In this article we consider the method of contrastive analysis of башня (tower in Russian) lexeme, where the Russian language will be the source language, and the Czech and English languages will be the languages of comparison. In the study we will describe the comparison of the data of etymological dictionaries in three languages. The aim of this comparative analysis is discovering similarities and differences in the sub-systems of three languages. The central concept of contrastive linguistics is the notion of interlingual correspondences – units of different languages having similarities in c

The paper in question deals with the nominative units, their status in the English discourse. Attention is being focused upon the paradigm of lexemes a few / little, many / much. Special attention is being paid to proverbs with the above units. The proverbs in question are mostly one-sentence, two-block (theme, rheme), with one topic, devoid of fable and title. The evaluative semes are actualized by both lexemes (good, bad), seemingly chaotic. The basic lexemes are bifunctional; they have both nominative and evaluative functions. The author argues that dialect grammar, like the grammar of the literary standard, should have a paradigmology as its component describing the system of parts of speech, since it is in the paradigm that the objects observed in speech – word forms – are generalised. Just as a lexicologist models a lexeme from these observed word forms, a grammarian generalises them in a morphological paradigm (word-changing, formative, word-forming) and then, taking into account the connection between grammar and lexicon, models the system of parts of speech. Revival of interest in the linguistic-cognitive interpretation of the deep level of language, as a means of facilitating the computerization of the semantic continuum of derived words, is driven by the schemati- zation of both implicit and explicit data concerning these words. The mental interpretation of word-forma- tive semantics, framed by the word-formative nest as a structured framework of knowledge, underscores the significance of this scientific inquiry. Lacunarity in linguistics refers to the absence of equivalent linguistic forms across languages, specifically in terms of words, grammatical structures, or cultural expressions. The term lacuna—meaning a gap or missing part, describes instances where one language lacks a direct counterpart for a concept found in another. This lexical, grammatical, or cultural gap results in significant translation challenges, as translators must creatively navigate these voids to convey meaning accurately and appropriately. More precisely, this study shows that native forest has more porous soil with a more uniform spatial distribution of pores, while sugarcane soil has lower porosity and a more heterogeneous pore distribution. Mainstream twentieth-century linguistics, a segregational approach, cannot explain the most obvious characteristics of language. The reasons for this are investigated. It is concluded that linguistics suffers from an incoherent conceptual framework which is the result of influences from three major sources: 1. The desire to establish linguistics as a proper science which led to the acceptance of a mechanistic and positivistic view of science and a pre-quantum conception of matter. 2. The language myth: there are many notions about language and related issues which we have inherited from our an
