Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to contribute to an understanding of which changes related to scientific inquiry have been made historically in curriculum documents. A comparative analysis is made of five Swedish national curricula– Lgr 62, Lgr 69, Lgr 80, Lpo 94 and Lgr 11 – during the last 50 years regarding what compulsory school students (school years 1–9) should learn about scientific inquiry. It focuses 1) what students should learn about carrying out scientific inquiries, and 2) what students should learn about the nature of science. All of the curricula examined have aims concerning scientific inquiry. The results show that during the period there have been many shifts in emphasis and changes of aims, for example from learning an inductive method to a more deductive one, and from an emphasis on carrying out investigations to an emphasis on more conceptual understanding of scientific investigations. Because teaching traditions tend to conserve aspects of earlier curricula, it is discussed how the results can help teachers, teacher students and curriculum developers to better see the consequences of the changes for teaching and learning.

AbstractThe performance of Hereford × Friesian calves sired by Hereford bulls selected for either lean growth rate (LGR) or lean food conversion ratio (LFCR), or by unselected Hereford bulls, was evaluated on 327 calves on three farms over 2 years. Animals started test at 130 days of age on average and remained on test for approximately 300 days, whereupon all animals were slaughtered and carcass dissections were undertaken. Individual food intake was measured on tioo of the farms (189 animals), but only intake per pen of animals was measured on the third farm and individual food intake had to be estimated. LGR, LFCR and other traits describing performance were calculated from the growth, food intake and carcass composition data.If no breed or environment interactions exist it is expected that proportionately 0-5 of the genetic differences between selected and control line bulls would be transmitted to their offspring. For the LGR and LFCR line bulls these values were 0·38 and 0·44, respectively, however the LGR value had a much smaller confidence interval. Genetic correlations derived from regressing breeding values predicted from offspring performance on breeding values predicted from the bulk's own performance in the selection experiment were 0·62 (s.e. 0·28) and 0·96 (s.e. 0·28) for LGR and LFCR, respectively. Heritabilities were: live-weight gain on test, 0·27; daily gain, 0·48; food intake, 0·06; food conversion ratio, 0·46; predicted carcass lean content, 0·10; killing-out proportion, 0·10; LGR, 0·36 and LFCR, 0·48.

Abstract. Here we present an experimental setup for water stable isotopes (δ18O and δD) continuous flow measurements. It is the first continuous flow laser spectroscopy system that is using Off-Axis Integrated Cavity Output Spectroscopy (OA-ICOS; analyzer manufactured by Los Gatos Research – LGR) in combination with an evaporation unit to continuously analyze sample from an ice core. A Water Vapor Isotopic Standard Source (WVISS) calibration unit, manufactured by LGR, was modified to: (1) increase the temporal resolution by reducing the response time (2) enable measurements on several water standards, and (3) to reduce the influence from memory effects. While this setup was designed for the Continuous Flow Analysis (CFA) of ice cores, it can also continuously analyze other liquid or vapor sources. The modified setup provides a shorter response time (~54 and 18 s for 2013 and 2014 setup, respectively) compared to the original WVISS unit (~62 s), which is an improvement in measurement resolution. Another improvement compared to the original WVISS is that the modified setup has a reduced memory effect. Stability tests comparing the modified WVISS and WVISS setups were performed and Allan deviations (σAllan) were calculated to determine precision at different averaging times. For the 2013 modified setup the precision after integration times of 103 s are 0.060 and 0.070‰ for δ18O and δD, respectively. For the WVISS setup the corresponding σAllan values are 0.030, 0.060 and 0.043‰ for δ18O, δD and δ17O, respectively. For the WVISS setup the precision is 0.035, 0.070 and 0.042‰ after 103 s for δ18O, δD and δ17O, respectively. Both the modified setups and WVISS setup are influenced by instrumental drift with δ18O being more drift sensitive than δD. The σAllan values for δ18O of 0.30 and 0.18‰ for the modified (2013) and WVISS setup, respectively after averaging times of 104 s (2.78 h). The Isotopic Water Analyzer (IWA)-modified WVISS setup used during the 2013 Roosevelt Island Climate Evolution (RICE) ice core processing campaign achieved high precision measurements, in particular for δD, with high temporal resolution for the upper part of the core, where a seasonally resolved isotopic signal is preserved.

Sessenta e dois casos de neurossífilis sintomática foram tratados com penicilina G, na dose diária de 20 ou 24 milhões de UI. por via intravenosa, durante 15 a 30 dias. O tempo médio de acompanhamento foi de 30 meses. Antes do tratamento, 41 pacientes apresentavam pleocitose ao exame do LCR. Seis meses e doze ou mais meses depois, foi constatada pleocitose em 4 (9,8%) e em 3 pacientes (7,3%), respectivamente. A proteinorraquia e os títulos das reações de Wassermann do soro e do LCR reduziram-se lentamente depois do tratamento. O teor de globulinas gama do LCR e os índices de imunoprodução local do sistema LCR ainda encontravam-se elevados depois do primeiro ano após tratamento. Os resultados da penicilinoterapia intravenosa em altas doses constatados neste estudo não diferiram daqueles obtidos com penicilinoterapia intramuscular em baixas doses registrados na literatura.

This review presents the literature data of new approaches for the treatment of COVID-19 with low doses of radiation (LDR). In addition, data on the use of LDR for the treatment of various disorders, in particular pneumonia, a number of inflammatory processes of various etiology, as well as Alzheimer’s disease are discussed. The mechanisms of LDR action are briefly described, associated with the activation of the immune system and antiinflammatory response due to the effect on the processes of oxidative stress, which is reflected in an increase in the activity of cytokines (interleukin- (IL-) 6), changes in the expression of a number of genes (such as P53 and NF-κB (p65)) and long non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) (the authors’ own data are presented). Based on the analysis of the material presented, it can be assumed that further clinical trials of the effect of MDR (5–10 cGy) on patients with COVID-19, who are at different stages of the disease, will reveal the optimal conditions for the development and use of an effective treatment regimen.

Neste trabalho é avaliado o potencial biocatalítico da lipase de Candida rugosa (LCR) imobilizada em diferentes suportes: carvão ativado, gesso comercial e sílica gel, visando a produção de biodiesel. O método de imobilização por adsorção foi utilizado na imobilização da LCR nos suportes. A eficiência de imobilização expressa em termos da razão entre a atividade do complexo suporte-LCR e atividade da enzima livre, foram estimados, fornecendo eficiência de 89% para o carvão ativado-LCR, 62% para a sílica gel-LCR e 48% para o gesso-LCR. O complexo carvão ativado-LCR forneceu o maior índice de acidez. A análise por cromatografia de camada delgada do biodiesel produzido por este complexo apresentou fatores de retenção e ordem de eluição dos acilgliceróis compatíveis com a literatura, indicando um potencial deste complexo para a produção de biodiesel.

Este estudo teve como objetivo descobrir, através da avaliação e da análise das áreas psicomotora, cognitiva e linguística, se as crianças do 1º ano do Ensino Fundamental I (EFI) precisam desenvolver habilidades para aquisição da leitura e da escrita. 62 crianças do 1º ano do EFI da rede pública da cidade de Limeira efetuaram um Protocolo de Avaliação sobre as habilidades psicomotoras/cognitivas e linguísticas. Observou-se que as habilidades estudadas interferiram na qualidade do processo de alfabetização e não diretamente no aprender ou não a ler e escrever. Assim, corrobora-se a importância de incorporação de atividades voltadas para estas habilidades durante a Educação Infantil e no início do Ensino Fundamental I.

Abstract:
This paper critically goes through the sources, the Swedish curricula in music published between 1962 and 2011.Through tools as discourse analysis and deconstruction it derives key expressions, checks for values and possible hierarchies between keywords relating to genre and other emphasized concepts related to the music curricula. The study pays special attention to the position of musical craft and esthetical values in the various documents. A starting point for problematization is Jacques Derrida's expression "monolingualism" where the owner, recipient and purpose of the narrative are made visible. The theoretical perspective consists of political ideology as the origin of the curricula within the education system. The analysis is based on theory and method from Michel Foucault, Jacques Derrida, Giovanna Borradori and Zygmunt Bauman. Theory and method are used in the search and evaluation of wordings that reveal impact from political ambitions in the Swedish music curricula. A comparative analysis of the result concludes the study and withdraws conclusions and suggestions for future studies.

Den här rapporten tittar på innehållet i de läroplaner som funnits i den svenska grundskolan, från den första som kom 1962 till dagens som infördes 2011.Den behandlar också ämnet geografi, hur ämnets innehåll sett ut och förändrats över den här tiden samt intervjuer med verksamma lärare.Man kan se att läroplanerna inte förändras direkt mycket i sin allmänna del, men att kursplanen förändrats en hel del med förskjutning från kartografi och fokus på närmiljön till en mer teknisk undervisning med fokus på samspel mellan människa natur, vilket även framkommer i de svaren lärarna ger.
This report looks at the content of the curricula that existed in the Swedish primary-schools. From the first one that came in 1962 to the present, introduced in 2011.It also handles the subject geography, how the content has been presented and changed over this period of time. Abstract:
Although the words reasoning or being able to reason appear 480 times in today's curriculum Lgr 11, there are no explanations and justifications why students should learn and be assessed based on the knowledge requirements in their ability to reason. This paper examines how this can be found, mainly in the syllabus in civics education for grades 4-6, and whether the relevance of reasoning has been similar in previous curricula from 1962 to the present day. With quantitative content analysis and qualitative text analysis, curricula in social studies and commentary material have been analysed.    The analyses have been made based on the curriculum philosophies progressivism, essentialism and reconstructivism, as a theoretical framework and a possible way to explain the quantitative and qualitative results, and answer the purpose of the essay how the relevance has changed. Another purpose of the essay is to investigate how the change has been justified and whether a change in perception of knowledge can explain the varied occurrence of the ability to reason, or how important one have considered the ability to be. The results of the essay shows that the quantitative results are not entirely related to the qualitative ones. Although the words occur most times in Lgr 11, I find that the greatest relevance to reasoning is given in Lgr 80. One possible reason for this may be that Lgr 80 expresses a reconstructive view of knowledge where the learning process is in focus, rather than an essentialist view of knowledge as in Lgr 11, where the subject content is the most central.

Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka vilken vikt de geografiska traditionerna ges i den nuvarande och i tidigare kursplaner för ämnet geografi samt hur dessa traditioner visar sig hos aktiva SOlärare i grundskolans senare del i deras syn på geografiämnets beståndsdelar. Uppsatsen tar avstamp i en redogörelse för Pattisons fyra geografiska traditioner (den rumsliga, den regionala, den naturgeografiska och människa-natur traditionen) med tillägg av den kritiska traditionen som Graves benämner den. Dessa traditioner ligger till grund för granskningen av nuvarande kursplan och för kursplaner för geografämnet under 1900-talets senare del. De olika traditionernas vikt i förhållande till varandra redovisas genom en tabell som sammanfattar kursplansanalysen. Exempel på resultatet är att Människa-natur traditionen har fått en dominerande del i senare kursplaner samt att den kritiska traditionen tillkommit sedan Lgr 80. Genom intervjuer undersöktes aktiva SO-lärares syn på geografiämnets beståndsdelar. Det empiriska materialet har tolkats utifrån en hermeneutisk ansats. Även om lärarna undervisade i och runtomkring samma centralort blev resultatet att synen skiljer sig från person till person. Dock utmärkte sig vissa traditioner mer än andra. En tradition med stor närvaro var människa-natur traditionen, även den naturgeografiska traditionen var väl representerad i lärarnas syn.

Sveriges regering kommer att presentera ett förslag till ny läroplan för grundskolan som ska börja gälla läsåret 2011/2012. Syftet med denna uppsats är att utreda begreppet kreativitet och sätta det i relation till den nya läroplanen, för att försöka förutsäga i vilken omfattning kreativitet och skapande kommer att få utrymme i denna. Arbetet med detta kräver att jag även studerar tidigare läroplaner (Lgr 62, Lgr 69, Lgr 80 och Lpo 94) och kartlägger utrymmet för kreativitet och skapande i dessa. Mina resultat är inte slutliga, i och med att den nya läroplanen inte ännu är presenterad. Jag har dock genom tolkning av relevanta dokument och diskussion kring dessa kommit fram till att den nya läroplanen kommer att ge färre tillfällen för kreativitet och skapande i svensk grundskola än nuvarande läroplan, Lpo 94.
The government of Sweden is about to present a proposition for a new curriculum for Swedish elementary school, which will come into effect the academic year 2011/2012. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the concept of creativity, and put it in relation to the new curriculum, in order to predict the scope creativity will have in this. This purpose requires that I also study earlier curricula (Lgr 62, Lgr 69, Lgr 80 and Lpo 94) and identify the scope for creativity in these. My results are not final, with the new curriculum not being presented yet. I have, however, by means of interpretation of relevant documents and a discussion of these, concluded that the new curriculum will provide less opportunities for creativity in Swedish elementary school than the current curriculum, Lpo 94, does.

Forming teacher teams is currently the standard way of organizing teachers in Swedish Compulsory Schools. This is the result of a process that started in the 1970s. Traditionally the culture of teaching has been one of isolation. Once the door to the classroom is shut, what happens behind the door is up to the teacher to decide. Over the past thirty years a lot of time has been dedicated to making fundamental changes in the way teachers interact with their colleagues. Today the idea of teachers forming teams is generally accepted but still the core of a Swedish teacher’s job is that of a lone worker. The purpose of this paper is to study how the role of the teacher has been defined in the Swedish curricula of 1962, 1980, 1994 and 2011. Of particular interest is if the teacher role is expected to be solitary or collaborative and if this has changed from the 1960s to the current curriculum of 2011. The theoretical framework consists of the frame factor theory and systemic/role theory. The curricula have been studied using a word search method, identifying sentences with the words teacher or teachers. These sentences have then been coded in different categories depending on what instructional words have used together with the word teacher/teachers. In the analysis, specific interest has been addressed to autonomous (solitary) or homonymous (collaborative) role expectations. The study shows that the teacher role has changed from one curriculum to the other. The state control of the teacher varies through the use of different instructional words. The state control has increased and is strongest in the most recent curriculum of 2011. The study also reveals the fact that Swedish curriculums never have been used to stress to collaborative aspects of being a teacher but rather to stress solitary role expectations.
Syftet med denna studie är att studera hur lärarrollen har definierats och förändrats i grundskolans läroplaner mellan 1962-2011, med fokus på två olika sätt att se på lärarens uppdrag; läraren som ensam styrare av verksamheten i klassrummet eller lärarlag som utövar en viss grad av kollektiv styrning. Frågeställningarna i studien är; Hur har lärarens uppdrag formulerats i läroplanerna? Förväntas läraren utföra sitt uppdrag ensam eller tillsammans med andra lärare? Organisationsteori är utgångspunkten för forskningsintresset och det är inom denna sektor som studiens resultat kan vara av praktisk nytta. Studien fokuserar på läroplanerna och de rollförväntningar som beskrivs i dessa. Rollteori/systemteori ger de teoretiska begreppen och är utgångspunkten för analysen. Studien har en kvalitativ ansats men en viss kvantitativ bearbetning av data förekommer. Ett urval av data har gjorts från läroplanerna LGR 62, LGR 80, Lpo 94 samt LGR 11. Vid urvalet har selektiv kodning använts med utgångspunkt i kärnkategorin läraren/lärarna. Nästa kategorisering har varit vilka instruktionsord som kopplas samman med kärnkategorin. I analysmomentet har särskilt intresse riktats mot autonoma rollförväntningar (individuella roller) eller homonoma rollförväntningar (samarbetsroller). Studien visar att formuleringen av lärarens uppdrag förändrats från en läroplan till en annan. Statens styrning har förändrats genom användandet av olika slags instruktionsord. Vad man väljer att styra hårdare har varierat. Den senaste läroplanen LGR 11 innehåller också den starkaste styrningen genom ett konsekvent användande av instruktionen läraren ska. Studien visar också att läroplanerna aldrig i någon högre grad har använts för att formulera ett kollektivt uppdrag riktat till lärarna som grupp. De kollektiva beslutsprocesser som beskrivs är mer inriktade på att involvera eleverna i beslutsfattande. Huvudfokus i alla läroplanerna ligger på den enskilde lärarens arbete och inte på ett kollektivt utförande av uppdraget.

Abstract:
Föreliggande arbete ämnar undersöka vilka krav på lärare som har förändrats och inte förändrats utifrån läroplanerna 1962 och 2011. 1962 kom den första grundskoleläroplanen i och med att införandet av den obligatoriska nioåriga grundskolan krävde en sådan. 2011 har varit ett år med nya förändringar som aktualiserats i media till exempel lärarlegitimationen. Därmed är det väsentligt att ta reda på hur kraven har och inte har förändrats utifrån två grundskoleläroplaner. Ett läroplansteoretiskt förhållningssätt utgör det teoretiska perspektivet och förklarar vilka faktorer som ligger bakom utformningen av en läroplan. Pedagoger intervjuades om kraven utifrån styrdokumenten, upplevelser och så kallade oskrivna krav. Resultatet visade i huvudsak att kraven har blivit tydligare i utformningen, fler resurser erbjuds för att nå dem men att de alltfler ökade krav har stramat åt friheten med att undervisa kreativt samtidigt som arbetsbördan har utökats för läraren. Dessutom visar resultatet att såväl undervisningsmetod som undervisningsformer har förändrats och läraren har fått utökat ansvarstagande genom kraven i olika riktlinjer. Slutligen diskuteras resultatet utifrån ett läroplansteoretiskt perspektiv.

Vi lever i en tid där genusfrågor flitigt diskuteras i olika sammanhang. Samhällsdebatten kring #metoo-initiativet, både motståndet och själva initiativet, är ett bevis på hur aktuellt och viktigt detta ämne är för vår samtid. Att frågan inte kommer att försvinna förrän kvinnor upplever att det sker en förändring är något som tydliggjorts i denna debatt. För att vi ska kunna förstå debatterna, diskussionerna men även de politiska beslut som sker kring frågor som rör kvinnor och jämställdhet idag är det viktigt att vi har en förförståelse för hur synen på kvinnor sett ut i vårt land historiskt samt hur man hanterat frågor som rör jämställdhet och kvinnosyn tidigare. Skolan är en institution som länge speglat samt reproducerat det politiska klimat vi lever i. Styrplaner är politiska dokument som på många sätt vittnar om sin samtid. Därför anser vi att läroplaner och läroböcker som utformas efter dessa kan fungera som ett verktyg för att försöka förstå olika dimensioner av kön och jämställdhetsfrågor genom historien i Sverige. Porträtterandet av kvinnor i läroböcker är ett perspektiv som kan hjälpa oss förstå utvecklingen kring synen på kvinnan genom tiderna. Eftersom Sverige innan kyrkan och staten skiljde sig åt januari 2000 ansågs vara ett kristet land och även idag bland många fortfarande anses vara det, så är synen på den kristna kvinnan något som i sammanhanget kan vara värt att utgå ifrån i försöket att förstå olika aspekter av jämställdhetsfrågor.

Den tryckta läseboken har länge varit viktig för svenskämnet då den är det första läromedlet som elever möter när de börjar skolan. Den tryckta läroboken har haft en avgörande roll i skolan under en längre tid. Trots att skolan idag präglas av en mängd medier har de tryckta läromedlen behållit sin roll och används ofta som en grundpelare i undervisningen. Skolverket anser att undervisningen ska präglas av ett jämställdhetsperspektiv samt kvinnors och mäns lika värde. Syftet med litteraturstudien har varit att granska läromedelsanalyser och vetenskapliga artiklar angående läromedel i svenskämnet med inriktning på ett genusperspektiv. De frågeställningar som ställdes i arbetet handlade om andelen män och kvinnor i läromedlen, stereotypiska föreställningar om kvinnor och män i läromedlen samt i vilken utsträckning läromedlen överensstämmer med jämställdhetskraven i respektive läroplan. För att besvara syfte och frågeställningar genomfördes en systematisk litteraturstudie där sökning och sammanställning gjordes utifrån bestämda kriterier. Resultatet visade att stereotyperna angående kvinnor och män diversifierades efter 1960-talet. Utifrån resultatet drogs en slutsats att samhällets normer gav stereotypiska föreställningar om könen och relationen dem emellan. De undersökta studierna kom fram till att män och kvinnor beskrivs olika i de undersökta läromedlen. Ytterligare en slutsats som drogs utifrån resultatet var att efter 1960-talet har samtliga läroplaner innehållit formuleringar om jämställdhet, det vill säga föreskrivit att skolan ska motverka stereotyper. Endast hälften av de undersökta läromedlen möter jämställdhetskraven i läroplanerna. Majoriteten av de undersökta studierna kom fram till att ett manligt perspektiv dominerar i läromedlen. Förändringarna i läromedlen visar att samhället är konstant föränderligt och vad som anses vara viktigt i skolan ändras utefter det. Läromedlen förändras emellertid inte alltid i samma takt som styrdokumentens skrivningar och kan än idag reflektera en tämligen stark ojämlikhet mellan könen. Min slutsats är att det inte går att garantera att skolans jämställdhetsmål uppfylls så länge den enskilda läraren ensam får besluta vilka läromedel som ska användas eller inte användas i undervisningen; här skulle ett större mått av granskning eller styrning behövas.

In this prospective, longitudinal, cohort study, the authors systematically characterized the frequency, onset, and diagnostic performance of 62 clinical signs for impending death in 357 advanced cancer patients admitted to two acute palliative care units. “Early signs” (e.g., Palliative Performance Scale <20%, Richmond Agitation Sedation Scale ≤–2) had a high frequency over the last 3 days but low positive predictive ratios (LRs) for impending death within 3 days. In contract, “late signs” (e.g., death rattle, respiration with mandibular movement, peripheral cyanosis) had a low frequency but high specificity and high positive LR. In addition, seven neurological signs (e.g., decreased response to verbal stimuli, drooping of nasolabial fold, grunting of vocal cords) and upper gastrointestinal bleeding had high positive LRs for impending death within 3 days. Upon further validation, these signs may assist clinicians in formulating the diagnosis of impending death and patients and families in preparing ahead.

AbstractThis chapter analyzes the impact of climate change and variability on food security of rural households in the central highlands of Ethiopia taking Basona Werana district as a case study site. Data were obtained from 123 households selected using simple random sampling from three agro ecological zones. Key informant interviews and focus group discussion (FDG) were used to supplement the data obtained from household survey. The monthly rainfall and temperature data are for 56 points of 10 × 10 km grids reconstructed from weather stations and meteorological satellite observations, which cover the period between 1983 and 2016. Standardized rainfall anomaly (SRA), linear regression (LR), and coefficient of variation (CV) are used to examine inter-annual and intra-annual variability of rainfall. Annual and seasonal rainfalls show decreasing trends over the period of observation. The decreasing trends in annual and March–May (Belg) rainfall totals exhibit statically significant decreasing trends at p = 0.05 level. Kiremt (June–September) shows statically significant decreasing trends at p = 0.1 level. Mean annual maximum and minimum temperatures show statically significant increasing trends at p = 0.05 level. More than 80% of households perceived that the climate is changing and their livelihoods (crop and livestock production) are impacted. The district belongs to one of the most vulnerable areas to climate change and variability in the country where large proportions of households (62%) are under different food insecurity classes. Results suggest that local level investigations are useful in developing context-specific climate change adaptation.

Currently, i.e., in 2016, 4361 nuclear-power reactors operate in the world. 96.6% of these reactors are water-cooled (373 reactors (280 PWRs, 78 BWRs and 15 LGRs are cooled with light water and 48 reactors — PHWRs are cooled with heavy water. 15% of all water-cooled reactors are pressure-channel or pressure-tube design, the rest — pressure-vessel design. All current NPPs with water-cooled reactors have relatively low thermal efficiencies within 30–36% compared to that of current NPPs with AGRs (42%) and SFR (40%) and compared to that of modern advanced thermal power plants: combined-cycle plants (up to 62%) and supercritical-pressure coal-fired plants (up to 55%). Therefore, it is very important to propose ways of improvement of thermal efficiency for this largest group of nuclear-power reactors. It should be noted that among six Generation-IV nuclear-reactor concepts one concept is a SCWR, which might reach thermal efficiencies within the range of 45–50% and even beyond. However, this concept has been never tested, and the most difficult problem on the way of implementation of this type of reactor is the reliability of materials at supercritical pressures and temperatures, very aggressive reactor coolant – supercritical water, and high neutron flux. Up till now, no experiments on behavior of various core materials at these conditions have been reported so far in the open literature. As an interim way of thermal-efficiency improvement for water-cooled NPPs nuclear steam reheat can be considered. However, this way is more appropriate only for pressure-channel reactors, for example, CANDU-type or PHWRs. Moreover, in the 60’s and 70’s, Russia, the USA and some other countries have developed and implemented the nuclear steam reheat in subcritical-pressure experimental boiling reactors. Therefore, an objective of the current paper is to summarize this experience and to estimate effect of a number of parameters on thermal efficiencies of a generic pressure-channel reactors with nuclear steam reheat. For this purpose the DE-TOP program has been used.
