Dance, and in particular ballet, is characterized by beautiful body shapes and lines, much of which are due to flexibility. Without adequate flexibility, dancers are unlikely to raise themselves to professional standards. However, with such importance placed on this fitness-related parameter, there is a surprising lack of published data on dancers that examines flexibility in relation to injury risk and muscular performance. The following review summarizes the main findings from the dance, sports, and medical literature.

Background: Multicomponent training has considerable adherence among older populations, but there is a lack of literature on the benefits of this training on older people’s posture. Literature also lacks stretching protocols that work the body in an integrated/unified way and respect the principle of individuality in exercise training. We evaluated the effect of a multicomponent training protocol combined or not with flexibility training in improving the posture and quality of movement in physically inactive older women, according to a score lower than 9.11 in the Modified Baecke Questionnaire

Supply chain (SC) resilience and flexibility are important research topics receiving growing attention. However, the academic literature needs empirical studies on SC resilience capable of investigating the inter-organizational components of flexibility along different tiers. Therefore, this paper analyzes the main lack of flexibilities in three Brazilian automotive SCs that limit their resilience and therefore their capacity to better support and meet the demand changes in the marketplace. A multi-tier case study approach is adopted. Research findings identify lack of flexibilities in differe

Background: Musculoskeletal (MS) disorders in poultry workers range from mild ailments to severe pain and illness; caused by lack of flexibility. Pilates exercises have positive effects on physical condition. Objective: Apply a Pilates-based exercise program to improve muscle flexibility in poultry workers. Methods: A study was developed in 29 workers who met the inclusion criteria. The intensity of pain was assessed with the visual analog scale and the level of flexibility with the Flexitest, to determine the needs of the workers and design the program based on Pilates. Today, the development of flexibility in preschool children is one of the most pressing issues. Physical exercises currently used in practice often have only an indirect impact on this physical quality and do not fully ensure the adequate development of flexibility. As a result, there is a lack of effective and optimal approaches aimed at the comprehensive development of flexibility in children. This leads to a new challenge for educators and specialists: the need to find effective methods and tools that allow children to master physical movements quickly and improve their overall physical rea

Regular vision therapy based on a detailed training concept with training under optometric supervision and home exercises was performed over a period of twelve weeks. The baseline examination included history as well as analysis of the visual system with optometric function tests, refraction, and integrative analysis. The training progress was controlled biweekly. Resuscitation lacks a place in the hospital to call its own. Specialised intensive care units, though excellent at providing longitudinal critical care, often lack the flexibility to adapt to fluctuating critical care needs. We offer the resuscitative care unit as a potential solution to ensure that patients receive appropriate care during the most critical hours of their illnesses. These units offer an infrastructure for resuscitation and can meet the changing needs of their institutions.

Global electricity companies have embarked on a transition to digital microprocessor devices. Digitalization penetrates every aspect of power industry, whether it is power generation, transmission or distribution. Being the most widespread, the distribution electrical networks are nevertheless the least digitalized. Some issues about them are still insufficiently studied. These are the collection of necessary information, adaptation methods, and the effect of the unrecognizability of some short circuits. This can be explained by improper placement of devices, which causes lack of data, which,
