Full textThis geographical study on the role of larache and ksar-el-kebir in the space organisation, aims at pointing out the social and space alterations and transformations that have been caused by the irrigation in the low-loukkos (top north of morocco) suice 1975. After having situated both towns in their regional context through a detailled historic showing the economical difficulties of larache and ksar before independence the analysis tries to point out the varioces alterations which have been taking place suice 1975 in the low-loukkos. Firstly, the study focuses on the consequences of irrigation on the urbain growth and the migratory motions towards the low-loukkos towns. It tries to explain the relationship between immigration and their growth. Secondly, the study attempts to define the socio-economical radiance of larache and ksar:it aims at analysing of the agricultural products. Consequently, the economical domination of ksar is balanced in larache by a state intervention which reinforces the administrative and the agro-industrial functions. Moreover the state actsas the main real estate promotor. .

Full textThis edition contains a general presentation devoted to the author's biography and to the literary background in toulouse as well as in the west-occitan area in the early 17th century. A first bibliography gathers the works quoted in the edition of the two texts. La margalide is a collection in the petrarchan type consisting of 94 sonnets and 13 long poems. An introduction shows the literary interest of the original work. Meslanges consist of 37 sonnets dedicated to some of the author's near relations or friends and of 15 long poems of petrarchan or pastoral inspiration. They are preceded by an introduction too. Each of the two works is followed by a general glossary as well as an index of the proper names. A second bibliography gathers all the documents consulted for this survey. An appendix provides a map which help to locate the places and an index of the works published in toulouse under the reign of henry iv and the early reign of louis xiii (1589 -1622)

Full textThis dissertation addresses how Victorian class hierarchy persisted on the frontier, and manifested in aspects of military life at Fort Laramie, Wyoming. Historians have argued that Victorian culture was omnipresent, but forts were located on the frontier, which was removed from the cultural core. While social status differences were a central aspect of Victorian culture, few studies have investigated how resilient class divisions were in differing landscapes. The U.S. western frontier was a landscape of conflict, and under the continual stress of potential violence, it is possible that Victorian social status differences weakened. While status differences in the military were primarily signaled through rank insignia and uniforms, this research focuses on subtle everyday inequalities, such as diet and pet dogs. Three independent lines of evidence from Fort Laramie, Wyoming (1849–1890) suggest that Victorian social status differences did persist despite the location. The Rustic Hotel (1876–1890), a private hotel at Fort Laramie, served standardized Victorian hotel dishes, which could be found in urban upper-class hotels. Within the military, the upper-class officers dined on the best cuts of beef, hunted prestige game birds, and supplemented their diet with sauger/walleye fish. Enlisted men consumed poorer cuts of beef, hunted smaller game mammals, and caught catfish. Officers also owned well-bred hunting dogs, which were integrated into the family. In contrast, a company of enlisted men frequently adopted a communal mongrel as a pet. This project increases our knowledge of the everyday life on the frontier and social relationships between officers and enlisted men in the U.S. Army. It also contributes to a larger understanding of Victorian culture class differences in frontier regions.

Full textThis study identifies and examines Moises Kaufinan's theoretical questions and rehearsal techniques from their development in initial works at New York University to their specific application during the creation of Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde and The Laramie Project by his Tectonic Theater Project. Kaufinan's upbringing and major artistic influences are investigated in order to trace the origins of his current theoretical language and approach to making theatre. This dissertation primarily focuses on Kaufi:nan's approach to the workshop space as discussed in relation to his search for new theatrical forms, and his style of communication with company members. Such focus offers new questions regarding the basis and range ofKaufinan's aesthetic. The two guiding questions of the study ask: What is Kaufinan's directorial role in Tectonic Theatre Project's creation of new work? How does he ensure the "copulation" of form and content in the workshop space when creating new works? Chapter II outlines Kaufman's biography through detailing his education in Venezuela and in the Experimental Theatre Wing at New York University, as well as traces his early production history. Chapter III investigates how Tectonic techniques led to the creation of Gross Indecency examining Kaufman's inciting hunch, the depth of his research, his organizing principle and expanding through-lines, and "moment work." Chapter IV continues to trace the development of these Tectonic techniques through the creation of The Laramie Project, highlighting the fact that no two Tectonic Theater Project productions have been created in the same manner. This chapter also raises the crucial question of Kaufman's role as Tectonic's workshop director in regards to the issues of authority and authoring. Chapter V arrives at concluding questions and thoughts on Kaufman's theoretical questions in traffic with his workshop techniques, and how these shape his directorial and authorial aesthetics. Chapter V concludes with questions for further study on Kaufman and historically based theatre.

The film Brokeback Mountain and the docu-drama The Laramie Project both feature the violent killing, by men, of a male homosexual. After discussing the issue of male homosexuality and violence in these two different “texts,” various theories about male and female homosexuality and straight people’s fear and hatred of homosexuals will be discussed. Finally, various queer theories supporting the normality of homosexual or LGBT behavior in men and women will be discussed, including theories of the socio- cultural basis of gender identity and Judith Butler’s theory of performative gender identity. The Introduction will introduce The Laramie Project and Brokeback Mountain, the issue of homosexuality in men and women and the problem of hate crimes against homosexuals; summarize the main points to be presented in each chapter. Chapter 1, The Laramie Project introduces the nature of the docu-drama as a genre, the background of The Laramie Project, the main characters and plot, the central theme of the killing of a gay man, and what other characters as well as we as audience members (or readers) may make of the gay male protagonist and his fate. Chapter 2, Brokeback Mountain, introduces Ang-Li’s film Brokeback Mountain, the situation and personalities of the two gay male protagonists, the killing of one of the two men by a group of straight men, and what other characters as well as filmgoers may make of both the gay male protagonists and the violent fate of one of them. In Chapter 3, I compare the two texts with regard to the plots, characters and ideas, and also compare the cinematic and docu-drama techniques of these two works to show how these techniques may influence how we come to see the protagonists’ homosexuality as well as the reactions of other “characters” to it. In Chapter 4, theories of the causes and/or the nature of male and female homosexuality will be discussed, along with various explanations of the tendency of some straight men to hate, or fear, gay men so much that they will beat, torture and even kill them. Here various queer theories supporting the “normality” of homosexual or LGBT behavior in men and women will be discussed, including theories of the socio-cultural basis of gender identity and Judith Butler’s theory of performative gender identity. In Chapter 5 there will be a further analysis of the legal as well as psychological problem of anti-gay violence, and a discussion of the five “gay rights”: gay couple’s right to marriage, gay couples’ right to adopt children and raise a family, gay people’s right to be free from discrimination in the workplace and in the military, and the right to be legally protected from violent hate crimes. In conclusion, there are many men and women who are homosexuals. As this becomes more acceptable in our society today, there will hopefully be fewer and fewer homophobes and haters of homosexuals, and fewer hate crimes committed against them. Thus Matthew Shepard and Jack Twist will have served our society as tragic but important examples.

Aquatic firefly larvae, Luciola ficta Olivier will curl body and stretch forked-shape eversible organs after simulating. In the meantime, “pine oil” smell will be spread. Ten pairs of eversible organs distribute on meso- and metathorax, as well as the abdomen 1-8, above the tracheal gills on the pleural. The external structure of eversible organs of the fifth instar larvae is densely covered with flower-shaped protuberances. There are 3-6 petals on the protuberances, and no additional structure within protuberances. There are several hemi-spheres with hollow surrounding on the inner surface of eversible organs, which have mitochondrion inside. It should be the secretion gland that for defense. The protuberance and secretion gland connected with tube structure, should be the channel of secretion. There are several conditions between different predators attack L. ficta larvae. It shows 16% possibility that Coenagrionidae nymph prey on L. ficta larvae, and make firefly larvae injure or die. In that situation, Coenagrionidae nymph do not consume whole body of L. ficta larvae. In Loach (Misgurnus anguillicaudatus) experiment, they will attack L. ficta larvae several times within the experimental time, and then spit it out immediately. In the meantime, the firefly larvae will not be hurt. On the contrary, shrimp (Palaemonidae) will rotate L. ficta larvae and push aside their internal body part, then consume the larvae. There are different deterrent effects on different kinds of predators, the defense mechanism of L. ficta larvae should be the sense of taste, rather than the visual defense. Using gas chromatography-Mass spectrometry (GC - MS) detect the secretion chemicals of larvae, and get 82 peaks. Ignore impurities and the peaks less than 0.05%, only get 12 peaks, possess about 85% area. There are well known chemicals on 9 peaks within the analysis results. The peaks of results are simple and stable, the main components of secretion should play an important role in the chemical defense of L. ficta larvae. The main components of eversible organs ranked from high to low are Terpinolene (relative area = 20.87%, RT = 17.35 min), L - (-) - Verbenone (relative area = 12.23%, RT = 21.13 min), (-) - Sabinene (relative area = 9.31%, RT = 11.07 min), Limonene (relative area = 1.28%, RT = 14.20 min), and γ - Terpinene (relative area = 1.22%, RT = 15.82 min), and so on. Most of the secretions of L. ficta are monoterpene derivatives. These derivatives are confirmed that have deterrent effects, resistance of insects, and antibacterial properties. It can be produce by artificial synthesis in great quantity. Add terpinolene concentration in 3 concentration, 0.0425%、0.425%、4.25%, into commercial fish food and mix with 2% agar. The control food without terpinolene, then feed predators with different concentration. There are obviously deterrent efficiency in Misgurnus anguillicaudatus and palaemonidae in different concentration. 3 terpinolene concentration ranked from low to high have 30%- 95% deterrent efficiency of loach, and 20%- 80% deterrent efficiency of shrimp. From the results, the tolerance of shrimp is higher than loach, fit in with the results of deterrent experiment of L. ficta.

Full textCompanies that sell products or services can issue thousands or even millions of invoices a year. Each invoice issued must be properly delivered to the recipient and must follow the following flow: first, the invoice is printed and placed in an envelope that is sent to the mail. Then the mail is responsible for delivering the invoice to the customer. This whole process of delivery of the invoice to the recipient is expensive and time-consuming for the companies. In this sense, the goal of this master’s project is to develop a system of electronic invoices capable of surpassing the entire process of delivering invoices to the recipient. That is, the new electronic invoice system must guarantee the delivery of the invoice to the recipient without any change thereof, with low cost and as fast as possible. The developed system offers several functionalities such as, integration with multiple invoicing systems, reception of electronic invoices from invoice systems, send invoice issued to the recipient, reception of invoices from its suppliers, creating links between entities, among other functionalities. It is expected that the developed Electronic Invoices solution will be released to the market soon.
