Det är i denna miljö som barnen tillbringar sin största tid på dagen. Här ställs stora krav på pedagogens förmåga att organisera verksamhetens innemiljö för att barnen ska få möjlighet till lek. Examensarbetets syfte är att skapa en fördjupad förståelse av vilken betydelse förskolans organisation i tid och rum har för barns möjlighet att leka och lära. Undersökningen är en kvalitativ studie bestående av observationer, foto och enkäter. Två förskolors innemiljö studerades genom en enkät till pedagoger med öppna frågor samt genom observation av innemiljön med hjälp av fotodokumentation. Sex av åtta pedagoger svarade på enkäten. Resultatet visar att förskolans organisation har betydelse för barns möjlighet till lek, det vill säga hur pedagogerna i undersökningen utformar miljön, disponerar tiden på dagen, ger barnen möjlighet att använda material och utrymme har stor betydelse. När barnen får tillgång till material och då de kan användas i sammanhang där de ”behöver” i leken och i vilka rum, så skapas goda förutsättningar för barns möjlighet att leka och lära. Av detta har vi kommit fram i vårt resultat att förskolans organisation har betydelse för barns möjlighet till lek.                       Nyckelord: Förskola, Organisation, Lek, Tid, Rum.

Abstract:
Studiens syfte är att få en förståelse för hur miljön påverkar barnen i deras lek. Vi valde att göra studien på två olika avdelningar i södra Sverige. Barnen vistas dagligen i samma rum och under samma tid och vi ville undersöka vilka lekar som blir möjliga i rummen och varför? Hur kan vi då analysera tid och rum ur ett maktperspektiv? Vilka möjligheter och hinder kan rummen då skapa? För att få svar på dessa frågeställningar använde vi oss av två metoder: intervju av pedagoger och observationer av barn i deras lek. Vårt insamlade material analyserade vi ur ett maktperspektiv. Resultat och slutsats visar att miljön inte är likvärdig på båda avdelningarna ger olika förutsättningar för barns lek. Resultatet visar även att rum och tid har makt i barnens vardag samt att makt inte är konstant utan den förflyttar sig i verksamheten. Vidare har analysen visat att rummets utformning och möblers placering antigen skapar hinder eller förutsättningar. Pedagogernas medverkan i studien skapade en helhetsbild av avdelningarnas miljö. Studien har även visat att det finns en medvetenhet hos pedagogerna kring hur miljön är och hur de vill att den ska vara. Vi hoppas studien kan vara ett diskussionsunderlag för alla som är intresserade av förskolan.

Abstract:
Examensarbetet behandlar ämnet fri lek under den fria tiden på fritidshem. Syftet med arbetet var att få mer kännedom om hur barn på två fritidshem lekte och samspelade med varandra i ett lärande, samt hur fritidspedagogerna såg och förhöll sig till barnens lek under den fria tiden. Följande frågeställningar preciserades i arbetet: Hur leker barnen på två utvalda fritidshem? Hur förhåller sig fritidspedagoger till barnens lek under den fria tiden? En nyckelforskare vi använt oss av i arbetet är Maria Øksnes (2011) som beskriver skolan som en institution där leken och barndomen är institutionaliserad i dagens samhälle. Den nyckelteori och teoretiska ram som används i arbetet är en teori av Berger och Luckmann (2010) och idén om sociala konstruktioner. Insamlingen av det empiriska materialet skedde via observationer där det observerades hur barn lekte under den fria tiden. Observationerna användes sedan till grund för gruppintervjuerna som genomfördes med fritidspedagogerna. Slutsatsen blev att barn lekte väldigt olika och att leken under den fria tiden skiljde sig åt mellan fritidshemmen. På det ena fritidshemmet lekte barnen mer fantasirikt medan barnen på det andra fritidshemmet mer engagerades av fritidspedagogen för att starta lekar. Fritidspedagogernas förhållningssätt till barnens lek var jämförelsevis lika mellan fritidshemmen. Samtliga fritidspedagoger såg ett lärande och ett kunskapsutbyte i leken under den fria tiden, något de även ansåg var positivt. Fritidspedagogerna arbetade aktivt med konflikthantering och förebyggande av utanförskap.

Abstract:
Syftet med studien är att bidra till att utveckla större förståelse kring förskollärarnas tankar om lek och lärande, på vilket sätt förskollärarna är delaktiga i barns lek och lärande samt vilken betydelse miljö och material har för barnens lek och lärande. Förskollärares arbetsuppgifter har på senare år blivit mer komplexa och tar mer tid från barngrupperna. Vårt syfte har växt fram genom att vi ser detta som ett problem eftersom det begränsar förskollärarnas tid för delaktighet i barnens lek och andra aktiviteter. Studien tar utgångspunkt i ett sociokulturellt perspektiv. För att uppnå studiens syfte och besvara frågeställningarna har vi använt oss av kvalitativ intervjumetod för insamling av empirin. Fem förskollärare från två kommunala förskolor intervjuades. Studiens resultat visar att förskollärarna anser att lek och lärande hänger ihop samt att i leken har barn möjlighet att bearbeta sina känslor och upplevelser de varit med om. Förskollärarna anser att lek med andra barn och vuxna gynnar barns lärande och allsidiga utveckling. Resultaten visar även att förskollärarna anser att det är viktigt att vuxna är närvarande och stöttar barn i deras lek och lärande samt skapar goda förutsättningar för deras lekaktiviteter. En majoritet av förskollärarna anser att miljön är en avspegling av pedagogerna samt att pedagogerna har den största betydelsen gällande miljön för barns lek och lärande.Det är viktigt att ta hjälp av barnen i utformningen av miljön för att ge dem inflytande.

This thesis deals with an evaluation of optical components for LED, which is based on laboratory measurements of available LED samples and optical elements. The evaluation is done according to established standards and is focused on efficiency and adjustment of luminous flux (beam angle, luminous curve). Furthermore was made a study engaged in an optical element influence on LED color properties (color temperature, spectral characteristics). In conclusion there is an optical elements usage overview and recommended procedure for selecting appropriate combination of LED and optical element.

Abstract:
This study addresses site-specific sculptural practice and examines the tensions arising from the interactive relations between site and the artworks that exist within it. It applies the concept of ‘anthropophagy’ to re-signify traditional models of representation in order to re-organize them into new contexts through practice-led research into site-specificity. Anthropophagy, a metaphorical vision of the Brazilian indigenous people, utilises cannibalistic customs “in order to legitimate their critical, selective and metabolising appropriation of European artistic tendencies” (Mosqueira 2010: 12). The use of this concept in this thesis arises from the idea of simultaneously belonging to two geographically separated cultural universes: one individual (in my case, Brazilian) and another related to the centralised European/US cultural model of influence that dominates the art world. The differences and intersections between these two universes provide a rich field for practice-led research into how artistic creation is affected by attitudes to space and time. In order to explore this, the thesis is divided into four chapters. The first develops a theoretical framework dealing with concepts of space and time and demonstrates how anthropophagy draws these concepts together. The next chapter examines walking in the UK as an art practice to expand the understanding of site-specific practice through the artworks of Richard Long and Hamish Fulton. The third chapter focuses on work, site and location in order to examine how anthropophagy can re-signify the idea of walking as related in Chapter two. The final chapter analyses site-specificity, drawing on my own practice-led research explored through three art projects implemented in Brazil and England. These projects develop ways to negotiate the complex relationship between art, place and temporal contexts, re-inscribing events within specific sites over time. To build a methodology for the research, I have developed three different projects and situations testing the spatial-temporal contexts of site. By using site-specific art practice I shape my arguments upon a creative practice ruled by concepts, materials and techniques. In my practice I have delineated some creative responses to the transformations of the contemporary world, weaving iii reflections between work/site/body as well as on my own perception regarding current ‘temporalities’. The theoretical frameworks that inform this study range from postmodernism to globalisation theories in order to draw together work, site and location under the overarching concept of anthropophagy.

Abstract:
Denne masteroppgaven handler om hva elever i småskolen forteller om lek i forhold til egen fritid og i undervisning på skolen. Oppgavens utgangspunkt har vært lekteori og motivasjonteori, samt ulike læreplaner med vekt på lek og læring som K’06 og L97. Det presenteres også relevante politiske dokumenter som har betydning for skolens virksomhet.Jeg valgte å fokusere på barn fra en urfolkskultur og min problemstilling for studien er: Hva forteller fire barn fra en urfolkskultur om lek, og hva de liker å leke med på de ulike arenaene de ferdes i? Studien er basert på et empirisk materiale, der datainnsamlingen er kvalitativt forskningsintervju av fire samiske elever på 3. og 4.trinn, ved samme skole. Utfra de fire intervjuene ble det utviklet to kategorier som kjennetegner barnas synspunkter om lek på fritiden og på skolen. De to kategoriene er: Det elevene forteller om sin lek på fritiden og i friminuttene og Det elevene forteller om lek i skolens undervisning. Den første kategorien i undersøkelsen viser at elevene er engasjerte i sin fritid, de liker å oppleve å uttrykke seg gjennom bevegelse. Den andre kategorien viser at noen av elevene har erfart lek eller spill i skolens undervisning. Konklusjonen av denne studien er at barna liker å leke både i friminuttene og hjemme, og de vil gjerne erfare lek eller aktiviteter i undervisningen på skolen. Implikasjoner av studien er at lek kan med fordel trekkes mer inn i undervisning i småskolen.

Abstract:
Playing and socializing is of great importance for children's fellowship, participation and inclusion in preschool. Research show that children in need of special education are at risk of exclusion from playing and socializing with other children for various reasons. This study takes a qualitative approach aimed at describing and analyzing the Play Time/Social Time (PT/ST) program and its utility in the inclusive milieu of the Swedish preschools.  The PT/ST program strives to give each and every child the opportunity to develop the skills needed for social interplay in order to create a positive experience that can contribute to increased participation and inclusion for all. Data was collected from five semistructured interviews with a preschool teacher as well as observations from two lessons and two activities from the program PT/ST, all of which were supervised by the same teacher and involved four children. The analysis takes its inspiration from phenomenology, which seeks to find the units of purpose and meaning within the studied phenomenon. We explore the meeting between, and utility of, the PT/ST program with regards to the Swedish preschool system. The interrogated preschool teacher holds the learning of social interplay and social competence to be the most significant lesson the preschool can impart on young children, and that PT/ST could be useful towards this end. It could also create a unified approach towards giving all children equal opportunity for participation. The conclusion we draw is that the intentions of the preschool teacher will matter greatly for how they assess and work with the interplay and socializing between children. The PT/ST program will not alone guarantee any increased social competence, but could create the conditions and opportunities for each and every child to gain the experience and knowledge of social interplay through playtime in an inclusive preschool setting.
Lek och samspel har en mycket stor betydelse för barns gemenskap, delaktighet och inkludering i förskolan. Forskning visar att barn i behov av särskilt stöd av olika anledningar kan riskera att inte bli delaktiga i lek och samspel med andra barn. Denna studie har en kvalitativ forskningsansats där syftet med studien har varit att beskriva och analysera programmet PlayTime/Social Time (PT/ST) och dess användbarhet i den svenska inkluderande förskolemiljön. Programmet PT/ST syftar till att ge alla barn och varje barn möjlighet att utveckla samspelsfärdigheter. Detta för att ge positiva erfarenheter av gemensam lek och social samvaro för alla barn och varje barn, vilket därmed kan bidra till ökad delaktighet och inkludering för barn i förskolan. Empirin samlades in genom fem semistrukturerade intervjuer med en förskollärare, samt observationer där förskolläraren genomförde två samlingar och två arrangerade lekstunder ur programmet PT/ST. Vid observationerna deltog fyra barn. Analysarbetet har inspirerats av fenomenologin, vilken syftar till att finna de studerade fenomenens meningsbärande enheter. Studiens resultat belyser programmet PT/STs möte med och användbarhet i svensk förskola. Resultatet visade att förskolläraren anser att arbetet med barns sociala samspel och att utveckla barns sociala kompetens är förskolans viktigaste uppgift, och i detta arbete skulle PT/ST kunna vara användbart för att ge barn erfarenheter och kunnande av samspelsfärdigheter. Resultatet visar även att programmet PT/ST skulle kunna vara användbart i syfte att skapa ett gemensamt förhållningssätt i barngruppen om alla barn får möjlighet att delta. Studiens slutsats är att förskollärares intentioner har stor betydelse för hur de värderar och arbetar med barns lek och samspel. Att förskolor arbetar utifrån programmet PT/ST, är ingen garanti för att barnen blir mer socialt kompetenta, men det kan skapa förutsättningar och ge möjligheter för alla barn och varje barn att få erfarenheter och kunnande i samspelsfärdigheter och gemensam lek i inkluderande förskolemiljöer.

Abstract:
Cerebrovascular accidents (CVAs) are identified as the principal cause of long-term severe disability in the United States (American Heart Association, 2012). Cerebrovascular accidents (CVAs) are the fourth leading cause of mortality in the United States (Minino, Murphy, Xu & Kochanek, 2011). Small towns and rural areas are currently in a health care crisis. With most subspecialty services located in metropolitan areas, distance and lack of accessibility creates disparity in evidence-based practice implementation. The growing gap between the health of rural and urban Americans is evident and will widen without proper interjection (Alkadry, Wilson, & Nicholas, 2006; Brown, Lisabeth, Roychoudhury, Ye, & Morgenstern, 2005; Sacco et. al, 2006). While there have been significant recent advances to support patients during the acute phase of a stroke in Montana, guidance for primary care providers and patients is currently limited for secondary stroke prevention services in the state, including Northwest Montana. Current morbidity and mortality data due to stroke in rural northwestern Montana may reflect a gap between existing guidelines for secondary risk reduction and the current practice of instituting those prevention guidelines. Effective secondary stroke prevention strategies are those that are based on a model of care that is evidenced based, feasible, and meets the unique needs of the population. A qualitative descriptive design was used to achieve the AIMS of this study. A critical analysis of the literature was used (AIM 1) to identify previously published information related to TIA/stroke clinics and programs. Focus groups were used (AIM 2) to elicit information from health care professionals in northwestern Montana about the need for and preferences for an advanced practice nurse-run stroke/TIA clinic. We found that like other reports from rural sectors, Primary Care Providers and Neurology providers in Northwest rural Montana identified challenges in access to care and cultural influences on patient adherence. It was evident that Primary Care Providers and Neurology providers were in favor of instituting a Nurse Practitioner-led secondary prevention program for stroke and TIA. We propose a stroke/TIA program to serve Northwest rural Montana that includes Nurse Practitioner-led transitional care services, care coordination, and education and program evaluation services.

Abstract:
Syftet med vår undersökning var att studera barns sociala värld under skolrasten. Detta gjorde vi genom att observera och intervjua åtta barn från en andra/tredjeklass, vi intervjuade även klassens pedagog. Vi har använt oss av kvalitativa intervjuer och ostrukturerade observationer. Tidigare forskning kring valt område visar att det är viktigt att få vara den del av gemenskapen och att mycket av barnens tid går åt till att skapa och underhålla relationer. Det är även viktigt att skolgårdsmiljön är varierad och inspirerande och att barnen leker på olika sätt i olika miljöer. I denna ålder umgås barn företrädesvis med andra av samma kön men det är acceptabelt att umgås över könsgränserna då man har ett gemensamt intresse. Denna undersökning visar hur barn i en andra/tredjeklass upplever skolrastens funktion, sociala värld och lek. Barnen har skapat en trygghet inom klassens gemenskap och detta har lett till att övergången mellan två olika skolgårdar upplevts som mestadels positiv. Vi kunde se skillnader mellan pojkars och flickors lek. Bollsporter var de mest populära aktiviteterna bland pojkarna medan flickorna rörde sig lite friare mellan skolgårdens alla aktiviteter. Studien visar att barnen skapade kompisrelationer efter olika kriterier, flickorna lekte oftast i små slutna grupper till exempel parvis medan pojkarna lekte i större och öppnare grupper. Pojkarna uppgav att det var deras gemensamma intressen som styrde kompisvalet medan flickornas kompisval utgjordes av att de hade känt varandra länge. Alla barnen var nöjda med de två olika skolgårdarna.

Abstract:
Detta utvecklingsarbete har för avsikt att introducera och inspirera till lek och fysisk aktivitet genom organiserade aktiviteter. För att utveckla barnens fritid och ge möjlighet till lärande och lek introduceras aktiviteter som barnen senare kan genomföra på egen hand. Utvecklingsarbetet har genomförts på ett barnhem, som också är en skola i Uganda. Idén till detta utvecklingsarbete uppstod efter observation av att barnhemmet saknade föremål, struktur och organisation för barnens fria tid. Efter samtal med rektorn på barnhemmet fick vi godkännande till utvecklingsarbetet. Projektet genomfördes på skolgården och en gräsplan utanför skolans område, då området utanför skolan bidrog till större spelyta för vissa av aktiviteterna. Genom att organisera och planera aktiviteter på barnhemmet var tanken att öka barnens intresse för lek, rörelse och fysisk aktivitet vilket i sin tur bidrog till att öka barnens utvecklingsmöjligheter. Under vistelsen skedde vissa förbättringar som gynnade barnen och deras fritid. De introducerades för lekar och aktiviteter som de uppskattade och fick mer tid till lek och spel. Ett oväntat resultat var att personalen på skolan införde lektioner i Idrott och hälsa under skoltid.

Informationen stellen den zentralen Produktionsfaktor in der gesamten touristischen Wertschöpfungskette dar. Daher nehmen Informations- und Kommunikations-Technologien schon sehr lange eine zentrale Rolle in der Tourismusindustrie ein (z.B. Global Distribution Systems). Durch die Leistungssteigerung von IuK Systemen und der Entwicklung des Internets haben sich neue ökonomischen Gesetzmäßigkeiten entwickelt (z.B. Long Tail), die sich durch die Digitalisierung von Informationen und damit in geringen Produktions- und Distributionskosten darstellen. Mit den Möglichkeiten selbst Informationen zu produzieren und veröffentlichen, sind in den letzten Jahren auch die Kunden Teil der Wertschöpfungskette geworden. Durch die Immaterialität und Emotionalität von Reisen kombiniert mit der anonymen Transaktionssituation im Internet, wird Bewertungen, Fotos und Kommentaren anderer Nutzer ein größeres Vertrauen entgegengebracht, als den Informationen der Anbieter. Vertrauen aufzubauen und langfristig zu erhalten, ist daher für Reiseanbieter ein wesentlicher Erfolgsfaktor und zentrale Aufgabe. Bei einem Umsatzvolumen von 22 – 30 Milliarden des deutschen organisierten Reisemarktes geht man im Jahr 2010 von einem online generierten Umsatzanteil von 40% [siehe Tabelle 3 und Tabelle 4] aus, der weiter steigt. Die traditionelle touristische Wertschöpfungskette ist aufgebrochen, da jede Teilbranche mit den Kunden im Internet vernetzt sein kann und zusätzlich neue Anbieter mit technischem Hintergrund in den Markt drängen. So kann die neue Wertschöpfungsstruktur als Matrix aufgefasst werden. Damit werden die klassischen Rollen von Produzenten, Leistungsträger und Intermediären grundlegend in Frage gestellt. Die technische Entwicklung einerseits und die Generationsentwicklung (Digital Natives) andererseits verändern die Reisebranche grundlegend. In Fokusgruppeninterviews mit Digital Natives analysiert die vorliegende Untersuchung, wie wichtig für die Generation von morgen die Kommunikation für die Aktionsbereitschaft in ihrem wahrgenommenen Spannungsfeld von Möglichkeiten und Risiken im Internet ist. In der Hauptstudie, dem Experten-Delphi, nahmen 37 Teilnehmer aus allen Teilbranchen der touristischen Wertschöpfungskette zu 24 Thesen aus drei entwicklungsrelevanten Themenbereichen Stellung. Während der Internetzugang und die aktive Nutzung für die Experten ein Generationsthema ist, das sich zunehmend auflöst, sehen die Experten mehrheitlich, dass das Netz, auch über mobile Endgeräte, das Leitmedium für die Zukunft darstellt. Die Folge daraus sind Einflüsse auf die Marktstrukturen, die einerseits in einer Fragmentierung und andererseits in einer starken Konzentration gesehen werden. Die Veränderung und Entwicklung der Reiseindustrie definiert sich, laut den befragten Experten, in den Datenstrukturen. Die Möglichkeiten, Angebote im Netz flexibel darzustellen, diese zu vernetzen und auffindbar zu machen, ist aus ihrer Sicht der essenzielle Erfolgsfaktor für die Marktteilnehmer. Die Datenstrukturen und die Datenqualität bestimmen aus Expertensicht die Zukunft für die Branche, da sie auch Glaubwürdigkeit und Vertrauen in die Anbieter und Produkte herstellen können. Eine Folge aus der Technisierung ist die vielfach angesprochene fehlende Bildung und Ausbildung angehender Touristiker in Bezug auf die Technologie und Anwendung der Systeme.

Abstract:
UV and deep-UV emitters based on AlGaN/AlN heterostructures are very inefficient due to the high lattice mismatch of these films with sapphire substrates, leading to high dislocation densities. This thesis describes the characterisation of the nanostructures of a range of UV structures, including c-plane (polar) AlGaN epilayers grown on AlN template, and nonpolar GaN/AlGaN MQWs grown on a-plane GaN template. The results are based primarily on transmission electron microscopy (TEM), cathodoluminescence in the scanning electron microscope (SEM-CL), high-resolution X-ray diffraction (HRXRD) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) measurements. The structural and optical properties of various types of defect were examined in the c-plane AlGaN epilayers. Strain analysis based on in-situ wafer curvature measurements was employed to describe the strain relief mechanisms for different AlGaN compositions and to correlate the strain to each type of defect observed in the epilayers. This is followed by the investigation of AlN template growth optimisation, based on the TMA pre-dose on sapphire method to enhance the quality and the surface morphology of the template further. The initial growth conditions were shown to be critical for the final AlN film morphology. A higher TMA pre-dose has been shown to enable a better Al coverage leading to a fully coalesced AlN film at 1 μm thickness. An atomically smooth surface of the template was achieved over a large 10 x 10 μm AFM scale. Finally, the investigation of UV emitters based on nonpolar crystal orientations is presented. The SiNx interlayer was able to reduce the threading dislocation density but was also found to generate voids with longer SiNx growth time. The relationship between voids, threading dislocations, inversion domain boundaries and their associated V-defects and the variation in MQW growth rate has been discussed in detail.

Abstract:
Fluorescence technologies have only begun exploiting the transient recording of lifetime-based signals and images for low nanosecond lifetimes, but the method has tremendous potential for scientific and medical applications. Low nanosecond lifetime recording in real-time can enable the tracking of metabolite concentrations in cells and tissues (e.g. cancerous tissues) without introducing foreign substances. It will also enable the tracking of reactive species (e.g. ozone) and intermediate/short-lived states in chemical reactions in the atmosphere. Current techniques all employ laser excitation, but LEDs can also be used which cause considerably less damage to live tissue. We have developed a high speed fluorescence prototype using high intensity LED pulses and novel PMT gating technology. Precision timing circuitry generates tunable width pulse signals which are driven through the LED using a comparator-based push-pull architecture. The timing circuitry also generates PMT gating pulses which are applied to the dynode chain via high voltage operational amplifiers. LED pulses with fall times (99%) as short as 2ns and PMT gating times (10% to 90%) of 3.6ns have been achieved. The prototype has been used to successfully measure the fluorescent lifetimes of Alexa Fluor 610X dye (1.7ns and 4.7ns) and riboflavin (4.5ns). Lifetimes of acridine orange were measured as follows: alone (2ns), in solution with ssDNA (3.7ns), in solution with dsDNA (5.8ns), and in solution with dsRNA (5.9ns). Finally, dsRNA was heated and allowed to cool revealing lifetimes that started at 3.7ns when hot and increased to nearly 5ns when cool.

Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka hur utomhusleken har tagit plats i lekläroböcker mellan år 1990 och 2020. Studien har sin koppling till fritidshemmet då lekläroböcker har samma åldersspann som fritidshemmet. Studien är grundad i kvalitativ forskningsmetod där vi använt oss av dokumentanalys som metod för insamling av empirin. Det empiriska materialet har vi sedan valt att tolka och analysera utifrån Øksnes (2011) tolkning av den karnevalistiska lekteorin. Resultatet av studien är att leken sker både inomhus och utomhus i olika konstellationer. Leken styrs av olika personer, allt från barn/eleverna själva till skolpersonal och föräldrar. Det finns olika syn på lek, vissa böcker ser lek som ett verktyg, andra som nöje och vissa nämner inget om detta. De olika böckerna har olika perspektiv på deltagarantal, där de olika böckerna benämner grupplek, parlek och ensamlek. Lekläroböckerna beskriver lek som kultur, lek som någonting gammalt eller benämns inte det. Studien avslutas med en diskussionsdel där resultatet sätts i relation till tidigare forskning.
The purpose of this degree paper is to study how outside play has been described in play-educational books between the years 1990 and 2020. The study has a connection to leisure-time centers because the play-educational books have the same age span as the leisure-time centers. The study is based on a qualitative research method as we have used document analysis as our method for gathering empirics. We have chosen to interpret and analyze the empirical material based on Øksnes (2011) interpretation of the carnival play theory. The results of the study are that play may occur both inside and outside in different constellations. The play is controlled by different people, from children/pupils themselves to school personnel and parents. There exist different views of play, some books view play as a tool, others as pleasure and some don't mention it at all. The books have different perspectives on the number of the participants, where the different books mention group play, pair play, or playing alone. The play- educational books describe play as culture, play as something ancient or doesn't mention it. The study is concluded by a discussion where the results are placed in relation to earlier research.

A small sized and efficient method to power RGB LEDs for use as backlights in flat panel displays is explored in this thesis. The proposed method is to drive a parallel switched connection of LEDs with a single Average Mode Controlled buck regulator.Specifications for the switching regulator and control circuitry are described. The application circuit demonstrates current settling times between 7[mu]s and 30[mu]s at a switching frequency of 290kHz. Current settling is improved at higher switching frequencies, with settling times approaching a 2[mu]s to 4[mu]s range at 1MHz switching.

På förskolan skapar barnen kamratskap och lär sig upptäcka världen på ett naturligt sätt genom leken. Men det är inte bara barn på förskolan. Barnen delar arenan med vuxna, pedagoger, som har en avgörande roll för att skapa utrymme för barnens lekar. Då är det oundvikligt att visa intresse för på vilket sätt pedagogerna påverkar barnens lek, samt vad det är som styr barnens möjligheter till lek.   Den här studiens huvudsyfte är att belysa hur pedagogens förhållningssätt och miljön, i form av tid och rum, påverkar barns möjlighet till lek. Studien tar upp pedagogens barn- och leksyn utifrån ett maktperspektiv. Den fysiska miljön liksom tid för lek undersöks.   Undersökningen genomförs på fyra olika förskolor. Lekflöde, pedagoger och barn i olika åldrar observeras på respektive avdelning under en dag med hjälp av löpande protokoll. En förskollärare från avdelningen där observationen genomförs intervjuas i direkt anslutning till observationen.   Även om många pedagoger anser att leken är viktig prioriteras ändå rutinsituationer och schemalagda aktiviteter. Studiens resultat visar hur stor makt pedagogerna egentligen har och hur viktigt det är veta vad det är pedagogen gör med makten.

Progress in development of modern LEDs, their long lifetime and high luminous efficacy predetermine them for usage in lighting systems. This master's thesis examines possibilities of application of LEDs in luminaires, parameters of diodes and problems, which can appear in construction of luminaire with LED lighting source. In the practical part of this thesis a luminaire is designed, capable of illuminating traffic signs, vertical surfaces, billboards and fasades. By standards required parameters of a lighting system and adaptability of application must be considered in complex predesign. Simulations of lighting scene, created in special computer software, measurements of optical point’s parameters and construction of real luminaire model using high quality CREE LEDs, are included in analysis of the problem. Parameters of the luminaire were proved by measurements of product’s attributes at light laboratory. There are also some suggestions for improvement and further development of the product.

This thesis explores the intersections of a Black Power leisure identity, real property ownership, the progression of economic agency and land development through the example of Black resorts, focusing on Azurest North, a summer community in Sag Harbor, New York developed in the 1950s by Azurest Syndicate Incorporated. The project traces the history of real estate syndicates during the mid-twentieth century as a way to circumvent the practices of Jim Crow housing discrimination. Independent mortgage financing and land development especially in the field of resort housing, also points to the emergence of what I call a Black Power leisure identity. This study also seeks to determine how the American pursuit of leisure during the twentieth century forged identity and how real estate property ownership has been used to maintain and secure community and individual identity.

Uppsatsen handlar om den fria leken i förskoleklassen och hur mycket tidsutrymme den har där. Studien skildrar vilken betydelse lekmaterialet och den fysiska miljön har för att den fria leken ska infinna sig. Studien skildrar även om förskoleklassens placering i förhållande till skola och förskola påverkar den tid som ägnas åt fri lek samt vilka tankar pedagogerna i förskoleklasserna har kring den fria leken och dess förutsättningar. Observationer och intervjuer genomfördes med pedagoger från tre olika förskoleklasser och skolor.

Resultatet visar att den tid som ägnas till fri lek varierade mellan förskoleklasserna och att lekmaterialet och miljön har viss betydelse för att den fria leken ska infinna sig. Förskoleklasserna som befinner sig inom skolans lokaler är mer skolinriktade och styrda av skolans mål än de som ligger utanför som är mer förskoleinriktade. Det visade sig även att pedagogen har en betydande roll för den fria leken. I diskussionen ställer vi oss frågan om förskoleklassen borde ha en egen läroplan.


The essay is about the free play in preschool classes and how much time the pupils have for free play. The study investigates if the play material and the environment affects the time that is given for free play. The study also describes if the location of the preschool classes, in relation to preschool and school has any importance for the time that is given to the pupils for free play, and which thoughts the teachers in the preschool classes has about free play and its conditions. Observations and interviews were conducted with teachers from three different preschools.

The results shows that the time given to free play varied between the three preschool classes and that the play material and environment had some importance for the existence of the free play. The preschool classes that are situated in the school buildings are more influenced by the school and their goals, while the preschool classes that lies outside the school buildings are more like preschools. The study also shows that the teacher has a significant part for the free play. In the discussion, we ask the question, if preshool classes should have a curriculum of their own.

The Therapeutic Cycles Model or TCM (Mergenthaler, 1996) is a method of texts analysis by computer that identifies the key-moments in the speech of a patient, the therapist, or both of them interacting. Due to the specific characteristics of communication among adolescents in conflict with the law, concerning the use of slang expressions and unusual verbal sentences; an adaptation of the narrative styles dictionary which is being developed for the Portuguese language is required to use this instrument with this public. Aim - To develop a customized dictionary for TCM to adolescents assisted by a community educational program in Campinas, Brazil. Methods - The same process that has already been applied to develop other standardized dictionaries was adopted: 1. Emotion-abstraction lists of words will be compiled from transcripts of interviews with teenagers and the rap lyrics of songs; 2. The lists of words were classified according to the following categories: positive emotion (1); negative emotion (2); abstraction (3); both, positive and abstraction (4); both, negative and abstraction (5). Four judges assed independently the words in question and reached a degree of agreement among j them. Results: The results suggest that the standard dictionary of the program is able to identify important emotional themes, but the development of custom dictionaries is a relevant contribution to the identification of clinically significant moments of the speech of adolescents in conflict with the law.

This thesis presents a Model-Driven and Aspect-Oriented approach to tame the complexity of Dynamically Adaptive Systems (DAS). At design-time, we capture the different facets of a DAS (variability, environment/context, reasoning and architecture) using dedicated metamodels. Each feature of the variability model describing a DAS is refined into an aspect model. We leverage these design models at runtime to drive the dynamic adaptation process. Both the running system and its execution context are abstracted as models. Depending on the current context (model) a reasoner interprets the reasoning model to determine a well fitted selection of features. We then use Aspect-Oriented Modeling techniques to compose the aspect models (associated to the selected features) to derive the corresponding architecture. This way, there is no need to specify the whole set of possible configurations at design-time: each configuration is automatically built when needed. We finally rely on model comparison to fully automate the reconfiguration process in order to adapt the running system, with no need to write low-level reconfiguration scripts
Cette thèse présente une approche dirigée par les modèles et basée sur la modélisation par aspects pour maitriser la complexité de systèmes logiciels adaptatifs (SA). Lors de la conception, les différentes facettes d’un SA (variabilité, environnement/contexte, raisonnement et architecture) sont capturées à l’aide de différents méta-modèles dédiés. En particuliers, les variantes de chaque point de variation sont raffinées à l’aide d’aspect (niveau model). Ces modèles sont embarqués à l’exécution pour contrôler et automatiser le mécanisme de reconfiguration. Selon le contexte courant un composant de raisonnement détermine un ensemble de variantes bien adaptées au contexte. Nous utilisons ensuite un tisseur d’aspects pour dériver automatiquement l’architecture correspondante à cette sélection de variantes. Ainsi, les concepteurs du SA n’ont pas besoin de spécifier toutes les configurations : au contraire, chaque configuration est dérivée lorsqu’il y en a besoin. Nous utilisons finalement une comparaison de modèle pour automatiser entièrement le processus de reconfiguration, sans devoir écrire des scripts de reconfiguration de bas niveau

Abstract:
The multidisciplinary approach I’ve adopted looks to use both critical and practice-led research in order to open up new space between the broader literary and cultural registers of the Great War alongside those of the 21st century. At its core is a desire to exert some pressure upon notions of an “appropriate” linguistic register for the imaginative commemoration of a century-old war that has grown to represent a core mythology for subsequent poetic constructions of modern warfare. The resulting poetry collection, Ghosts of the Vortex, seeks then, to create a transitional idiolect of commemoration more suited to our times. In order to achieve this, I adopt a number of approaches that might be characterized as manifestations of a “neo-modernism”. These include self-translation/ transposition, palimpsest, the use of reconfigured quotation, the poetic re-writing of literary criticism and an extension of the license for a self-conscious use of anachronism suggested by Geoffrey Hill in Mercian Hymns. Alongside this, the critical chapters reflect some of the key concerns of the poetry and share its desire to find new ways of scrutinising Great War poetry in the light of all that has already been written. Chapter 1 revisits a foundational critical text – Jon Silkin’s Out of Battle – and mimics his close reading style to examine a compositional tic identified by him as being typical of much trench poetry. Chapter 2 revisits the Great War canon on the basis of the atypical circumstantial nature of its composition, using the theoretical model of Bakhtin’s chronotope to do so. The third chapter is an exercise in reception studies, examining noteworthy poetic responses to the fiftieth anniversary of the Great War and the final chapter examines the contested nature of Irish involvement in the conflict through its nuanced manifestations in the work of Seamus Heaney.

This thesis has as its research subject the Act nº 11.738-2008 that establishes the Brazilian public schools teachers PSPN - National Professional Minimum Wage from basic education, which is the result of these teachers political struggle along history. This Act also regulates the pedagogical time, which is the time spent in the classroom and the complementary time, the time needed to, among other things, prepare the classes, and it values the career. This study, developed throughout the Doctorate in Education (2012 to 2015), investigates the set of contradictions in the PSPN Act. It has as its main goal to verify if this Act is bringing more acknowledgement to the teachers who work in the public municipal schools located on the Territorio do SertãoProdutivo da Bahia - Bahia s Productive Inland Territory, and if it s improving their work condition and life quality. As specific goal we look for the comprehension of concepts like time, wage, remuneration, surplus value, immaterial work and unproductive work. These are basic elements to the comprehension of both the disclosed subject and phenomenon. And also to know the daily work of the teachers who work in the 5º year of the elementary school, while observing the implications of the Act nº 11.738-2008 concerning time and wage, showing the struggle of this teachers trough their Labor Unions. The daily work that was changed because of the increasing new requirements has been bringing the intensification of the work conditions and making them precarious. The adoption of neo-liberal policies kept the people of this occupation form fighting for deserving conditions of work and wage. The reality reading took as its theoretical basis the historical and dialectic materialism and the methodological categories of contradiction, totality and mediation. The content categories of wage and timeshift were analyzed historically within a non-linear logic and made it possible to organize conceptually time as social relation in its various cycles. The field research, that was done in the Território do Sertão Produtivo da Bahia (Bahia s Productive Inland Territory) had as its individuals Syndicate directors, municipal secretaries of education and teachers of the 5º year of the Elementary School. Semi-structured inquiries and interviews have been used as well as document analysis to put the study in a context. Dialogues with the following authors have been established: Bernardo (1985, 1987, 1989, 1993), Bruno (1996, 2011), Lombardi (2011), Marx & Engels (1982, 1996), Saviani (2005, 2013) and Silveira (2012, 2014), among others. Trough the intermediary of the adopted procedures in the data analysis, we conclude historical struggle between capital and work remains in evidence, due to its re-structuration by the capital, present in municipal school organization, trough the precarious outsourcing work, specially the teachers which is now named hourly worker or teaching assistant, adjunct or substitue. As for the usage of the time- the profile that prevails among the surveyed teachers is the one of a woman, mixed-race, aging between 34 to 50 years, married, they have two children at average, most of them are religious and wake up between 5 and 6 a.m. These teachers use the time in a very similar way, they work both in education and homemaking at their own houses. They believe that with their work they contribute to the improvement of society. The 1-3 time is not enough to develop their work that are assistant to the teaching in class, and necessary to the development of his or her occupation, they still use their payed resting days to do this kind of work. The retirement pension is one of the main problems to be solved, because teachers do not receive the minimum wage. The surveyed individuals think that it has been improvements in it, but it is far from the ideal.
A presente tese tem como objeto a Lei n.º 11.738-2008, que instituiu o Piso Salarial Profissional Nacional (PSPN) para os profissionais do magistério público da educação básica, resultado da constante luta dos professores ao longo da história. Essa lei também regula o tempo de trabalho pedagógico em sala de aula e de atividades complementares à docência e valoriza a carreira. O estudo, desenvolvido no decurso do Doutorado em Educação (2012 a 2015), investiga o conjunto das contradições presentes na Lei do PSPN, tendo como objetivo geral verificar se sua implementação está proporcionando mais reconhecimento profissional, e melhores condições de trabalho aos professores da educação básica, que atuam na Rede Pública Municipal no Território do Sertão Produtivo na Bahia. Como objetivo específico, buscamos compreender os conceitos de tempo, salário, remuneração, mais-valia, trabalho imaterial e trabalho improdutivo. Esses elementos são fundantes para a compreensão do objeto e do fenômeno desvendado e para o conhecimento do cotidiano dos professores que atuam no 5º ano do Ensino Fundamental, observando as implicações da Lei n.o 11.738-2008 no que diz respeito ao tempo e ao salário, dando visibilidade à luta desses professores por meio de seus sindicatos. O cotidiano, modificado com o aumento de novas exigências tem levado à intensificação e à precarização das condições de trabalho do professor, e a adoção das políticas neoliberais impeliu a categoria a lutar por condições dignas de trabalho e salário. A leitura da realidade tomou como base teórica o materialismo histórico dialético e as categorias metodológicas da contradição, da totalidade e da mediação. As categorias de conteúdo salário e tempo-jornada de trabalho foram analisadas historicamente dentro de uma lógica não linear e possibilitaram organizar, conceitualmente, o tempo como relação social em seus diversos períodos. A pesquisa de campo, realizada no Território do Sertão Produtivo, na Bahia, teve como sujeitos diretores sindicais, secretários municipais de educação e professores do 5º ano do Ensino Fundamental. Utilizaram-se questionários e entrevistas semiestruturadas, bem como análises de documentos para contextualizar e caracterizar o estudo. Estabeleceu-se o diálogo com autores diversos, dentre os quais Bernardo (1985, 1987, 1989, 1993), Bruno (1996, 2011), Lombardi (2011), Marx e Engels (1982, 1996), Saviani (2005, 2013) e Silveira (2012, 2014). Por intermédio dos procedimentos adotados na análise dos dados constatamos que, a histórica luta entre o capital e o trabalho permanece em evidência com a sua reestruturação promovida pelo capital, presente na organização escolar municipal, por meio do trabalho terceirizado e precarizado, principalmente o do professor que passa a ser denominado de horista, auxiliar de ensino, adjunto, substituto. Quanto ao uso do tempo, o perfil que prevalece dos professores pesquisados é retratado por mulheres, pardas, com idade entre 34 a 50 anos, casadas, mães de dois filhos em média, cultivam a religiosidade e acordam entre 5 a 6 horas da manhã. Essas professoras utilizam o tempo de forma bastante parecida, trabalham na educação e em casa realizando atividades domésticas correntes e administrativas. São convictas de que com o seu trabalho contribuem para melhoria da sociedade. O tempo de 1-3 não é suficiente para desenvolverem as atividades extraclasses necessárias ao bom desempenho da função; ainda utilizam os dias destinados ao descanso remunerado para realizarem os trabalhos escolares. A aposentadoria constitui um dos principais problemas a ser enfrentado, pois os professores não recebem o piso salarial. Os sujeitos pesquisados entendem que houve melhoras, que conseguiram avançar, mas ainda estão longe do ideal.

Fredrik Ole Lillemyr (2002) hävdar att leken har en rad olika funktioner för barn, exempelvis att den är en förberedelse inför vuxenlivet där de bland annat lär sig att hantera sociala situationer samt hur emotionella situationer kan hanteras. Under leken tränar och övar barn bland annat på sin sociala kompetens och kommunikativa förmåga (Lillemyr 2002). Begreppet lek kan förklaras genom otaliga teorier, bland annat att lek enbart är en handling eller att lek är ett verktyg för lärande. Leken kan vara styrd eller fri och upplevs olika beroende på vem som medverkar i den (Pramling Samuelsson 2007; Knutsdotter 1987, 1991, 1992, 1996, 2009; Øksnes 2011). Examensarbetets syfte är att undersöka fritidspedagogers syn på lek samt att lyfta fram vad leken kan anses ha för funktion inom fritidshemmets ramar. I min studie valde jag att använda mig av kvalitativa intervjuer där tolv pedagoger på ett fritidshem i Skåne medverkade. Resultatet visar att de intervjuade pedagogerna har en positiv syn på lek i fritidshemmet samt att pedagogerna anser att leken påverkar barnen positivt i relation till deras utveckling och lärande. Pedagogerna anser att leken har en viktig roll för barns lärande.

Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird is an iconic classic that inspired many street lawyer novels. Examining John Grisham’s A Time To Kill as a low-culture-imprint of Lee’s novel, the thesis analyzes the convergent and divergent points of rhetorical devices that promote colour-blind liberalism across the two texts seeing as they are published 30 years apart. Both pieces of legal fiction act as a reflection and critique of formal legal institutions and through this reflection, the thesis deals with how the texts reinforce, perpetuate and resist the white dominant ideology through the “progressive” race politics of colorblind liberalism.

Considering the ecological crisis and the increased disconnection between human beings and nature, this study attempts to find the social and aesthetic educational response needed for developing ecological citizenship for the 21st century. In this transdisciplinary study I articulate what at first seems a clumsy attempt to enable the capacities of the embodied ecological citizen, and which later emerges as an alchemical ‘social sculpture’ approach to learning that expands the range of capacities available to the citizen and the citizen’s immediate community. This learning bridges the gap between purely biocentric and technocentric forms of education, and addresses the ambiguity of concepts and forms of action such as ‘sustainability’. My primary focus is enabling both communal and personal forms of agency: new ways of 'doing’ and 'being' in the world as it changes radically. I argue that this demands constantly reflecting on and engaging without understanding, place and perception of the problems we see. Attending to a call for the importance of complex learning processes, that deepens our understanding of sustainability, and the need for methodological and pedagogical approaches to accessible forms of learning socially in the era of climate change and environmental degradation, this study offers a particular insight into the education of an ecological citizen. In particular I examine a form of learning that enables individuals to explore relationships between themselves and their ecologies (both physical and social), and that encourages personal forms of knowing so that each person’s values can be cultivated within the experience and intuitive expression from both inner and outer realities. Central to my research focus is addressing the difficulties inherent in ‘ecological apartheid’, which is defined as a growing separation of relationships that include the human being’s relationship with the natural world, as well as disconnections experienced within one’s own inner and outer capacities. Subsequently I investigate forms of learning that encourage agency that most appropriately enable citizens to respond personally to both inner and outer forms of disconnection. ‘Personal’ and ‘relational agency’ are defined and investigated through an initial twelve-month collaborative participatory contextual profiling exploratory research period in South Africa (phase A), where I explore various forms of multiple-genre creative social learning practice that develop an accessible set of methodologies and pedagogies for the ecological citizen. Through this exploratory research, I place significance in the relatively unknown field of social sculpture, which I investigate through a self-made apprenticeship with Shelley Sacks, an expert in the field. This is documented through a rigorous ethnographic inquiry over a period of 18 months. Following this I undertake another two-year collaborative, practice-based research study across South Africa (phase B: 17 towns, with a total of 350 citizens) and eventually abroad (United Kingdom, Germany, USA and Belgium).The focus of this study was the implementation of a collaboratively developed citizen learning practice entitled Earth Forum developed by Shelley Sacks as a progression from her work “Exchange Values: voices of insivible lives” and my collaboative exploration into Earth Forum and its further development draws heavily from social sculpture methods obtained during the apprenticeship, and applied in 36 different incidences. I further explore the efficacy of this practice in enabling and expanding the capacities of participants, particularly those that encourage the development of personal and relational agency. This was achieved through a pedagogical development and expansion period (phase C). A primary finding through the iterative phase (phase D) was the value of imaginal contemplation, attentive listening, and empathy as capacities that enable an ecological citizen’s overall capability. I ascribed this to Nussbaum and Sen’s (1993) capability theory and the need to enable the articulation and implementation of a citizen’s valued ‘beings and doings’. Through this iterative phase, specific attention is given to listening and intuitive capacities in enabling personal and relational agency, and specifically I observed the fundamental role of imagination in this form of learning. Particularly valuable for the educational contribution of this study is the pedagogical development of the Earth Forum practice that enables an accessible, socially constructed form of learning. This contributes specifically to exploring ‘how’ social learning is undertaken, and I argue that an aesthetic approach to learning is vital for the education of the ecological citizen. I carefully describe how one can conduct collaborative practice-based research that utilises creative connective practice in agency development. This collaborative approach, with regard to learning socially and capacity development for ecological citizenship (that focuses its attention on addressing ecological apartheid and separateness), is articulated through a multiple-genred text. I found that empathetic capacity in ecological citizen education is relatively unexplored, and within listening and as well in empathy theory, that the role of imagination in listening and empathy development, requires greater attention. I attempt to reveal how connective practice considers aesthetic form and shape in expanding capacities of human beings, and introduce novel expanded forms of developing pedagogies that encourage personal and relational agency in the context of ecological apartheid from the artsbased field of social sculpture. Finally, I aim in this study to share the potential value found in social sculpture theory and practice into the field of environmental education and social learning through a reflection on the current context of education and social learning, and its potential enrichment via social sculpture processes.

Syftet med vår studie är att, utifrån elevers och pedagogers perspektiv, jämföra synen på fritidshemmets två fundament; fri lek och pedagogstyrda aktiviteter. Bakgrunden till vår studie är ur vilken historia fritidshemspedagogiken vuxit fram med fokus på det fria barnet, men också dagens ökade fokus på undervisning med det nya läroplanstillägget. Vi använder oss av kvalitativa och kvantitativa metoder i form av intervjuer och enkäter. Studiens insamlade data har sedan analyserats ur ett sociokulturellt perspektiv, mer specifikt med hjälp av Lev S Vygotskijs lekteorier. Resultatet visar att elever och pedagoger är överens om att aktiviteter är mest populära och att det är utifrån dessa fritidsverksamheten definieras. Resultatet visar också att den fria leken är viktig, men att den dels är svår att definiera samt att den fungerar mer som ett komplement till de pedagogstyrda aktiviteterna. Den slutsats som presenteras i studien är att det som vi på förhand såg som varandras motsatser istället har en beroendeställning till varandra. Pedagogstyrda aktiviteter definierar fritidshemmets verksamhet och ger elever som pedagoger en tydlighet, struktur och trygghet. I den fria leken ges fantasi, kreativitet och lustfylldhet utrymme och symboliserar på så sätt fritidshemmets själ. Det handlar med andra ord inte om att bygga verksamheten på det ena eller det andra, utan att de kompletterar varandra på så sätt att eleverna har en valmöjlighet.
The purpose with our study is to compare from pupils and pedagogues point of view, the two foundations of leisure time; free play and pedagogue lead activities. The background to our study is found in the history of leisure time and its focus on the free child, but also with the increasing demands of a more didactic context in the Swedish curriculum. We use both qualitative and quantitative methods in forms of interviews and surveys. The collected data in our study is analysed from a sociocultural perspective, more specific with Lev S Vygotskijs play theory. Our result shows that pupils and pedagogues agree that activities are more popular than free play, and it is with the help of activities leisure time is defined. The result also shows that free play is important, but difficult to define and more used as a complement to activities. The conclusion that is presented in the study is that what we thought would be contrary to each other instead is dependent of each other. Activities define leisure time and provide a sense of clarity, structure and security. The free play includes values such as fantasy, creativity and amusement and symbolizes the soul of leisure time. In other words, leisure time cannot be built on either activities or free play but on collaboration between both. That collaboration gives pupils a possibility to choose.

O presente trabalho está inserido no campo dos estudos da temática da Lei Federal 10.639/03, correlacionando-a especificamente com a disciplina de Sociologia ofertada no ensino médio. Sendo assim, esta pesquisa diz respeito aos aspectos do orixá Exu, nos cultos das religiões afro-brasileiras, principalmente no Candomblé, na Umbanda.. O objetivo geral desta dissertação foi investigar a possibilidade de abordagem dos aspectos do orixá Exu como conteúdo específico da disciplina de Sociologia do ensino médio, tendo como referência a Lei Federal 10.639/03, e as Diretrizes Curriculares da Educação Básica dessa disciplina no Estado do Paraná. Os objetivos específicos da presente dissertação foram: compreender em que medida a antropologia evolucionista contribuiu para o desenvolvimento do racismo e da intolerância aos povos africanos, afro-brasileiros e suas culturas; compreender a influência da escola evolucionista nos estudos antropológicos brasileiros e entender o processo de mudanças de paradigmas da antropologia brasileira. Buscando a validade empírica da presente dissertação, fundamentamos a metodologia na teoria de Weber (2001), visto que concordamos com o autor em relação ao modo de investigação dos fenômenos sociais, tentando aplicá-lo para compreensão do fenômeno social em questão. Utilizamos vários procedimentos, dentre eles a pesquisa bibliográfica (documentários, seleção de livros, artigos e leis) e a elaboração de um roteiro de entrevistas estruturadas, com questões abertas, direcionadas aos professores, à direção e aos pedagogos da coordenação de colégios do ensino básico. Nesta pesquisa, consideramos o quanto a educação deve contribuir para desfazer o mal-entendido que ocorreu com o orixá Exu, sob pena de continuarmos como uma visão racista sobre Exu e as religiões afro-brasileiras. Nesse âmbito, apresentamos ao leitor algumas das pesquisas mais importantes sobre Exu. O diferencial de nossa pesquisa está na demonstração da relação entre Exu e a Lei 10.639/03, evidenciando que é possível abordar o tema como conteúdo específico, fundamentado também nas diretrizes curriculares da disciplina de Sociologia do estado do Paraná. A contribuição da presente pesquisa também se efetiva nas sugestões de como seria possível relacionar Exu com os conteúdos específicos da disciplina em questão. Foram realizadas nove entrevistas com professores do ensino médio, de várias disciplinas, de colégios estaduais (alguns ministram aulas em mais de um colégio) da Região Metropolitana de Maringá, norte do Paraná, durante o mês de novembro do ano de 2015. As respostas desses profissionais proporcionaram o conhecimento das dificuldades que os professores enfrentam ao abordarem temas relacionados às religiões afro-brasileiras nas aulas, mas nos revelaram, principalmente, maneiras de abordar os aspectos do orixá Exu como conteúdo específico.
This work is inserted in the field of thematic studies of Federal Law 10.639/03. correlating specifically with Sociology discipline offered in high school. Therefore, this research concerns the aspects of Orisha Eshu, the cults of the african-Brazilian religions, especially Candomblé and Umbanda..The general objective of this work was to investigate the possibility of approaching aspects of Orisha Eshu as specific content of high school sociology discipline, with reference to the Federal Law 10,639 / 03 and the Curriculum Guidelines for Basic Education of the discipline in the state of Paraná. The specific objectives of this dissertation were: to understand to what measure evolutionary anthropology contributed to the development of racism and intolerance to African people, african-Brazilians and their cultures; understand the influence of evolutionary school in the Brazilian anthropological studies and understand the process of paradigm shifts of Brazilian anthropology. Seeking the empirical validity of this dissertation, we base the methodology in Weber's theory (2001), as agreed with the author in relation to the social phenomenon research mode, trying to apply it to understanding the social phenomenon in question. We use several procedures, including literature searches (documentaries, selection of books, articles and laws) and the elaboration of a guide for structured interviews with open questions, directed to teachers, the direction and pedagogues of coordination of basic education schools. In this research, we consider how education should help dispel the misunderstanding that occurred with the Orisha Eshu, otherwise continue as an racist view of Eshu and african-Brazilian religions. In this context, we present the reader with some of the most important research on Eshu. The differential of our research is the demonstration of the relation between Exu and Law 10.639/03, showing that it is possible to approach the theme as specific content, also based on the curriculum guidelines of the discipline of the state of Paraná Sociology. The research contribution is also actualize in suggestions for how could relate Eshu with the specific contents of the subject in question. Nine interviews were conducted with high school teachers in several disciplines, state schools (some give classes in more than one school) the metropolitan region of Maringa, north of Paraná, during the month of November 2015. The responses of these professionals provided the knowledge of the difficulties that teachers face in addressing issues related to african-Brazilian religions in class, but mainly revealed in ways to address aspects of the Orisha Eshu as specific content.

Abstract:
Écriture féminine moving towards Others writing: A close reading of Mara Lee’s literary figuration strategies and the Other in Kärleken och hatet (2018) This essay examines how Mara Lee re-negotiates écriture féminine through an artistic writing practice from a contemporary horizon of queer-theory and post-colonial perspectives on the immanent power structures of language. Arguing for the relevance of écriture féminine as an entry to understand the figurations of the Other, through the similar literary strategies that navigates past the repressive and subordinating structures of language. Using Mara Lee’s thesis När Andra skriver (2014) to approach and display the literary figuration strategies of the Other at work in her poetic text Kärleken och hatet. Departing from écriture féminine Lee re-use and add to the defining features that operate through a critique of the binary system of language and the notion of uniform meaning. Lee presents time as a new perspective to negotiate the old concepts and puts temporalization into practice as a strategy to elude the double bind of difference. The common tendency of Lee’s literary strategies works through a subversive opening of the language, dislocating, shifting, and forcing it into motion. Lee displays how motion precludes stagnation, binary conceptions, and stereotype images. By using metaphors and imagery with multiplying, moving, and floating qualities as a way to return to and invoke the body Lee brings forward the subordinated experience. The body works as a common denominator for both the Other and the female experience of historically being reduced and referred to primarily as object and body rather than subject. Intertextuality, autofiction, and rebellious crossing of genres, mixing different styles of text, and refusing to conform to the expected linear narrative is another defining aspect of écriture féminine that echoes in Lee’s work. Kärleken och hatet departs from the poetic format and uses an extensive number of intertextual references that activate the infinite textual potential and destabilize uniform meaning as it continues towards other literary contexts. Through subjectivity and the fragmented, non-uniform subject Lee aligns with the strategies of écriture féminine while giving voice to the lived bodily experience of the Other. The spiral works as a returning yet opening motion through the metaphorical imagery and the narrative as repetition with a slight shift that re-negotiates the production of meaning. With this spiraling motion, Lee addresses revolutionary time and enforces a return to the repressed experience of the body while insisting on difference as a continuous process.

Elle vise à étudier l'impact des Tanẓīmāt (réformes) à travers les questions suivantes qui ont préoccupé les chrétiens orthodoxes de ce temps : le prosélytisme, le calendrier grégorien, la conscription militaire, les événements de 1860, les indemnités, la question bulgare et l'indépendance de l'Église d'Antioche, sur la vie et l'histoire de cette communauté, en se basant sur les Archives inédites du Patriarcat d'Antioche, conservées à Damas et consultées en croisement avec les « Archives diplomatiques du ministère des Affaires étrangères » conservées à La Courneuve (France), les Archives du Patriarcat maronite, Bkerké (Liban) et les Archives pontificales (Archivio Segreto, Propaganda Fide et Églises orientales), à Rome (Italie).Cette recherche révèle que l'histoire interne de la communauté Rūm orthodoxe et l'histoire ecclésiastique de l'Église d'Antioche sont profondément liées aux grandes questions de cette époque. Les Tanẓīmāt ottomanes ont énormément affecté la vie de la communauté Rūm orthodoxe en Syrie et au Liban. D’une part, les Tanẓīmāt et les ingérences étrangères ont joué un rôle de premier plan à provoquer les massacres de 1860. D'autre part, elles ont largement profité aux communautés chrétiennes sur les droits économiques, sociaux et culturels, ainsi que sur la mise en forme de leur identité arabe et gestion de leurs affaires ecclésiales
This research focuses on the situation of Levantine Christians, mainly the Rūm Orthodox community of Damascus and the Patriarchate of Antioch which includes the different regions of Lebanon and Syria during the years 1860-1914. It aims at investigating the impact of the Tanẓīmāt (reforms), through the following questions that preoccupied Orthodox Christians at that time: proselytism, the Gregorian Calendar, military conscription, the events of 1860, the indemnities, the Bulgarian question, and the independence of the Antiochian Church, on the life and history of this community, based on the unpublished Archives of the Patriarchate of Antioch preserved in Damascus, while crossing them with the Archives diplomatiques du ministère des Affaires étrangères preserved at La Courneuve, France, the Archives of the Maronite Patriarchate, Bkerke, Lebanon, and the Pontifical Archives (Archivio Segreto, Propaganda Fide, and Oriental Churches), in Rome, Italy.This research reveals how the internal history of the Rūm Orthodox community and the ecclesiastical history of the Church of Antioch are deeply intertwined with the major questions of that time. The Ottoman Tanẓīmāt had great impacts on the life of the Rūm Orthodox community in Syria and Lebanon. On the one hand, the Tanẓīmāt and the foreign interferences played a prominent role in provoking the massacres of 1860. On the other, they largely benefited the Christian communities on the economic, social, and cultural levels, as well as on the shaping of their Arab identity and the managing of their church affairs

La globalisation des marchés et ses nombreuses conséquences oblige les PME à être de plus en plus flexibles pour maintenir durablement leur positionnement concurrentiel à l'international. Pour y parvenir, elles peuvent envisager le recours aux Technologies de l'information et de la Communication (TIC). Ces dernières peuvent servir de " supports facilitateurs " en accélérant l'obtention d'une information riche et pertinente et en facilitant la diffusion au sein de l'entreprise, de même qu'en favorisant l'innovation et en permettant des relations d'affaires fluctueuses entre les divers partenaires à l'étranger. C'est ce que nous nous proposons de vérifier grâce à une enquête réalisée auprès de 100 PME Gabonaises situées dans la province de l'Estuaire et ayant des activités à l'international. Les résultats de cette étude montrent globalement que les performances à l'international des PME Gabonaises sont influencées significativement par l'usage des TIC (Technologies de base et Technologies avancées) et leur succès. L'utilisation de ces TIC est, quant à elle, déterminée dans une moindre mesure par les ressources de la PME et dans une forte proportion par la vision stratégique du dirigeant et l'environnement d' affaires. Cette dernière variable influence significativement le succès des TIC selon cette étude
The globalization of markets and its numerous consequences compel small and medium businesses to be increasingly flexible to maintain, in a sustainable way, their competitive position internationally. To succeed in this, they can consider the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). ICT can serve as a facilitating medium, increasing access to rich and relevant information and facilitating its dissemination in the firm, which, in turn, can promote innovation and make fluctuating business relations possible with diverse foreign partners. This is what we attempt to verify through a survey of 100 small and medium internationally active Gabonese firms, located in the Estuaire province of Gabon. The results of this study show generally that the international performance of Gabonese small and medium businesses is significantly influenced by the use of ICT (basic technology and advanced technology) and by the extent to which ICT is successfully. We also show that the use of ICT is less determined by a firm’s resources than by the strategic vision of its management and the business environment. According to this study, the latter variable significantly influences the success of the ICT

Cette thèse entend prendre acte de l'importance du Web d'un point de vue philosophique. Importance double : à la fois comme objet de recherche, qui, dans le sillage du Web Sémantique et de l'architecture du Web, à des titres divers, entre en résonance évidente avec les problématiques classiques de la métaphysique et de la philosophie du langage. Dans cette perspective, nous étudions quelques-uns de ses composants principaux (URI, ressources, tags, etc.). En parallèle, nous soulignons son importance au regard de la question du devenir de la philosophie elle-même. En effet, le travail entrepris ne s'est nullement contenté de projeter les concepts à priori d'une philosophia perennis. Il a consisté, au contraire, à interroger les architectes du Web eux-mêmes pour faire émerger leur métaphysique empirique, en observant les controverses qu'elle a suscitées. Prendre acte de la portée ontogonique d'une pratique telle que " l'ingénierie philosophique ", selon l'expression de Tim Berners-Lee, pensée ici comme la production de nouvelles distinctions dans un monde en train de se faire, nous conduit à mener une réflexion plus vaste sur la nature de l'objectivation. Celle-ci rejoint en fin de compte des préoccupations politiques, dans la perspective de l'établissement d'un monde commun, auquel le Web participe activement.

Les "boutiques de communication" sont des points de vente, inspirés du modèle des taxiphones ou télécentres africains, proposant divers services télécommunication (téléphonie internationale, téléphonie mobile, fax en émission et réception, accès publics à l'internet). Le relevé de leurs implantations, entre 2001 et 2003 dans le XVIIIe arrondissement de Paris, montre leur concentration particulière dans le périmètre de "Château-Rouge", centralité immigrée organisée autour d'un marché ethnique de réputation internationale, connu sous le nom de "marché africain". Ce constat conduit à s'interroger sur le rôle des Technologies de l'Information dans la structuration de l'identité des populations migrantes, et notamment du sentiment diasporique soit comme constitution d'une espace public migrant, au sein d'un territoire symbolique (le marché ethnique), soit comme manifestation de la "mondialisation par le bas" (économie internationale fondée sur la multiterritorialité), soit comme hétérotopie, conduisant progressivement l'étranger à l'intégration par une succession de va-et-vient symboliques
"Communication shops" in Château-Rouge, reproduce African telecenters and propose telecommunications services and products : international calling cards, call shops, fax, mobile phones, public access to internet. They particularly concentrate around the African market of Château-Rouge (Paris 18). This leads to consider that ICT may contribute to the conception of diasporic identity in a migrant population and that "communication shops" can be studied as a political phenomenon (as constituting a public space for migrant representation), as the outcome of the transnational economy lead by displaced entrepreneurs, and as an heterotopic place where migrants progressively integrate into the host country

In 1959 French composer Francis Poulenc composed the opera La Voix humaine based on Jean Cocteau’s original play (1928). La Voix humaine is a one-act opera for soprano. The main character, Elle, spends the opera on the phone with her ex-lover who is marrying another the next day. Many musicians believe this opera is difficult or impossible to update, due to the use of the telephone and its dated operator system, which is a large aspect of the action and drama. This document provides the reader with a new interpretation of the opera with modern technology. Chapter One begins with a brief history of the creators of the play and opera, Jean Cocteau and Francis Poulenc. It delves into their early years, leading up to their time involved with Les Six. Chapter Two discusses Cocteau’s vision and creation of the play and continues to his collaboration with Poulenc on the opera. Chapter Three offers a view of how the phone plays a large part in the play, continues to the telephone’s function during the time period the play was written, and concludes with a look at how current technology may be applied to an updated interpretation of the opera. Chapter Four provides a look at the sections of the libretto that is linked to the telephone, thus making its use unavoidable in certain portions of the opera while providing musical examples. It also discusses how the libretto poses a problem with a modern-day telephone system and how to address these issues. Chapter Five presents ways to incorporate the use of an iPad into the second section of the opera, through analysis and interpretation of the text. Chapter Six gives a look into modern research on technology and its effects on mental health, following with how this research can be applied to a modern interpretation of the work and Elle’s untimely suicide due to effects of technology addiction. This chapter also discusses how the text and music support these ideas. Finally, the conclusion summarizes main ideas and their application into the opera.

As a leisure time pedagogue I find it hard to have an insight into what children are playing, and how they play when it comes to free play. My experience is that in some free play, conflicts arise, which reveal hierarchies and power structures containing violations, whereas other occasions of free play suddenly come to an end as the pedagogue interferes. In this essay I investigate my responsibility as a leisure time pedagogue during children´s free play, based on two differing play situations. I also investigate the play as a phenomenon by looking into previous research on children’s play and development psychology. By reflecting on the two play situations I can further understand how to act in a more supportive way during the children´s free play, and how I should relate to the free play I have in my essay found that the free play does not handle itself and that the leisure time pedagogue´s responsibility in the free play is to be present and observe when children are playing. In that way I can get an insight into the world of the children and I can give my support when the game becomes problematic or I can back away when I notice that I have disturb a free play that works well.
