The lime milk was ground with colloid mill in which the particles became finer and modified with mechanical intensification. The results, after the lime milk was ground for 60s and then used to the clarification of sugar juice, showed that: the purity of the clarified juice increased 1.5~2.0 percentage points, the lime salts decreased 0.02 percentage point, the color value and the reducing sugar also went down.

Milk of lime is used in the sugar industry for pH correction and as auxiliary of flocculation in bleaching of the sugar solution. Despite its intense use in sugar cane industry, the milk of lime is rudimentarily produced. The milk of lime badly produced adds great quantities of incrustation in process pipelines and equipments and increases its specific consumption in the process. To mitigate these undesirable effects it is necessary to prepare a milk of lime with appropriated chemical, physical and morphological characteristics. Altering milk composition via transgenesis depends on three main factors. (1) The availability of an efficient regulatory sequences for targeting transgene(s) to the mammary gland; (2) a reliable in vitro model to test the expression of transgenes prior to their introduction to the animal genome; and (3) better understanding of the major factors which determine the rate of gene expression and protein synthesis. The current studies provide the necessary means and knowledge to alter milk protein composition via transgenesis. The following specific goals were achieved: a: Identifying regulatory r

Abstract:
The memoirs of (post-) punk musician Viv Albertine address the issue of choice or lack thereof in romantic and family relationships. They depict a world in which choice of romantic partners appears normal if often unsuccessful, whereas choice within family relationships is restricted. It is self-evident that one cannot choose one’s blood relatives. However, amplified by Albertine’s scepticism towards any social relationships, her two memoirs represent ‘negative choice’ (Eva Illouz) in heterosexual romantic relationships and the complex ways in which negative choice can change family dynamics.

CLOCK and BMAL1 are core components of the circadian clock and as heterodimers function as a transcription factor to drive circadian-rhythms of gene expression. Studies of CLOCK-mutant mice found impaired mammary development in late pregnancy was related to poor lactation p

Abstract:
This report describes publicly available data sets and quantitative analysis that local communities can use to evaluate environmental justice concerns associated with pipeline projects. We applied these data and analytical methods to two counties in North Carolina (Northampton and Robeson counties) that would be affected by the proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline (ACP). We compared demographic and vulnerability characteristics of census blocks, census block groups, and census tracts that lie within 1 mile of the proposed pipeline route with corresponding census geographies that lie outside of the
