Abstract:
The present article considers one-parameter families of second-order linear differential systems with a coefficient matrix depending on the real parameter, which is a diagonal matrix at each odd time interval of unit length. The Cauchy matrix is the rotation matrix at each odd time interval, whereas the angle is the sum of a parameter value and some real number. Earlier, it has been has proved that the upper Lyapunov exponent of each such a system, which is considered to be the function of parameter, is positive on the set of the positive Lebesque measure if the diagonal part of the coefficien

This paper is concerned with interval state estimation for a class of Linear Parameter-Varying systems with parametric uncertainties. Firstly, sufficient conditions to guarantee both the cooperativity and stability of observation error dynamics are presented in terms of parameterized matrix inequality formulations. Secondly, a novel method for scheduled controller law design is proposed in the framework of interval observer design. Under the assumptions that scheduled parameters have a polytopic structure property, the problems of the existence conditions of observers and scheduled controller

This paper investigates the problem of robust stability for linear parameter-dependent (LPD) discrete-time systems with interval time-varying delays. Based on the combination of model transformation, utilization of zero equation, and parameter-dependent Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, new delay-dependent robust stability conditions are obtained and formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness and less conservativeness of the proposed methods.

The problem of robust exponential stability analysis for nonlinear uncertain interval neural networks with time delay is investigated. The nonlinear uncertainties are assumed to satisfy the cone constraint conditions. The interval parameters of the neural networks are equivalent to norm matched parameter uncertainties via some matrix transformations. The stable criteria for the uncertain interval neural networks with time delays are developed by use of the Lyapunov stability theory. All the stability conditions in this paper are presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities.

Abstract This paper is concerned with robust stabilization of continuous linear positive time-delay systems with parametric uncertainties. The delay considered in this work is a bounded time-varying function. Previously, we have demonstrated that the equidistant delay-decomposition technique is less conservative when it is applied to linear positive time-delay systems. Thus, we use simply a delay bi-decomposition in an appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional. By using classical and partitioned control gains, the state-feedback controllers developed in our work are formulated in terms of lin

This operational matrix is applied together with generalized Laguerre tau method for solving general linear multiterm fractional differential equations (FDEs). The method has the advantage of obtaining the solution in terms of the generalized Laguerre parameter. In addition, only a small dimension of generalized Laguerre operational matrix is needed to obtain a satisfactory result. Illustrative examples re

This paper deals with the problems ofℋ∞performance and stability analysis for linear systems with interval time-varying delays. It is assumed that the parameter uncertainties are of stochastic properties to represent random change of various environments. By constructing a newly augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, less conservative criteria of the concerned systems are introduced with the framework of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Four numerical examples are given to show the improvements over the existing ones and the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

Abstract This paper considers the identifiability of state space models for a system that is expressed as a linear fractional transformation (LFT): a constant matrix (containing identified parameters) in feedback with a finite-dimensional, block-diagonal (“structured”) linear operator. This model structure can represent linear time-invariant, linear parameter-varying, uncertain, and multidimensional systems. Families of input-output equivalent realizations are characterized as manifolds in the parameter space whose tangent spaces — and orthogonal complements — can be obtained via singular valu

These two subproblems are combined into a set of Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMI) and concurrently solved. The multiple model design method is applied to longitudinal aircraft dyn
