Dans son oeuvre intitulée Franciados libri duo, le jésuite Laurent Le Brun personnifie la Nouvelle-France (Nova Gallia). La déesse adresse quatorze élégies rédigées en latin à de puissantes personnalités françaises : ces lettres-poèmes présentent les difficultés auxquelles doivent faire face les Premières Nations en Nouvelle-France, en décrivant la vie des autochtones d’un point de vue topographique et ethnographique. L’ouvrage n’a jusqu’à présent reçu que peu d’attention. Pourtant, la manière dont l’auteur utilise les figures latines classiques et les topoï afin de rendre cet « autre » Canadien compréhensible à un public européen et humaniste mérite d’être étudiée. Parmi ses nombreuses allusions aux poètes classiques, la Franciade entretient un long dialogue intertextuel avec les Tristes et les Pontiques d’Ovide. Ce dialogue permet à Le Brun de transformer l’appel individuel d’un exilé à la clémence impériale en un plaidoyer pour la rédemption universelle d’un monde non civilisé.

Si la mal-aimee franciade suscite depuis une vingtaine d'annees un regain d'interet, elle n'a pas encore fait l'objet d'une etude d'ensemble, qui prenne en compte, davantage que la theorie de l'epopee enoncee dans les arts poetiques, sa pratique effective. Nos outils critiques sont empruntes a la lexicologie (index d'a. E. Creore) et a l'intertextualite. Distincte de celle projetee pour henri ii, "la franciade de charles ix" s'ouvre sur une importante "epistre au lecteur", qui en laisse percevoir les enjeux. L'action proprement dite commence a buthrote, cette troie contrefaite ou vit un prince cache, engourdi, que des dieux vont venir reveiller. La tempete precipite francus "dans les erreurs de crete", l'ile des grands mythes antiques, espace clos ou s'affrontent les forces antagonistes de l'ordre et du desordre, bientot incarnees par le prince troyen et le tyran phovere. Une seconde epreuve attend le heros, aime de deux princesses a la fois dont il doit rejeter l'une et courtiser l'autre. Le dernier livre, "des plus beaux" au jugement d'amadis jamyn, fait succeder la magie a l'amour, la lecon d'histoire a l'eschatologie. Cet ample catalogue royal est riche de significations, aussi bien politiques qu'esthetiques. Tout au long des quatre chants, resonnent aux oreilles du lecteur les voix entrecroisees mais assourdies d'homere, d'apollonios, de virgile, d'ovide; et aussi celle de ronsard lui-meme, qui reprend bien des themes et motifs anterieurement traites pour en offrir ici une nouvelle sinon ultime variation. Sa pratique du poeme heroique, affranchie des normes edictees par le theoricien, privilegie l'invention et la varietas, jusqu'a faire de la franciade une maniere de "roman". Meme inachevee, l'ambitieuse tentative du vendomois ne devait pas rester sans echo : nous en suivons la reception contemporaine jusqu'en 1578, en meme temps que le long poeme cherche sa place dans le monument des oeuvres
Although the long-disregarded franciade has prompted renewed interest over the past twenty years, it still hasn't formed the object of any overall study which would take into account the actual practice of the epic rather than its theory as stated in the artes poeticae. Our critical tools are borrowed from lexicology (a. E. Creore's word-index) and intertextuality. Unlike the epic designed for henri ii, "la franciade de charles ix" opens with a noteworthy "epistre au lecteur", enlightening us on what is at stake. The action itself starts in buthrote, that counterfeit, troy, home of a hidden and drowsy prince that some gods will soon awaken. The storm pushes francus headlong "dans les erreurs de crete", the isle of the antiquity's great myths, an enclosed space where the antagonistic forces of order and disorder, soon embodied by the trojan prince and phovere the tyrant, oppose each other. The hero is put to a second test when, loved by two princesses, he has to reject one and woo the other. In the last book, "des plus beaux" according to amadis jamyn, magic takes over after love, the history lesson after eschatology. This extensive royal catalogue is rife with political and aesthetic meanings. Throughout the four cantos, the voices of homer, apollonios, virgil and ovid, though subdued, meet and ring into the reader's ears. We can also hear ronsard himself as he takes up many previously treated themes and motifs to offer here a new if not last variation. His practice of the heroic poem, free from theoretical rules, favours invention and varietas, thus making of la franciade a kind of "roman". Even uncompleted, the vendomois's bold undertaking was not to be left unnoticed : we keep track of its contemporary reception till 1578, as well as of its painstaking integration into the edifice of the oeuvres

La Franciade, Les Lusiades et La Jérusalem Délivrée présentent des éléments qui relèvent de l'intertexte médiéval, si nous analysons les ‘motifs' des chansons de geste, les personnages et leurs discours et les excursus. Les motifs communs sont les assemblées, le combat, le déguisement, les rêves, l'île, la forêt et le locus amoenus. Dans les épisodes secondaires, il y a, entre autres, les motifs de l'enlèvement/emprisonnement, de la libération des prisonniers, de la fuite des héros persécutés, de la poursuite et de la victime innocente. Les excursus, les prières et les discours emploient quelques topoï du Moyen-Age latin : la modestie affectée, la noblesse d'âme, le monde renversé et l'éloge du souverain. Les discours amoureux révèlent l'influence de la fin'amor et de la rhétorique amoureuse ovidienne ; nous trouvons encore des vestiges du plahn et de la reverdie. Armide est l'orientale séductrice des gestes tardives ; Herminie, la sarrasine amoureuse d'un chrétien ; Argant, le Cornumaran tassien. Les "hypotextes" médiévaux sont La Conquête de Jérusalem et la chronique de Guillaume de Tyr (le Tasse), le Cligès et le roman d'Eneas (Ronsard) et le récit chevaleresque bourguignon, dans les "Douze d'Angleterre" (Camões)
The Franciade, the Lusíadas and the Jerusalem Delivered contain medieval intertextual elements. This influence becomes evident if we conduct a comparative analysis of the narrative and descriptive "motifs" from the chansons de geste, to the characters, their speeches, and the excursus. The common "motifs" are the assemblies, the combat, cross-dressing, the dreams, the island, the forest, and the locus amoenus. The secondary episodes feature kidnapping/prison, liberation of the prisoners, flight of the persecuted heroes, the pursuit and the innocent victim. The excursus, the prayers, and the speeches employ several traditional topoi of the Latin Middle Ages: false modesty, nobility of soul, an upside down world and praise for the sovereign. The love speeches reveal the influence of the fin'amor and of Ovidian love rhetoric, and vestiges of plahn and reverdie are still found. Armida is again the oriental seductress of late chansons de geste, as Herminia is the Saracen in love with a Christian, and Argante the Tassian Cornumaran. Some of the most important medieval "hypertexts" are La Conquête de Jérusalem, the chronicle of William of Tyre (Tasso), the Cligès and the romance of Eneas (Ronsard), and the chivalrous narrative of Bourgogne, in The Twelve of England (Camões)

Abstract:
Research of intercultural communication and management phenomena has been rising since 1950s. At that time the researchers acknowledged the importance of the role of culture in international relations. Purpose of this diploma thesis is to unhide culturally influenced perception and behavior of French in application to business. Basic characteristics of French culture were identified based on study of researches of recognized researchers in this field i.e. Geert Hofstede and Fons Trompenaars. Further characteristics of the culture were examined in the sample of 12 interviewees using quantitative research methods. They were willing to dedicate their time and share personal working experience in relation with French whether in France or in direct working relation in Czechia. Barriers of communication between both cultures were confirmed by the research as existing and therefor the study of cultural differences was justified. The results of the research are presented in form of recommendations for Czechs and sum up the established phenomena.

This thesis is focused on French innovation system and its outputs. The aim is to analyze innovation performance of France, as well as its innovation policy and to find out the meaning of the innovation system for French economy and its competitiveness. The thesis also includes a case study of a shareholder and presents his perspective. The first chapter explains basic definitions and innovation related terms and reviews innovation associated theories. The second chapter examines the French innovation system evolution and its performance based on statistical data. Moreover, the French innovation business conditions and an innovation policy will be discussed. Following the analysis of the French innovation system, the last chapter evaluates whether the target of reinforcing innovation capacity is met. At the same time, the third section presents a player of the system, Raise company, and its position within this innovation system.

The purpose of my thesis is to explain the issue of the welfare state's crisis. To describe its current situation and impacts in modern world of capitalism. I have chosen France as a case study. Social disorders are common and becoming stronger and the sustainability of the social state causes considerable difficulties. In the first part of my thesis I describe the development of the modern welfare state, its basic principals and individual theoretical approaches criticizing the concept. In the second part I illustrate characteristic features of French welfare state: interests groups, primary values of the society and its specifics, situation on labor market, entrepreneurial environment and political progress. The thesis shows that France makes efforts to reform its welfare state. However, suggested solutions are only partial and even deepen social problems in France.

The diploma thesis focuses on the reform of the bank sector of France passed by the legislators in 2013. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part focuses on the overall characteristics of the French economy and on the macroeconomic development of the country since 2008. The second part describes the bank system of France and contains stress tests performed at selected bank institutions. The final part focuses on the actual reform of the bank system and portrays some concrete measures taken. The thesis also contains a brief comparison of the bank reform made in 2009 in Spain and the reform that is currently taking place in France.

In poetic responses to the French civil wars, the wounded political body of France is aligned with This chapter calls attention to the proverbs that punctuate Ronsard’s unfinished epic poem La Franciade. It proposes that, as literary forms, the proverbs share the massively distributed, viscous and non-local qualities of Timothy Morton’s hyperobjects. In Ronsard’s 1572 epic the significance of the aftermath of the Trojan war turns out to have extended far beyond Virgil’s Aeneid and the foundation of Rome, to the foundation of Paris and a yet-to-be-realized early modern French empire. La Franciade’s proverbs challenge their readers to perceive and respond to these vastly expanded relations, even as they progress through apparently local narrative time., On this basis, they might also equip their readers to engage with the dissonant scales of ongoing global ecological crisis.

The “invisible fortress”: the Chappe optical telegraph in the Napoleonic FranceEven in the defensive and fortifying processes, two aspects can be found: the material component and the immaterial one. If all the constructive, material and structural procedures are the first, for example, all that concerns remote communications (maximum optics) belongs to the second, an indispensable tool to complete an optimal strategy for offensive and/or defensive operations. Remote optical transmissions are closely connected to the management of defensive systems: this is also what happens with the optical telegraph of Claude Chappe, conceived during the French Revolution and adopted by Napoleon for the potential inherent in the strategic and territorial logic, as for the organization, structuring and sending of encrypted messages (which since the sixteenth century had also seen the interest of Leon Battista Alberti. The densest part of the network spreads to France, from Paris to the borders of the nation. In Europe, you will see achievements in Spain, up to Russia. The Lyon-Paris-Venice line also led to the construction of a Lombard-Piedmontese section. The present contribution stems from a conspicuous research, founded on the twenty-year collaboration of Marotta with the FNARH (Fédération Nationale des Associations de Recherche Historique sur la Poste et les Télécommunications). The system included the installation in high positions (hills, towers or bell towers) of a mechanical device, which could be reached at a distance of kilometers. On top of a fixed pole of about 5 m, the apparatus consisted of a central axis (ordinateur) at the ends of which two mobile arms (indicateurs) were fixed which allowed (in the variation of the reciprocal positions and inclinations) to realize multiple signals, at the base of an entire encrypted visual alphabet, arrived in 1841 up to 61000 messages. Multiple types of models made. The contribution will return the chronological developments of the system, in time and space of territories involved, with the relative comparisons of types, models and languages, also through 3D modeling.

Abstract:
En los escritos de algunos arquitectos japoneses contemporáneos como Toyo Ito, Kazuyo Sejima o Ryue Nishizawa es relativamente frecuente encontrar términos empleados por autores posestructuralistas franceses sin que se profundice en el vínculo intelectual que relaciona ambas prácticas aparentemente tan separadas disciplinaria y geográficamente. El texto pretende ahondar en algunos de los hechos que explicitan esta relación y en su importancia. Para ello, la investigación se centra inicialmente en la figura de Koji Taki, quien junto a los fotógrafos Daido Moriyama, Yutaka Takanashi y el escritor Takahiko Okada fundaron la revista Provoke, haciendo trascender el papel documental que hasta entonces se le había otorgado a la fotografía, transformándola en un vehículo que permitiera comunicar con más efectividad las inquietudes políticas y sociales que se respiraban en Tokio en los años sesenta y convertirlas en desencadenantes del hecho creativo. Seguidamente, el texto explica los principales rasgos del canon are-bure-boke, empleado por los integrantes del citado grupo. A continuación, se explicitan datos que sitúan a algunos de los fotógrafos de Provoke en el medio parisino. Lo cual permite entender que en la formulación del citado canon se encontraran principios teóricos que desde el principio se constituyeron como intereses compartidos con la corriente de pensamiento francés que se ha mencionado anteriormente. La posterior relación de Taki con Ito, como fotógrafo de sus obras y como profesor de Sejima permite cerrar el círculo relacional planteado. El texto concluye señalando como, en este caso particular las fotografías del grupo citado jugaron un papel principal, ya que además de codificar una realidad compleja permitieron un intercambio de ideas entre oriente y occidente capaz de trascender el lenguaje. Este marco conceptual habilita una vía de aproximación alternativa a las realizaciones de los arquitectos, en añadidura a las que tradicionalmente empleadas por la crítica.http://dx.doi.org/10.4995/ANIAV.2017.4827

Desde una perspectiva comparatista arquitectura-literatura-pintura y Francia-Inglaterra, hemos abordado la imagen del agua en el «jardín inglés», de moda en el siglo XVIII en la literatura libertina y sentimental, y la pintura llamada «galante» y «pre-romántica» francesas (La Petite Maison de Jean-François Bastide, La Nouvelle Héloïse, de Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Les Liaisons dangereuses de Choderlos de Laclos, Point de Lendemain de Vivant Denon; lienzos y dibujos de Watteau, Boucher, Fragonard, Hubert Robert), repertoriando sus representaciones más emblemáticas, a partir de los tratados arquitectónicos sobre jardines de la época, y su trasposición ficcional e imaginaria en las obras de los escritores y pintores anteriormente indicados. Dicha trasposición se presenta en oposición al agua dentro del jardín «a la francesa», inmóvil, estanca, dominada por la mano del hombre, encerrada en estanques, lagos artificiales perfectamente simétricos y artificialmente armónicos, y fuentes-construcción arquitectónica. En efecto, en el jardín inglés, el agua se representa bajo todas sus formas naturales, libre, fluyente, brava, viva, naciente, desembocando, fuera de todo encierro arquitectónico, al menos en apariencia. Ello nos lleva a la conclusión de que el elemento acuático, si bien cohabita con los otros tres elementos esenciales que en la visión clásica componen el universo, adquiere una importancia primordial en el panorama paisajístico europeo, inglés pero también francés por influencia británica, y su representación imaginaria, y ello de manera paradójica en una época donde triunfa la razón en el pensamiento, pero donde fluye de manera libre un imaginario fresco y cambiante. Se expondrán planos de los jardines ingleses en Francia más representativos de la época y realizados por los arquitectos más notables, así como las obras de los pintores citados anteriormente donde aparecen representaciones de jardines ingleses, que se presentarán en contraste a jardines franceses que coexistieron en el siglo de las Luces con los estudiados.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.4995/XXVColloqueAFUE.2016.2619

La unité d’habitation de Briey-en-Forêt de Le Corbusier aparece como un paquebote de hormigón varado en el corazón de un bosque de una pequeña población del noreste de Francia. Precisamente su ubicación será origen de conflictos políticos a lo largo de sus primeros 30 años de vida, estando al borde de la demolición, tras un período de cierre. De las 4 unités que construye Le Corbusier en Francia es la menos divulgada, quizás por carecer de los servicios comunitarios que tanto éxito le habían conferido al proyecto de Marsella. Estos servicios, que se iban a implantar a nivel de calle en distintos edificios, finalmente no se desarrollarán. Por lo tanto, esta unité sólo alojará en su interior viviendas, las cuales se van a analizar pormenorizadamente. El hormigón será el material protagonista, si bien con unos acabados distintos a los vistos en los proyectos anteriores de Marsella y Nantes-Rezé. En Briey se emplearán nuevas***The Unité d’Habitation of Briey-en-For.t by Le Corbusier appears as a concrete steamboat stranded in the heart of a forest in a small town of northeastern France. Precisely its location will be the source of political conflicts throughout its first 30 years of life, being on the verge of demolition after a period of closure.Among the 4 Unités built by Le Corbusier in France, this is the least publicized, perhaps because it lacked the community services so successful in the Marseille project. La locura del rey Charles VI; el reino de Francia prometido al rey de Inglaterra por medio del tratado de Troyes; la trágica muerte en la hoguera de Juana de Arco; la aparición del personaje de la muerte en el arte… Varios hechos que nos muestran hasta qué punto los siglos XIV y XV forman parte de una época crucial y problemática. Época en la que no era nada fácil conservar un estatus social, generalmente alcanzado gracias a las ayudas de los príncipes y a los enormes gastos en la construcción de imponentes edificios que aseguraban la grandeza de estos personajes. Jean de Montagu fue más allá de las guerras externas e internas y luchó para lograr sus objetivos, aunque esto le costó la vida. Al sur de Paris edificó su señorío en el que incluyó la iglesia parroquial, un convento y su magnífico castillo.

Abstract:
El propósito del trabajo es dar a conocer la existencia de este campo denominado de internamiento en el Béarn, desde los años 1939 a 1945. En concreto en la población de Gurs, un pequeño pueblo, en el Pirineo Atlántico francés. Y del Memorial obra de Dani Karavan. Tras la derrota militar del ejército republicano se produce un exilio masivo - se cifra en medio millón de personas tras la caída de Barcelona el 26 de enero de 1939-, del ejército y población de la IIª República. El gobierno francés crea esta suerte de campos de internamiento. El de Gurs fue el más grande y encerró a los que consideraban indeseables: republicanos procedentes de España, brigadistas internacionales, aviadores republicanos. Refugiados de la Europa Central y sin papeles, comunistas y resistentes franceses, gitanos y judíos extranjeros. En esta landa inhóspita permanecieron encerrados 60.550 hombres, mujeres y niños. Muchos descansan en los dos cementerios adjuntos al antiguo campo (en uno los republicanos, brigadistas, otros presos y el otro es el cementerio judío). Decidí realizar esta investigación en el terreno y hablando con supervivientes del campo, residentes en pueblos cercanos, para que los jóvenes europeos puedan tener conocimiento de que la Segunda Guerra Mundial comenzó en 1936, aunque no aparezca en ningún libro de historia. El gobierno francés tras años de intentar hacer desaparecer cualquier vestigio del mismo y ante la presión de los ciudadanos del Béarn, de la “Amicale du camp de Gurs”, asociaciones judías y otras muchas organizaciones y personalidades, paralizaron la destrucción completa de los restos del antiguo campo y encargaron al artista israelí Dani Karavan - uno de los artistas de “Land Art” vivos más reconocidos -, la construcción de este Memorial (existen tres en toda Francia), se inaugura el 14 de octubre de 1994. Al estar realizando la tesis sobre la obra y persona de Dani Karavan, acudí - en octubre de 2011- , al igual que a otros países y lugares donde tiene emplazadas obras ( Alemania, España, Francia, Italia, Israel,..), para realizar fotografías, filmaciones, dibujos, apuntes, obtener información de los ayuntamientos e ir recabando información para la tesis. Descubrí el lugar y recordé las palabras del artista: “Cuando trabajo en un nuevo emplazamiento trato con aspectos visibles e invisibles, con materiales sensibles, con memorias y con mi propio estado de conciencia y conocimiento histórico” . Tal fue el impacto, que pasé unos días consternado y más conforme oía relatos de supervivientes y leía sobre el campo y el trabajo de Dani Karavan, ante el ofrecimiento de realizar la obra y descubrir la realidad de lo sucedido. En enero acudí al “atelier” de Dani en París (ahora reside en Tel Aviv, pero venía a Europa unos días por compromisos ), hablé con el maestro el día 21/01/2017 y realicé unas fotografías tipo retrato, tras la entrevista. Detrás de él , en la pared, había unos fotos de este “Memorial National de Gurs".http://dx.doi.org/10.4995/ANIAV.2017.5879
