Abstract:
This article is about a brief history of Panglima La’ōt Aceh and its current position along with Adat La’ōt (customary law) among Acehnese community. It will look at relationship between Adat and presence of Panglima La’ōt (the Commanders of the Sea). To what extent we could say that there is a strong connection between the adat laot and Panglima La’ōt? It is argued that this institution has been established for more than 400 hundred years by the Kingdom of Aceh. It is also said that adat laot is one of the oldest customary law in Aceh. This article consists three sections. After the introduction, it will discuss the history of Panglima La’ōt in Aceh. The next section is about the current position of Panglima La’ōt in Acehnese society. Here, the data will be focussed on the dynamics of fisher and their perpection toward the Panglima La’ōt in different setting of research area. Finally, the examination of the revitalization of Panglima La’ōt as formal institution in, especially the overlapping of the authority of adat institution, will be provided in final section.[Tulisan ini merupakan penjelasan mengenai hubungan Panglima La’ot dengan hukum adat La’ot ditengah masyarakat Aceh dewasa ini yang secara resmi pemerintah daerahnya menegakkan syari’ah Islam. Sebagai salah satu institusi adat yang tertua sejak berdirinya kerajaan Aceh, Panglima La’ot dan adat La’ot mengalami dinamika yang luar biasa. Dengan mengambil studi kasus dibeberapa tempat yang berbeda, penulis menunjukkan bahwa formalisasi kembali institusi ini bukan hanya menjadi cara melestarikan warisan budaya, melainkan juga menjadi aparatus pemerintahan lokal yang mewakili masyarakat nelayan Aceh ditengah dinamika ekonomi politik lokal, regional dan internasional.]

Abstract:
Herneen viljelyvarmuus on kehittynyt viimeisen puolen vuosisadan aikana kenties enemmän kuin minkään muun peltokasvilajimme. Aikoinaan peltoherne kasvoi metrikaupalla maata pitkin ja kukki pitkälle syksyyn. Sitten löydettiin mutantti hernemuoto, jossa lehdykät olivat muuttuneet kärhiksi. Jalostus alkoi kohdistua lehdyköiden osittaiseen korvaamiseen kärhillä ja korvakkeiden koon säätelyyn. Myös varren tyven vahvistaminen on ollut tärkeä jalostuskohde. Ensimmäinen suomalainen puolilehdetön lajike, Hankkijan Tammi, laskettiin kauppaan 1984. Vasta sen jälkeen tulleiden lajikkeiden myötä laonkesto parani. Nykyiset puolilehdettömät hernelajikkeet pysyvät pääsääntöisesti pystyssä. Liian multavassa maassa tai kasvun kannalta erityisen edullisissa kosteusoloissa herne kuitenkin voi lakoutua etenkin, jos palon täyttymisen aikaan tulee runsaita sateita. Silloin tukikasvi voi auttaa herneen pystyssä pysymistä. Peltolohkovalinnan, tukikasvin käytön ja rikkakasvien torjunnan lisäksi pystyssä pysymistä voi varmentaa huolellisen kylvön ja riittävän siemenmäärän avulla. Riittävässä tiheydessä herneet pitivät toisiaan kärhien avulla paremmin pystyssä. Jokioisissa verrattiin eri kevätviljoja herneen tukikasveina kolmena kesänä. Tukiviljoiksi valittiin lajikkeita, joiden laonkesto on hyvä ja kasvuaika mahdollisimman lähellä Hulda –herneen kasvuaikaa. Tukiviljojen kylvötiheys määräytyi sen perusteella, että aiemmissa tutkimuksissa sopivaksi tukikauran osuudeksi siemenseoksen kokonaispainosta oli todettu 7,5 prosenttia. Herne ei mennyt lainkaan lakoon vuonna 2009 rehevästä kasvustaan huolimatta, eikä myöskään seuraavana, hieman heikompikasvuisena kesänä. Vuonna 2011 lakoutuminen pyrittiin varmistamaan sijoittamalla koe alueelle, joka viljelykokemusten mukaan kasvoi yleensä rehevästi eikä kärsinyt helposti kuivuudesta. Multavuudeltaan tämä hiuesaveksi määritelty maa tosin oli vastaavanlaista kuin ensimmäisen kesän koealue eli luokassa ”multava”, humuspitoisuuden ollessa hieman yli 5 %. Hyvän kasvun ja lakoutumisen varmistamiseksi varauduttiin sadetukseenkin. Sateet kesän mittaan kuitenkin auttoivat rehevään kasvuun. Runsaat sateet palkojen täyttymisen aikaan varmistivat lopputuloksen: herne meni kolmen vuoden odotuksen jälkeen lakoon. Kaura tukikasvina esti herneen lakoutumista varsin hyvin. Tavallista korkeammaksi kasvanut herne vei tehon kääpiökauralta; se esti herneen lakoa vain, kun herne ei ollut aivan pisimmillään. Ohra piti hernettä pystyssä pidempään kuin kääpiökaura, vaikka lopulta lako niiden kesken oli samaa luokkaa. Kevätvehnä auttoi hyvin heikosti pystyssä pysymistä. MTT:n pitkäaikaisten herneaineistojen tarkastelu sääaineistojen rinnalla vahvisti oletuksia herneen lakoa aiheuttavista riskitekijöistä. Huomattava lakoriskin lisääntyminen savia kevyemmissä maissa kuvannee osittain lakoherkkyyttä herneen kannalta liian multavissa maissa. Sateet alkukesällä auttavat herneen hyvään kasvuun ja antavat edellytykset runsaaseen palkojen muodostukseen, mikä osaltaan lisää myös lakoutumisen edellytyksiä. Palkojen täyttymisvaiheen sateisuuden lakoa lisäävä riski sai tilastollista vahvistusta. Kesän 2011 tukikasvikoe osoitti, että erittäin lakoalttiissa oloissa kaura on viljoistamme paras herneen lakoutumisen estäjä.

Abstract:
Penelitian ini membahas musik teatrikal bergaya opera dari pertunjukan musik teatrikal Ibu produksi Teater Koma. Teater Koma telah memilih berbagai komunikasi ekpresifnya, di antaranya lakon-lakon asing yang disadur, lakon-lakon Cina, lakon-lakon wayang kreatif, dan lakon-lakon realis ciptaan N. Riantiarno. Setiap produksi lakon-lakon tersebut selalu memakai musik teater yang disesuaikan dengan bentuk dan jenis lakonnya. Musik teater tersebut dapat berupa ilustrasi dan atau pengiring penuh sepanjang pertunjukan berlangsung. Untuk membahas musik teater bergaya opera ini dipilih lakon IBU yang merupakan saduran dari lakon Mother Courage and Her Children karya dramawan Jerman terkenal Bertolt Brecht. Pembahasan meminjam teori sociology of spactacles dari Guy Debord dan teori komunikasi paradigma naratif dari Walter Fisher, serta teori homofili dari Carley H. Dodd. Berdasarkan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pertunjukan Lakon Ibu merupakan teater musikal bergaya opera yang menghadirkan musik teater bersifat kolektif dalam emosi manusia, terutama karakter tokoh. Kontekstualitasnya ketimpangan masyarakat pada masa peperangan, di mana kaum pemodal selalu berada di belakangnya. Lakon IBU juga memiliki dramatik naratif yang menarik bagi penonton, sehingga mampu menciptakan komunikasi yang berdimensi homofili.

Data penelitian ini adalah pembaharuan yang dilakukan Putu Wijayadalam menulis lakon melalui analisis intertekstual terhadap konsep plot, dialog, dan penokohan.Dalam pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka, peneliti menggunakan dua lakon Putu Wijaya,yaitu Bila Malam Bertambah Malam dan Edan sebagai bahan analisis. Dalam penelitian ini sumberdata, data, teori dan metodologi diterapkan untuk mengecek keabsahan data.Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa Putu Wijaya telah melakukan pembaharuan dalam menulis lakon drama,yaitu dari bentuk konvensional menuju bentuk inkonvensional. Pembaharuan yang dilakukan olehPutu Wijaya dalam penulisan lakonnya dapat diidentifikasi yaitu 1) plot/alur lakon konvensionalpada umumnya bersifat linier dan rapat, sedangkan plot/alur lakon inkonvensional beralur acakatau beralur longgar; 2) plot/alur lakon konvensional sangat tergantung pada perkembangan masalahdan konflik, sedangkan pada plot/alur lakon inkonvensional menjadikan masalah hanya munculkemudian menghilang sehingga masalah tidak terselesaikan; 3) dialog lakon konvensionaldiperbaharui dari dialog sebagai sarana pengungkapan karakter tokoh yang bersifat individualmenjadi dialog yang mengekspresikan karakter kelompok; 4) tokoh individu pada lakon konvensionalmengekspresikan karakter individu tertentu, sedangkan pada lakon inkonvensional penokohanmerupakan ekspresi kelompok tertentu; 5) tokoh lakon konvensional memiliki identitas yang jelasdan menunjukkan karakter tertentu, sedangkan pada lakon inkonvensional tokoh hanya diketahuiidentitas sosiologis dan psikologisnya; dan 6) karakter tokoh pada lakon konvensional sangatmempengaruhi keindahan struktur lakon, sedangkan pada lakon inkonvensional karakter tokohtidak dapat berkembang mengikuti plot lakon.Kata-kata kunci: tinjauan intrinsik, lakon drama, konvensional, inkonvensional

<p>Dalam pewayangan Semar merupakan rokoh yang mempunyai pengaruh besar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan konsep pada wanda Semar terhadap lakon-lakon yang Semar lakukan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada wayang kulit purwa gaya Surakarta khususnya Semar. Semar dalam pewayangan memiliki lakon bersama Punakawan maupun lakon sendiri, pada setiap lakon Semar menggunakan wanda berbeda. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur, dimana literatur yang didapat berupa buku, artikel jurnal dan rekaman pertunjukan pada media sosial khususnya tentang Semar yang akan ditelaah untuk mencari konsep antara lakon dan wanda Semar. Rekaman pertunjukan yang digunakan adalah lakon Laire Ismoyo dengan dalang KI Purbo Asmoro. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah menemukan konsep antara lakon dan wanda Semar yang digunakan, dan konsep yang ditemukan yaitu konsep <em>Trep</em> atau kesesuaian. Konsep kesesuaian penggunaan wanda untuk peran tertentu pada lakon pertunjukan wayang tertentu pula, konsep ini disebut dengan <em>trep</em>. Disebut <em>trep</em> apabila peran wayang Semar dalam suatu lakon pewayangan menggunakan wanda yang sesuai dengan fungsi peran tersebut.</p>

ABSTRAKTujuan utama penelitian ini, yaitu menciptakan dan mempergelarkan wayang golek lakon Menak lakon Adam makna Kawedhar sebagai bentuk akulturasi cerita lokal masyarakat Jawa. Cerita kepahlawan Amir Hamzah, paman Nami Muhammad SAW disisipi dengan cerita asal-usul kitab Betal Jemur Adam Makna. Dalam kehidupan nyata, kitab ini oleh orang Jawa digunakan untuk menamai sebuah buku primbon. Target penelitian, yaitu: (1) terciptakannya struktur pertunjukan wayang golek lakon Menak Sarehas; (2) terciptakannya naskah pertunjukan wayang golek lakon Menak Sarehas; (3) tersediakannya vokabuler catur, sabet, dan iringan pertunjukan wayang golek lakon Menak Sarehas yang mudah dimengerti generasi muda; (4) tersajikannya pertunjukan wayang golek lakon Menak Sarehas garap padat secara online di channel youtube); (5) terbit artikel ilmiah pada jurnal nasional terakreditasi; (6) terdokumentasikannya satu bentuk pertunjukan wayang golek lakon Menak Sarehas; dan (7) diperoleh 1 sertifikat HKI. Metode penciptaan dan penyajian meliputi: (1) observasi untuk menentukan struktur pertunjukan; (2) eksplorasi menyusun naskah lakon; (3) menyusun vokabuler gerak, catur, dan iringan; (4) merancang struktur pertunjukan, sabet, catur, dan iringan; (5) penyajian wayang golek lakon Menak Sarehas; dan (6) evaluasi hasil penciptaan. Hasil penelitian berupa naskahwayang golek lakon Adam Makna Kawedhar yang dipergelarkan pada event Hari Wayang Dunia VII ISI Surakarta yang disiarkan melalui ISI TV channel. Abstract:
This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the production and income of Lakor goats. The research used a survey method using interview techniques and field observations. The study was conducted in Letoda Village, Lakor Island District, Southwest Maluku Regency, with the number of respondents selected as many as 45 people (50%) from 90 population of Lakor goat breeders. Primary and secondary data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. The results showed that determining the factors that affect the production of Lakor goats after being analyzed by multiple regression analysis showed that the independent variables, namely length of business, seeds, number of workers, area of ​​cages, and feed together, significantly affected the production of Lakor goats. Meanwhile, for the effect of each independent variable on the production of Lakor goats, it was found that the length of business, seeds, cage area, feed had a significant effect, and labor had no effect on the production of Lakor goats. The income of the Lakor goat breeder per year is IDR 10,963,611. The feasibility of the Lakor goat livestock business has an R/C ratio value of 2.03 and a B/C ratio of 1.03 so that the Lakor goat business is feasible to be cultivated and developed for the welfare of the community.

Abstract:
O lakota é uma língua do tipo head-marking falada no centro dos Estados Unidos, principalmente nos estados de Dakota do Norte e Dakota do Sul. O presente trabalho visa analisar e demonstrar um aspecto da língua ainda pouco explorado: a morfologia da classe de palavras tradicionalmente conhecida como pronome. Há nesta língua evidências de que tal classe é composta de uma raiz verbal precedida por morfemas pessoais, os mesmos usados nos verbos regulares, e seu uso dentro de uma sentença é similar ao da clivagem. Da mesma forma que os pronomes pessoais, os substantivos, os números e os pronomes interrogativos também podem receber os mesmos morfemas em determinados contextos e, assim, exercer função de núcleo do predicado. O modelo teórico adotado para a análise da língua é a Gramatica de Papel e Referência (Van Valin & Lapolla, 1998), um modelo funcionalista que busca compreender a manifestação de estruturas gramaticais levando em consideração seus aspectos semânticos e pragmáticos. Suas principais motivações são como desenvolver um modelo teórico baseando-se em línguas de tipologias diversas, especialmente aquelas de estruturas diferentes das do inglês ou de outras línguas europeias e de que modo a interação entre sintaxe, semântica e pragmática pode ser melhor descrita em sistemas linguísticos diferentes. A metodologia consiste em extrair e analisar as sentenças pertinentes de duas das maiores obras em língua lakota atualmente disponíveis: os livros Dakota Texts (Deloria, 1932) e New Lakota Dictionary (Ullrich, 2008). As sentenças serão analisadas de acordo com sua estrutura morfológica e sintática, bem como pelo uso que é feito das ocorrências. Além disso, será necessário apresentar também o uso das marcas de pessoa nos verbos, em especial aqueles usados na identificação e categorização de entidades, a fim de estabelecer paralelos entre as duas ocorrências.
Lakota is a head-marking language, spoken in the Midwest Region of the United States, mainly in the states of North Dakota and South Dakota. This work aims to analyze and demonstrate one aspect of the language that has been little explored: the morphology of the part of speech traditionally known as independent pronoun. In this language, there is evidence that such part of speech is composed of a verbal root preceded by personal morphemes, the same ones used in regular verbs, and its usage within a sentence is similar to that of the cleft sentence. As well as personal pronouns, nouns, numbers and interrogative pronouns may also have the same morphemes in certain contexts and, then, are able to perform the function of core of the predicate. The theoretical model adopted to analyze the language is Role and Reference Grammar (Van Valin & Lapolla, 1998), a functionalist model that seeks to understand the manifestation of grammatical structures, considering their semantic and pragmatic aspects. Its main motivations are how to develop a theoretical model based on languages of different typologies, especially those whose structures are different from the English ones and other European languages, and how syntax, semantics and pragmatics can best be described in different linguistic systems. The methodology consists of extracting and analyzing relevant sentences from two of the greatest works in Lakota language that are currently available: Dakota Texts (Deloria, 1932) and New Lakota Dictionary (Ullrich, 2008). The sentences will be analyzed according to their morphological and syntactic structures, as well as the usage made of the occurrences. In addition, it is also necessary to present the usage of personal marks in verbs, especially those used in the identification and categorization of entities, in order to draw parallels between the two occurrences.

Abstract:
This thesis uses ethnographic research and interrogation of a number of discourses and tropes to examine the street-side performances of a group of young male kampung-dwellers in a part of urban Yogyakarta I call Kusuman. These young men, who refer to their group as the cah-cah (lads) are located between the socially defined roles of uncircumcised children and married heads of households, and have an ambiguous status in their communities. Among other lads in the same liminal phase they act out a series of personas in an attempt to construct meaningful identities. Their performances are re-iterations or re-interpretations of tropes to which they are exposed. The Javaneseness of wayang, elaborate politeness codes and stratified language, the Indonesianness of Pancasila, mutual help and military parades, and a Javanised mystical version of Islam form a background to their knowledge of self and society. These idioms also offer scope for playing out resistant readings, through reversal and caricature, as do the mystical martial-arts comics they devour and the trickster heroes of their folk mythology. Tourism is a major cultural and economic influence on Kusuman, and their repertoire of tropes is expanded by the performances of the "wild guides", English-speaking opportunists who seek sex, money and to "change their thinking with a western woman" among the many tourists passing through Kusuman.

The discrepancy between American Indian and Caucasian children in academic achievement is well documented. Theorists suggest a connection between perceived locus of control and the level of educational performance. This study first sought to determine if the factor structure of a measure of the perception of lo cu s of control ( Multidimensional Measure of Children's Perceptions of Control) was similar for Caucasian and American Indian (Oglala Lakota) children. Second, the study sought to determine if there were differences between the groups on the MMCPC subtest scores. Finally, the study sought to determine the relationship between locus of control and academic achievement in Oglala Lakota children. The study found the the factor structure of the MMCPC was similar for both groups. There were significant differences between the responses of Oglala Lakota and Caucasian children on the Powerful Others and Unknown Source of Control subtests of the MMCPC. However, there was no significant difference between the groups on the Internal Source of Control subtest. This is contrary to previous research. An inverse relationship was found between unknown locus of control and academic achievement in the Oglala Lakota group.

Abstract:
There are currently no research studies that investigate the relationship between acculturation and leadership values and practices among the Indigenous Tribes on the Northern Plains of the United States. The study was initiated because Native American Elders on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation were concerned that traditional altruistic leadership style was being lost in today's Native American leadership practice. Accordingly, acculturation and servant leadership theories were used to guide the study. A sequential explanatory mixed methods design incorporated the use of quantitative data based on the Servant Leadership Profile (SLP) and the Native American Acculturation Scale. (NAAS). The study included 51 Oglala Sioux tribal leaders, program directors, elected officials and traditional headsmen. The NAAS measured the respondent's orientation towards Native American versus dominant cultural values. The SLP measured the orientation towards the practice of servant leadership. The qualitative component involved interviews with 6 tribal leaders, 2 from each level of acculturation, to increase the understanding of the relationship between cultural orientation and leadership. The levels of acculturation were low, traditional (17.6%), moderate, bicultural (68.6%) and high, assimilated (13.7%). Qualitative themes revealed leadership values similar to servant leadership among all 6 respondents regardless of acculturation level. The bi-cultural participants identified in my study may create innovative ways of defining themselves and society itself for purposes of social change bridging the gap between divisions of traditional and assimilated individuals.

Abstract:
We introduce a novel backbone architecture to improve target-perception ability of feature representation for tracking. Having observed de facto frameworks perform feature matching simply using the backbone outputs for target localization, there is no direct feedback from the matching module to the backbone network, especially the shallow layers. Concretely, only the matching module can directly access the target information, while the representation learning of candidate frame is blind to the reference target. Therefore, the accumulated target-irrelevant interference in shallow stages may degrade the feature quality of deeper layers. In this paper, we approach the problem by conducting multiple branch-wise interactions inside the Siamese-like backbone networks (InBN). The core of InBN is a general interaction modeler (GIM) that injects the target information to different stages of the backbone network, leading to better target-perception of candidate feature representation with negligible computation cost. The proposed GIM module and InBN mechanism are general and applicable to different backbone types including CNN and Transformer for improvements, as evidenced on multiple benchmarks. In particular, the CNN version improves the baseline with 3.2/6.9 absolute gains of SUC on LaSOT/TNL2K. The Transformer version obtains SUC of 65.7/52.0 on LaSOT/TNL2K, which are on par with recent SOTAs.

Jelentősége megmaradhatott a magyar államalapítás korában is, ugyanis a 11. században a folyó partján emelték egyik első ispánsági várunkat, Abaújvárt. A 10‒11. század kutatásában a terület napjainkig szinte ismeretlen, fehér foltnak számított. Az alább bemutatásra kerülő Szalaszend Nagy- és Kishegy nevű régészeti lelőhelyen feltárt honfoglalás kori temető sírjait a feltárt leletek alapján a 10. század középső harmadában áshatták meg.

Az eladósodott, a kortársak által fejlődésképtelennek tartott, jelentős arányban bortermelők és hivatalnokok által lakott Buda város tanácsának és közgyűlésének állásfoglalásai azt mutatják, hogy nemcsak a dinamikusan fejlődő testvérváros, Pest gazdasági-társadalmi túlsúlyától, saját egyesített fővároson belüli közgyűlési befolyásának elvesztésétől, hanem az egyesítéssel járó fokozódó állami befolyástól is tartott. Az önkormányzati előjogait féltő polgársággal szemben Buda polgármestere és országgyűlési képviselője, Házmán Ferenc azonban a városegyesítés egyik élharcosává vált. Amikor Budapest egyesítésének gondolata felmerült, elsősorban Buda és Pest szabad királyi városok nagy múltú, sűrűn beépített- és lakott, gazdaságilag is jelentős belső városrészeinek sorsát szerették volna szorosabban összekötni, amihez Óbuda mezőváros csatlakozása is eléggé kézenfekvőnek látszott. Később bizonyos megfontolások alapján egyes külterületek, vagy különleges helyzetű városrészek szabályozásáról is gondoskodtak – ilyen volt pl. a Margitsziget. Ugyanakkor Pestnek nagy kiterjedésű tartozékai is voltak, amelyek a lakosság számában, vagy az urbanizáció mértékében nem érhettek fel a belsőbb kerületekkel. Sokan így vélekedtek Kőbányáról is, holott az 1860-as évek végére itt már fontos előre lépések történtek a városiasodás felé, és az ide települt üzemek is jelentős gazdasági erőt képviseltek. Azonban ahhoz, hogy a honatyák Kőbányát komolyan vegyék, és végül tizedik kerületként csatlakozhasson a főváros területéhez, az itt érdekelt birtokosoknak, és gyártulajdonosoknak is össze kellett fogniuk. Abstract:
Wind Cave National Park (WICA), the first cave in the world to become a national park, is famous for the park’s namesake feature. Wind Cave, named for the noticeable wind-flow patterns observed as air moves in and out of the natural cave entrance, is currently the third longest cave system in the United States and seventh longest in the world. Wind Cave formed when groundwater dissolved buried layers of the fossiliferous Madison Limestone, which were deposited during the Mississippian subperiod approximately 359 to 347 million years ago. In addition to the Madison Limestone, several other formations are exposed within the park, dating from the early Proterozoic to the Holocene. The presence of fossils within the park has been known since at least the late 19th century when early settlers explored the cave to turn the geologic feature into a tourist attraction. However, most of the geologic work conducted during the park’s history has focused on the exploration and development of the cave itself, rather than its fossils. Paleontology became a bigger focus in the late 20th century when the park partnered with the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology to recover and research fossils found within the cave and on the park’s surface. Other partnerships include those with the Mammoth Site of Hot Springs and Northern Arizona University, through which researchers have studied Quaternary cave deposits found across the park. In ascending order (oldest to youngest), the geologic formations at WICA include undifferentiated lower Proterozoic rocks (Precambrian), Harney Peak Granite (Precambrian), Deadwood Formation (Cambrian–Ordovician), Englewood Limestone (Devonian–Mississippian), Madison Limestone (Mississippian), Minnelusa Formation (Pennsylvanian–Permian), Opeche Shale (Permian), Minnekahta Limestone (Permian), Spearfish Formation (Permian–Triassic), Sundance Formation (Middle–Upper Jurassic), Unkpapa Sandstone (Upper Jurassic), Lakota Formation (Lower Cretaceous), Fall River Formation (Lower Cretaceous), White River Group (Eocene–Oligocene), and Quaternary alluvium, conglomerate, and gravel deposits. The units that are confirmed to be fossiliferous within the park are the Deadwood Formation, Englewood Limestone, Madison Limestone, and Minnelusa Formation, which contain a variety of marine fossils from a shallow sea deposition environment; the Sundance Formation, which has much younger marine fossils; the Lakota Formation, which has yielded petrified wood; and the White River Group and Quaternary deposits, which contain vertebrate and invertebrate fossils deposited in and near freshwater streams, lakes, and ponds. Many of the fossils of WICA are visible from or near public trails and roads, which puts them at risk of poaching or damage, and there is evidence that fossil poaching occurred at several of the Klukas sites soon after they were discovered. Furthermore, there are several fossil sites on the tour routes within Wind Cave, which are of value to interpretation and the park experience. WICA has implemented cyclic fossil surveys in the past to monitor site conditions, and it is recommended that this paleontological resource monitoring be continued in the future.

Ruski propagandni arsenal obuhvata alatke kao što su državni mediji koji emituju program namenjen publici u drugim zemljama (Russia Today, Sputnjik i drugi), zvanični državni nalozi na društvenim mrežama, kao i čitave armije lažnih naloga koji su u više navrata uočeni u kampanjama dezinformisanja i mešanja u politiku drugih država. One su se mnogo puta našle među razlozima za uvođenje sankcija pojedincima bliskim ruskoj vladi, ali i predsedniku Vladimiru Putinu lično. Upečatljiv primer nekoga ko je organizovao ovakvu vrstu mešanja i zbog toga se našao na meti sankcija je Jevgenij Prigožin, koga su nazivali „Putinovim ličnim kuvarom“ i koji je bio povezan sa Agencijom za istraživanje interneta poznatom kao „Fabrika trolova“ ili „Prigožinovi trolovi“. Iako je sam Prigožin poginuo u avionskoj nesreći, njegova „fabrika trolova“ i dalje radi. Srbija nije izuzetak kada je reč o državama čiji su se unutrašnji poslovi našli na udaru mešanja ruske vlade. To se, međutim, zbog prijateljskih odnosa Rusije i Srbije, retko iznosi u javnost. Takođe, takve radnje nisu očigledne, i nije ih lako na prvi pogled okarakterisati kao propagandu i uplitanje. Zbog toga ćemo u ovoj studiji razmotriti ovo pitanje i na primeru Srbije pokazati kojim se metodama propagande i intervenisanja Rusija koristi u zemljama koja se mogu nazvati „prijateljskim“. Posmatrano sa istorijskog stanovišta i u poređenju sa drugim zemljama na Balkanu, odnos Rusije i Srbije je verovatno jedan od najdubljih i najzanimljivijih. Ova vrsta odnosa ne može se nazvati isključivo političkim ili ekonomskim, jer prijateljstvo ovih država počiva na temeljima istorije, religije i etno-jezičke zajednice. Međutim, uprkos tim naizgled čvrstim odnosima, Rusija tokom poslednjih dvadeset godina Srbiju koristi kao platformu za svoju propagandu, držeći se pritom prilično uhodanih metoda . Uz to, Rusija u Srbiji i regionu koristi i svoju meku moć.
