Formålet med denne studie var å undersøke om og hvordan voksne i et retrospektivt perspektiv opplevde å være barn av rusmisbrukere, og om de mente at de viste noen form for signaler til omgivelsene. Dette ut i fra opplevelser de mente de hadde i tiårsalderen. Jeg benyttet en kvalitativ forskningsmetode for å få frem deltakernes erfaringer og opplevelser. Studien er basert på intervju av seks voksne mennesker som har vært barn av rusmisbrukere. Disse ble valgt ut i fra etiske argumenter og den praktiske gjennomføringen av prosjektet.
