Lead (Pb), occurs both naturally and as a pollutant in Arctic landscape systems. The ongoing climate change, especially pronounced in the Arctic, changes the premises for Pb transport and mobility. Thus, to predict future development of both natural and pollution Pb, an increased understanding of their storages and flows in an Arctic system is of interest. Here, a Pb mass-balance budget for an entire catchment in West Greenland was calculated. The budget shows that most Pb is stored in terrestrial soils (94%), while 6% of total catchment Pb is in lake sediments. Other Pb-pools are small in com

Lead (Pb) recycling activities in Dong Mai village, Chi Dao commune, Van Lam district, Hung Yen province have been taking place for more than 30 years. The development of recycling activities contributed to the improvement of the local economics. However, along with economic development, Dong Mai craft village is facing to serious pollution. Soil, air and water polluted by lead (Pb) caused food containing Pb at higher levels than allowed limit from 20 to 40 times. The pollution had the bad effect on human health in this village. The investigation results showed that 100 % of employee who parti

In Vietnam, soil contamination with lead and cadmium at very high level was investigated anddiscovered in the surrounding areas of zinc-lead mining and processing factory in Tan Long (Dong Hy district, Thai Nguyen province) and around the lead-recycling smelter in Chi Dao (Van Lam district, Hung Yen province). The survey on soil contaminated by arsenic due to the tin mining and sifting activities in Ha Thuong (Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province) was also carried out. In Tan Long, the concentrations of lead and cadmium in the old solid waste dump from zinc-lead factory varied from 1,100 to 1
