Abstract:
Lo scopo del presente elaborato è la proposta di traduzione in italiano di Nuestro mundo muerto, una raccolta di otto racconti dell’autrice boliviana Liliana Colanzi, considerata una delle promesse della letteratura latinoamericana contemporanea. Il primo capitolo offre un’analisi dettagliata dell’opera: partendo da una breve biografia dell’autrice e da una trattazione concisa delle altre sue opere pubblicate, si concentra sulla trama dei singoli racconti, sull’analisi tematica della raccolta, sullo stile dell’autrice, nonché sull’esposizione delle caratteristiche del castellano di Bolivia riscontrabili nel testo. Il secondo capitolo è costituito da una breve trattazione delle divisioni sociali ed etniche che sono proprie della Bolivia e che permeano ogni pagina dei racconti. Una breve descrizione del mito del mestizaje, l’incrocio di razze offerto come soluzione fallimentare al problema etnico, è seguito da un’ampia definizione del termine cholo e dalla spiegazione della distinzione etnica tra camba e colla. Infine, un paragrafo a parte è dedicato alla popolazione indigena degli ayoreo, con particolare attenzione al lavoro dell’etnologo Lucas Bessire, citato dall’autrice, che denuncia la devastazione della loro cultura e del loro territorio. Il terzo capitolo propone la traduzione degli otto racconti, con l’aggiunta di un glossario dei termini del testo legati in maniera particolare alla cultura di partenza. Il quarto capitolo è di commento alla traduzione. Per quanto non sia possibile definire una strategia di traduzione globale, l’obiettivo di fondo è stato quello di mantenere l’alterità del testo e le sue specificità culturali, oltre che il rispetto dello stile dell’autrice. L’appendice riporta l’intervista a Liliana Colanzi svolta durante la stesura dell’elaborato.

Abstract:
In this thesis, I am utilizing Liliana Cavani’s controversial 1974 film The Night Porter to acknowledge the significance of pornography in historical representation and memory work as related to the Holocaust. I will discuss the importance of representations rooted in the corporeal and relegated to the obscene and argue that the term pornography is used in academic, political and popular circumstances to attack texts that disrupt or threaten a dominant, pre-existing understanding of the world. Having been largely misunderstood for the last three decades (and criticized by major scholars, including Michel Foucault, Susan Sontag and Primo Levi), Ii Night Porter uses the languages of pornography and masochism to initiate a forceful historical dialogue that calls for a re-evaluation of the criteria used to gage and evaluate the past. The Night Porter argues that culture consoles itself in simplistic, “moral” readings of history. It subsequently attacks the concept of post-Holocaust redemption and issues related to the reassurances of redemptive logic with which culture has long kept itself warm. I propose pornography to be disruptive when placed alongside historical representation because it gestures to historical dialogues that dominant discourses are fearful of having. The film is complicated further by the fact that it was marketed, not as contemplative art cinema, but as kinky pornography by its American distributor. The Night Porter however, comes with even more problematic implications, including a cycle of low-rent sexploitation films that depict sensationalized and inept representations of concentration camps. The most notorious examples are Gestapo’s Last Orgy and SS Experiment Love Camp — ripoffs of The Night Porter that, until recently, have been banned or otherwise unavailable. My discussion of pornography and the obscene is complicated by Nazi sexploitation insofar that they follow the same narrative trajectory as The Night Porter, but carry with them very different ontological implications. I will conclude my thesis with an examination of these films in an effort to acknowledge the pornographic as a cultural necessity with regard to engaging in dialogue with, and reconciling, history.

El estudio de las acciones artísticas La Papa y Uni-forme Ejercicio para Re/acordar responde a una necesidad de ampliar la bibliografía académica desarrollada hasta el momento acerca del arte acción peruano. El trabajo de Liliana Albornoz resulta interesante y necesario, pues cada una de sus piezas reúne elementos característicos de la identidad peruana, tratando, simultáneamente, temas de violencia política y discriminación hacia la mujer. Es así que su obra se enmarca dentro del arte acción realizado por mujeres latinoamericanas que desarrollan y exploran el tema del cuerpo, la mujer y la violencia perpetrada por organismos de poder. El trabajo de la mujer en arte acción es particularmente importante, pues el hecho de que presente su cuerpo de manera pública, más aún de una forma irreverente que juega con los roles tradicionalmente asociados e impuestos a ella es, de por sí, un acto de cuestionamiento de los mandatos de género patriarcales que rigen la sociedad. En el presente estudio analizo cómo, a través del cuerpo, la acción desplegada y la relación entre la artista y la audiencia, elementos que conforman las acciones, éstas cuestionan el silencio, la pasividad y la sumisión, condiciones atribuidas a la mujer. La artista busca activar a los espectadores, para establecer una relación horizontal entre todos los miembros que forman parte de la acción escénica. El cuerpo y la acción, presentadas en La Papa y en Uni-forme Ejercicio para Re/acordar, activan la percepción multiespacial de los espectadores, resultando una experiencia en la cual, tanto artista como participantes, transforman e integran su cuerpo y su mente, para transformar los roles dentro de la acción escénica

Esta tesis se propone abordar una selección de novelas de las escritoras rumanas más reconocidas: Cruciada copiilor, 2005 (La cruzada de los niños, 2010), de Florina Ilis, Lizoanca la 11 ani, 2009, (Eliza a los once años, 2014), Hai să furăm pepeni 2010 [Vamos a robar melones], de Nora Iuga y Kinderland 2013, de Liliana Corobca, autoras de universos que corresponden a sus propios valores, desde su perspectiva como mujeres, y retratan de una manera inédita y particular aspectos de la cotidianeidad rumana poscomunista con matices que pueden explicarse a partir de la persistencia de las disposiciones y mentalidades construidas durante la época del régimen totalitarista. Las perspectivas que, desde la ficción, proponen las autoras rumanas, ayudan a problematizar estereotipos relacionados con la vida de las mujeres relacionados con la dependencia, los cuidados y la afiliación o temas tabú, como la sexualidad, las fantasías o el deseo, en especial en la infancia, un período importante en el desarrollo de las personas. A partir del análisis de estas novelas, esta tesis pretende ofrecer una reflexión en torno a la vulnerabilidad y la violencia en la infancia en femenino poniendo de relieve la complejidad conceptual inherente a tales situaciones bajo el período poscomunista, y también tratar las diferentes aportaciones teóricas para su conceptualización y análisis. Esta tesis se estructura en dos bloques: el primero tiene un enfoque basado en la teorización y el análisis de la vulnerabilidad en la infancia y el segundo analiza la violencia, cuyas huellas permanecen a lo largo de la formación del sujeto. El primer bloque se centra en el concepto de vulnerabilidad (Butler 2004) en relación con el habitus (Bourdieu 1990) y la construcción de la infancia, etapa en la cual las niñas ocupan su lugar conforme a un estereotipo de género. El segundo, se propone abordar el concepto de violencia, tanto a nivel teórico como a nivel de lectura de las novelas, para poner en evidencia que las niñas están siempre bajo el dominio del otro y cumplen con los requisitos que les otorga su condición de vulnerables (Cavarero 2009)
This dissertation aims to explore a selection of novels by today’s most renowned Romanian female writers: Cruciada copiilor, 2005 (La cruzada de los niños, 2010, [The children’s crusade]), by Florina Ilis, Lizoanca la 11 ani, 2009, (Eliza a los once años, 2014, [Lizoanca at age 11], Hai să furăm pepeni, 2010 [Let’s steal melons], by Nora Iuga and Kinderland, 2012, by Liliana Corobca. These authors have created, from their perspectives as women, literary universes that correspond to their own values, and they portray post-Communist Romanian daily life in unprecedented and particular ways. Through their writings, they describe the rulings and mentalities set out during the totalitarian regime that Romania experienced. The perspectives put forward by these Romanian writers help to problematize stereotypes regarding women’s lives, related to dependence, care and affiliation, or taboo subjects, such as sexuality, fantasies, desires, especially during childhood, an important stage for someone’s development. This approach opens new fields of interpretation, for the novels here analyzed bring into focus new reflections on childhood and help to deconstruct those topics in which girls are perceived as angelical, tender and invisible beings, or those in which they are constructed as perpetually passive or as victims. The thesis is structured in two parts: the first one proposes a theorization and an analysis of vulnerability during childhood, and the second one analyses the violence whose traces remain in the formation of the subject. The first one is dedicated to a rethinking of the concept of vulnerability (Butler 2004) in relation to the habitus (Bordieu 1990) and to the construction of childhood, a stage in which girls understand their place in the world according to their gender stereotype. The second one aims to analyze the concept of violence, from both a theoretical and a fictional point of view, in order to highlight the fact that girls are always under domination and that they fulfil the requirements that their vulnerable status give them (Cavarero 2009).

Determina la relación existe entre el estilo de liderazgo directivo de cada uno de los Directores y el Desempeño Docente en el Instituto Superior Tecnológico Público “Gilda Liliana Ballivián Rosado” entre los años 2006-2011. Para lograr esta investigación se contó con la colaboración de 60 profesores nombrados, tres directores y 250 alumnos, que fueron los que contestaron las tres encuestas básicas en su debida oportunidad y por ende en tiempos diferentes, como lo solicitó el presente trabajo de investigación. Existe una relación muy fuerte entre el estilo de liderazgo y el desempeño docente, se pudo notar, en los docentes y trabajadores, cambios definidos de actitudes.

La Literatura contemporánea refleja los hechos y los elementos de la cultura sobre la que discurre, haciendo o no juicio de valor. En este sentido, los contextos literarios tanto argentino como brasileño, igual que en la mayor parte de Latinoamérica, sufrieron fuerte influencia de la economía, de los comportamientos sociales corrientes y, sobre todo, de la política, pautada por cambios de gobiernos democráticos a autocráticos, que ejercieron presiones sobre el conocimiento explícito compartido en la sociedad, en especial en la literatura, bajo la forma de censura a las obras y represión a los autores. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo realizar un análisis literario, comparando y describiendo los efectos de los regímenes dictatoriales argentino y brasileño de las décadas de 1960 a 1980, en las obras literarias de los dos países, discutiendo las características predominantes, la forma textual y su valor documental de denuncia de los excesos cometidos por dichos regímenes políticos. Para eso, se analizan dos obras: El fin de la historia (1996), de Liliana Heker, con foco en la dictadura argentina, y K. Relato de uma busca (2014), de Bernardo Kucinski, que aborda la dictadura brasileña. En suma, el presente trabajo de investigación pretende describir aspectos de la literatura de Brasil y de Argentina referentes al período dictatorial analizado, al mismo tiempo, comparando con la manera como cada autor recurrió a la metáfora para tratar de los mismos temas.

Este trabalho tem como objetivo realizar uma análise literária, comparando e descrevendo os efeitos dos regimes ditatoriais argentino e brasileiro das décadas de 1960 a 1980, nas obras literárias dos dois países, discutindo as características predominantes, a forma textual e seu valor documental de denúncia dos excessos cometidos por tais regimes políticos. Para tanto, são analisadas duas obras: El fin de la historia (2010), de Liliana Heker, com foco na ditadura argentina; e K. Relato de uma busca (2014), de Bernardo Kucinski, que aborda a ditadura brasileira. Dessa forma, o presente trabalho de pesquisa pretende descrever aspectos da literatura do Brasil e da Argentina referente ao período ditatorial analisado e, ao mesmo tempo, comparando a maneira pela qual cada autor recorreu a metáfora para tratar dos mesmos temas.

Abstract:
Esta tesina estudia la relación entre personajes y paisajes naturales devastados a partir de una perspectiva afectiva en dos textos narrativos de autores bolivianos contemporáneos, a saber, la novela Los afectos (2015) de Rodrigo Hasbún y el cuento “Nuestro mundo muerto” (2016) de Liliana Colanzi con el objetivo de establecer la manera en que estos textos expresan un trauma terrestre, entendido como fuertes emociones relacionadas con la devastación del paisaje natural. Ambos textos retratan paisajes naturales transformados por el ser humano: mientras el texto de Hasbún consiste en una expedición científica-arqueológica por europeos que destruye la selva boliviana en el siglo XX, el cuento futurista de Colanzi consiste en la colonización del planeta Marte después de la contaminación de la Tierra debido a un accidente radiactivo. Este estudio parte del supuesto de que la expresión de un trauma terrestre en los acercamientos al espacio y al paisaje en los textos de Hasbún y Colanzi muestra una tendencia diferente a la señalada por los estudios previos que sostienen que la narrativa boliviana contemporánea, donde se incluyen Hasbún y Colanzi, elabora el espacio desde la intimidad del sujeto, alejándose así de lo tradicional, así como de la historia y cultura boliviana. Para llevar a cabo el análisis, parto de perspectivas teóricas que abordan las relaciones entre literatura y espacios naturales dañados a partir de nociones dentro de la corriente ecocrítica (Barbas-Rhoden 2012), la crítica que trata los afectos en relación con el espacio (Depetris Chauvin 2019; Nouzeilles 2002) y la noción de trauma terrestre (Casid 2018). Asimismo, este estudio se vale de términos de la narratología que sirven para analizar cómo se relacionan los personajes con el paisaje en términos del discurso narrativo. La primera parte del análisis se concentra en Los afectos, donde estudio cómo la narración y el registro ocular del personaje secundario Heidi registra una necroescena (Casid) creada por la filmación y expedición arqueológica. Asimismo, estudio cómo el registro ocular de Heidi expresa dolor por la devastación de la selva boliviana y los seres que la habitan cuando estos son usados como material de investigación por el equipo de expedición arqueológica y científica europeo, y de esta manera esta dimensión afectiva del cuento apela a una conciencia espacial (Depetris Chauvin). En la segunda parte del análisis me enfoco en el cuento “Nuestro mundo muerto”, donde estudio cómo la narración de Mirka, la protagonista, relata episodios alucinatorios y retrospectivos que incluyen seres míticos y voces ancestrales, asimismo me concentro en la visión de Mirka de un niño-pez, un ser entre humano y no humano (Barbas-Rhoden) como forma de un futuro posible. Los resultados muestran que estos dos textos configuran un trauma terrestre que pone de relieve un dolor y una herida como afectos que vinculan los personajes estudiados con los paisajes naturales devastados. En el caso de Los afectos el trauma terrestre se expresa en la visión ocular no técnica de Heidi que registra el dolor tanto humano como de animales autóctonos en la destrucción de la selva boliviana, más allá de la mirada científica-técnica dominante, lo que evoca, a partir de este afecto, la historia de colonización de la naturaleza en América. En el caso de “Nuestro mundo muerto”, el trauma terrestre se expresa en términos de analepsis y alucinaciones que registran seres mitológicos y voces ancestrales de comunidades indígenas del Gran Chaco, y de esta manera, en la expresión de este trauma, el cuento une la historia de devastación de la naturaleza en la Conquista con la destrucción moderna.

Abstract:
This thesis considers prose texts by the Austrian authors Marlene Streeruwitz and Lilian Faschinger from the viewpoint of intertextuality. The research does not rely on the narrow definitions of intertextuality which are concerned with the appearance of an anterior text in a later text, or on studies of source and influence. Rather my treatment of the novels considers the way meanings are constructed by a network of cultural and social discourses which embody distinct codes, expectations and assumptions. This study discusses the ways in which the chosen texts, through their intertexts, display a postmodern impetus towards reappropriating authorized discourse in new and challenging ways, from feminist perspectives. My intertextual readings are alert to two main threads – the critique of aspects of Austrian society evident in the novels of Streeruwitz and Faschinger and their place within the tradition of Österreich-Beschimpfung, and the interventions into issues pertaining to gender. I examine thematic similarities and differences in the texts, which draw attention to specifically Austrian or gender related issues, as well as scrutinizing formal and linguistic elements. Ultimately, my thesis poses and suggests answers to questions regarding strategies of intervention by feminist authors and the fruitfulness of intertextual readings.

Abstract:
This thesis compares how Lilian Ngoyi of South Africa and Fannie Lou Hamer of the United States crafted political identities and assumed powerful leadership, respectively, in struggles against racial oppression via the African National Congress and the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee. The study asserts that Ngoyi and Hamer used alternative sources of personal power which arose from their location in the intersecting social categories of culture, gender and class. These categories challenge traditional disciplinary boundaries and complicate any analysis of political economy, state power relations and black liberation studies which minimize the contributions of women. Also, by analyzing resistance leadership squarely within both African and North American contexts, this thesis answers the call of scholar Patrick Manning for a “homeland and diaspora” model which positions Africa itself within the historiography of transnational academic debates.
