Abstract:
At an exhibition in 1992 at the National Gallery in Washington, D.C., “Circa 1492: Art in the Age of Exploration,” one room among the four devoted to Ming China was called “Lamaist Art.” In the coffee-table book produced for the exhibition, with reproductions and descriptions of over 1,100 of the works displayed, however, not one painting, sculpture, or artifact was described as being of Tibetan origin. In commenting upon one of the Ming paintings, the well-known Asian art historian, Sherman E. Lee, wrote, “The individual [Tang and Song] motifs, however, were woven into a thicket of obsessive design produced for a non-Chinese audience. Here the aesthetic wealth of China was placed at the service of the complicated theology of Tibet.” This complicated theology is named by Lee with the term “Lamaism,” an abstract noun that does not occur in the Tibetan language but which has a long history in the West, a history inextricable from the ideology of exploration and discovery that the National Gallery cautiously sought to celebrate. Lee echoes the nineteenth-century portrayal of Lamaism as something monstrous, a composite of unnatural lineage, devoid of the spirit of original Buddhism (as constructed by European Orientialists). Lamaism was a deformity unique to Tibet, its parentage denied by India (in the voice of British Indologists) and by China (in the voice of the Qing empire), an aberration so unique in fact that it would eventually float free from its Tibetan abode, an abode that would vanish.

Abstract:
Introduction. The article examines the structure and features of Ganden Phodrang (Tib. dGa’-ldan pho-brang) — Tibetan traditional Government founded by the 5th Dalai Lama Lobsang Gyatso (1617–1682) in 1642 — in the context of interaction with institutions of the Qing administration in the 18th century. Diarchy based on the principles of unity of monastic and secular government (Tib. Сhos-srid) became the basis of the political and legal system of the Tibetan state and was reflected in some specifics of relations with Buddhist countries and peoples. The influence of the Qing Empire in the region by the end of the 18th century increased, and that was traced in formal characteristics but did not affect the functioning laws of Ganden Phodrang. Goals. The paper reviews and analyzes the origins, structure and features of the Dalai Lama’s traditional government Ganden Phodrang (1642–1959); identifies the main changes in the political structure of Tibet during the period of the greatest influence of the Qing government institutions in the 18th century; clarifies the position and role of the Dalai Lama as head of state, as well as the importance of regents and Qing ambans in governing the country. Materials and Methods. In addition to Qing sources, the article uses works by German and French Tibetan scholars (in English), as well as studies by Indian and Chinese Tibetologists. In Russian historiography, special attention is paid to the Dalai Lamas and Panchen Lamas, their relations with the Qing emperors, as well as to such administrative institutions of the Qing as ambans, legislative acts, and the Golden urn lot. Methodologically, the study employs historical and comparative approaches, and the problem-chronological principle. Conclusions. The article concludes that the Dalai Lama’s Government was uniquely independent in the 18th century, and tulku regents possessed special ‘dual’ status and significance. It is necessary to emphasize the importance of studying the topic in the context of international polemics around classification of the socioeconomic structure of Tibet in the Middle Ages, and its status in relation to China.

Abstract:
Since the late sixteenth century when Altan Khan of Tumed in Southern Mongolia adopted the Yellow Hat sect of Tibetan Buddhism and sup­ported it as the common faith of the Mongol people, the teaching and discipline of Buddhism greatly influenced the customs, society, and various ac­tivities of the nomadic Mongols. The Mongolian version of Tibetan Buddhism was called Lamaism, and the Buddhist monks were known as lamas. The highest ranking lama of Northern or Khalkha Mongolia was the well-known Jebtsundamba Khutagt. His first and second incarnations were born in the house of Tusheet Khan, the most influential one of four Khans of Khalkha Mongolia. They were recognized as spiritual leaders of Mongolia with high pres­tige in Mongolian politics. Consequently, the Manchu court in Peking became anxious of the prospects of a reunified Mongolia under their leadership. In order to prevent such perspective the Manchu emperor issued the unwritten regulation by which the third and its subsequent incarnations of the Jebtsundamba Khutagt were to be found in Tibet instead of Mongolia.1 The 8th Jebtsundamba Khutagt, who played an important role in the political life of modern Mongolia, was found as a boy in Tibet, and was brought to Mongolia in 1875 as a reincarnation of his predecessor. Penelitian ini adalah salah satu kajian ilmiah yang membahas tentang koeksistensi atau hidup rukun secara berdampingan umat beragama antara masyarakat Islam dan Kristen di Kecamatan Lamasi Kabupaten Luwu yang mana berdasarkan fenomena saat ini, di dunia tak terkecuali di Indonesia terdapat isu konflik yang mengatasnamakan agama. Penelitian ini memberikan batasan masalah yaitu bagaimana bentuk-bentuk koeksistensi umat beragama di Kecamatan Lamasi Kabupaten Luwu dan apa peran penting pendidikan dalam koeksistensi umat beragama di Kecamatan Lamasi Kabupaten Luwu.Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami bentuk koeksistensi umat beragama di Kecamatan Lamasi Kabupaten Luwu serta untuk memahami peran penting pendidikan dalam koeksistensi umat beragama di Kecamatan Lamasi Kabupaten Luwu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian bersifat kualitatif deskriptif, dengan tujuan menggambarkan fenomena koeksistensi umat beragama antara masyarakat Islam dan Kristen secara sistematis dari suatu fakta secara faktual dan cermat.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwasanya tiga bentuk koeksistensi umat beragama di Kecamatan Lamasi dapat ditinjau dari koeksistensi umat beragama dengan pemerintah, koeksistensi umat beragama melalui budaya, serta koeksistensi umat beragama melalui pendidikan. Koeksistensi umat beragama dengan pemerintah diwujudkan dalam beberapa peran pemerintah Kecamatan Lamasi seperti sosialisasi tentang toleransi, memfasilitasi dialog antaragama, pemerataan pelayanan, filterisasi berita palsu, serta adanya kerjasama dengan umat beragama dalam menjaga keharmonisan. Sedangkan koeksistensi umat beragama melalui budaya diimplementasikan melalui kesenian, adat pernikahan, kegiatan ekonomi, dan sistem kekeluargaan. Dan yang terakhir, bentuk koeksistensi umat beragama melalui pendidikan dilakukan dengan pergaulan antara pendidik dan peserta didik, memberi suri tauladan yang baik serta mengajak dan mengamalkan. Kemudian peran penting pendidikan dalam koeksistensi umat beragama di Kecamatan Lamasi yang diamati melalui pendidikan formal diantaranya sekolah sebagai ajang sosialisasi, sekolah sebagai salah satu wadah untuk memperingati hari raya keagamaan, sekolah sebagai tempat untuk menumbuhkembangkan jiwa toleransi, sekolah sebagai penunjang kegiatan sosial, serta sekolah sebagai upaya prefentif dan kuratif mengenai keharmonisan dalam bermasyarakat. Selain itu peran penting pendidikan dalam koeksistensi umat beragama yang diwujudkan dalam pendidikan informal dilakukan dengan tiga gaya pendisiplinan, diantaranya gaya pendisiplinan autotarif, pendisiplinan autotarian serta gaya pendisiplinan permisif.

Penelitian ini mengungkapkan pokok permasalahan berkenaan dengan kualitas kerja pegawai. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh tingkat pendidikan terhadap kualitas kerja pegawai pada kantor Urusan Agama Kecamatan Lamasi Timur Kabupaten Luwu. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 25 orang menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Analisis data dengan menggunakan regresi linear sederhana.Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa tingkat pendidikan secara positif berpengaruh terhadap kualitas kerja pegawai di Kantor Urusan Agama Kecamatan Lamasi Timur Kabupaten Luwu. Kontribusi pengaruh tingkat pendidikan terhadap kualitas kerja pegawai di kantor urusan agama Kecamatan Lamasi sebesar 94,8% sedangkan selebihnya 5,2% dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain yang tidak termasuk dalam penelitian ini.

Irigasi merupakan bangunan air yang berupa saluran dan berfungsi menyalurkan air dari bendung ke petak secara periodik, guna mencukupi kebutuhan air bagi tanaman di petak sawah oleh karena itu investasi irigasi menjadi sangat penting dan strategis dalam rangka penyediaan air untuk pertanian. Dalam memenuhi kebutuhan air untuk berbagai keperluan usaha tani, maka air (irigasi) harus diberikan dalam jumlah, waktu, dan mutu yang tepat, jika tidak maka tanaman akan terganggu pertumbuhannya yang pada gilirannya akan mempengaruhi produksi pertanian. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maksud penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kebutuhan air terhadap hasil produksi pertanian pada daerah irigasi Lamasi Kiri dusun To’Pongo Desa Awo Gading Kecamatan Lamasi. Dengan luas areal sebesar 92 ha, lahan persawahan dusun To’Pongo di Desa Awo Gading, Kecamatan Lamasi, areal persawahannya memanfaatkan air irigasi bersumber dari saluran induk Bendung Lamasi dan air hujan sehingga air dapat sampai ke areal persawahan. Dari hasil analisis pengaruh kebutuhan air terhadap hasil produksi pertanian khususnya padi berdasarkan perhitungan didapatkan bahwa produktivitas padi musim rendeng (padi musim hujan) sebesar 7,6 ton/ha menghasilkan produksi pertanian yang cukup besar yaitu sebesar 699,2 ton. Sedangkan produktivitas padi musim gadu (padi musim kemarau) sebesar 7,2 ton/ha hanya menghasilkan produksi pertanian sebesar 662,4 ton

Abstract:
This research aims to determine the effectiveness of communicative games that can improve students’ speaking skills in class VIII at SMPN 2 Lamasi. The method that is applied in this research is a pre-experimental design. The population in this research is the seventh-grade students of SMPN 2 Lamasi, and the total sample is 15 students. The research uses a cluster random sampling technique in determining the sample. The instrument of this research is speaking. The results of this research indicated that after using the communicative games to improve students' speaking skills of SMPN 2 La masi increases. This shows that there are significant differences between student scores in pre-tests and post-test. The mean score of the students’ pre-test is 37.47 and 81.47 in the post-test. So, there is significant different between the result of pre-test and post-test after the treatment. Therefore, the researcher concludes that communicative games is effective in teaching speaking at eight grade of SMPN 2 Lamasi.

Foram aplicadas análises discriminantes sobre dados de sedimentos superficiais de fundo do Rio de la Plata e da plataforma continental interna adjacente. Os dados correspondem a 199 amostras previamente agrupadas, através da aplicação de análise de agrupamento hierárquico. Os sedimentos foram separados, para melhor interpretação e discriminação, em duas classes texturais: uma correspondente a sedimentos grosseiros (areias) e outra, a sedimentos finos (lamas). As equações usadas para o estudo dos sedimentos incluem a média, o desvio padrão, a assimetria e a curtose. Foi possível discriminar e caracterizar 5 grupos de sedimentos arenosos: areias mistas deltaicas (fluviais e marinhas rasas); areias marinhas rasas (transportadas em suspensão); areias da zona de surfe (transportadas em suspensão); areias de face de praia (transportadas por tração) e depósitos de areias cascalhosas (tempestitos). Os sedimentos lamosos foram discriminados em 4 grupos, com base na aplicação de 3 funções discriminantes, os quais são definidos pelas seguintes características: lamas arenosas (marinhas rasas); lamas (transportadas em tração e por correntes densas); lamas e areias muito finas (fluviais) e lamas deltaicas (marinhas rasas).

Aineistona toimii työmarkkinoihin liittyvä lehdistömateriaali vuosilta 1991–1993, jossa ilmeneviä työmarkkinauskomuksia uudenlaisesta työn psykologisesta sopimuksesta ja sen vaatimasta työelämän ihannesubjektiviteetista tutkitaan kulttuurintutkimuksellisesti. Artikkeli väittää laman olleen lehdissä sodankäyntiä ja poikkeustoimille tilaa avannut kriisi. Työelämä ladattiin välttämättömyyksillä, ja vastuu siirtyi yksilöille, sillä kokonaisuutta ei koettu voitavan muuttaa. Luterilaisen etiikan mukainen uhrautumisen työkulttuuri, pettymys vanhaan kollektiiviseen, kasinotalouden moraaliin ja laman syvyys vahvistivat muutoksen omaksumista. Työtä koskeva psykologinen sopimus muuttui painottamaan työntekijöiden yksilöllistynyttä vastuuta. Syntyneet puhekehykset ovat säilyneet nykypäivään asti, sillä lamaa ei ole Suomessa käsitelty loppuun.

This study aims to improve children's fine motor skills through group B Meronce activities at TK PKK To'lemo, Lamasi Timur District, Luwu Regency. The design of this research refers to Classroom Action Research, namely Planning, Implementation, Observation, and Reflection. This research will be conducted at TK PKK To Lemo Cokroaminoto which is located in Lemo Village, Lamasi Timur District, Luwu Regency. The data source of this research was the students of group B which consisted of 13 boys and 7 girls with a total of 20 children. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by a) Observation, namely checklists, anecdotal notes, and works; b) Documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out by means of descriptive qualitative. The results of this study indicate that the activities carried out through meronce showed an increase from cycle 1 to cycle 2, the average of children's fine motor skills was 7.15 with a percentage of 35.75%. Based on this, through meronce activities for group B children at TK PKK To'lemo, Lamasi Timur District, Luwu Regency, it can improve children's fine motor skills. Based on this, this research is declared complete.

As lamas de beneficiamento de rochas ornamentais (LBRO) são resíduos que apresentam composição química variada em função da composição das rochas, do processo de beneficiamento, dos processos de reaproveitamento de águas e lamas, das propriedades dos insumos, entre outros fatores. A caracterização e classificação das LBRO são de grande importância, principalmente para o Estado do Espírito Santo, por possuir um expressivo número de empresas do setor. Neste trabalho, são apresentados os resultados de caracterização e classificação de lamas de desdobramento e polimento de mármores e granitos, segundo a NBR 10004/2004. Todas as amostras de lamas de tear convencional e de politriz analisadas foram classificadas como Classe IIA. Percebeu-se que a identificação dos resíduos por fonte geradora permite a proposição de tecnologias limpas, como o uso de teares a fio diamantado que utilizam o mínimo de insumos e de pastilhas diamantadas metálicas isentas de elementos tóxicos, contribuindo para a melhoria das características químicas das LBRO.

A mineração iniciou suas atividades lavrando depósitos de alto teor, sem preocupação em maximizar seu aproveitamento. Ainda hoje, milhões de toneladas de minerais úteis são descartados anualmente para as barragens de rejeitos. Nesse trabalho, foram realizados testes de deslamagem e flotação com lamas de minério de ferro, primeiramente em escala de bancada. Várias dosagens de coletor e depressor foram utilizadas. Os resultados promissores dos testes em escala de bancada levaram a testes em escala-piloto. Foi constatado que, com o processo de flotação catiônica reversa em colunas, utilizando-se dosagem mais elevada de depressor, consegue-se recuperação mássica da ordem de 60% e 80% de recuperação metálica, 9 a 12 % de Fe no rejeito, 0,55 % a 0,90 % de SiO2 no concentrado (SiO2+Al2O3 < 2,00 %), além de alta seletividade no processo. A utilização da flotação de ultrafinos é uma alternativa econômica para o aumento das recuperações nos empreendimentos mineiros. A flotação de ultrafinos também pode ser avaliada para a redução ou tratamento de efluentes descartados no meio ambiente.

Dicrocoelium dendriticum plays an important role in New World Camelids as infected animals may suffer from severe clinical symptoms even leading to death of the animals. Intra vitam diagnosis may be difficult as clinical signs are atypical and Dicrocoelium eggs are shed only intermittently in faeces. The aim of this paper is to present four clinical cases of dicrocoeliosis in lamas as well as three asymptomatic infected animals to support the veterinarian in practice to diagnose infections. Furthermore, it is the first time that ultrasonographic examinations are described in this context. All seven lamas had been admitted to the Clinic for Ruminants at the University for Veterinary Medicine in Vienna. None of the animals had a history of D. dendriticum infection. The ultrasonographic examination of the liver revealed in all diseased animals as well as in two asymptomatic lamas hyperechoic areas representing calcified bile ducts typical for an infection with liver flukes. These findings together with blood examination of liver enzymes and parasitological examination may lead to the intra vitam diagnosis of dicrocoeliosis in lamas and alpacas. With an early diagnosis, the therapy of Dicrocoelium spp. could become more effective and the number of animals rescued may be increased. &nbsp;

AbstractThe goal of pharmacologic therapy of stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is to reduce symptoms, improve exercise intolerance and health-related quality of life, and to reduce exacerbations. Inhaled long-acting β2-agonists (LABAs) and long-acting muscarinic antagonists (LAMAs) are equally effective for the symptomatic management of COPD. However, LAMAs are more effective than LABAs in the reduction of exacerbations. In patients with symptomatic COPD pharmacologic therapy is usually escalated using the fixed combination of LAMAs and LABAs (dual bronchodilation), which is also superior to LAMA monotherapy in the prevention of exacerbations. Adding inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) to LABA and LAMA (triple therapy) for a prevention of exacerbations results in a further reduction of exacerbations, especially in those patients with higher blood eosinophil counts. Non-pharmacologic management of COPD patients includes smoking cessation programs, vaccination, pulmonary rehabilitation, and strategies to improve or maintain their physical activity.

AbstractThis article examines the roles of Mongolian monasteries and lamas in transportation between the Qing Chinese (1636–1911) and Russian Romanov (1613–1917) empires during the latter half of the nineteenth century. A series of treaties between 1858 and 1882 granted Russian subjects the right to trade in Mongolian territories under Qing sovereignty, and the resultant increase of Russian trade across Mongolia provided new wage-earning opportunities. Larger monasteries, with their access to pack animals and laborers, acted as brokers, while for poorer lamas haulage was one of the few sources of paid labor available in Mongolian territories, making working in transportation a strategy of survival for many Mongolian lamas. Mongolian porters provide a window on to how the broad processes of nineteenth-century imperialism in the Qing empire affected labor on the Sino–Russian frontier, and on to how imperialism was experienced in one of the most remote corners of the Qing empire.
