Abstract:
Estudiamos la riqueza y composición de especies vegetales en tres afloramientos rocosos (lajas) en Lomerío, Santa Cruz, Bolivia, dentro de un bosque seco tropical. Determinamos la variación de la vegetación desde el centro hacia el borde de las lajas, además que caracterizamos algunas especies propias de este hábitat. La riqueza de especies varía entre lajas, pero, en forma conjunta esta riqueza puede ser mayor a otros tipos de bosque aledaños a las lajas. La riqueza de especies fue mayor en el borde que en el centro de las lajas. En el borde de las lajas, la riqueza de especies varia según la distancia al centro de las lajas; la mayor riqueza se encontró en los primeros 10 m del borde. En el centro de las lajas Deuterocohnia meziana Kuntze ex Mez fue la especie más dominante, mientras que las especies más abundantes fueron D. meziana y Monvillea kroenleinii R. Kiesling. En el borde de las lajas Anthurium plowmanii Croat, Pseudananas sagenarius (Arruda) Camargo, Urera baccifera L., Casearia gossypiosperma Briq., Aspidosperma rigidum Rusby y Cereus tacuaralensis Cárdenas fueron las especies más abundantes. De acuerdo a las clases diamétricas, se puede considerar que existe regeneración natural para las principales especies arbóreas. Las lajas son hábitats muy importantes que deben considerarse dentro del manejo forestal de bosques naturales adyacentes, puesto que constituyen lugares de alta diversidad y endemismo de plantas y animales y que son refugios y fuentes de alimentación de muchas especies de animales.

Abstract:
Pilón Lajas Biosphere Reserve and Communal Lands (Pilón Lajas) ranges from 300 m to 1,400 m altitude in the departments of Beni and La Paz, Bolivia. It is located in the Bolivian and Peruvian lower yungas Endemic Bird Area (054) and within one of the regions of highest conservation priority in the Neotropics. Pilón Lajas includes primary evergreen tropical lowland forest, foothill forest, and lower montane forest. Vegetation heterogeneity forms the basis for the high species richness of the area. A population of approximately 600 Chiman, Moseten and Tacana indigenous people live within the reserve. Little has been published regarding the avifauna of Pilón Lajas. Here we present the results of visual observations and tape recordings of 22 ornithological surveys, recording 502 bird species. Serranía Pilón is the most intensively studied and species-rich mountain range with 332 species, 48 of which have been recorded only in this area within Pilón Lajas. We present 26 new departmental records and evidence of breeding for 42 species. The reserve protects three globally Vulnerable and three globally Near Threatened species, four species of High Conservation Priority and 32 of Medium Conservation Priority. Together with Madidi National Park and the adjacent Bahuaja Sonene National Park in south-eastern Peru, Pilón Lajas forms a unique protected area system of more than 3.5 million ha and plays an important role in the establishment of biological corridors along the eastern Andean slope in Bolivia.

El presente estudio de caso comprende el trabajo realizado por medio del Proyecto Desplazados Ambientales: nuevos procesos de exclusión en Costa Rica, ejecutado por el Instituto de Estudios Sociales en Población (IDESPO) de la Universidad Nacional. Describe el desplazamiento ambiental experimentado por la Comunidad de Calle Lajas, debido a un deslizamiento ocurrido el 3 de noviembre del 2010 que trajo como consecuencia pérdidas humanas y materiales, además la reubicación de la comunidad en la actual Lajas Compartir. La situación vivida por la comunidad permite realizar un censo a la población reubicada y entrevistas a actores involucrados; evidenciando con ambas técnicas los retos y aprendizajes en la gestión del riesgo y la atención a las poblaciones que viven el desplazamiento ambiental.

Abstract:
Studies were conducted in the 1950s to evaluate the degree and spatial extent of soil salinity and sodicity in the Lajas Valley in southwestern Puerto Rico. Problem areas were identified and most of these were remediated with the establishment of irrigation and drainage infrastructure, resulting in a four-fold increase in agricultural production over a 10-year period. The area is now an important agricultural region (known as the Lajas Valley Agricultural Reserve). But soil salinity and sodicity are important concerns among farmers. In this paper we used published data and re-created the spatial distribution of soil salinity and sodicity using geostatistical analysis with Geographic Information Systems (GIS). An Ordinary Kriging method was applied to map the spatial distribution of soil salinity and to classify soils in four classes: (i) Normal, (ii) Saline, (iii) Saline-Sodic, and (iv) Sodic. The original hand-drawn maps were digitized using the Georeferencing Tool in ArcGIS, guided by a recent aerial photo of the Lajas Valley. Salinity and sodicity isopleths were created using Surface Generation to map the spatial distribution and to compare the newly created data to the original maps. The relative error in aerial estimate between the old and new maps for Normal, Saline, Saline-Sodic, and Sodic surface soils was between 1 and 5 percent. The new maps developed with geostatistical analysis can predict soil problem areas with a 94% coincidence compared with the hand-drawn maps. The highest proportion of soils classified as Normal was found in the upper soil layers and the proportion of soils affected by salt and sodium increased with depth. The combination of geostatistical analysis and GIS is a cost-effective and trustworthy method for analyzing similar datasets that would otherwise be costly and involve lengthy time commitments.

ABSTRACT In September 1998, during Hurricane Georges, 5,000–10,000 gallons of No. 6 fuel oil were released from a refinery, oiling freshwater marshes along Lajas Creek near Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Aggressive cleanup actions were taken to protect downstream areas including placement of fill material to access the marsh, limited mechanical scraping and excavation of vegetation and sediments, cutting of oiled vegetation, and dragging of sorbents across the marsh by hand. It was thought at the time that oil would not penetrate the marsh sediments and that the vegetation would recover within 3 months. During irregular site visits from October 1998 through July 2000, the authors checked for the presence/absence of subsurface oiling and made simple field observations of vegetation establishment. Fresh black oil was found in creek levee sediments down to the water table, as deep as 60 cm. The oil penetrated the sediments through root channels, animal burrows, and perhaps desiccation cracks in the clay soils. In wetter, nonlevee sediments, oil was mixed into the substrate, possibly by foot depressions, to 15 cm below the surface. A buried layer of fresh oil also was found under fill material. Penetration of oil into marsh sediments likely was related to the type of marsh and geomorphic features present at the site. In January 1999, revegetation from seed was underway in some areas, although the visual appearance of plant cover and height was less than that observed in nonoiled areas and several large areas lacked vegetation. By July 2000, the vegetation appeared recovered in terms of visual appearance. Though plant recovery probably took more than twice as long as predicted, vegetation recovery time was relatively normal, perhaps even rapid, compared to temperate zone marshes.

Foi instalado um teste combinado de procedências e progênies de liquidambar (Liquidambar styraciflua L.) em Quedas do Iguaçu, no sudoeste do Paraná, para verificar a produtividade de madeira e a variabilidade genética entre e dentro de procedências. O delineamento usado foi em blocos de famílias compactos, no espaçamento de 3 m x 3 m, com as progênies dispostas em parcelas lineares de cinco plantas. Aos 11 anos de idade, a produtividade média das procedências de maior crescimento foi maior que 40 m³/ha.ano. As procedências de maior crescimento foram da América Central (Guatemala, Honduras e Nicarágua), originárias de latitudes inferiores a 15º N. Nas procedências Gomez Farias, Las Lajas, Los Alpes e Monte Bello foram detectadas variações significativas entre suas progênies. Porém, somente as seleções entre as progênies oriundas de Los Alpes e Las Lajas proporcionariam oportunidades de melhoramento genético, tendo em vista as suas altas médias de produtividade. Não foram detectadas variações significativas em volume entre as progênies das procedências Tactic e Yucul. Porém, será oportuno incluí-las na população para melhoramento, dadas a elevada produtividade volumétrica e a oportunidade de se ampliar a base genética para seleções posteriores com base em outros caracteres, como a qualidade do fuste e da madeira.

Muchas especies de briófitas tropicales crecen en habitats periódicamente inundados como lechos del río, pantanos y cascadas, pero se presentan pocos briófitas sumergidas permanentamente y están más que todo en lagunas de alta montaña. Su identificación podría ser dificil por la modificación de rasgos inducidos por el medio acuático. Aquí se trata de una población sumergida del género Herbertus de las hepáticas de una laguna glaciar a 4120 m en la Sierra Nevada del Cocuy, Colombia. Las plantas acuáticas caracterizadas por el porte enano y los apices obtusos de las hojas. Se ha identificado como H. oblongifolius, un taxon raro descrito de Brazil y recientemente, basado en la morfología, ubicada como sinónima de la especie variable, H. sendtneri, de distribución amplia. Análisis molecular ha confirmado que las plantas acuáticas pertenecen a H. sendtneri. La semejanza de las plantas acuáticas con las ramitas de H. sendtneri parece de sugerir un fenótipo juveníl. Las plantas acuáticas probablemente tienen su origen en una población en las rocas y lajas cercanas y han llegado a la laguna a través de ramitas vegetativas caedizas y así traidas a la laguna por el viento y el agua, o plantas enteras entraron a la laguna con lluvias fuertes inundando las lajas. © 2018. Abstract:
In order to better understand the relationship of tidally dominated depositional environments and their palynological assemblages, the Middle Jurassic sediments of the Lajas Formation, Neuquén Basin were examined. The ambition was to present models and trends which can be used for studies of other such deposits. In order to integrate the palynoassemblages with the environment of deposition, additional granulometric data and nutrient data from XRF analysis were used in combination with the palynology. A new method using correspondence analysis was used for understanding the palaeoecology and floral dynamics. An updated, dynamic model for the Middle Jurassic floral palaeoecology of the Neuquén Basin has been presented and the drivers of floral succession are interpreted as disturbance tolerance and substrate water content. Taphonomic expressions of seral groupings show that later seral stage community palynomorphs are preferentially deposited within or close to distributary systems, whereas earlier seral stage palynomorphs are preferentially deposited in environments of greater accommodation space, such as bayfills. Taphonomic signatures, using palaeoecological groupings provide trends in low (4th/5th) order cycles and lateral variations relating to tidal channels and surrounding bayfill mudstones. A model for 4th/5th order boundaries is also presented using new interpretations of the distribution of pinaceous pollen and microforaminiferal test linings. Using Canonical Correspondence Ananlysis (CCA), a model is presented of depositional environments incorporating palynological data and granulometric proxies for grain size and grain sorting. The relationship between sediment processes in a tidal flat dominated palaeoenvironment and the hydrodynamic properties of some palynomorphs is investigated and presented. The weathering and nutrient status of the substrates throughout the Lajas Formation is presented using XRF proxy data. The proxies are also used with CCA to create nutrient related floral groupings. When plotted stratigraphically, these show cycles of eutrophication and subsequent weathering of the substrates.

En el presente estudio tiene por objetivo proponer mejoras al proceso de atención de pedidos que se desarrolla en la empresa, presentando como problema la desatención de pedidos hacia sus beneficiarios. Dentro de las causas asociadas se encontró, no cuenta con un procedimiento estandarizado que norme el flujo de proceso de atención de pedidos, inexistencia de formatos de control y desorden en el almacén, desarrollando sus actividades bajo un proceso manual e ineficiente llevando a un exceso de adquisición de bienes y servicios excediendo el gasto de su presupuesto del año 2019, arrastrando una deuda en pago para el año 2020 en S/.55 715,48 como también pérdidas económicas por compras ineficientes que ascienden los S/.199 994. La metodología consistió en realizar un diagnóstico del proceso de atención de pedidos, utilizando herramientas de ingeniería de métodos, permitiendo elaborar una propuesta de mejora que consiste en: Proponer la definición de un procedimiento y la estandarización de un nuevo proceso de atención de pedidos, elaborar un plan de capacitación para el personal, proponer formatos de control administrativo y la distribución y reorganización del almacén. Los resultados demostraron que las mejoras propuestas permitieron reducir el tiempo de ciclo en un 67,19%, la disminución del cuello de botella en 2.68 horas. El análisis de costo beneficio por la implementación de las mejoras requirió una inversión de S/. 24 251,19 que en relación con el ahorro de tiempo en horas/hombres laborables más el sostenimiento resultó un costo beneficio de 3,19 resultando viable el proyecto de mejoramiento.

El esquema corporal es el conocimiento de la representación mental de cada quien tiene de su propio cuerpo en estado estático o en movimiento, El desarrollo depende de la maduración neurológica en relación con sus experiencias que el niño/a tenga. El objetivo de esta investigación fue Proponer un programa con la estrategia Tarea de movimiento para mejorar el aprendizaje del esquema corporal en los niños y niñas de 4 años de la Institución Educativa Inicial N° 369 del distrito de Lajas. El enfoque fue cuantitativo, de tipo Descriptivo Propositivo. En el estudio participaron 23 niños de la sección abejitas, para recopilar datos se aplicó lista de cotejo. Los datos fueron procesados utilizando el programa de Microsoft Excel. Concluyéndose que los niños obtuvieron que el 56.52% de niños se encuentran en nivel medio y el 34.78 % en un nivel bajo, y un pequeño grupo 8.70% se ubica en el nivel de alto, respecto al conocimiento de la variable de estudio, a lo cual se propone un programa con la estrategia tarea de movimiento para la mejora del aprendizaje del esquema corporal, siendo fue validado a través de 3 expertos en la materia.

Es un estudio de tipo correlacional descriptivo y de diseño no experimental de tipo transversal. La población está constituida por 390 alumnos de 5° y 6° de primaria y 4° y 5° de secundaria. La muestra es de 194 alumnos, igual número de padres de familia, 47 docentes y 3 directivos. Utiliza un instrumento validado por El Instituto Peruano de Evaluación, Acreditación y Certificación de la Calidad de la Educación Básica (IPEBA) según Resolución N° 003-2011-SINEACE/P y una encuesta elaborada por Elera (2010). Los resultados obtenidos en la investigación mediante la correlación de Rho de Spearman permiten afirmar que existe relación negativa débil según la percepción de docentes, estudiantes y padres de familia entre la gestión pedagógica y calidad del servicio educativo.

Este trabalho teve como objetivo aprofundar no estúdio da ecologia da formiga cortadeira Atta insularis em uma pastagem de Leucaena leucocephala e Panicum maximum. Para isto, foi verificada a densidade, distribuição espacial e morfologia externa dos ninhos, as plantas hospedeiras, as estratégias de limpeza e forrageio e o efeito dos fatores climáticos e a sazonalidade nestas atividades. O estudo foi desenvolvido em um sistema silvipastoril de uma unidade de produção leiteira do Instituto de Ciência Animal no município San José de las Lajas, La Habana, Cuba. Na área de estudo havia dois tipos de solo: o Latossolo Vermelho Eutroférrico e o Nitossolo Vermelho Eutroférrico. As amostragens foram feitas semanalmente entre os meses de janeiro a novembro de 2007. Para conhecer a distribuição dos ninhos foram utilizados os índices de dispersão variância/média e a lei da potência de Taylor. Os testes não paramétricos de Mann-Whitney e Friedman foram empregados para verificar a influência do solo e das plantas na distribuição dos ninhos. Também foi utilizada a correlação de Spearman e as análises multivariadas de correspondência múltipla, de conglomerados e de discriminante para avaliar o efeito dos fatores climáticos e das variáveis qualitativas nas atividades de Atta insularis. A distribuição espacial dos ninhos foi de tipo agregada com 99 ninhos.ha-1. A maior ocorrência de ninhos (125 ninhos/ha), de plantas de Leucaena leucocephala (679 plantas.ha-1) e de outras plantas lenhosas (22 plantas.ha-1) foi observada no solo Nitossolo Vermelho Eutroférrico. A altura, os diâmetros, o número de olheiros e de trilhas dos montículos, apresentaram, na maioria dos casos, correlações significativas (p<0,01 e p<0,05) positivas, entre si e, negativas, com as variáveis climáticas, sendo a umidade relativa e as precipitações acontecidas antes das amostragens os fatores que mais influenciaram nestas medidas. Assim, o período pouco chuvoso e a realização da atividade de forrageio favoreceram o incremento das dimensões dos montículos. As cortadeiras coletaram 7 espécies de plantas e utilizaram mais (p<0,001) os folíolos de Leucaena leucocephala e os materiais secos de diferentes plantas, em especial de Panicum maximum. A limpeza total não teve diferenças entre os períodos do ano, no entanto, a realocação de solo foi maior (p<0,01) no período chuvoso. A atividade de forrageio teve correlações significativas (p<0,01 e p<0,05) positivas entre quase todas as medidas e negativas com os fatores climáticos. A intensidade de forrageio de Leucaena leucocephala, de seus folíolos e o forrageio total foi mais intenso nos período pouco chuvoso, as variáveis climáticas que mais influenciaram nesta atividade foram a umidade relativa e a temperatura. Conclui-se que os ninhos de Atta insularis tiveram uma distribuição espacial de tipo agregada. O solo Nitossolo Vermelho Eutroférrico teve o maior número de ninhos. A umidade relativa foi o fator climático que mais influiu na morfologia externa e nas atividades de limpeza e forrageio. No período pouco chuvoso, os montículos foram maiores e o forrageio mais intenso no sistema silvipastoril estudado.

Determina la relación que existe entre la evaluación del desempeño docente con la enseñanza-aprendizaje del área de estudios sociales en los estudiantes de Educación General Básica de la Escuela “Ciudad de Loja” del Cantón Las Lajas, Ecuador, Periodo 2014-2015. Desde la perspectiva de una investigación de tipo descriptivo utilizando el diseño correlacional; se llevó a cabo un conjunto de actividades utilizando los conceptos teóricos básicos de la evaluación del desempeño docente y la enseñanza aprendizaje del área de estudios sociales, a través del muestreo no probabilístico se eligió una muestra de 94 estudiantes del 5to año 34, del 6to año 38 y 7mo año 22 estudiantes de Educación General Básica, 02 directivos, 03 docentes del área de ciencias sociales, a quienes se les aplico mediante la técnica de la encuesta a través de un cuestionario y lista de cotejo, para la Variable Dependiente revisión de actas finales. De acuerdo a los resultados, afirma con un 95% de probabilidad que existe relación significativa entre la evaluación del desempeño docente con la enseñanza aprendizaje del área de estudios sociales en los estudiantes de Educación Básica, los datos fueron procesados estadísticamente a través de las medidas de tendencia central y están presentados en gráficos también procesados con el software estadístico SPSS 22. Finalmente, logró determinar cómo el desarrollo curricular, la gestión del aprendizaje, el desarrollo profesional y el compromiso Ético se relacionan con la enseñanza aprendizaje del área de estudios sociales en los estudiantes de Educación Básica “Ciudad de Loja ”; LAS LAJAS-Ecuador, Periodo lectivo 2014-2015.

Apresentam-se as formulações necessárias para a sua automatização. Aborda-se também a questão relativa às deformações nas lajes maciças em concreto necessidade de consideração das dependentes do tempo. Por fim, faz-se um estudo comparativo com o método elástico para dimensionamento de lajes maciças em concreto e com o sistema de lajes treliçadas, através de aplicações em dois pavimentos de lajes, analisando-se os aspectos técnicos e financeiros (custos) dos resultados.
The main purpose of this work is to systematize the building rectangular compact slab calculation, using the yield line theory. The necessary formulation is presented. Deflections of reinforced concrete slabs are also discussed, making evident that cracking and time dependent effects are important parameters to be considered. Finally, a comparison with the elastic method for compact slabs design and with the lattice slab systems is presented, considering two examples of building floors, taking into account technical and financial (expenses) aspects of the results.

Esta pesquisa avalia experimentalmente o comportamento da ligação laje-pilar, localizadas internamente à edificação em um sistema de lajes lisas de concreto armado, de uma recente técnica construtiva de lajes de concreto armado, denominada Bubbledeck. Essa técnica consiste em um método construtivo composto pela adição de esferas plásticas em lajes de concreto armado, uniformemente espaçadas entre duas telas de aço, com uso cada vez mais frequente em países como Holanda, Austrália, Estados Unidos, Canadá, Reino Unido e Dinamarca. Foram analisadas quatro modelos de lajes nesse estudo experimental, três lajes do tipo Bubbledeck e uma laje maciça de referência, todas as lajes possuem dimensões de 2500 x 2500 mm de comprimento, altura nominal com 280 mm, pilar circular com 300 mm de diâmetro e mesma taxa de armadura. Os parâmetros variados foram: método construtivo, utilização ou não de pré-laje; e utilização de armadura de cisalhamento. Os pontos analisados nos resultados experimentais foram: os deslocamentos verticais, deformações na superfície do concreto, deformações na armadura de flexão e cisalhamento, fissuração e o modo de ruptura de cada laje. Os dados experimentais foram comparados com os métodos teóricos estabelecidos em normas de projeto. As normas avaliadas foram: o ACI 318 (2011), o Eurocode 2 (2010) e a NBR 6118 (2014). Uma vez que nenhuma destas normas não tratam desse sistema construtivo de lajes Bubbledeck, foi proposta uma adaptação na determinação da área de concreto a ser considerada na seção do perímetro crítico. Verificou-se que o método construtivo não interferiu de forma considerável na resistência ao cisalhamento na ligação laje-pilar das lajes Bubbledeck e que a armadura de cisalhamento adotada mesmo conferindo maior ductilidade à laje, também não conferiu maior incremento de resistência à punção.
This research experimentally evaluates the behavior of slab-column connection, internally located at the building, in a reinforced concrete flat slabs system, a recent construction technique of reinforced concrete slabs, called Bubbledeck. This technique consists of new constructive method comprises the addition of plastic balls in reinforced concrete slabs, evenly spaced between two steel screens. Its use is increasingly common in countries like the Netherlands, Australia, USA, Canada, UK and Denmark. Four slabs models were analyzed in this experimental study (three Bubbledeck type and a reference solid), all of the slabs have dimensions of 2500 x 2500 mm length, nominal height of 280 mm, centered circular cross section column of 300 mm diameter and the same flexural reinforcement ratio. The varied parameters in Bubbledeck slabs were: construction method, use or not of pre-slab; and use of shear reinforcement. The points analyzed the experimental results were: vertical displacements, strains in the concrete surface deformations in the armor of bending and shear cracking and failure mode of each slab. The experimental data were compared with the theoretical methods established in design codes. The codes were evaluated: ACI 318 (2011), the Eurocode 2 (2010) and the NBR 6118 (2014). Since none of these codes do not address this constructive system Bubbledeck slabs, proposed an adaptation in determining the concrete area to be considered in the critical section perimeter. It was found that the construction method did not affect considerably the shear strength of the slab-column connection of Bubbledeck slabs and shear reinforcement adopted even giving greater ductility to the slab, also did not confer greater resistance to increase the punching.

Ubicada en la ciudad de Alicante, la Casa Dolmen ha sido proyectada en base a una idea clara y rotunda, patente en su formalización volumétrica, su distribución y su materialización, con el objetivo de convertir el espacio en lo verdaderamente trascendente. La casa busca ser percibida como cabaña esencial, compuesta por elementos verticales que soportan una losa horizontal, lo que da lugar a un espacio arquitectónico de una uniformidad absoluta, un “monumento megalítico”, “dolmen” tectónico hecho de “pétreas lajas”. Recuperando y “contemporaneizando” algunos conceptos de la arquitectura clásica, la casa, que es “Templo”, se apoya sobre un pódium, que es “Crepidoma” y elemento de transición entre el terreno natural y el interior de la propia casa. La dualidad que se crea entre el espacio exterior cubierto, generado por una columnata aérea y rítmica en la fachada principal a modo de “loggia”, y el “muro “gordo” trasero, sólido y corpóreo, delimita la secuencia de las estancias principales. Structural passive control technology has been developed rapidly over the past decade, and proven as a feasible and promising way in mitigating the seismic response of a structure. In numerous passive control devices, the added damping and stiffness (ADAS) has been verified as an effective and economical energy-absorbing device to dissipate the seismic energy. Successful applications have also been achieved in Taiwan. A new device named as the longitudinal added damping and stiffness (LADAS) has been developed in this study. The component test shows that the LADAS device can sustain an extremely large number of yielding reversals without any sign of stiffness or strength degradation and has stable energy-dissipating capability. The comparison of analytical and experimental results illustrates that the Wen’s model in an incremental form could successfully predict the hysteretic behavior of LADAS device. Moreover, the earthquake proof efficiency of the LADAS was carried out on a scaled-down three steel frame on a shaking table in Feng Chia University, Taichung, Taiwan. The experiment result demonstrates that a structure with LADASs can significantly reduce the seismic response.

Abstract:
The Río Neuquén field is located thirteen miles north west of Neuquén city, between Neuquén and Río Negro provinces, Argentina. Historically it has been a conventional oil producer, but some years ago it was converted to a tight gas producer targeting deeper reservoirs. The targeted geological formations are Lajas, which is already a known tight gas producer in the Neuquén basin, and the less known overlaying Punta Rosada formation, which is the main objective of the current work. Punta Rosada presents a diverse lithology, including shaly intervals separating multiple stacked reservoirs that grade from fine-grained sandstones to conglomerates. The reservoir pressure can change from the normal hydrostatic gradient to up to 50% of overpressure, there is little evidence of movable water. The key well in this study has a comprehensive set of open hole logs, including NMR and pulsed-neutron spectroscopy data, and it is supported by a full core study over a 597ft section in Punta Rosada. Additionally, data from several offset wells were used, containing sidewall cores and complete sets of electrical logs. This allowed to develop rock-calibrated mineral models, adjusting the clay volume with X-ray diffraction data, porosity and permeability with confined core measurements, and link the logs interpretation to dominant pore throat radius models from MICP Purcell tests at 60,000 psi. Several water saturation models were tested attempting to adjust the irreducible water saturation with NMR and Purcell tests at reservoir conditions. As a result, three hydraulic units were defined and characterized, identifying a strong correlation with lithofacies observed in cores and image logs. A cluster analysis model allowed the propagation of the facies to the rest of the wells (50). Finally, lithofacies were distributed in a full-field 3D model, guided by an elastic seismic inversion. In the main key well, in addition to the open hole logs and core data, a cased hole pulsed neutron log (PNL) was also acquired , which was used to develop algorithms to generate synthetic pseudo open hole logs such as bulk density and resistivity, integrated with the spectroscopy mineralogical information and other PNL data to perform the petrophysical evaluation. This enables the option to evaluate wells in contingency situations where open hole logs are not possible or are too risky, and also in planned situations to replace the open hole data in infill wells, saving considerable drilling rig time to reduce costs during this field development phase. Additionally, the calibrated cased hole model can be used in old wells already drilled and cased in the Punta Rosada formation. This paper explores the integration of different core and log measurements and explains the development of rock-calibrated petrophysical and rock types models for open and cased hole logs addressing the characterization challenges found in tight gas sand reservoirs. The results of this study will be crucial to optimize the development of a new producing horizon in a mature field.
