the region, primarily based on its prolonged activity and widespread presence in the Kvarner Islands and the nearby mainland.

[Kvarner v času železne dobe severnega Jadrana] V starejši železni dobi severnega Jadrana je poleg Istre imel posebno mesto tudi Kvarner. Njegovo vlogo in pomen v komunikacijah in kroženju blaga v tistem času nakazujejo starejše in novejše raziskave. čeprav so se v zadnjih dveh desetletjih izvajale predvsem zaščitne arheološke raziskave, je bilo poleg posameznih najdb zbrano veliko novega gradiva, nekaj tudi povsem nepričakovanega. V članku je predstavljen kratek pregled raziskovalcev in stanja raziskav, opisane so reprezentativne ostaline materialne kulture ter pomembnejše najno- vejše najdbe, ki omogočajo obravnavo kvarnerske skupnosti v novi luči, zlasti v konkretnejši povezavi s sosednjimi, a tudi oddaljenimi kulturnimi skupnostmi od Alp do Jadrana in od Apeninov do Balkana.

Abstract:
The responsibility to preserve our natural and cultural heritage is not just a national issue but also, through international agreements, an international commitment. In World Heritage Education (WHE) students are expected to know, to cherish and to act in favour of World Heritage sites and communities. The aim of this quantitative and qualitative study is to investigate teachers’ views of WHE and the Kvarken Archipelago as a learning environment. A total of 105 teachers within Finnish primary and secondary education answered a questionnaire. The results indicate that teachers struggle to meet Unesco´s aims of WHE. The respondents primarily emphasize students´ knowledge of WH sites. A few respondents highlight the skills and experiences needed to reinforce young students´commitment to preserve WH sites, and to help close the gap between school and society. A more distinct connection to PBL and ESD is discussed as one of the pedagogical implications for the development of WHE.

Abstract:
Only a small part of particle physics is mentioned in the physics courses for Swedish high school students, despite the fact that particle physics is a field where a lot of research and progress are being done today. The first two physics courses in Swedish high schools include an overview of the standard model and the particles and interactions within the model. By designing an experiment where students get to use data from the ATLAS experiment in CERN they not only get to learn more about particle physics, they also get the opportunity to learn how to work similar to how researchers work in this field. This project was inspired by the Hands-on-CERN project which is focusing on increasing high school students interest and understanding of particle physics. By imitating Hands-on-CERN’s way of working, an experiment for high school students has been designed. In the experiment students get to discover the existence of quarks, even though they can not be observed as free particles but only in bounded states; so called hadrons. By analyzing data from the ATLAS experiment of the decay of the Z boson, you get to the conclusion that the Z boson more often decay to hadrons than to leptons with a proportion of about 14:71. This proportion depends on the various possibilities of hadrons that the Z boson can decay to, depending on the inner structure of hadrons consisting of quarks, dissimilar to the leptons which have no inner structure.
I fysikkurserna på gymnasiet ingår endast en liten del av partikelfysiken, trots att det är ett område som är väldigt aktuell inom forskning. I Fysik 1 och 2 ingår en översiktlig orientering om standardmodellen och de partiklar och interaktioner som ingår i modellen. Genom att utforma en laboration där eleverna får använda sig av data från ATLAS-experimentet på CERN får de både möjligheten att lära sig mer om partikelfysik och prova att arbeta på ett sätt som liknar forskarnas arbetssätt. Inspiration till arbetet har hämtats från projektet Hands-on-CERN som inriktar sig på att öka gymnasieelevers intresse och kunskaper inom partikelfysik. Genom att efterlikna Hands-on-CERNs sätt att arbeta har en laboration lämplig för gymnasieelever utformats. I laborationen får eleverna möjlighet att upptäcka att kvarkar finns trots att de inte går att observera i fria tillstånd, utan endast i bundna tillstånd; så kallade hadroner. Data från Z-bosonens sönderfall hämtas från ATLAS-experimentet i CERN analyseras, från vilken man kan dra slutsatsen att Z-bosonen sönderfaller oftare till hadroner än till leptoner, ett förhållande på ungefär 14:71. Förhållandet beror på att det finns fler möjliga hadroner som Z- bosonen kan sönderfalla till, vilket i sin tur beror på hadronernas inre struktur bestående av kvarkar, till skillnad från leptonerna som saknar inre struktur.

The latest thing in the area of environmental building today is energy-plus-house. The idea behind the energy-plus-house is to create a house that produces more energy than it consumes. To accomplish this, the house uses renewable energy, in this particular case solar energy. With the help from a proper construction and thoughtfully projected installations you can achieve a surplus of energy. The surplus energy can then be sold to the surrounding buildings and thereby conduce to a financial profit for the household. We have focused on the project “Kv. Trettondagen” which has been designed by JM Entreprenad AB on the order of Stockholmshem AB. Together with JM Entreprenad AB we have compiled this study which focuses on calculations of the installations. We have implemented a study where we compare the energy performance of “Kv. Trettondagen” with the growing energy requirements of today.There is a requirement that ”Kv. Trettondagen” should reach the technical standard of a passive house. Calculations by hand does not give a result that matches those requirements but calculations using data-driven energy calculation programs shows a result that meets the requirements of a passive house.”Kv. Trettondagen” will produce a energy surplus of 4000 kWh per year and that surplus is a pure profit for the owner Stockholmshem AB. The surplus that’s produced comes from solar panels and is a surplus of heat energy.Results in this report shows that “Kv. Trettondagen” meets the requirements for being a labeled as a Svanen building. It also shows that “Kv. Trettondagen” reaches a high rating in the environmental certification of Miljöklassad byggnad. From our point of view “Kv. Trettondagen” will accomplish a good result when being certified by LEED and BREEAM.

Abstract:
Syftet med detta examensarbete är att göra en energianalys av sex äldre flerbostadshus. Fastigheterna befinner sig på kvarter Kommissionären och tillhör Mariehus AB. Detta är ett företag som förvaltar hyresfastigheter och ger trygghet i boendet. Syftet med studien är att hjälpa företaget att energianalysera sina fastigheter ur både ett byggtekniskt och energitekniskt perspektiv. Målet med examensarbetet är att redovisa energianvändningen och energiförlusterna för de sex byggnaderna. Inom detta arbete togs ett par åtgärder för att minska energianvändningen och samtidigt effektivisera energianvändningen. De sex undersökta byggnaderna är byggda mellan 1940- och 1960-talen och är i behov av renovering för att de ska bli mer energieffektiva. Orsaken är de stora värmeförluster som sker genom de olika byggdelarna och otätheterna i klimatskalet. Avseende ventilationen förlorars mycket energi årligen och med några enkla åtgärder kan energianvändningen effektiviseras. Resultatet visar att fastigheterna idag är i relativt gott skick med tanke på deras ålder men möjligheter till att minska byggnadernas höga energianvändning finns.
This bachelor thesis does an energy analysis of six multi-family houses. The properties are located in the housing block called Kommissionären and are owned by Mariehus AB. This company manages and develops renting apartments and make sure that their residents feel good in their properties. The purpose of this diploma work is to help the company analyze their properties from both an energy and a building technical point of view. The purpose is to study energy usages and energy losses. This proposes a couple of steps to reduce and improve the energy efficiency in the houses. The six houses were built between in the 1940´-s and the 1960’-s and are in need of refurbishment to become more energy efficient. The reason is large energy losses through different parts of climate shell. Regarding ventilation, a lot of energy is lost annually which, through simple measures, can be saved. In summary, the six multi-family houses are in fairly good condition considering their age, but that there is still potential for saving energy due to the high energy losses.

Annotation in English My graduation work talking about the Czech string quartets shows the description about the most important and in my opinion the most successful string quartets in the Czech Republic that has strongly influenced the way of musical apperance of the contemporary string quartets in the CR. I am putting into my graduation work the information about the Czech string quartet chronologically in the historical order starting with the Czech String Quartet. My intention is, also, to provide the information about the job activities of the Czech contemporary string quartets that are representing the Czech culture and the musical tradition abroad. I am observing, through my graduation work, the way how the Czech string quartets change the musical interpretations that has been changed after several decades. However, there are no doubt that the Czech string quartets are still representing our country abroad.

Abstract:
Denna studie handlar primärt om social hållbarhet som är ett stort och omfattande begrepp. I dagens stadsplanering används begreppet i ett bredare perspektiv. Studien har som syfte att fokusera mer ingripande på social hållbarhet för enskilda multifunktionella byggnader, genom att samla in kunskap om ämnet och belysa innebörden. De valda multifunktionella byggnaderna är Icon i Växjö och Spektrum i Göteborg. Syftet med denna studie är att genom forskning och utvärdering konkretisera människans dagliga behov och hur de kan tillgodoses i en multifunktionell byggnad samt dess bidragande roll för ett socialt hållbart kvarter. Målet är att få en tydligare uppfattning om vilken påverkan den multifunktionella byggnaden har på ett kvarter. Genom utformning och tillämpning av ett verktyg som tagits fram inom ramen för den aktuella studien skall byggnadens sociala hållbarhet kunna utvärderas utifrån människans vardagliga liv, behov och intressen.  Intervjuer med ansvariga projektledare, arkitekter, handledare och sakkunniga har tillsammans med insamling av vetenskapliga rapporter, studiebesök, enkät och observationer varit centrala tillvägagångssätt för studien. Att arbeta mot en mer blandad bebyggelsemiljö och byggnader som har olika verksamheter som samsas är idag alltmer förekommande för att uppnå ett livligare och trevligare stadsrum. Utifrån studiens utformade verktyg har respektive multifunktionell byggnad fått olika sociala poäng som baseras på storlek, verksamheter, tillgänglighet och multifunktionalitet. Studien visar att respektive multifunktionell byggnad har givit mervärde till sitt område.
This study focuses primarily on social sustainability, which is a large and comprehensive concept. In today's urban planning, social sustainability is used on a broader perspective. The study aims to focus more on the concept for individual multifunctional buildings by gathering knowledge about the subject and highlight the meaning. The chosen multifunctional buildings are Icon in Växjö and Spektrum in Gothenburg. The purpose of this study is, through research and evaluation, to concretize people's daily needs and how they can be met in a multifunctional building and its contribution to a socially sustainable neighbourhood. The goal is to get a better understanding of which impact the multifunctional building has on its block. The goal is also designing and application of a tool developed in the context of the current study and to use this tool to evaluate the building's social sustainability based on people's everyday lives, needs and interests. Interviews with responsible project managers, architects, supervisors and other experts, together with the gathering of scientific reports, study visits, questionnaires and observations, has been the studies central approach. Working towards a more mixed urban environment and buildings that have different operation that are combined is nowadays increasingly common for a livelier and more enjoyable urban space. Based on the study´s designed tool, each multifunctional building has received different social points that depends on size, operations, availability and multifunctionality. The study shows that each multifunctional building has added value to its area.

Abstract:

Detta examensarbete handlar om utformning av ett kvarter som är gjort på uppdrag av Peab Sverige AB. Kvarteret Negern ligger i Tingvallastaden i centrala Karlstad och idag finns på platsen en gammal tryckeribyggnad och parkeringsgarage. Området gruppen utformat är 2600 m2 stort och skall inrymma ett 60-tal lägenheter. Målgruppen för arbetet är hushåll med två personer, därför kom det att bli tvåor och treor i alla plan utom i det översta där det kommer att vara två fyror.

Arbetet resulterade i två punkthus (se figur 1) om åtta respektive nio våningar i varje och ovanpå dessa en stor takterrass. Fasaderna består av ljus puts och bottenplan av granitplattor, för att ge tyngd åt byggnaderna och för att motverka klotter.

På innergården finns det bland annat fontän, grill och lekplatser. Byggnaderna omringas av staket och buskar.

Parkeringsfrågan löstes genom att använda det befintliga garaget och schakta ur under Negern 6 och 10 för att göra parkeringsgarage och förrådsutrymme i ett plan. Tillgång till hiss finns i båda byggnaderna och den går från garaget upp till terrassen på taket.

I det ena huset kommer det att finnas tvättstuga, samlingslokal, gym samt två stycken övernattningslägenheter som de boende kommer att ha tillgång till.

Gruppen ville skapa en känsla av trygghet och välbefinnande inom området. Detta gjordes genom att belysa gångar samt undvika höga buskar. Parkeringsgaraget skall inte ha några mörka vrår utan belysas så människorna kan känna sig trygga.

Arbetet är utfört med hjälp av Google SketchUp 6 som är ett program för 3D-ritning. Fördelen med detta program var att gruppen kunde konstruera de befintliga byggnaderna så att de blev så autentiska som möjligt. Därmed blev kvarteret mer verklighetstroget och det blir enklare att orientera sig samt se hur byggnationen passar in i kvarteret. Visualiseringen av kvarteret presenteras i form av 3D-bilder.

Abstract:
Equilibrium represents the motor capability responsible for the performance of virtually all functional movements. Thus, the importance of early diagnosis of equilibrium levels in boys and girls was recognized as the key factor for the prevention of motor deficits and muscles misbalances later in life. Purpose: The purpose of this paper was to show the difference between boys and girls aged 7‒10 years in the level of unilateral static balance of the take-off leg. Methods: Research was conducted at the Kvarner Athletics Club Rijeka, and it involved 80 children aged 7‒10 years (38 boys and 42 girls). Measurement of static unilateral equilibrium was obtained using Gyko Inertial System (Microgate, Bolzano, Italy). Three attempts were made in 20 seconds and two motor variables were observed: medio-lateral and antero-posterior trajectories of the body. For both variables, the arithmetic mean, the minimum and maximum score and standard deviation were calculated. Moreover, a non-parametric method of the Mann-Whitney U test was used to determine statistical significance between boys and girls. Statistical significance was set at p < 0.05. Results: Statistically, girls have significantly better results compared to boys, both in the medio-lateral trajectory variable (M_Sumg = 335.1, M_Sumb = 479.34) and the antero-posterior trajectory variable (M_Sumg = 291.14, M_Sumb = 411.71). Conclusion: The results of this study showed that girls aged 7‒10 years achieved significantly better results compared to boys in observed motor variables (medio-lateral and antero-posterior trajectory of the body), when performing a static unilateral take-off leg balance test. These results are consistent with previous research. Indications for such results stem from different perspectives, among which the most common one refers to the earlier maturation of the systems responsible for postural control in female bodies. Recommendation for further research is to conduct examination on a larger sample of subjects, in younger children (pre-school age) and with both legs.
