Pólya and Schur completely characterized all real-rootedness preserving linear operators acting on the standard monomial basis in their famous work from 1914. The corresponding eigenvalues are from then on known as multiplier sequences. In 2009 Borcea and Br\"and\'en gave a complete characterization for general linear operators preserving real-rootedness (and stability) via the symbol. This paper concentrates on the description of fractional order LTI SISO systems using generalized Laguerre functions. There are properties of generalized Laguerre functions described in the paper, and an orthogonal base of these functions is shown. Next the concept of fractional derivatives is explained. The last part of this paper deals with the representation of fractional order LTI SISO systems using generalized Laguerre functions. Several examples were solved to demonstrate the benefits of using these functions for the representation of LTI SISO systems.

In der vorliegenden Dissertation werden endlichdimensionale Räume multivariater Polynome in N Variablen mit der Laguerre-, Hermite- bzw. Legendrenorm versehen. Dabei sei der Höchstgrad der Polynome oder die Summe der Grade der Variablen durch eine natürliche Zahl n nach oben beschränkt. Wir betrachten auf diesen Räumen den Laplaceoperator und zwei weitere partielle Differentialoperatoren und interessieren uns für das Verhalten der von den Polynomnormen induzierten Operatornormen dieser Operatoren, wenn n gegen unendlich strebt.
