Full textIn Sweden the latest curriculum, Lpo 94 was released in 1994. This document revolutionized the teaching profession. The school system was changed from a governmental control into a communal control. The earlier curriculums were controlled by rules; Lpo 94 is controlled by aims. This has led to a big spectrum of teaching styles which all of them agrees with the Lpo 94.
Our purpose with this report is to illustrate two different leadershipstyles regarding the subject Swedish. We also want to illustrate how the individual teacher motivates their choice of leadership.
The report takes place in three questions at issue:
· What teaching style agrees best with the Lpo 94?
· How do the two teachers understand their leadership styles?
· What are the pupils’ opinions of the leadership styles?
Our final conclusion is that the pupils prefer the traditional teacher who dictates the terms in the classroom, teaching as well as work procedures. However, the curriculum is relatively modern and the school as an institution has not been able to catch up with the Lpo 94.

Full textIn this thesis, we are concerned with smooth complex representations of the Weil group W of a non-Archimedean local field. Via the ramification filtration of W, one can attach to such a representation S an additive invariant sw(S), known as the Swan exponent. The central problem in this thesis is the following. For an n-dimensional representation S of W, we consider the composition ROS, where R denotes an algebraic representation of GL_n(C). We investigate the relations between sw(ROS) and sw(S). More precisely, we reprove certain results of Bushnell and Henniart in the case where R is the adjoint representation, only invoking Galois theory and elementary representation theory. Using similar methods, we also provide results when R is a tensor operation. Finally, we investigate the case n=2

El tiempo y el desarrollo cultural, ha logrado cimentar en las mente de las personas una tendencia del consumo responsable y amigable con su organismo, tendiendo al consumo de las bebidas no alcohólicas. Dentro de esta categoría se encuentran las Gaseosas, los néctares y jugos, las bebidas deportivas, las bebidas energéticas, el té, las aguas minerales, las aguas purificadas, aguas de glaciares, aguas de Iceberg y agua de lluvia. Durante el 2013 según ANBER, se calcula que el segmento de las aguas Premium crezca en el orden del 25 % en el mercado nacional. Se estima que Chile debería llegar a fines de 2014 a un consumo en torno a los 450 millones de litros de agua embotellada y en 2016 se alcanzaría un consumo superior a los 500 millones. Así, Chile debería en los próximos años superar los 25 a 30 litros per cápita en consumo. El siguiente estudio tiene como objetivo analizar el mercado de agua Premium Chile y posicionar el Agua Premium Ice Swan en el mercado chileno. Ice Swan es un agua de más de 40 mil años de pureza, embotellada en su fuente de origen, el glaciar Fiordo de Queulat en la incontaminada Patagonia chilena. La planta está ubicada en medio del bosque patagónico, cubierta por fuera de vidrio negro templado, que refleja el entorno y los cambios de luces del día y la noche. En el interior hay varios parlantes para envasar el agua con música clásica, de acuerdo a la teoría de Masaru Emoto, quien afirma que el agua, al tener memoria, es sensible a la belleza de los sonidos que la rodean y, por lo tanto, adquiere una composición molecular que genera bienestar y armonía, la propuesta de valor del producto. La planta embotelladora cuenta con tecnología de punta en su proceso, siempre en constante preocupación por el medio ambiente, la empresa se encuesta en constantes mejoras para disminuir su huella de carbono, es por esto que todos los componentes del producto son reciclados una vez consumidos. La ventaja competitiva de Ice Swan está en ser el agua con menor mineralidad en el mercado y por su envase ecológico y sofisticado. La botella de Ice Swan fue creada por el diseñador chileno radicado en Nueva York Sebastián Errázuriz que creó el envase de vidrio con forma de gota y una joya simulando un cisne. Mientras, Joakin Bello, conocido compositor y violinista chileno compuso una sinfonía especial llamada Ice Swan para ser tocada durante el proceso de embotellamiento del agua. La empresa es de capital chileno, donde sus cuatro socios son empresarios influentes con contactos importantes en Chile y en el mercado internacional. Es una sociedad anónima Chilena de propiedad Aguas Glaciar S.A., posee respaldo financiero, ya que está constituida con inversiones del Grupo Arcano, Inversiones Sta. Martina, Inversiones Loma Alta e Inversiones JEB. Actualmente su capital bordea los tres millones de dólares. El mercado objetivo de Ice Swan está dirigida a clientes que saben valorar productos que marcan tendencias, entregan sensación de bien estar y exclusividad. Por eso nuestros clientes se encuentran a nivel nacional y consumen agua Premium en tiendas gourmet, restaurantes y hoteles de alta categoría. Nuestro usuario final, que son las personas que compran nuestro producto en las tiendas gourmet, restaurantes y hoteles, son hombres y mujeres profesionales mayores de 25 años, con poder adquisitivo, que privilegian la exclusividad, es decir, se encuentran en busca de productos que los diferencien de los demás y en el caso de las aguas envasadas, generalmente prefieren aguas Premium. La problemática de la empresa, es que no se da a conocer en el mercado chileno, ya que la mayor parte de su producción está dirigida a exportación, donde los principales destinos son Emirados Arabes, Dubai, Estados Unidos, Alemania, Rusia, Madrid y Barcelona entre otros. El plan de marketing desarrollado tiene como objetivo aumentar la participación de mercado de Ice Swan en el mercado de agua Premium en Chile. Según el análisis de Porter y el análisis FODA definimos las estrategias a ser implementadas por Ice Swan. Las estrategias están enfocadas a un mercado objetivo exclusivo donde se espera mejorar el posicionamiento del producto a nuevos clientes. Desarrollamos el marketing mix pensando en nuestro segmento objetivo (clientes) que son los restaurantes y hoteles, y lo complementamos con un plan comunicacional dirigido a los usuarios finales, para que conozcan el agua Premium Ice Swan y así la marca pueda lograr un espacio en la mente del consumidor final para buscar por el producto y saber identificar sus calidades.

Full textSjuksköterskan behöver stärka professionens identitet och ta sin plats som ledare. Sjuksköterskans ledarroll är en av de huvudsakliga arbetsuppgifterna, för att kunna bedriva en kvalitetssäker omvårdnad. För att utöva ett gott ledarskap krävs det att sjuksköterskan innehar kunskap i ledarskap och har en god självkännedom. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa faktorer som påverkar sjuksköterskan som ledare av vård. I resultatet framkom kategorierna; Ledarskapstilar, Faktorer som påverkar ledarbeteendet, Förhållningssättets betydelse och Professionens komplexitet. Resultatet visade att transformellt och transaktionellt ledarskap har en direkt påverkan på medarbetarnas arbetstillfredsställelse och även på patienternas tillfredsställelse. Vidare visade resultatet att sjuksköterskans ledarroll är komplex. Ansvaret över kliniska och administrativa uppgifter, gjorde att det var svårt att hitta en bra balans. Även att hitta strategier för att kombinera organisationens och medarbetarnas krav visade sig var en uppgift som tog mycket kraft. Handledning var viktigt för att sjuksköterskan skulle utveckla sin ledarroll. Det framkom att det var viktigt att få utbildning inom ledarskap, men den kliniska erfarenheten var minst lika viktig. Resultatet visade att samhället inte sammankopplar sjuksköterskeprofessionen med ledarskap, därmed är det önskvärt med mer forskning som fokuserar på allmänsjuksköterskans ledarroll av vård.

Full textThe main purpose of this essay was to analyze The Swedish Armed Forces capacity asan organization to create conditions to accomplish and implement the strategically alterationof its command structure. I have therefore been studying the two latest alteration processesthat the organization has accomplished, “Command Organization 2000” and “CommandAnalysis 2002” in order to understand if, and if so in what ways the organization usesprevious knowledge in new alteration processes.The theoretical framework was built up by an overarching summary of the mostcommon issues and problems that an alteration process can encounter, in order tosubstantiate the use of John P Kotters (1996) model as a theoretical framework for the essay.Kotters model is used to analyze the problems that can appear during an alteration processand describes how to be able to prevent and/or overcome them. In order to accomplish asuccessful alteration process Kotters model presents eight steps which all ought to be carriedout. If the process fails to accomplish one of the eight steps it is likely that the process willbe unaccomplished and the purpose of the alteration will be missed. Thereby it is likely thatthe whole process has been nothing else but a waste of the organizations time and resources.Kotter also emphasize the importance of a true leadership during the alteration process andits determining factor on the process possibility to become successful. An organization thathas to much management instead of true leadership is an organization that will have anunaccomplished alteration process, as well as it is a sign that there is something very wrongwith the focus of the organization.The empirical research of the essay was based on literature research in the officialdocuments of The Swedish Armed Forces and on interviews of officers who where involvedin the analyzed processes. The purpose of the interviews was mainly to widen the empiricalmaterial in order to understand which important decisions and considerations that wheredone during the processes but never were put down on paper.The most important conclusions of my research was as follows; The Swedish ArmedForces lacks the ability as an organization to evaluate its alteration processes and transferconclusions and experiences to coming processes, the alteration process “Command Analysis2002” and its implementation was not based on any scientific basis or any theoretical model– conscious or unconscious, the fellow workers of The Swedish Armed Forces was not givenany time or ability to understand what attitude they should have towards the alterationprocess and to the changes that it resulted in. The conclusions can therefore be summarizedto the comprehensive understanding that The Swedish Armed Forces lacks the organizationalability to accomplish strategically alteration of its command structure.

Full textThis study aims to investigate how managers view their own leadership and how they feel that their leadership are affected by a crisis situation, in this case the spread of covid-19. The study also aims to highlight a gender perspective on leadership. The study's empirical material is drawn from qualitative interviews conducted with eight managers from different organizations in the trade industry. Of the eight managers, half were men and half were women. The interviewees were selected through a goal-directed selection and the interviews were conducted in a semi-structured way to allow the respondents to respond completely from their own perspectives and to have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding within the framework of our chosen phenomenon. Previous studies have shown that today's leadership can be described in countless ways and that there are many different leadership styles to adopt as leaders. Gender can also be an influencing factor in leadership because of the structures and conceptions that exist regarding the male and female gender in society. Whether leadership has been affected by crisis situations, previous research says that other expectations are set for leadership as well as the leader in these situations. Furthermore, our study also shows a distinction between leadership and leadership. It turns out that our respondents mainly use a democratic leadership style with elements of authoritarian and transformative leadership. Furthermore, it is evident that there are still notions of leadership that are linked to gender but that it is an ambivalent issue. As far as leadership in crisis is concerned, our empiricism shows that our respondents do not fundamentally change their leadership, but that there are certain re-priorities in a crisis situation like the one prevailing in our world today.2

In the present work we will study a generalization of the classical theorems of Serre and Swan. We will determine the class of ringed spaces (X;OX), so that the category of locally free sheaves of bounded rank over a topological space X is equivalent to the category of (X;OX)-modules nitely generated projective.

Full textThe responsibility of the first line managers has increased in amount over the past years. What does a manager, having this kind of position, feel is necessary when it comes to accomplish change? Are there any challenges presented to the first line manager during a change process? The purpose of this essay is to visualize first line managers experience of leading a change process. Two questions were posed; ”What do first line managers feel is important when it comes to their own leadership, to be able to achieve change?” and ”What challenges do first line managers face in a change process?”. The questions were examined by taking part of previous research, with emphasis on the evolution of authority within organizations, as well as the role first line managers take on when it comes to facilitating learning within organizations. Six semi-structured interviews were held in a government owned company with leaders having a position closest to the operational staff. The material gathered through these interviews was analyzed with the theoretical framework created for this essay as a basis. Human Relations, double loop learning and theory O formed the soft perspective in the analysis and Scientific Management, single loop learning and theory E formed the hard perspective in the analysis. The results show that the line managers often treat communications from the strategic level to the first line managers according to the soft perspective, and when it comes to communicating and implementing what has been decided on the strategic level, it often is treated according to the hard perspective.

Full textDe senaste decennierna har arbete i projektform blivet en dominerande arbetsform hos många företag. Utvecklingen inom området har tagit fart på allvar och forskningen har bidragit till effektivare arbetsätt. Denna undersökning beskriver de delarna som en projektledare bör tänka på när han leder en projektgrupp utan att själv vara fysiskt närvarande, vilka divergenser som uppstår och de grundläggande tillvägagångssätt som bör användas. Syftet med denna rapport är att undersöka vilka komplexa faktorer som föreligger i samband med koordineringen på distans och hur företag, i sitt dagliga arbete, överkommer dessa hinder. Undersökningen tar inte hänsyn till kulturella differenser, tidszonsskillnader och språkavvikelser, alla väldigt vanliga vid projektledning på distans. I den här studien har dagens forskning jämförts med arbetssättet i dagens ledande företag. Intervjuer har genomförts med Karin Johansson på Skanska CDN och Niklas Johansson på Ericsson. Deras erfarenheter har vägts mot den senaste forskningen inom området och analys samt slutsatser har dragits. Studien visar på stora skillnader då projektledaren är geografiskt skiljd från projektgruppen. Större vikt måste då läggas vid tydlighet i kommunikationen från projektledaren. Även dokumentation av den essentiella informationen i kommunikationen är viktig. Denna studie är av intresse för alla som vill öka sin förståelse för projektledning i allmänhet och projektledning på distans i synnerhet.

Full textWe have chosen to investigate how pedagogues that are working with educational drama view the artistic pedagogical perspective that Mia Marie F Sternudd describes in her thesis “Dramapedagogik som demokratisk fostran?” (2000) and what competences that is needed to lead work in drama within this perspective where the most common art form is working with theater. We also wanted to understand how active drama teachers view learning within the the artistic pedagogic perspective.We started our qualitative study with a view on the literature where the main theories are within the artistic pedagogic perspective, learning and leadership. We made a pilot study via e-mail interview to screen out 2 a base of two active drama teachers that we made in-depth interviews with to find their understanding of the perspective of artistic pedagogic drama. The answers of our e-mail survey showed that the majority of did not understand the concept of artistic pedagogic drama and could therefore not answer on their take of it. Part of the respondents had Googled the concept and found it muddled; some found it to difficult to have a take on it. We chose drama teachers for our in-depth interviews that had a fair understanding of the artistic pedagogic perspective. One works within the perspective and the other uses selected tools from the perspective but practice the art form of theater as a forum artist. We found that the view on what competences that is need to lead the work within the artistic pedagogic perspective varies. There is a partial lack of competence in form of theoretical knowledge regarding theater, tools and methods about artistic performance within the area of theater. Examples of these areas are stage techniques, scenic interpretation and role interpretation. Most drama teachers had a clear view on their leadership and the learning process. We saw that the leadership was connected to what objective they had with their teaching and in the artistic pedagogic perspective, but also what view they had on their knowledge within the art form theater. We found that a situation-based leadership that is builds on the ability of sensing the situation was an important ingredient and it would be interesting to understand how they acquire the ability to sense the situation and how they develop it. A possible development of the artistic pedagogic perspective would be that during our educational drama schooling, got more in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge about theories, methods that is necessary for working with the perspective. Full textThis research and development project seeks to provide a usable interactive graphical interface to an environment that otherwise involves primarily numerical data in a static, non-interactive format. Tools will be developed that enable users to prepare numerical data required for the SWAN refraction model and to visualize the results in an interactivie three-dimensional graphical context. SWAN (acronym for Simulating Waves Near shore) is a numerical wave model that is used to predict wave parameters according to a given set of conditions. The design of the 2-D and 3-D graphical interfaces and their impact on the system will be discussed.

Placerar man sig nära kanten kan man hakas fast och svepa med etttåg, eller tappa balansen av de vindlaster tåget medför . Det finns idag information som varnar för avstånd och passerande tåg.Trots detta finns problemet att resenärer överraskas av passerande tåg eller placerar sig nära kanten, de befintliga varningarna respekteras dåligt eller är intetillräckligt effektiva.
Eftersom varningssystem inte alltid klarar av att hålla resenärer på angivna avstånd har syftet med min uppstats varit att studera den rumsliga gestaltningen och dess betydelse för säkerheten. Avsikten har därmed varit att finna lösningar på de problemområden som mina empiriska data visat så att gestaltning och information integreras med varandra och rummet når önskad funktionalitet.

Full textCollision is one of the risks that exist for vessels traveling the seas despite the fact that there are international regulations, such as the Collision Regulations, put in place to prevent such occurrences. Through a literature study we have used the collision reports from two maritime investigation bureaus to identify which deviations from the Collision Regulations that contribute to collisions and how the deviations differ between different vessels, time of day, state of visibility and staffing on the bridge. When identifying which deviations from regulations that contributed to the collision we have used the investigation bureaus own conclusions as base. We picked two different bureaus so that we would be able to compare the results and see if there is a difference. In a majority of the collisions the colliding vessels had deviated from one or more of the Collision Regulations. The regulations that most vessels deviated from in situations that led to collisions were the regulations concerning lookout and assessment of the risk of collision. Our study show that onboard vessels the watch keeping officer should always have a lookout on the bridge and use this resource correctly. Concerning the assessment of risk of collision it is important that the watch keeping officer use his radar equipment correctly and know its limitations.

Full textToday, increased attention is paid to man’s role in organizations. Thismeans a new focus on the individual’s importance for organizations,whereof ideas about how to design, manage and lead organizations inorder to attract and retain staff are emerging. The aim of this paper is to,through a social constructionist perspective, study the phenomenonGeneration Y, how this phenomenon manifests itself as a managementidea, and what this mean for organizations. The objective also includesunderstanding how organizations can manage this management idea.The study introduces institutional theory and explains how it can help us understand forces that affect organizations to adopt ideas of change and renewal. With the help of institutional theories we also understand how organizations increases in similarity. This facilitates dissemination of ideas, but makes the organizational work of translation more difficult. To some extent, the study questions institutional theory for its understanding of organizations as passive recipients, partly by presenting an alternative argument, and partly by reasoning from the findings of the empirical study.Empirical data is collected through a focus group discussion where all participants work as managers in public organizations. This selection was made as executives is regarded to have a particular responsibility in organizational configuration. Empirical data also consists of scientific research as well as materials from consultants. The empirical data are analyzed from a hermeneutic approach with a focus on interpretation and understanding through an institutional perspective.The study shows that there is a perception of Generation Y being different from previous generations, allthough this view is problematized by both researchers and focus group participants. The phenomenon can be seen as a management idea, beacuse its universal form of an idea that explains how organizations should manage their activities. The participants describe difficulties in applying the concept in their organizational contexts. We argue that organizations can manage this management idea through good translation alternatively by organizational hypocrisy. Organizational self-confidence is seen as essential for the success of these operations.

Full textThe architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry is facing many challenges. Notleast, the focus has been on reducing time and increasing the quality of construction projects. Inaddition, there is a development within digitizing. New digital tools and building techniquesrequire new working methods and now challenge the industry that has long been considered bothconservative and characterized by low productivity.A construction project involves actors of several kinds, where clients, project managers, designmanagers and production managers are some of the most obvious roles. To meet new challenges,changes in working methods and attitudes for these positions are required. In this thesis, an indepthstudy takes place within the role of the design managers’ abilities in order to be able to leadthe design team, which also faces new digital working methods. The design process is studied asthe process where input is transformed into output during a constant flow of informationexchange, which ultimately results in a value-creating product for the client. These three conceptsare the roots within the leadership of the design management.This thesis is carried out as a qualitative study, the purpose of which is to investigate the designmanagers’ abilities to lead the design team and how the role and leadership are affected by thedigitizing with BIM and VDC. The study studies the role of design managers when it comes toleading, coordinating and managing people and information. BIM is studied as collected andshared digital information in a virtual model that can be used as a working method. VDC is beingstudied as a strategy for integrating virtual models and a working method within the designprocess which implicates facilitating and making all actors’ tasks more efficient by using BIMand following ICE.Based on the results of the study, it can be said that there are generally six different areas withabilities that a design manager should possess in order to lead the design team; 1) experience indesign or production, 2) leadership skills, social skills and engagement, 3) decision-making skills,4)generalist, 5) organized, clear and well-grounded and 6) responsive. The thesis shows thatcollaboration and interactivity are very important parts for a successful design process. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that a forum is requested where the design team can designtogether. Therefore, design managers should gather the design team to a greater extent for asuccessful design process. This thesis demonstrates that design managers are faced withchallenges to plan and manage the design process from BIM and VDC. They experience changesin roles and responsibilities and difficulties in controlling ICE meetings. Design managers need tobe “awake of new professions” and keep the design team towards the final goal instead of thedigital model.
