Abstract:
Abstract Assessing the progress of lectures ensures the involvement of lectures in the exercise of science dissemination by research, education, and community service. That job affects the performance of lecturers at universities throughout the country. The performance of lecturers is evaluated regularly because of the vast number of evaluation attributes. Manual assessment can take time and cannot be carried out. In the evaluation of lecturer’s outcomes, a decision support model is needed to facilitate decision making. This study applies the preference ranking organization method for enrichment assessment (PROMETHEE) as a decision model in Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) and Geometric Analysis for Interactive Aid (GAIA) as a geometric analysis in determining lecturer performance. This analysis resulted in the maximal value of an alternative of 2 with Phi 0.2333, followed by 1 and 3 alternatives. These results suggest that alternative 2 is the best way to assess the performance of lecturers as the main indicator. Alternative 3 is the least recommendable alternative because of its lowest precision on the basis of visualization results.

Abstract:
Lecturers are one of the main actors in universities. Lecturer performance can affect the quality of a college. Because the quality of higher education is strongly influenced by the lecturers, the performance of the lecturers needs to be assessed. Lecturer performance can be assessed by evaluating the lecturer's performance in teaching. Lecturer performance can be evaluated by classifying student assessments of lecturers. Lecturers are assessed based on how the lecturer mastered the material, the lecturer's discipline in teaching, and the presentation of the material. The process of grouping lecturer scores can be done using the K-Means algorithm. K-Means is a popular clustering algorithm that performs well. K-Means requires a parameter that is K or the number of clusters. The importance of the number of clusters so that there is a need for optimization in determining the number of K. In this study, optimization was carried out using the Elbow method so as to produce the ideal number of groups of 4 groups. The results of the clustering evaluation calculated using the SSE were 54.4% which showed that the results were not optimal. The results of the cluster evaluation are not optimal due to the lack of data for the K-Means application.

Abstract:
Lecturers play a very significant role in education. Managing their performance can give good impacts to the quality of teaching processes and outcomes. There are actually many approaches to manage their performance. One of the approaches worth considering is students’ feedback combined with the marketing concept of ‘customer satisfaction’ since students can be considered customers. The concept of student satisfaction is too broad. It ranges from facilities to lecturers. This paper focuses only on managing the lecturer’s performance based on student satisfaction towards what normally a lecturer has done in teaching and learning. The data is collected from the questionnaire provided for the students. The research is expected to map the weakness and strength areas of the lecturer in four classifications: first, what the lecturer should improve because the lecturer’s performance perceived by the students is in the low level and the students’ expectation is in the high level; second, what the lecturer should maintain or keep going because the lecturer’s performance and the students’ expectation at the same time are in the high level; third, what the lecturer should maintain but think about the weighting of it because the lecturer’s performance is in the low level and the students’ expectation is also in the low level; fourth, what the lecturer should reduce the emphasis if possible because the lecturer’s performance is in the high level and the students’ expectation is in the low level. The result shows that with the four classifications the lecturer’s performance can be managed well. Consequently, the lecturer can do the planned evaluation action to improve the performance accordingly in measurable and manageable way.

Abstract:
This study aims to develop lecturer performance appraisal model using web-based Integrated Evaluation Model (IEM). The object of this study is certified lecturers in Indonesia, by applying this model, the certification compensation given by the government is really used to enhance lecturer's performance. It is expected that the results of this study can be an important research that produces effective and efficient software to evaluate the lecturers' performance nationally because it involves a 360degree assessment. We have done some activities to develop the prototype software application of Integrated Evaluation Model (IEM) for assessing the certified lecturer's performance. They are 1) preparing the questionnaire indicator for the 360 degree performance appraisal, 2) conduct the program test on the certified lecturer. In this phase, certified lecturers, superior, and students also conduct assessment on certified lecturers through IEM software, 3) conduct Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to gain evaluation and feedback on the effectiveness of the IEM application program. FGD results provide a valuable contribution to the preparation of IEM program design. And the IEM software produced in this research has accommodated all of the results of FGD activities. IEM complements the prior certified lecturer performance appraisal with 360 degrees performance appraisal.

Abstract:
The Tri Dharma of Higher Education is an obligation for lecturers while carrying out their duties as lecturers at higher education institutions, the implementation of which is regulated in Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System. The Tri Dharma of Higher Education is a lecturer's obligation, including Education and Teaching, Research and Development, and Community Service. Lecturers need Support and motivation to implement quality Tri Dharma, especially at "X" Private Universities. Providing rewards or awards can motivate lecturers to give their best performance to Tri Dharma. Student feedback is also needed as evaluation material for lecturers to measure their teaching abilities. Rewarding lecturers can be done by ranking lecturer performance, especially at private universities. The SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) algorithm ranks lecturer performance through the criteria of education and teaching, research, community service, and student feedback. An assessment of several subcriteria presents each criterion. The normalized scoring matrix is the ranking preference. From the results of data processing on lecturer performance and feedback from students, with a sample of 25 lecturers, a ranking score was obtained on a scale of 0 to 1, where a score of 1 is the highest ranking. The lecturer performance ranking process involves lecturers, students, and the Study Program Management Unit. A lecturer performance rating information system is needed to facilitate all actors' involvement in the lecturer performance rating process and provide valid and timely rating results to stakeholders.

Lecturers often do not do learning using zoom meetings but only provide material without explaining it. Then the risk that will arise for lecturers who do not provide student learning reports will result in students not being enthusiastic in lectures, so that they can be reviewed in an assessment of lecturer performance. Therefore a decision support system is made to facilitate the calculation process of all criteria for assessing lecturer performance. Abstract:
One of the essential factors in a learning process, especially in higher education, is lecturer performance. This study aims to discover the impact of a lecturer's performance on students learning outcomes in the online learning environment. Lecturer performance is represented by four aspects which are the lecturer's performance on learning technology (X1), the lecturer's performance on learning pedagogy (X2), the lecturer's performance on supporting learners (X3), and the lecturer's performance on supporting educators (X4). This quantitative research approach aims to discover one variable's cause-and-effect relationship to another. The subject of this study is 37 lecturers and 146 students. The result shows that the lecturer's performance contributes 43.1% to students' learning outcomes. It is known that learning technology and pedagogy aspects have a significant effect on students' learning outcomes. However, supporting learners and educators does not significantly impact students' learning outcomes. Therefore, the lecturer's performance positively impacts learning outcomes and is valuable for further online learning development. A potential research contribution could be to investigate further the relationship between specific aspects of a lecturer's performance and students' learning outcomes in an online learning environment. this study's findings have significant implications for higher education institutions seeking to improve online learning experiences for students. By identifying the specific aspects of lecturer performance that most impact learning outcomes, institutions can provide targeted support and training to their lecturers, ultimately leading to improved learning outcomes for students in online learning environments.

Abstract:
The process of recording lecturer attendance, which is one of the factors in teaching that must be recorded at each learning meeting, is carried out by lecturers and students directly (manually), by filling in the attendance list prepared by the admin staff of the study program. However, this process resulted in difficulties in the reporting process (recap of lecturer teaching attendance data) to be reported to the head of the study program, deputy dean for academic affairs. Attendance is a benchmark for determining the level of presence of lecturers in teaching at a university so that lectures can run well with activeness between lecturers and students who attend the lectures being held. To make it easier to create lecturer teaching attendance applications using the waterfall method and using web-based programming, namely PHP and MySQL. The application is created in accordance with the lecture schedule which functions as access control (schedule access control) to maintain order in taking attendance and make it easier for staff in the process of recording and monitoring lecturers' attendance and discipline in conducting lectures. Making this application serves to make it easier to record lecturer attendance and make it easier for study programs to monitor lecturer attendance. After using this attendance application, it makes it easier for lecturers to organize teaching time, as well as increasing the level of discipline for lecturers and making it easier for the lecturer performance assessment process carried out by the study program.

Abstract:
Al Islam and Kemuhamamdiyahan (AIK) are characteristic of all Muhamamdiyah Universities. AIK is implemented in all lecturer performances written in the chess dharma of higher education: education, research, service, and AIK. Of the 286 lecturers, not all of them necessarily have a Muhammadiyah background. Even though universities require all academic activities to incorporate Islamic values, not all academics can implement AIK as a driving force for lecturer performance. Therefore, lecturers must have a strategy to understand and enforce AIK in their performance. This research aims to explore lecturers' understanding of AIK and how to implement AIK as a driving force for lecturers' performance. This research uses a qualitative phenomenological approach. To obtain data in the field using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. Data analysis uses source triangulation. This research shows that AIK is implemented in all lecturer performance, such as teaching, research, service, behavior, and interaction with the broader community. The strategy implemented is that lecturers are encouraged to actively participate in activities to increase understanding of AIK through recitations at branches, branches, and regional centers and taking part in Baitul Arqom Lecturers. Lecturer performance evaluation is carried out every semester. AIK is the primary determinant and includes the highest score for lecturer performance achievements besides education, research, and service.

Abstract:
Higher education is an education unit that able to carry out academic, professional and / or vocational programs. Lecturers are professional and scientific educators with the main task of transforming and developing, and disseminating science, technology and art through education, research and community service. The performance evaluation applies seven criterias, namely: attendance, teaching, research, dedication, loyalty, cooperation and responsibility. The problems are; the lecturers’ performance evaluation is not optimal yet because there is no specific method to implement it. Therefore, it is necessary to build a decision support system by applying the Technique For Others Reference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). This system will later help us in determining the best lecturer in accordance with the regulation. The TOPSIS method uses the principle that the chosen alternative must have the longest (farthest) distance from the negative ideal solution from geometric point of view using the relative proximity of an alternative. The alternative means the lecturers’ performance with predetermined criterias. This method produces a lecturers rankings based on the best performance on numerical scores and sorted by the greatest preference scores. The particular study used 5 lecturers as alternative to be tested. They were Lecturers 1, Lecturers 2, Lecturers 3, Lecturers 4, and Lecturers 5. The results showed that Lecturer 1 was the best lecturer with the biggest preference score of 0.612.

Abstract:
Effective lecture comprehension in English-Medium Instruction (EMI) contexts is crucial for student learning, particularly when taught by non-native English (NNS) speakers. This study investigates the specific needs of engineering students, emphasizing the impact of lecturers’ pronunciation on effective comprehension. Intelligible pronunciation and its relation to comprehension (Munro & Derwing, 1995) are central to this exploration. Students’ judgment of NNS lecturers’ pronunciation accuracy significantly influences their comprehension (Munro & Derwing, 1995; Valcke & Pavón, 2015). Kornder and Mennen (2021) note that learners’ linguistic backgrounds affect their perception of accented speech, which then impacts their evaluation of teaching quality (Jensen, 2013). This study involves a survey of 104 students (both Italian and international), attending MA lectures in engineering taught in English by Italian L1 lecturers. Students were asked to evaluate their lecturers’ pronunciation and indicate whether it interfered with their comprehension of the lectures. It also includes assessment of a lecture attended by some of the students surveyed, recorded and transcribed, in order to compare students’ subjective impressions of lecturer discourse with objective observations of lecture delivery. Findings reveal that students’ perceptions of EMI lecturers’ language performance and their comprehension in the classroom are influenced by several different factors, which affect comprehension regardless of the lecturer’s actual English language skills. This study highlights the importance of understanding and addressing the specific needs of engineering students in EMI contexts. By focusing on factors that influence lecture comprehension, we can develop more effective pedagogical strategies and training programs for both EMI lecturers and students.

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of work culture on the performance of lecturers at Poltekes Kemenkes III Jakarta. This study uses a quantitative approach through survey methods. The population sample is lecturers in four Departments of Health Polytechnic III Jakarta. This study indicates that work culture has a positive and significant influence on the performance of lecturers at Poltekkes Kemenkes III Jakarta. This is concluded because, from the hypothesis, the regression equation is obtained: Y = 50,135 + 0,753 X 1, which means the constant value is 50,135. From these equations, lecturer assignments can be predicted if the work culture values. The value of b = 0.753 means that the lecturer's task performance variable will increase by 75.3% if the work culture value increases by 1%. From the results of statistical tests, there is a significant relationship between workplace culture and the lecturer's task performance (p = 0.000). Moreover, the results of hypothesis testing show that the results of t arithmetic 4.651 are greater than t table 1.99 with a path coefficient of 0.365, stating that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted.

Abstract:
Job satisfaction and work motivation of lecturers are the two factors that influence the lecturers performance. This study aimed to analyze: (a) the effect of job satisfaction on the lecturer performance, (b) the effect of work motivation on the lecturer performance, (c) the simultaneous effect between job satisfaction and motivation on the lecturers performance. This research is a descriptive study that describing job satisfaction, motivation, and performance of the UIGM Palembanglecturers. The approach used in this study is quantitative. The population are all of lecturers at UIGM Palembang which have characteristics: (1) Permanent lecturer, (2) Stay  in Palembang, and (3) Implement Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. The sampling technique in this research is done by proportional random sampling. The entire population consist of 132 permanent lecturers spread across five faculties and one master program. The samples were taken some 40% of 132 is 52.8 rounded to 53.There are two independent variables and one dependent variable.  The independent variables that affect, include work motivation (X1) and job satisfaction (X2). The dependent variable is the variable that is affected, in this case the lecturer performance (Y). Type of instrument used to collect data from the field was in the form of a questionnaire with closed questions and readily available alternative answer used Likert Scale. For testing the validity of data was implemented the validity and reliability test. Prerequisite test analysis using multicolinierity, heteroscedasticity, normality and linearity test. Data analyst was using analysts descriptions, simple regression and multiple regression test. The calculations were using SPSS 20 windows 2007.Testing the hypothesis I resulted generate the regression equation Y = 0.901 + 0.431 X1. The regression coefficient for the variable job satisfaction was 0.431, t-test value 2.059 and p-value of 0.045. This means with 95% confidence, it can be stated that if the motivation to work held constant, job satisfaction effect on the lecturers performance significantly and positively. This shows that higher perception of lecturers satisfaction, the performance lecturers will be higher. Vice versa, the lower of the lecturer satisfaction, lecturer performance will be lower too.Testing the hypothesis II resulted in the regression equation Y = 0.901 + 0.454 X2. The regression coefficient for the work motivation variable was 0.454, t-test value 2.719 and p-value 0.009.  This means with 95% confidence, it can be stated that if the job satisfaction is considered fixed, the work motivation effect on the lecturers performance positively and significantly. This shows that the higher the perception of lecturer about work motivation, the higher of the lecturers performance. Conversely, the lower of the lecturer motivation, then the lower of performance lecturer.Based on the multiple regression analysis of the effect of job satisfaction and work motivation on lecturer performance resulted in the regression equation Y = 0.901 + 0.431 X1 + 0.454 X2 means the hypothesis that simultaneous job satisfaction and work motivation influence on the lecturers performance. The R2 = 0.236 means that the contribution of job satisfaction and motivation on the UIGM lecturer performance at 23.6%, while the remaining 66.4% influenced by other variables outside. Thus the higher motivation and lecturer job satisfaction, the lecturers performance will be higher as well, and vice versa.Improved lecturers performance can be optimized when there are salary increases, support funding in research and dedication to the community, keeping in touch, comfort, creation of healthy competition, fairly performance appraisal, giving opportunity to participate in scientific activities with financing from UIGM, and encourage lecturers to continue their education to a higher level. In addition, the lecturer needs to continue to be motivated to carry out research, and community service as their each field at a cost of foundations or grants from the Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi. Keywords : Work Motivation, Job Satisfaction, Lecturer Performance, Simple Regression Analysis, Multiple Regression Analysis.

This study aims to investigate and characterize the efforts made by lecturers to increase student engagement in online courses. This study used a case study approach to qualitative research as its methodology. The study's findings indicate that there are numerous challenges facing online lectures in the current digital era, including a dearth of engaged students, a lack of infrastructure and resources for lecturers and students, as well as network and Internet issues and data availability quotas. All of the lectures given in online classrooms by professors have an impact. The study's findings suggest that lecturers should try to be innovative and creative during the stages of preparing, implementing, and evaluating lectures online.

Abstract:
This study aims to develop a decision support system for evaluating and ranking favorite lecturers based on student preferences in higher education institutions. In the context of modern education, the role of lecturers goes beyond delivering lectures; they also serve as mentors and inspirations for students. However, the process of evaluating lecturer performance is often subjective and lacks structure, especially when it involves student preferences and perceptions of lecturers. Therefore, this study proposes the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method as a solution to this problem. By collecting data through Likert scale-based questionnaires, this research evaluates lecturer performance based on four main aspects: Pedagogical, Professionalism, Personality, and Social Interaction. Based on the calculation results using SAW, it was found that the best alternative is Alternative A2, which scored the highest total with 0.997. This indicates that lecturers associated with this alternative received high ratings in all aspects assessed by students. This conclusion provides a clear insight for educational institutions to improve educational management and enrich student learning experiences.

Abstract:
This study addresses the development of lecturers’ performance evaluation system specifically designed for applied universities. It analyzes the existing lecturer’s performance evaluation system in applied universities in Shaanxi Province and highlights several problems based on facts. The current lecturer performance evaluation system in applied universities is very similar to the system used in research universities, and it is found not suitable for the special requirements of applied universities. The indicators used in the performance evaluation system suffer from problems such as excessive quantification, imperfection, rigidity, and dogmas that lack scientific rigor in practical application. Through the literature, the study found that there are not many researches on applied universities. However, the existing research lacks the following three parts. First, there is a lack of performance evaluation policies for applied university lecturers. Second, the performance evaluation indicators are not in line with the talent training goal of applied university.
