Abstract:
This paper describes the methodology used to incorporate two numerical plume rise algorithms, one by Janicke and Janicke and another by Webster and Thomson, into the Lagrangian particle model LAPMOD. LAPMOD is fully interfaced with the diagnostic meteorological model CALMET, which is part of the widely used CALPUFF modeling system. LAPMOD can also use the meteorological input files produced with the AERMET meteorological processor of the US-EPA recommended model AERMOD. This paper outlines the theory behind the two plume rise algorithms and the details of their implementation in LAPMOD. The paper also provides the results of the evaluation of LAPMOD and its included plume rise algorithms against the well-known Indianapolis and Kincaid SF6 and SO2 field studies and tracer experiments. The performance of LAPMOD is successfully evaluated with the Model Evaluation Kit and compared with that of other air quality models.

Abstract:
Lapdock is based on the idea of providing a variation to our typical laptops and making them more efficient and comfortable to use. It is made up of two words mainly: - lap (seated person’s upper leg) and dock (plug or anchor) [1]. Lapdocks do not contain CPU of their own and this makes them different from laptops despite their similar appearance. The good thing about lapdocks is that lapdocks do not store any data in them. The devices are powered by using other devices that come with embedded O.S. For example: - Android phones, Raspberry pi etc. As these lapdocks do not contain any fragile part such as CPU or HDDs, it adds to its durability. All you need to do is to connect your intelligent devices to lapdock using a cable such as an HDMI cable and the lapdock is ready to be used. A lapdock is not a typical appliance, but it is the ultimate device and future of laptops. On an average, it is quite rare to change our laptops frequently. Laptops are expensive devices and require a lot of software to be downloaded while purchasing them. For their proper functioning, the software needs to be updated on a regular basis. Along with this, the other devices such as your phones and cameras are also needed to be updated accordingly. Using lapdocks we can get rid of tedious and costly tasks by updating just one device and using it to do our work. It is quite usual for people to change their mobile phones frequently as new and advanced features are launched in the market. With auto update it is easier to keep your phones updated than to update or change your laptop. There can be numerous reasons to change your phones: - phones become slower, crash, the bater might deplete fast, the camera becomes outdated and so on. People require new phones, whether for a new feature, technological development, or merely to modify. So, getting the latest phone is quite common and hence lapdocks are a better option. These devices are durable and need no applications. Infact, they do not require any other technical support so they need not be upgraded or replaced on a regular basis. That is why lapdocks are indeed the future and a workable alternative to owning a single long-lasting item and as a result avoiding obsolete electronic waste.

Abstract:
FEATURE AT A GLANCE: We examine the user experience of the XO laptop (the “$100 laptop”). The XO laptop combines many technology innovations and is used in the United States and abroad. We asked users to perform a range of simple tasks to demonstrate that several aspects of the XO laptop and similar devices can be improved, including hardware and software. Our recommendations are not difficult modifications. What we found suggests that usability problems may pose a greater risk to the success of this device than perhaps was imagined by its designers. We hope to see the XO laptop's usability become more polished and that usability, in general, will be considered appropriately as a potential risk for similar products.

Abstract:
AbstractThe emergence of modern humans during the Late Pleistocene and the phylogenetic fate of the northwestern Eurasian Neandertals have been closely linked to our perceptions of the behavior and abilities of those late archaic humans, the Neandertals. In the past several years, several lines of evidence, including radiometric dating of archeological assemblages, taphonomic analyses of faunal remains, stable isotope analysis of Neandertal remains, the dating of late Neandertal remains, considerations of initial Upper Paleolithic associations and chronologies, and reassessments of Neandertal to early modern human phylogenetic relationships have tended to minimise the perceived behavioral differences between the Neandertals and early modern humans across Europe. Into this context, the discovery of an earlier Upper Paleolithic (Gravettian) early modern human child's skeleton at the Abrigo do Lagar Velho, Lapedo Valley, Portugal with distinctive Neandertal features provides further support for the de-dehumanising of the Neandertals. Its anatomical evidence for population blending when early modern humans spread into southern Iberia after 30,000 B.P. indicates that the behavioral differences between the local Neandertals and in-dispersing early modern humans were subtle and did not preclude them from regarding each other as human.
