Abstract Objective The alveolar prominence can change the morphology of the mandible by showing continuous remodeling. The chronic remodeling/resorption process of the jaw is influenced by gender, genetics, systemic conditions, sequence of tooth loss, duration of edentulism and other unknown factors. Women are known to be at greater risk of bone density loss than men, due to aging and hormonal effects. Decreased bone density can also affect alveolar bone and attachment to teeth, leading to tooth loss and edentulous. Panoramic radiographs are one of the regular examinations at dental clinics. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in children is one of the most common problems encountered by the otolaryngologist. It was described frequently in adults but was not clearly defined as of true medical significance in children until 19761. Since then, rapid advances in technology and increasing recognition have propelled pediatric sleep apnea into both fame and notoriety.

Snoring is the hallmark of sleep disordered breathing. It occurs in up to 27% of school aged children 2-10 and peaks at 2-8 years. This is coincident with the peak in size and degree of immunologic activity of the t

Mandibles of termite workers present distinct patterns according to the type of material they deal with when foraging and building, being hence useful to distinguish functional groups. This is hardly suprising as, being the tools most frequently and intensely used by workers, mandibles should be constantly subjected to selective forces. If worker mandibles reflect evolutionary pressure one could hence hypothesize that mandible patterns of workers of termite hosts would differ from those of termite inquilines. After all, host and inquilines differ, if nothing, on their differential investment i

All six jaws can be unequivocally allocated to Lacertidae and five of those are allocated to European green lizards of the Lacerta viridis group. Currently, La. viridis has regionally extinct or probably extinct status in Poland.
