Several studies of the correlation of LOC with such theological components as faith and spirituality have been reported with varying conclusions regarding the relationship of these concepts. However, the question of how theological issues are assessed within the Levenson LOC scale and assessment of the applicability of this instrument to the lives of older adults, as interpreted by members of this population, has not been addressed.
