Discrete inequalities of the Lieb and Thirring type involving functions of several independent variables and their forward differences are established. The proofs given here are elementary and the results established provide new estimates on these types of inequalities.

Abstract:
The matrix eigenvalue is very important in matrix analysis, and it has been applied to matrix trace inequalities, such as the Lieb–Thirring–Araki theorem and Thompson–Golden theorem. In this manuscript, we obtain a matrix eigenvalue inequality by using the Stein–Hirschman operator interpolation inequality; then, according to the properties of exterior algebra and the Schur-convex function, we provide a new proof for the generalization of the Lieb–Thirring–Araki theorem and Furuta theorem.

Abstract:
This thesis is devoted to quantitative questions about the discrete spectrum of Schrödinger-type operators. In Paper I we show that the Lieb-Thirring inequalities on moments of negative eigen¬values remain true, with possibly different constants, when the critical Hardy weight is subtracted from the Laplace operator. In Paper II we prove that the one-dimensional analog of this inequality holds even for the critical value of the moment parameter. In Paper III we establish Hardy-Lieb-Thirring inequalities for fractional powers of the Laplace operator and, in particular, relativistic Schrödinger

Abstract:
Following Exner et al. (Commun. Math. Phys. 26 (2014), no. 2, 531–541), we prove new Lieb-Thirring inequalities for a general class of self-adjoint, second order differential operators with matrix-valued potentials, acting in one space-dimension. This class contains, but is not restricted to, the magnetic and non-magnetic Schrödinger operators. We consider the three cases of functions defined on all reals, all positive reals, and an interval, respectively, and acquire three different kinds of bounds. We also investigate the spectral properties of a family of operators from conformal field theo

Abstract:
The work presented in this thesis revolves around spectral inequalities and their applications in quantum mechanics. In Paper A, the ground state energy of an atom confined to two dimensions is analyzed in the limit when the charge of the nucleus Z becomes very large. The main result is a two-term asymptotic expansion of the ground state energy in terms of Z. Paper B deals with Hardy inequalities for the kinetic energy of a particle in the presence of an external magnetic field. If the magnetic field has a non-trivial radial component, we show that Hardy’s classical lower bound can be improved

Abstract:
