Abstract:
The aim of this paper is verification of possibilities of Laravel PHP framework. An overview of literature is presented, which shows Laravel as a research tool in various scientific fields and compares it with other PHP language tools. The project of a test application was presented, which is a database of music albums with three datasets - one, two and five thousand albums. Laravel's Zend Framework and Symfony performance survey was based on, among other things, database loading time, database searches, and the time to generate a single album view with relationships. Summary of the information contained in the paper states that Laravel is an easy-to-use tool, with a number of app creation aids, but with performance outweighed by the frameworks compared to it, the most efficient of which is Zend Framework.

Laravel menyediakan pendekatan painless routing (dari situs laravel.com) untuk menerapkan routing pada aplikasi web.Laravel pada situs resminya tidak menjelaskan secara mendetail mengenai konsep routing. Hal tersebut yang menjadi fokus penelitian untuk mengkaji syarat, fungsi dan peran, cara kerja, dan apa yang menjadi kelebihan dan kekurangan dengan fitur-fitur routing pada Laravel versi 5.0. Peneliti melakukan pengujian mengukur jumlah langkah pembuatan URI terhadap routing Laravel dan cara konvensional yang menyerupai routing Laravel, hasilnya Laravel memiliki langkah sekali deklarasi dibandingkan secara konvensional. Peneliti tidak menemukan kekurangan dari pengunaan routing pada Laravel tetapi developerharus memahami konsep routing pada Laravel tersebut sebagai konsekuensinya.

Abstract. This website was designed to address an issue of finding handyman. The idea was to make finding a good handyman easier for the users. The problem that is commonly faced in a searching process is the difficulty to find a construction worker whose skills match the needs of the existing project. It can create a fatal impact for the construction worker is one of the important factors in determining the quality of a building. Designing a website for finding handymen is then considered solve the problem since the number of internet users in Indonesia is increasing nowadays. The website is created by using Laravel framework. Laravel was chosen because it is a robust framework establishing the orderly construction that it is useful to organize the codes. The use of Laravel can also reduce the number of repetitiveness in building a complete working website. The result shows that the website to find a handyman can be built using Laravel framework. Keywords: website, Laravel, handyman, framework, PHP.Abstrak. Pada proses pencarian tukang, kendala yang sering dihadapi adalah tidak sesuainya keahlian tukang dengan kebutuhan proyek yang ada. Hal tersebut dapat berakibat fatal karena tukang merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam menentukan kualitas sebuah bangunan. Dengan tingginya pengguna internet di Indonesia maka masalah pada proses pencarian tukang dapat dipecahkan dengan membuat website untuk mencari tukang. Website tersebut akan dibuat dengan menggunakan framework Laravel. Laravel dipilih karena merupakan framework yang kokoh dan memiliki rangka untuk membuat website yang tersusun dengan rapi, sehingga dapat membantu mengorganisir kode. Penggunaan Laravel dapat mengurangi jumlah pengulangan dalam membangun kerja situs web yang lengkap. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa website untuk mencari tukang dapat dibangun menggunakan framework Laravel. Kata Kunci: website, Laravel, tukang, framework, PHP.

Hal ini terjadi pada Gereja Reformed Injili Indonesia di mana jemaat mereka datang pada waktu yang salah untuk mengikuti acara karena informasi yang beredar salah atau telah dirubah karena suatu sebab. Sehingga untuk menyelesaikan masalah tersebut diperlukan sebuah situs web sebagai acuan informasi mengenai kegiatan atau acara pada gereja. Metode pembangunan menggunakan prototype dikarenakan pihak gereja belum pernah membangun situs web dan membutuhkan panduan dalam membangun. Framework yang digunakan adalah laravel agar lebih efisien dalam membangun sebuah situs web. Situs yang dibangun akan berupa situs dinamis dengan penyimpanan data menggunakan database, agar pihak gereja dapat dengan leluasa melakukan perubahan dalam jadwal acara. Dengan adanya situs yang dibangun untuk gereja, diharapkan informasi kepada jemaat akan diambil dari stus web. Sehingga bila ada perubahan maka perubahan itu akan langsung terjadi dan dapat menjadi acuan bagi jemaat yang mencari info kegiatan. Pembangunan situs web menggunakan laravel dan metodologi prototyping membantu user dalam memperoleh gambaran mengenai situs web yang dibangun dan mereka dapat melakukan penyesuaian sesuai dengan kebutuhan user.

The corona virus outbreak affects various aspects of life, including the field of education. SMA IT Plus Bazma Brilliant during the online learning period has used e-learning in its teaching and learning activities. Teachers in utilizing information technology, must be creative. The number of students who want to learn programming laravel framework to make applications so that they learn through social media ranging from youtube, facebook or links on google. However, even though they are learning on their own, students still find it difficult because there is no teacher to guide them. There are some students who don't really understand programming, one of which is Laravel programming because of the lack of direct assistance during this COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this service is to provide training to students in understanding Laravel framework programming. The method used is through lectures and discussions followed by direct practice using the Laravel framework which is guided by the service team. The results of this service. Participants who took part in the training felt happy and satisfied with this service activity, this could be seen from the expressions of satisfaction and enthusiasm of the participants listening and asking various things about the material that had been given by the devotees. This service activity is considered by the participants as a means of introducing and learning the Laravel framework as a basis for learning programming to create a simple project

Abstract:
This independent work includes refactoring a website application. In simpler sense, it means modernizing existing code by increasing its quality and making it more understandable; to exchange old knowledge of methods and concepts into something that is more relevant to its time. This refactoring has also meant to transform the UI into something that is more appealing, and more userfriendly. The website that has gone through the refactoring is Nordyr (”https://nordyr.com/”). Nordyr is a Nordic Film & Series Database that shares information about Nordic films and tv-series, and everyone involved. They also offer social tools such as user profiles and various tools to simplify the exploration and interaction between Nordic movies and consumers. This was made possible by using vanilla PHP, JavaScript/jQuery, and the MariaDB database for information storage and management. The implementation of the refactoring meant retaining PHP for the backend, but applying the Laravel framework, and likewise for JavaScript, but applying ReactJS (a powerful JavaScript library). Nordyr retains MariaDB for its information storage and management, however, its SQL queries have been adapted to Laravel’s query-builder and Eloquent ORM, which means that the majority of SQL queries have been rewritten and the majority of data tables are now represented by models. The restructuring of Nordyr has shown that the website now has the ability to scale better, and the development environment will also be more pleasant for those involved.
Det här självständiga arbetet har innefattat att omstrukturera en hemsida. Det innebär i enklare mening att modernisera kod och öka dess kvalité; att byta ut äldre kunskaper om metoder och koncept till något som anses vara av mer relevans för sin tid. Refaktoreringen har också inneburit att dess UI gjorts om till att bli mer tilltalande och användarvänlig. Hemsidan som gått igenom refaktoreringen är Nordyr (”https://nordyr.com/”). Nordyr är en Nordisk Film- & Serie-databas som delar information om nordiska filmer och tv-serier och alla inblandade. De erbjuder även sociala verktyg som användarprofiler och diverse verktyg för att förenkla upptäckandet och interaktionen mellan nordiska titlar och konsumenter. Detta gjordes möjligt med hjälp av vanilj PHP, JavaScript/jQuery, och databasen MariaDB för informationslagring och hantering. Genomförandet av refaktoreringen innebar att behålla PHP för backend men tillämpa ramverket Laravel, och likaså för frontend, JavaScript stod kvar men ReactJS (”JavaScript bibliotek”) tillämpades. Nordyr behåller MariaDB, men dess förfrågningar i SQL har anpassats till Laravels query-builder och Eloquent ORM, vilket innebar att majoriteten av SQL frågor skrivits om och majoriteten av tabeller representeras nu av modeller (”Models”). Omstruktureringen av Nordyr har visat på att hemsidan nu har förmågan att skala bättre, och utvecklingsmiljön kommer även bli mer behaglig för de inblandade.

Abstract:
Att välja ramverk till sitt första projekt är en utmaning, och många artiklar har olika åsikter om vilket ramverk som är mest lämpligt. Målet med den här studien är att undersöka vilket av ramverken Laravel och Symfony som är populärast, för- och nackdelar skall jämföras, samt vilket av ramverken som är lättare eller svårare att komma igång med, utifrån tid och smidighet.   Två olika metoder användes i det här arbetet. Med hjälp av dokumentationer, rapporter, undersökningar, en enkät och ett flertal artiklar så genomfördes en litteraturundersökning för att svara på popularitet samt få reda på för- och nackdelar. För att sedan undersöka vilket av ramverken som är lättare eller svårare att komma igång med så skapades två applikationer, ett i respektive ramverk.   Resultatet av detta projekt är att Laravel är det mest populära ramverket av de två ramverk som har undersökts. För- och nackdelar har jämförts och det är konstaterat att många egenskaper i ramverken liknar varandra. Skillnaderna är hur koden är strukturerad och hur användarvänliga ramverken är. Det är renare och enklare kodning att arbeta mot en databas i Laravel, och Symfony har bättre debuggings-verktyg. Efter de två applikationer som skapades så visade det sig vara Symfony som var enklare att komma igång med, eftersom Symfony erbjuder tjänsten ”Symfony Screencast” samt att man kan ta hjälp av dess debugging-verktyg.

Об’єктом даної роботи є створення веб-сайту онлайн-бібліотеки, що дозволить користувачам вести облік прочитаних книг та планувати списки на майбутнє. Сайт забезпечений функціональною панеллю адміністрування. В результаті аналізу різноманітних ресурсів, що надають функціонал для ведення обліку прочитаних книг онлайн, були виявлені переваги та цілі для розробки проекту. Метою проектування була розробка веб-системи зі зручним інтерфейсом, що надасть змогу користувачам вести облік прочитаного, складати плани на майбутнє та переглядати статистику. Важливою ціллю розробки ресурсу була гнучкість та адаптивність інтерфейсу, що дозволило користувачам зручно використовувати веб-сайт, як на пристроях з великим розширенням екрану, так і на мобільних пристроях. Цільовою аудиторією ресурсу можуть бути люди різного віку та різних інтересів.
The object of this work is to create an online library website that will allow users to keep track of the books they read and plan lists for the future. The site is equipped with a functional administration panel. As a result of the analysis of various resources that provide functionality for keeping records of books read online, the advantages and goals for project development were identified. The aim of the design was to develop a web system with a user-friendly interface that will allow users to keep track of what they read, make plans for the future and view statistics. An important goal of the resource development was the flexibility and adaptability of the interface, which allowed users to easily use the website, both on devices with large screen extensions and on mobile devices. The target audience of the resource can be people of different ages and different interests.

Abstract:
Context. PHP framework Laravel offers three techniques to interact with databases, Eloquent ORM, Query builder and Raw SQL. It is important to select the right database technique when developing a web application because there are pros and cons with each approach.  Objectives. In this thesis we will measure the performance of Raw SQL and Eloquent ORM, there is little research on which technique is faster. Intuitively, Raw SQL should be faster than Eloquent ORM, but exactly how much faster needs to be researched.   Methods. To measure the performance of both techniques, we developed a blog application and we ran database operations select, insert and update in both techniques.   Conclusions. Results indicated that overall Raw SQL performed better than Eloquent ORM in our database operations. There was a noticeable difference of average response time between Raw SQL and Eloquent ORM in all database operations. We can conclude that Eloquent ORM is good for building small to medium sized applications, where simple CRUD operations are used for the small amount of data. Typically for tasks like inserting a single row into a database or retrieving few rows from the database. Raw SQL is preferable for the applications that are dealing with huge amount of data, bulk data loads and complex queries.

Detta projekt handlar om att skapa ett bokningssystem till en statlig myndighet, där de kommer att erbjuda en förvägsbokning till besökaren. Besökaren kommer att i förväg kunna välja ett datum och tidpunkt för önskat möte för att sedan ge information om vad mötet skall handla om.  Myndigheten vill även få in information i systemet om samtliga bokade tider. Då ett sådant system saknas, önskas det en webbaserad bokningssystemmed med anledning till digitalisering. Kommunikation samt bokningar sker via telefon vilket tillför överbelastning vid olika tillfällen samt slöseri av resurser.   Projektarbetet började genom att ta kontakt med myndigheten genom en myndighetsansvarig anställd och därefter skapa en idé utifrån hur systemet ska se ut. Därefter implementerades det en kravlista samt en tidsplanering för projektet.   Designprocessen inleddes med att samla information om den befintliga hemsida som myndigheten använde sig av för att anpassa formen, strukturen samt få en inblick på hur en eventuell lösning kan se ut. Därefter inleddes arbetet kring en marknadsanalys där forskning kring olika företag som erbjuder en liknande tjänst hänvisades, för att jämföra de samt få en bild av vad sådana företag har att erbjuda till besökarna.    Projektet delades i två huvudområden, teori och praktik. Teoriområdet handlar om författande, planering samt strukturen av projektet. Det praktiska området handlar om kodningen i form av val av programmeringsspråk, implementation av funktioner samt användartester.    Slutresultatet är ett fullt funktionellt bokningssystem som uppfyller alla uppsatta mål, samt ett bokningssystem som följer myndighetens krav. Till systemet så skapades det två olika hemsidor en som riktar sig till besökarna och en som riktar sig till administrationen. Båda hemsidorna är användarvänliga, relativt säkra samt tar hänsyn till GDPR. Resultatet kunde bekräftas genom ett antal olika användartester samt olika undersökningar. I framtiden så önskas det att bokningssystemet kan utvecklas mer för att nå högre nivå av bekvämlighet.
This project is about creating a booking system for a government agency, where the agency will offer advance booking to the visitors. The visitors will be able to choose in advance the date and time for the desired meeting and then provide information about what the meeting will be about. The agency also wants information about the booked times. The agency does not have any form of web-based booking system, what the agency currently has is contact during opening hours by telephone calls.   The work began by contacting the agency and then creating an idea of what the system should look like, then a list of requirements and time planning for the project was created.   The design process begins with gathering information about the existing website that the that the agency uses to adapt the shape of the system to the website and to get an insight into what it might look like. Then market analysis began where different companies that offer such a service were taken up to compare them and get an idea of what such companies offers to the customers who target them.   The project was divided into two main areas, namely theory and practical areas. The theory area is about writing the project planning and structuring the project. The practical area is about coding in the form of choice of programming language, implementation of functions and user tests.   The result is a fully functional booking system that meets all set goals, as well as a booking system that follows the agency’s requirements. For the system, two different websites were created, one aimed at the visitors, and one aimed at the administration. Both websites are user friendly, relatively secure and take GDPR into account. The result could be confirmed through several different user tests and surveys that were carried out during the project. In the future, it is desired that the booking system can be developed more to reach a higher level of convenience.

The report handles the process of creating a website for Outdoor Bräcke. Outdoor Bräcke is a substantial outdoor facility built and planned by the sports association Bräcke Sportsclub. The facility does not have a website and with the goal of spreading information about the facility to the public a graphic profile has been created, with a website, logotype and color scheme. Analysis about web usability was made to answer the main problem statements in the project: What purpose does a website serve for a sports association? What functionalities does a association require on their website? Does associations really need websites? The result of these questions vary due to social medias large role in today's society, associations doesn't need a website to spread information. An outdoor facility like Outdoor Bräcke could use a website where visitors can book the facility online and find information without having to navigate around on social media. The project has specialized on usability to create a website that is easy to use and accessible. The website was sketched on a design tool and the coded with Laravel, which is a framework for the programminglanguage PHP. The report also goes through different usability principles and what tools are used to reach these result. Usability plays a large role in how websites are consumed today, and they require a high usability level for visitors to stay on a website. In the report a in-depth analysis has been made on the current option for a website for Outdoor Bräcke to see how it can be improved and how the current situation is.
Rapporten behandlar arbetet om att skapa en webbplats för Outdoor Bräcke. Outdoor Bräcke är en omfattande föreningsbyggd friluftsanläggning som projekterats och ägs av Bräcke Sportklubb. Anläggningen har ingen webbplats och med målet att sprida information om anläggningen till allmänheten så har en grafisk profil skapats, med webbplats, logotyp, och färgschema. Analyser om webbanvändbarhet har gjorts för att svara på projektets problemformuleringar; Vilket syfte har en webbplats för en idrottsförening? Vilka funktionaliteter behöver en förening ha på sin webbplats? Behöver föreningar verkligen webbplatser? Resultatet av dessa frågor har varierat på grund av sociala mediers stora roll i dagens samhälle, föreningar behöver alltså inte webbplatser för att förmedla information. Men trots detta så kan en anläggning som Outdoor Bräcke behöva en webbplats där besökare kan boka anläggningen online och hitta information utan att behöva söka runt på sociala medier. Projektet har riktat in sig på användbarhet för att få fram en webbplats som är lättanvänd och tillgänglig. Webbplatsen har skissats upp med designverktyg och sedan kodats med Laravel, vilket är ett ramverk för programmeringsspråket PHP. Rapporten går också igenom olika webbanvändbarhets principer samt vilka verktyg som används för att nå dessa resultat. Användbarhet har idag en stor betydelse för hur webbplatser upplevs och det krävs hög användbarhet för att få en användare att stanna kvar på en webbplats. I rapporten görs en ingående analys av det nuvarande alternativet av webbplats som finns för Outdoor Bräcke, för att se vad som kan förbättras samt hur nuläget är.
