Pažymint V. Lenino 100-ąsias gimimo metines, 1970 m. balandžio 18 d. Vilniaus Valstybiniame V. Kapsuko universitete įvyko Lietuvos TSR aukštųjų mokyklų filosofų mokslinė konferencija. Perskaityta dešimt pranešimų. J. Repšys savo pranešime nagrinėjo, kaip V. Leninas suprato marksizmo vietą ir vaidmenį filosofijos istorijoje. S. Rudzevičius nagrinėjo kai kuriuos gamtos mokslų filosofinės analizės momentus, Z. Morkūnas – kai kuriuos socializmą kuriančios visuomenės politinės organizacijos momentus. B. Vaitkutės pranešimas buvo skirtas pirmykštės pasaulėžiūros rekonstravimui, E. Krakausko – materialistiniam visuomenės aiškinimo kriterijui. F. Škliarskaitė analizavo aktualias moterų laisvės ir lygiateisiškumo problemas, E. Meškauskas – V. Lenino atspindėjimo teorijos pobūdį, R. Plečkaitis – V. Lenino logines idėjas ir jų ryšį su šiuolaikine logika, I. Ledas – estetinio vertinimo principus V. Lenino veikaluose.

Abstract:
Apžvelgiamos V. Lenino knygoje „Materializmas ir empiriokriticizmas” nagrinėjamos problemos. Parodoma tuometinių gamtos mokslų laimėjimų kontekstas. Teigiama, kad V. Leninas apgynė materializmo pagrindus, parodė subjektyvistinį machizmo pobūdį. Jis išanalizavo svarbiausias naujausios fizikos filosofines problemas, atskleidė fizikinio idealizmo esmę. V. Leninas nurodė pagrindinius fizikos krizės aspektus – progresyvią, revoliucinę ir bandymą paneigti objektyviąją tiesą ir materialistinę pasaulėžiūrą pakeisti idealistine. V. Leninas teigė, kad fizikos ir apskritai mokslų matematizacija yra labai progresyvus reiškinys. Jis kritikavo reliatyvizmą: idealistai, suabsoliutinę pažinimo santykinumą, paneigė pasaulio pažinumą ir jo objektyvų egzistavimą. V. Leninas apibūdino materiją kaip egzistuojančią nepriklausomai nuo žmogaus sąmonės ir jos atspindimą. Gilėjant žinioms apie objektyvų pasaulį, keičiasi ir mūsų teorijos, sąvokos.

Abstract:
Straipsnyje, remiantis V. Lenino idėjomis, keliami ir svarstomi klausimai, ką reiškia kultūros sąvoka, kultūros vystymasis bei kuria prasme jai taikytinas klasinis pobūdis. Teigiama, kad kultūra apima visa tai, kas egzistuoja ne kaip natūralių gamtos procesų pasekmė, o kaip žmonių kultūrinės veiklos produktai. Tai yra žmonijos istorijoje sukurta dirbtinė tikrovė kaip visuma sąlygų, būtinų žmonių egzistavimui bei vystymuisi užtikrinti. V. Leninas daug kartų kėlė idėją apie kuriamos socialistinės kultūros ryšį su senąja buržuazine, tačiau daugelis šiuolaikinių marksizmo teoretikų dažnai pamiršta perimamumo principo reikšmę socialistinei kultūrai. Autorius teigia, kad lenininiai kultūros palikimo ir buržuazinės kultūros pasiekimų panaudojimo principai buvo pažeisti asmenybės kulto laikotarpiu. Socializmas V. Leninui nebuvo vien kapitalistinės praeities paneigimas, o pozityvus sprendimas tų socialinių problemų, kurių kapitalizmas nesugebėjo išspręsti.

Abstract:
Straipsnyje analizuojamos V. Lenino loginės idėjos ir jų teoriniai šaltiniai. Vienas jų – XIX a. pabaigos ir XX a. pradžios gamtos mokslų pasiekimų filosofinis apibendrinimas, kitas – jo siekis metodologiškai pagrįsti pačią dialektinio materializmo filosofiją, noras ją paversti efektyvia gamtos ir visuomenės mokslų filosofinių klausimų sprendimo priemone. Teigiama, kad dialektiką, logiką ir pažinimo teoriją traktuodamas kaip vieningą visumą, V. Leninas išsprendė svarbius filosofinio pobūdžio logikos klausimus – klausimą apie loginių struktūrų pobūdį, jų kilmę ir atitikimą tikrovei. Loginėse struktūrose atsispindi bendriausi tikrovės bruožai, su kuriais žmogus susiduria savo praktinėje veikloje. Aptariama tarybinėje filosofijoje vykstanti polemika dėl dialektinės logikos pobūdžio. Viena perspektyviausių šios logikos sampratų yra jos laikymas mokslu apie kitų mokslų vystymąsi, arba metateorija.

Abstract:
The results of a crime localization study in Russian cities are presented. A long-term model of urban environment influence on criminal intent is proposed. Social and spatial causes of rising criminal level and later urban reconstruction methods are shown on the example of Pruitt-Igoe (St. Louis) and Bijlmer (Amsterdam) districts. A model for the reconstruction of the Novo-Lenino district in Irkutsk is proposed. Measures have been developed considering the historical dynamics of the region and its unique features.

Abstract:
Straipsnyje nagrinėjama substancijos sąvoka, aptariamos jos subjektyvistinė, objektyvistinė ir dialektinė sampratos. Teigiama, kad filosofinio subjektyvizmo požiūriu, subjektas pats sau yra substancija, nereikalaujantis jokio kito, objektyvaus, substancialumo. Subjekto aktyvumas yra uždaras ir pačiame savyje randantis visų savo jėgų, sprendimų ir tikslų šaltinį. Filosofinis objektyvizmas tikrąja substancija laiko objektų pasaulį. Žmogaus aktyvumas turi iš anksto nustatytus rėmus, kurie patikimai reguliuoja ir nukreipia žmogaus veiklą ir gyvenimą. Dialektika yra substancialumo tapimo, substancijos ir subjekto abipusio atvirumo dialektika. Žmogus tampa vis labiau substancialus, įsisavindamas gamtą ir kultūrinę-istorinę kūrybą, sukurdamas iš principo naujas galimybes. Substancialumas yra nuolatinė tėkmė, jo tapimo subjektu dialektinis procesas, laisvės galimybių kūrimo procesas.

Straipsnyje analizuojama V. Lenino iškelta atspindėjimo idėja ir apžvelgiamos materijos jautrumo idėjos sampratų raida R. Descarteso, B. Spinozos, D. Diderot bei kitų filosofų darbuose. V. Leninas teigė, kad visa materija turi pojūčiui giminingą savybę ir kad ši savybė yra sugebėjimas atspindėti. Atspindėjimo, kaip visuotinės materijos savybės, aiškinimą grįsti materijos jautrumo idėja pasidaro įmanoma tuomet, kai B. Spinozos substancijos kategorija pakeičiama filosofine materijos kategorija. V. Leninas, pritaikęs K. Marxo sukurtą dialektinę materialistinę atspindėjimo koncepciją, sukūrė hipotezę apie atspindėjimą, kaip visuotinę materijos savybę. Hipotezės reikšmė buvo ta, kad ji tapo metodologiniu orientyru, leidžiančiu visiškai ištyrinėti patį atspindžio reiškinį. V. Leninas atskleidė jos ontologinį pagrindą, kuris leido perėjimą nuo nejuntančios materijos prie juntančios paaiškinti kaip perėjimą nuo žemesnių atspindėjimo formų prie pojūčio ir žmogiškojo pažinimo, kaip labiau išsivysčiusių tos savybės pasireiškimo formų.

Abstract:
Remiantis V. Lenino teoriniu palikimu ir marksizmo-leninizmo filosofijos istorijos koncepcija straipsnyje atskleidžiamos V. Lenino pažiūros į marksizmo vietą pasaulinės filosofinės minties raidoje. Analizuojama, kaip jis suprato marksizmo santykį su praeities filosofinėmis idėjomis ir, kita vertus, su šiuolaikine buržuazine filosofija. Formuluojant ir sprendžiant minėtus klausimus atskleidžiami šiuolaikinės nemarksistinės filosofijos kritikos lenininiai principai. Teigiama, kad marksistiškai suprasta filosofijos istorija gali būti tik viena kitą keičiančių filosofinių koncepcijų istorija, tik tam tikrų filosofijos mokslo problemų kėlimo bei sprendimo istorija. Marksizmas bei jo metodologinė prasmė gali būti suprasti kaip visos ankstesnės filosofinės minties išvada ir tolesnis išvystymas. Straipsnio autorius pasisako prieš marksizmo suabsoliutinimą, dogmatiškumą, teigia, kad marksizmas privalo būti atviras ir neužbaigtas. Laikant marksizmą užbaigta paskutinės instancijos tiesa, filosofijos istorijai suteikiamas finalistinis ir teleologinis pobūdis.

Straipsnyje aptariamos V. Lenino pažinimo teorijos idėjos, ypač jo atspindėjimo teorija. Teigiama, kad pažintiniai mąstymo proceso rezultatai dialektinio materializmo požiūriu yra ypatingi tikrovės atspindžiai. Savo visuomeniniu-istoriniu pobūdžiu jie kokybiškai skiriasi nuo grynai individualių ir struktūriškai pastovių jutiminių atspindžių. Tikrovės atspindėjimas čia peržengia siaurus individo sąmonės rėmus ir virsta nepabaigiamu kūrybiniu tikrovės protinio rekonstravimo procesu su istoriškai keičiamais konstravimo principais, pasirenkamais, remiantis šio proceso pažangos poreikiais ir praktinio tikrovės įsisavinimo galimybėmis. Mokslinės teorijos yra žmogaus kuriami idealūs tikrovės modeliai, atliekantieji jos atspindžių vaidmenį praktinio įsisavinimo rėmuose. Praktika yra objektyvus pažinimo proceso rezultatų teisingumo kriterijus. Daroma išvada, kad išryškindamas konstruktyvų pažinimo proceso pobūdį, V. Leninas praturtino materialistinę tikrovės atspindėjimo teoriją.

Resumo: Esta dissertação é um estudo sobre o lugar privilegiado que o primado do desenvolvimento das forças produtivas ocupa no pensamento de Lenin. A partir daí, podemos entender qual é o conceito leniniano de socialismo, para compreendermos porque o taylorismo - um modo de organização do trabalho criado no início do século XX com o objetivo de intensificar o processo de extração da maisvalia relativa através da expropriação do saber-fazer operário, expropriação esta decorrente do aprofundamento da separação entre trabalho manual e intelectual, de concepção e de execução - teve lugar privilegiado no pensamento leniniano como um fator de desenvolvimento das forças produtivas para a superação do capitalismo e transição ao comunismo. Também demonstraremos como se deu o debate na década de 1920 na U.R.S.S. acerca da possibilidade da criação de um "taylorismo soviético"
Abstract: This dissertation is a study about the privileged place that the primacy of the productive forces development takes in Lenin's thought. Starting from that, we can apprehend thé true nature of leninian concept of socialism, to understand why the taylorism - a method of labor organization created in the beginning of XX century aiming at the intensification of the extraction of the relative surplus through the expropriation of the know-how from the workers, this same expropriation being bom from the deepenning of the splitting between manual and intelectual labour, of conception and execution - had its unique spot in Lenin's ideas as a development's agent of productive forces for the surpassment of capitalism and subsequent transition to communism. Also how unfolded the 1920's U.S.S.R. debate toward the possibility of creation of a "sovietic taylorism"

Resumo: A pesquisa aborda a questão do partido em Lenin ao longo de toda sua produção teórica (1895-1923) e tem como proposta discorrer detidamente sobre a organização interna, levandoem consideração a relação entre base e direção e partido e classe trabalhadora. Para tanto, analisa-se o conjunto da obra teórica de Lenin, as principais polêmicas a respeito do tema (como as discussões com Rosa Luxemburg e Trotski) e o acervo crítico oferecido por autores como MareeI Liebman, Neil Harding, Toni Cliff, Rudi Dutschke, Robert Michels, entre outros. O ponto central de discussão diz respeito ao predomínio, em Lenin, do princípio de especialização e do perfil militarizado das relações intra-partidárias, cujo fundamento remete à cisão entre direção política (Comitê Central) e execução de tarefas (base de militantes). Esse fator é especialmente problemático no período de transição ao comunismo, quando esse modelo organizativo se toma um empecilho para o desmantelamento das relações de produção de tipo capitalista já que repõe estratificações sociais de tipo c1assista
Abstract: The research discuss the party issue in Lenin along his complete theoretical production (1895-1923), speciaIIyabout the internal organizationquestion, considering the relationship between militants and directive organs as weIl as party and working class. In order to investigate this subject, we use as a source the complete works of Lenin, the main discussions with Rosa Luxemburg and Leon Trotski and the theoretical contributions of Marcel Liebman, Neil Harding, Toni Cliff, Rudi Dutschke, Robert Michels and others. The main discussion is about the dominance of the principIe of division of labour and the militaryway of internal rganization in Lenin's thougbt, which is founded on the separation between polítical direction (Central Committee) and accomplishment of tasks (by the rest of militants). This is particularly critical during the communist transition, because this organizationalpattern is an obstac1eto the overcomingof the capitalist social relations

Abstract:
Educating language minority children in Canada is becoming increasingly challenging as our population becomes more and more diverse. Determining the best educational policy to help immigrant children learn English or French, while furthering their knowledge of core subject material has long been a difficult task for educators in the public system. This novel is a fictional account of an immigrant girl's first year in an Ontario elementary school. Through her experience, I describe a language policy whereby children have access to bilingual primary education no matter what their first language is. Two-way immersion is offered for language minority groups with significant numbers of students within a district. And, in collaboration with the community, first language support in school is given to students of all language backgrounds. I propose a teacher training programme that better prepares teachers for the linguistic diversity in their classrooms and promotes foreign language learning in teachers themselves. Children under this system are able to acquire the dominant language of society, learn the subject material, and continue to develop literacy skills in their first language. With such policies in place, I argue, Canada could be a world leader in bilingual education for diverse populations.

Language models and semantic word embeddings have become ubiquitous as sources for machine learning features in a wide range of predictive tasks and real-world applications. We argue that language models trained on a corpus of text can learn the linguistic biases implicit in that corpus. We discuss linguistic biases, or differences in identity and perspective that account for the variation in language use from one speaker to another. We then describe methods to intentionally capture "linguistic lenses": computational representations of these perspectives. We show how the captured lenses can be used to guide machine learning models during training. We define a number of lenses for author-to-author similarity and word-to-word interchangeability. We demonstrate how lenses can be used during training time to imbue language models with perspectives about writing style, or to create lensed language models that learn less linguistic gender bias than their un-lensed counterparts.

Resumo: O uso da imuno-histoquímica pode aumentar a acurácia na detecção de melanócitos neoplásicos na derme. Com o objetivo de pesquisar microinvasão, cento e nove casos previamente diagnosticados como lentigo maligno (LM) foram resgatados dos arquivos do Departamento de Patologia da Faculdade de Medicina de Botucatu, da Universidade Estadual Paulista (FMB/UNESP) no período de 01/01/2002 a 01/01/2014. As lâminas histológicas de todos os casos foram revisadas pelos autores para confirmação do diagnóstico e seleção do bloco mais representativo para realização de estudo imuno-histoquímico com Melan-A e MITF. Em 25 casos (22,9%) foi observada invasão focal da derme por melanócitos neoplásicos claramente imunomarcados pelo Melan-A. Nos locais onde se evidenciou invasão foi realizada a medida da espessura de Breslow que variou de 0,1 a 0,45 mm. A coloração imuno-histoquímica com MITF evidenciou positividade focal na derme, porém a identificação das células coradas não permitiu a mesma segurança da coloração pelo Melan-A. Todas as lâminas de imuno-histoquímica foram contracoradas pelo Giemsa para diferenciar positividade para o anticorpo testado e melanina. O presente estudo permitiu identificar microinvasão dérmica em 22,9% dos casos de lentigo maligno, mostrando a possibilidade de estadiamento e tratamento inadequado quando utilizada a técnica de rotina. Abstract: The use of immunohistochemistry can enhance the accuracy in detecting neoplastic melanocytes in the dermis. In order to search for microinvasion, one hundred and nine cases previously diagnosed as lentigo maligna (LM) were retrieved from the archives of the Department of Pathology, Faculty of Medicine of Botucatu, Universidade Estadual Paulista (FMB / UNESP) in the period of 01/01 / 2002 to 01/01/2014. The histological slides of all cases were reviewed by the authors to confirm the diagnosis and selection of the most representative block for performing immunohistochemical study with Melan-A, and MITF. In 25 cases (22.9%) was observed focal dermal invasion by neoplastic melanocytes clearly immunostained for Melan-A. In these cases the Breslow thickness ranged between 0.1 and 0.45mm. Immunohistochemical staining showed MITF focal positivity in the dermis, but did not allow the same certainty of Melan-A staining. In order to distinguish melanin in macrophage cytoplasm from brown-staining melanocytes, the slides were counterstained by Giemsa. This study identified dermal microinvasion in 22.9% cases of lentigo maligna, showing the possibility of inadequate staging and treatment when using the routine technique. The findings are a warning for pathologists and clinicians, especially in large lesions and associated with lymphocytic infiltrate that obscures their limits.

This thesis studies the determinants of sovereign lending spreads. The objective of the first chapter is to identify and disentangle various risks embodied in foreign currency denominated sovereign bond spreads. Its empirical approach tries to attribute the explanatory power of country fundamentals in a spread equation to their predictive power for default and illiquidity risk. For this, I incorporate rational expectation predictions into the spreads and propose an IV estimation method. The over identification test offers a test whether the spread can be explained by predicted risk probabilities. Applying this approach to developing country bond data from 1975 to 1995, I find that the non-structural explanatory power of fundamentals can be completely attributed to their influence on predicted risk probabilities. The second chapter takes a broader view across all public sovereign lending. Data from the World Bank suggests that the average spread on all forms of borrowing by developing countries is smaller than for top-rated US corporate bonds. After documenting these facts (with particular care for resolving data problems), the analysis looks behind the averages. Once identifying various sub-types of borrowing, I find that official and other private lending (trade-related) are the main source of the low average spreads. Bond and commercial bank lending shows reasonable spreads. Unlike other and official, bond and bank lending move nearly one in one with world interest rates. All types of private lending significantly differ from each other in the way they incorporate country fundamentals. The third chapter offers a potential source of liquidity risk in bond markets: in a Diamond-Dybvig type model, where agents face a risk of becoming more risk-averse early consumers, changes in the speed of public learning about default risk may increase bond spreads, and decrease investor welfare. This effect operates through a link between future price volatility and current prices: increased expected future price volatility leads to lower prices today.

In this article considered Journalistic and editorial activity of Volodymyr Lenika (14.06.1922–02.11.2005) – one of the leading figures of Ukrainian emigration in Germany. First outlined basic landmarks of his life and creation. Journalistic and editorial activity of Volodymyr Lenik was during to forty years out of Ukraine. In the conditions of emigration politically zaangazhovani Ukrainians counted on temporality of the stay abroad and prepared to transference of the created charts and instituciy on native lands. It was or by not main part of conception of liberation revolution of elaborate OUN under the direction of Stepan Banderi, and successfully incarnated in post-war years. Volodymyr Lenik, executing responsible commissions Organization, proved on a few directions of activity, which were organically combined with his journalistic and editorial work. As an editor he was promotorom of creation and realization of models of magazines «Avangard», «Krylati», «Znannia», «Freie Presse Korespondenz», newspapers «Shliakh peremogy». As a journalist Volodymyr Lenik left ponderable work, considerable part of which entered in two-volume edition «Ukrainians on strange land, or reporting, from long journeys». Subject of him newspaper-magazine publications directed on illumination of school, youth, student, cultural, scientific problems, organization and activity of emigrant structures, political fight of emigration, to dethronement of the antiukrainskikh Moscow diversions and provocations. Such variety of problematic of works of V. Lenika was directed in the river-bed of retaining of revolutionary temperament in the environment of diaspore, to bringing in of it to activity in public and political life. Problematic of him is systematized publicism and journalistic appearances, which was inferior realization of a few important tasks, namely to the fight for Ukrainian independence in new terms, cherishing and maintainance of national identity, counteraction hostile soviet propaganda. On an example headed Volodymyr Lenikom a magazine «Knowledge» some aspects are exposed him editorial trade.
