The notable demand for the want of cement in our time has stimulated increment in cement production and increment in manufacturers to be had in our day. These in turn amongst others have brought about failure of buildings and other construction members. As a result, the need to ensure the quality of available cement in circulation is of utmost paramount. This research work studies the available Portland lime cement of grade 42.5 only, in Nigeria from such company as company A, company B, and company C. AbstractGlobal CO2 emissions from cement production represent a major challenge on the path towards a future of net zero emissions. Concrete represents 5–8% of the total global CO2 emissions while remaining a critical building material globally. It is imperative to find low-emissions solutions that can reduce the environmental impacts by finding new mixtures and binders for cement production, which are the main contributing factor for emissions from concrete. Alternative concrete binders are being developed, and one such binder is geopolymer cement. Geopolymer cement is made by mixing industri

Abstract Portland cement (the primary component in concrete) is the second most consumed product, globally, after water (Czigler 2020). With the sheer volume of cement that is produced each year, it should not be surprising that the manufacturing process ranks as the third largest industrial source of emissions and pollution in the world (EPA 2022). Specifically, cement plants emit a significant amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) through fuel consumption to generate heat and the unavoidable chemical process of calcination. Abstract A crucial step in the decarbonization of well cementing operations is the replacement of conventional cement with a cement-free system. One metric ton of carbon dioxide (CO2) is released to the environment for every metric ton of Portland cement manufactured. A geopolymer cement-free system, customized for downhole temperature and pressure conditions, was implemented in Oman. This case study presents an innovative, at-scale application of geopolymers in oilfield well cementing.
