Abstract:
The melting process of Pd-Ni alloy nanobelts with different Ni atom content has been simulated by molecular dynamic (MD) method. The radial distribution function, the Lindemann index, and pair analysis method were used to characterize Pd-Ni nanobelt models in simulation. The results indicate that the melting temperature of Pd-Ni nanobelt with composition far from pure metal was lower than that of other models, and the breaking point of the nanobelt can be illustrated by the Lindemann index. Pair analysis indicates that the number of FCC pairs will decrease and almost disappear at melting point

Abstract:
To reduce the general formula for lattice specific heat to Einstein's formula of 1907, one traditionally models the spectrum of lattice modes-of-vibration as a set of independent oscillators all of one frequency, ν1. Not only is this a poor representation of a real solid, but no formula is provided for the frequency ν1, which has to be determined empirically. We offer a new and more compelling method for reducing the general formula to Einstein's formula. The reduction involves a simple mathematical approximation, proceeds without any reference to independent oscillators all of one frequency,

We have determined the melting slopes as a function of pressure for MgO up to a pressure of 135 GPa, and for LiF up to a pressure of 100 GPa using the Lindemann law. Values of melting temperature have also been calculated from the melting slopes using Euler’s finite difference calculus method. It is found that the melting slope decreases continuously with the increase in pressure giving a nonlinear pressure dependence of the melting temperature. Values of bulk modulus and the Grüneisen parameter appearing in the Lindemann law of melting have been determined using the Stacey reciprocal K-primed

Abstract:
In the early twentieth century, the saxophone was a new instrument in the United States. However, its popularity quickly grew as the instrument was featured in many genres of music, most notably military bands and jazz bands. Instrumental manufacturers sold millions of saxophones as demand for the instrument increased. However since the saxophone was so new, there was a lack of quality instruction. As a result, the general playing level of saxophonists was low. Saxophonist Henry Lindeman published one of the first comprehensive method books for the instrument in the United States in 1934. The

This procedure is indifferent to resonance in the eigenvalues. Some attention will be given to finding approximations to solutions which are themselves flows. Moreover, we will address the writing of one component in terms of another in the case of a planar system. In the second part of this thesis, we will explore the Michaelis-Menten mechani

This book provides initial potential answers to these questions generated by research. It presents and discusses central research approaches in an overview and, above all, on the basis of current concrete projects. This critical stocktaking is integrated into a heuristic framework model consisting of nine fields of conflicting interest that are specific to nursing care, for whose analysis qualitative methodological appro

This article examines the early years of the institutionalisation of professional music education in Norway. Against the background of a social and political debate on the need for a national conservatoire, the central question is why the first Norwegian music conservatoire did not develop out of a nationally motivated initiative but rather from a private organist school. By comparing the Organistskole of Ludvig Mathias and Peter Lindeman with the Musik-Akademi of Otto Winter-Hjelm and Edvard Grieg, different approaches to the realisation of a national conservatoire are outlined.
