Abstract:
This article addresses the benefits of using women's memoirs as historical sources. Employing a critical framework—the concept of creative labor—taken from recent screenwriting studies scholarship, the author analyzes the way that Frederica Sagar Maas and Lenore Coffee represent their roles in the bureaucratic structure of the Hollywood studio system.

Abstract:
This essay uses the rubric of “trickster” to explore the narrative character of Solomon as presented in Kings. Using both the broader literary category and the specific comparand of the Lenape (Delaware) trickster, Wehixamukes, nuances of the biblical presentation are highlighted and seemingly disparate elements of the biblical Solomon character are seen as parts of a coherent whole.

Abstract:
Abstract The essay describes Carolee Schneemann's residence, a stone house constructed in 1750 by Huguenot settlers on land of the Munsee Lenape people, and its central role in her life and work from the early 1960s until her death in 2019. The essay gives particular attention to Schneemann's text “Parts of a Body House” (1957–67), a series of paragraphs composed over a decade that describe a network of biomorphic structures and multimedia environments. The essay argues that “Parts of a Body House” is a “nerve codex” by which to read the artist's life and work. The essay is derived in part from remarks the author delivered at the memorial service for Schneemann at Judson Memorial Church, New York, on 3 May 2019.

Abstract:
This paper engages with the artistic practice and work of Vanessa Dion Fletcher (Potawatomi and Lenapé) from my perspective as a non-Indigenous academic and curator. Dion Fletcher and I have worked together over the past several years through discussions about her work, studio visits, and various events. In her art practice, Dion Fletcher uses porcupine quills and menstrual blood to inquire into a range of issues and concepts including Indigenous language revitalization, feminist Indigenous corporeality, Land as pedagogy, decolonization, and neurodiversity. In particular her work confronts the ways that Indigeneity, the queer and gendered body, and disability are rendered expendable. In this paper I engage with Dylan Robinson’s “sovereign sense”: a transcorporeal mode of perception that is affective, land-based, and formed through relations between human and non-humans. Dion Fletcher’s work makes palpable this sense of sovereignty through its unruly and mutating feltness. Further, her work makes visible feminist Indigenous artistic acts of resurgence alongside the frictions at the intersections of settler colonialism and disability. Following Karyn Recollet, I contend that Dion Fletcher’s work activates an Indigenous affective experience of futurity and creative intimacy that in turn imagines disability and Indigeneity as sites through which new pedagogical relations can be formed.

Abstract:
After his death in 1623, the Flemish Jesuit Leonard Lessius (Lenaert Leys, 1554–1623) became the object of public veneration—never approved by the Roman church—that aimed at promoting his beatification. The cult of this theologian, based on many supposed miraculous healings, increased in the seventeenth century but began to fade thereafter. The cult was revitalized in the nineteenth century, when some Flemish Jesuits began a “relic rush” in order to find Lessius’s remains, with the hope of reopening the process of beatification; the cause was, however, definitively abandoned in the twentieth century. The records relating to Lessius’s cause shed light on the policy of sainthood adopted by the new Society of Jesus and its connection with that of the old Society.

Abstract:
AbstractReading in the English subject in both primary and secondary school often involves studying course book texts in detail. Therefore, pupils are rarely exposed to longer texts which require reading for meaning, a skill needed in higher education and working life. With the right reading material, extensive reading (ER) should start already in primary school. This article reports on a study of primary school pupils from three different schools and their perceptions of an extensive reading and writing project, as well as their responses to the reading material offered. The study was designed to address the following research questions:1. Which types of reading material appeal to the pupils in the study?2. What is the role of gender in the pupils’ evaluation of the reading material?3. Are there differences between the pupils’ evaluation of the reading material offered, depending on their previous academic achievement?4. What are the pupils’ attitudes towards (extensive) reading? Two sets of questionnaire data were collected in the course of the project. First, during the reading, the learners were asked to answer a questionnaire about each book they had read or attempted to read. At the end of the project, the learners were asked to complete a questionnaire about their overall perception of the project. The study shows that there was a significant difference between the schools in the evaluation of the reading material, and there was also a significant difference between boys and girls in the perception of the reading material. More¬over, the study shows that the learners valued the chance to select the reading material themselves highly. When carrying out ER with pupils, it is essential to be aware of gender differences in reading preferences and ensure that there are enough books to cater for both boys’ and girls’ particular interests. Moreover, fostering a reading culture in both the Norwegian and English subjects is important. Keywords: extensive reading, gender differences, choice of books, the impor-tance of self-selection of books, motivation for readingEkstensiv lesing i engelsk som fremmedspråk i barneskolenSammendragLesing i skolefaget engelsk i både barne- og ungdomsskolen betyr ofte at elevene må gjøre rede for lærebokteksten på detaljnivå.

Abstract:
Vsi omenjeni umetniki so sodelovali pri prenovah v dvorcu Eggenberg in graški palači, rezidencah Karla Leopolda grofa Herbersteina in njegove žene Marije Eleonore, roj. kneginje Eggenberg.

Abstract:
A study of student´ between-drafts revisions in upper secondary, Norwegian language arts AbstractThe article is a study of how upper secondary students revise text after receiving written feedback from their teacher in Norwegian language arts. Being able to revise text is an important part of a well-developed writing competence, but there is little previous research in Norway and internationally that indicates how far students have come in developing revision skills towards the end of upper secondary level. The empirical material in this study consists of text drafts from 59 students in upper secondary level 2, the teachers' comments on the drafts, as well as the revised versions of the texts. We compare drafts and revised versions and do a qualitative content analysis of the changes students have made. We investigate whether the changes are made at a global or local text level, what revision operations students make at the global text level, and whether the changes are suggested by the teacher in the comments on the text or not. The results show that the students as a group have progressed significantly further in the development of revision skills than those described in previous studies on younger students. Students revise more on the global text level than on the local, and they do a number of revisions without support from the teacher. At the same time, we see that there is some variation within the student group. Some students are very independent, while others make few revisions and to a small extent follow up the teacher's suggestion to revise the text. Keywords: Writing, revision, teacher comments

Abstract:
V prispevku so obravnavane pozlate in poslikave oltarjev in prižnic, katerih zasnova, figure oziroma reliefi in ornamentika so delo mariborskega kiparja Jožefa Holzingerja. Upoštevana so le ustrezno restavrirana dela, torej tista, pri katerih je prezentirana prvotna barvna podoba, kakršno so izvedli predstavljeni pozlatarji in poslikovalci. Poslikave in pozlate nekaterih Holzingerjevih oltarjev in prižnic so arhivsko dokumentirane. Dokumenti omenjajo mariborske slikarje Franca Beinlicha, Franca Antona Widemana in Antona Geringer- ja. Analizirane so stilistične spremembe barvitosti in strukturiranosti marmoracij in tonskih vrednosti inkarnatov v drugi polovici 18. stoletja.
