Full textObject: to determine the effects of physical therapy for nurses working in the nursing section of the lumbar spine pain and function. Hypothesis of research – we think that the use of lumbar spine exercises and lumbar strain Saunders apparatus lumbar spine pain will decrease and the function is going to get better. Spinal diseases are very common in all world: about 80 percent of world population at least once felt one or another back pain intensity. About 20 percent of population back pain, lasting for three or more days is periodically recurring (Seibutis, 2008). Low back pain is a very common disorder, but mostly is determinated for able – bodied persons aged from 30 till 50 years old (Secer et al., 2009). Relevance of the subject – in the care unit working staff have to deal with the lack of nursing tools and lifting equipment and a heavy workload, because staff complaining to of troublesome of low back pain about incorrect patient lifting and turning (Aw et al., 2013). Previous investigations of foreign authors, it was found that nurses working in particular among frequent is pain in the lumbar spine, which it is necessary to monitor the occurrence of and to take measures for its reduction (d'Errico et al., 2013). Newness of the subject – research and articles about nursing for nurses working in the section of the back lumbar pain is not a lot of. Whereas the sections working in nursing nurses working conditions and the lack of attention given to the workload, decreasing... [to full text]

Full textBody core and the power house is the main terms used interchangeably, not only pilates but also in medicine, and sports (Cech & Martin, 2002). Pilates is a total body core strengthening (Hodges & Richardson, 1999; Nicholas et al, 1976). Body core stabilization is effective and rehabilitation and sports programs (Dudonienė, 2008 , S. McGill , 2007, 2012 HS Rhee, SP Kumar , 2011 , and others. ) . Kibleris (2006) Cholevicki J. and Van Viet J.J.T. (2002) believe that the core muscles of the body are some of the major muscles and stabilizing exercises can be effective when covering the entire lumbar muscle. Lumbar segments of the stability of the biomechanics of the body is an important component of failure can affect spinal lumbar pain occur (Kumar, 2011). It is argued that cross multiple abdominal and back muscles are important in stabilizing the spine (Allison et al., 2008). On unstable surfaces or one limb positions requiring higher body core muscle (Faria, 2007). Key words: Back and abdominal muscle endurance, Pilates method, stabilizing exercises, body core . Subject: of the 4 months term stabilizing effect of exercise on trunk muscle endurance women Objective: Set of 4 months term stabilizing exercises on female torso muscle endurance. Tasks: 1. Full textBack pain is a common problem and one of enormous social, psychologic, and economic burden. 15 – 20% of adult population experience back pain at least once in a year, and 70 – 80% experience back pain at least once in the lifetime. Meanwhile 5 – 10% suffers from chronic back pain. Back pain afflicts about 40% of working population and is a major cause of disability in the adult working population. Aquatic therapy is an effective way for controling back pain and muscle – sceletal features. The objective of this research is to define the effects of aquatic therapy on back pain, back mobility, posture and trunk muscle endurance. In order to obtain the objective we came up with the next targets: to measure the variation of posture, back mobility, trunk muscle, back pain when applying aquatic therapy and to estimate and assess the lifestyle of the participants. We hypothesized that aquatic therapy will reduce back pain, increase back mobility, trunk muscle endurance and improve posture. 14 people with back pain participated in the research (5 men and 9 women) with the average age of 32±6,9 years. Aquatic therapy sessions were held twice a week in the swimming pool of Lithuanian Academy of Physical Education. It took 45 minutes for a session. The next measures have been taken: pain (after each session), posture evaluation (2 times), back mobility and trunk muscle endurance have been measured in the beginning of the research and every 10 weeks (4 times). Data analysis identified... [to full text]

Full textA lumbar pain is a relevant problem of modern athletes. The causes of these pains and the ways of avoidance and prevention of them have been analysed in many sports branches. In boxing, however, not much has been done regarding spine pains. The study on the cause of pain and its prevention when exercising boxing would enable to reduce the possibility of pain and ensure full range preparation of an athlete. Before initiating the study, a problem question was formulated: is it possible to improve the mobility of the spine and avoid or, at least, diminish low back pains by applying stretching exercises in the boxing sport branch. The aim of the paper is to test stretching exercises effect, of boxers trunk muscles endurance, low back pain prevention and spine mobility. The following objectives have been set to achieve the aim of the study: 1. To asses the lumbar pain and pain power of investigatives. 2. To assess investigatives, who felt low back pain, pain alteration, back muscle endurance, spine mobility and shoulders symmetry, before and after technical readiness of training, whereat was applied streching exercises. 3. To asses investigatives, who didn‘t felt low back pain, pain alteration, back muscle endurance, spine mobility and shoulders symmetry, before and after technical readiness of training, whereat the streching exercises was not applied. 4. To evaluate the correlation between: back muscle endurance with lumbar pains, on I and II testing, side mobility... [to full text]

Full textObject of research: Stamina of 16-18 years old girls waist muscle and effect with therapeutic balls for it. Exercises on unstable surfaces are more effective than those on stable surface, seeking for improvement of muscular waist stamina (Hodges et al., 1996; Anderson & Behm, 2005). When stamina of waist muscle is increased, posture also improves (Dudoniene and Radzeviciute, 2010). Hypothesis is held, that systematic integration of exercises with therapeutic balls (on unstable surface) into after-school sports activity of school age girls, will take a positive effect for the stamina of their waist muscle. Purpose of work: to determine the effect of exercises with therapeutic balls (on unstable surface) for 16-18 years old girls waist muscle stamina. Goals of work: 1. To determine and compare the stamina between 16-18 years old girls waist muscle before starting the exercises with therapeutic balls (on unstable surface) and girls, which will do exercises on stable surfaces. 2. To determine and compare the stamina between 16-18 years old girls waist muscle after 4 weeks of exercises with therapeutic balls (on unstable surface) and girls, which have done exercises on stable surfaces. 3.
