In “How Wang Fo Was Saved”, the essay distinguishes three kinds of people in terms of their relationship to the world of art: the outsiders, the insiders, and the in-between. Wang Fo and Ling are the only insiders who really follow Dao (the way of all things). The essay argues that, Daoism is not only seen in Wang Fo’s paintings, it’s also lived by Wang Fo and Ling.

Abstract:

Studies of pre-1950s Chinese Canadian Christianity have tended to occlude Chinese perspectives and experiences for a number of reasons, including a lack of sources. Drawing on largely unpublished Chinese and English source materials including scrapbooks, correspondence, reports, membership rosters, marriage, funeral and clergy records, Chinese nationalist registers, diaries, oral histories, photographs and material culture, this article investigates Chinese experiences of Canadian Presbyterian missionary work in Victoria, Cumberland, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto and Montreal between 1896 and 1950. By examining the personal archival materials of Ma Seung, Frank Chan and Ernest Mark, and era-specific Chinese political involvements and fieldwork data, this article challenges previous simplistic understandings of the Chinese missionary experience that were based solely on the perspectives of mainstream Christian institutions and society. This article emphasizes the Chinese context and concepts such as the dao, efficacy ( ling), and affect ( renqing, or human sentiments) that guided relationships and faith in early Chinese Canada. It aims to provide a more complicated understanding of why Chinese ministers chose to Christianize fellow Chinese, and why before 1950 many Chinese chose to be nominal Christians and only a small number converted.

Abstract:

Để góp phần làm phong phú thêm sự hiểu biết về cây thuốc và kinh nghiệm sử dụng cây thuốc của cộng đồng các dân tộc thiểu số, chúng tôi đã tiến hành điều tra cây thuốc và kinh nghiệm sử dụng cây thuốc của đồng bào dân tộc Dao ở xã Đường Hồng, huyện Bắc Mê, tỉnh Hà Giang. Kết quả thu được 89 loài cây thuốc thuộc 76 chi, 44 họ của 2 ngành thực vật bậc cao có mạch. Trong đó, dạng cây thuốc được người Dao sử dụng nhiều nhất là dạng cây thảo với 25 loài. Nơi sống chủ yếu của cây thuốc ở khu vực nghiên cứu là ở rừng với 47 loài. Người Dao nơi đây thường dùng cả cây để làm thuốc chữa bệnh với 42 loài. Đặc biệt, nghiên cứu này chỉ ra rằng có 2 loài quý hiếm cần được bảo tồn theo Sách đỏ Việt Nam (phần Thực vật) ở khu vực nghiên cứu là Hà thủ ô đỏ - Fallopia multiflora (Thunb.) Haraldson thuộc họ Polygonaceae và Phá lủa - Tacca subflabellata P. P. Ling & C. T. Ting thuộc họ Taccaceae. Sự đặc sắc trong kinh nghiệm sử dụng cây thuốc của người Dao được thể hiện qua cách đặt tên cho các cây thuốc. Nghiên cứu này cho thấy, người Dao tại khu vực nghiên cứu có sự phong phú trong kinh nghiệm sử dụng cây thuốc trong điều trị bệnh.

Abstract:

Objective. The aim of the study is to develop a technique of potentiating traditional multimodal anesthesia with contact laser exposure to the body in the red range (650 nm) in patients with critical lower limb ischemia (CLI).Materials and methods. Multimodal anesthesia in the main group was performed with the potentiation of modern laser technology in 70 to 94 years old 35 patients [7 (20.0 %) women and 28 (80.0 %) men] with CLI and associated diseases. As a comparison group, a retrospective group of 23 patients was selected who underwent a high amputation of the lower extremities without potentiation of multimodal anesthesia with laser blood radiation. Multimodal anesthesia was additionally potentiated with quantum hemotherapy sessions. Sessions were carried out using a fifth-generation semiconductor contact laser irradiation of blood LASPOT (PRC) in the form of a wristwatch with an additional effect on the acupuncture points Nei-Guan, Tun-li – the heart meridian, connection with the inner world, Ling-dao – the meridian hearts, the road of the spirit. The first session was performed to patients before surgery — a duration of 15 minutes; the second — during surgery — a duration of 30 minutes.Results. The obtained data on the shifts of peripheral hemodynamic parameters at the stages of surgical interventions in patients of both groups practically did not demonstrate significant differences from the baseline values, reflecting the adequacy of the degree of anesthesiological protection. In patients of the main group, central hemodynamic indices: the cardiac index (CI) significantly increased from 2.81 ± 0.49 to 3.15 ± 0.58 (p < 0.05) l/min∙m2, and total peripheral vascular resistance (TPVR) decreased from 1587.5 ± 494.3 to 1492.7 ± 427.8 dyn∙s∙cm-5. In patients of the comparison group, CI increased during surgery from 2.83 ± 0.53 to 3.02 ± 0.35 l/min∙m2, and at the end of the operation it returned to baseline. Potentiation of multimodal anesthesia with modern laser technologies in patients of the main group made it possible to reduce during surgical interventions the average dose of fentanyl, which was 0.98 ± 0.12 mcg/kg/h, while in patients of the comparison group, the consumption of fentanyl was 3.28 ± 0.18 mcg/kg/h (with traditional combined general anesthesia, the flow rate of fentanyl during surgery is on average 5–12 mcg/kg/h or more).Conclusion. The method of potentiation of the traditional scheme of general combined anesthesia with optical radiation of the red range (650 nm) allows to achieve more pronounced effects of hemodynamic control, makes it possible to reduce the dose of fentanyl, reduce the pharmacological load on the operated patient.

Kampus STMIK Amik Riau telah menghubungkan setiap gedung menggunakan jaringan point to point dengan kapasitas bandwidth pada backbone tersedia sebesar 85 Mbps, dengan 368 user aktif. Berdasarkan Pengawas jaringan di router pada saat penggunaan maksimal, diperoleh data upline streaming sebesar 8 mbps dan downline streaming sebesar 78 mbps Lebar bandwidth yang tersedia berbanding kebutuhan adalah 120 Mbps.Masalah jaringan saat ini UpLink Line 1 merupakan jalur transmisi standar dari router 1 ke router 2 membagi kerja seluruh lalu lintas data, apabila terjadi peningkatan maka akan berpengaruh terhadap kecepatan akses data sehingga di butuhkan solusi agar tidak memperlambat jaringan. Penambahan jalur UpLink Line 2 sebagai pembagi beban komunikasi data. Metode Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) yang paling tepat untuk meningkatkan lebar kanal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi kebutuhan kanal untuk penggunaan aplikasi jaringan lokal dan lebar kanal untuk akses outgoing jaringan untuk menentukan lebar kanal maksimal yang harus disediakan. Fokus dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana Meningkatkan Throughput Bandwidth pada Up-Link Line menggunakan LACP, dilanjutkan dengan bagaimana mengimplementasikan LACP dalam meningkatkan kanal bandwidth Implementasi LACP untuk Meningkatkan Throughput Bandwidth pada Up-Link Line. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh device yang terdaftar di dalam log table MAC Address server router, sedangkan sampel penelitian adalah 20 MAC Address atau 60% pegawai STMIK Amik Riau. Landasan teori yang digunakan adalah protocol TCP/IP, MikroTik, dan Komunikasi Data. Pengujian dilakukan dengan Implementasi LACP untuk Meningkatkan Throughput Bandwidth pada Up-Link Line. Hasil pengujian membuktikan penambahan lebar kanal sebesdar sehingga terjadi peningkatan throughput yang dihasilkan sebesar 116,3 Mbps/104,4 Mbps (TX/RX).

Screw tree is a shrub from family Malvaceae that has many benefits in pharmacy. Screw tree seed has very hard seed coat, so the seed must be treated before germination. The aim of this research was to assess the characteristic of fruit and seeds, effect of seed breaking dormancy, and effect of NPK fertilizer dosage on the growth of screw tree (Helicteres isora) seedlings. The results indicated that screw tree fruits belong to dry fruits with capsule form and has 5 follicles that has different direction. Screw tree seed is orthodox type that has 9 ̶ 36 seeds in one follicle with triangle and square shape. Germination technique in laboratory with soaking the seeds in hot water 100oC until the water cool for 48 hours treatment produced the best germination amounting to 65.0%. Germination technique in green house with soaking the seeds in hot water 100oC until the water cool for 24 hours treatment was the best germination amounting to 77.0%. Seedlings fertilized with 1 g NPK doses increased screw tree growth in diameter parameter of 6.35 mm and shoot-root ratio parameter of 3.9 compared to control.

Dengan meningkatkan efisiensi pada lini produksi tangki tersebut makakapasitas produksi dapat meningkat karena hal ini akan mempengaruhi produktifitas agar tidak terjadi idletime yang berlebihan. Untuk menyelesaikan masalah tersebut data yang dikumpulkan adalah waktu siklustiap elemen kerja, setelah itu dilakukan pengolahan data yaitu melakukan pengujian, menghitung waktusiklus rata-rata, takt time, idle time, efisiensi dan balance delay sebelum serta sesudah perbaikan. Denganhasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa perbaikan lini produksi sangat perlu dilakukan.

Abstract:

Gaguritan Jaé Cekuh sebuah geguritan bermotif panji merupakan karya menggunakan nama tokoh yang unik, dengan nama-nama bumbu yang berganti di pertengahan cerita. Isi dari geguritan menarik untuk dibahas karena mengandung penyadaran yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Tulisan ini menerapkan teori semiotika yang membantu mengungkapkan fungsi dan makna éling dalam geguritan. Fungsi dalam Geguritan Jaé Cekuh diungkapkan melalui model yang terdapat dalam geguritan, sedangkan makna diungkapkan melalui varian yang terkandung dalam geguritan. Dengan melihat tingkat kehadiran fungsi dan makna Gaguritan Jaé Cekuh adalah penyadaran dalam melakukan kewajiban, penyadaran bertingkah laku serta pengendalian diri yang berguna di masyarakat.

Given the religious metaphysics of Russian Realism (Steiner 1995: 49), repentance is one of the pivotal moments necessary for the characters of Tolstoy’s and Dostoevsky’s works: it is through repentance that such characters radically change their lives, become aware of evil committed, and renounce evil forever; in other words, they die and are reborn. The two great novelists have, however, two very different attitudes towards repentance: Tolstoy examines all its aspects in the psychological consciousness of his characters, while Dostoyevsky shows their necessary openness to the transcendent world.

Latar belakang : Dislipidemia merupakan salah satu faktor risiko dari penyakit kardiovaskuler. Kacang hijau mengandung isoflavon, protein, dan serat yang diketahui dapat menurunkan kadar kolesterol LDL dan meningkatkan kolesterol HDL. Tujuan : Mengetahui perbedaan kadar kolesterol LDL dan HDL sebelum dan sesudah pemberian jus kacang hijau.Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan pretest - post test with control group design. Subjek adalah 28 pria dengan kadar kolesterol LDL 130-189 mg/dl dan kadar kolesterol HDL <60 mg/dl. Kelompok perlakuan mendapatkan jus kacang hijau 400 ml dan kelompok kontrol mendapatkan air minum kemasan selama 21 hari. Kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol diberikan konseling gizi sebelum intervensi. Kadar kolesterol LDL dan HDL diukur dengan menggunakan metode formula Friedewald dan phosphotungstic precipitation. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Dependent t-test, Independent t-tes, Mann Whitney, dan Fisher.Hasil : Pemberian jus kacang hijau 400 ml selama 21 hari pada kelompok perlakuan dapat menurunkan kadar LDL (-17,49±22,61) dan meningkatkan kadar kolesterol HDL (8,87±5,24) secara bermakna. Pada kelompok kontrol, terdapat penurunan yang tidak signifikan terhadap kadar kolesterol LDL (-0,83±24,30) dan terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan terhadap kadar kolesterol HDL (2,84±4,60). Terdapat perbedaan rerata perubahan kadar kolesterol HDL (p=0,003) antara kelompok kontrol dengan kelompok perlakuan, tetapi tidak terdapat perbedaan rerata perubahan kolesterol LDL (p=0,072) antara kelompok kontrol dengan kelompok perlakuanSimpulan : Pemberian jus kacang hijau 400ml/hari selama 21 hari tidak menurunkan kadar kolesterol LDL secara signifikan, tetapi meningkatkan kadar kolesterol HDL secara signifikan.

Konotasi mengacu kepada makna harmoni, yang berkaitan dengan konsep Tri Hita Karana di dalam ajaran Agama Hindu.

Abstract:

This study aims to determine the types of greetings and forms of T-V greetings used by Japanese teenagers. Sources of data used are data in the form of questionnaires, list of questions, and supported by data sourced from Japanese movies and Japanese cartoons (anime). The theory used is the theory of types of yobikake according Hiromi and Theory T-V Brown-Gillman (1960). Methods and techniques of data provision are made with questionnaires and interview methods to Japanese adolescents. Methods and techniques of data analysis are performed by referential reference method. Methods and techniques of presentation of data analysis results use informal and formal methods. Result of research shows that there are three kinds of greeting found. The three types of greeting, personal pronouns 'ninshoo daimeshi', greeting of the suffixed name of self / form Mr / Mrs 'keishou', and greeting in the term kinship 'shinzoku yougomei'. The greetings that are found contain the T-V form. Greetings of personal pronoun of the form of T found are atashi, ore, boku, jibun, wa-shi, a-shi, wa-shitachi, atashitachi, oretachi, uchira, anta, omae, kimi, temee, omaetachi, and minna. Greetings personal pronouns of V form found are watakushi, watashi, watashitachi, anata, anatatachi, minasama and minasan. The greetings of suffixed self name containing T shapes are greetings with the suffixes ~ kun and ~ chan. The greetings of suffixed self name containing V-shapes, are greetings with suffixes ~ sama, ~ dono, and ~ san. Greetings in the term kinship that contain the form T are ojiichan, jiiji, obaachan, baaba, papa, oyaji, otou, mama, okaa, kaasan, onii, oniichan, oneechan, neechan, and imoutochan. Greetings in the term kinship containing the form V, are ojiisan, obaasan, otousan, okaasan, oniisan, ani, ane, otouto, and imouto.

Abstract:

Semesta dan manusia memiliki hubungan yang saling berkaitan. Jika antara bhuwana agung dan bhuwana alit tidak seimbang, akan terjadi bencana alam dan kebobrokan mental manusia. Dalam teks Kakawin Hañang Nirartha dituliskan beberapa bait metrum yang menyuratkan keindahan alam sebagai refleksi dari bhuwana agung dan keelokan wanita sebagai refleksi dari bhuwana alit. Pujasmara merupakan sebuah wacana pemujaan yang dipersembahkan kepada Bhatara Smara dan Bhatari Ratih dalam manifestasinya sebagai dewa cinta. Cinta yang dimaksud di sini tidak hanya sekadar cinta terhadap lawan jenis, tetapi juga dapat mencintai diri sendiri dan menyadari keberadaan alam semesta sebagai tempat berinteraksi dengan makhluk hidup lainnya. Pada penelitian ini analisis difokuskan pada makna pujasmara yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna wacana pujasmara dalam Kakawin Hañang Nirartha. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori semiotika Roland Barthes mengenai makna pada tataran kedua. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah dengan melakukan persiapan, tugas lapangan, dan tahap analisis. Lokasi penelitian, yaitu di Pusat Kajian Lontar Universitas Udayana. Jenis data penelitian adalah data kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian, yaitu naskah berbentuk lontar yang berada di Pusat Kajian Lontar Universitas. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah kamus sebagai alat bantu menerjemahkan teks yang berbahasa Jawa Kuno ke bahasa sasaran. Metode dan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi kepustakaan. Metode dan teknik analisis data menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik deskriptif analitik. Metode dan teknik penyajian hasil analisis data menggunakan metode formal dan informal. Hasil penelitian terhadap makna Pujasmara, yakni cinta kasih dan cara untuk mengendalikan pikiran, pernapasan (pranayama) menuju kesadaran tertinggi. Ketika sudah mampu menyadari siapa dirinya, berserah diri, dan mulai memusatkan pikiran pada satu tujuan (moksa) barulah manusia dapat menunggal dengan Hyang Pencipta.

Abstract:

Artikel ini berjudul “Kekerabatan Kosa Kata Bahasa Karo, Bahasa Nias, dan Bahasa Simalungun di Kota Medan: Kajian Linguistik Historis Komparatif”. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi hubungan kekerabatan antara ketiga bahasa tersebut. Terdapat 42 pasangan kata yang berkerabat antara Bahasa Karo (BK) dengan Bahasa Nias (BN), yaitu sebesar 21%; terdapat 73 pasangan kata yang berkerabat antara Bahasa Karo (BK) dengan Bahasa Simalungun (BS), yaitu sebesar 37%; terdapat 47 pasangan kata yang berkerabat antara Bahasa Nias (BN) dengan Bahasa Simalungun (BS), yaitu sebesar 24%. Dari jumlah persentase kekerabatan tersebut dikelompokkan bahwa BK dan BN adalah keluarga bahasa. Selanjutnya, dihitung waktu pisah kedua bahasa yang dibandingkan melalui rumusan W = log C / 2 log r. Hasilnya adalah 3,597. Artinya BK dan BN adalah bahasa yang berkerabat dan merupakan satu bahasa yang sama sekitar 3,597 tahun yang lalu atau sekitar tahun 1,578 Sebelum Masehi (dihitung dari tahun 2019) dan termasuk dalam tingkat bahasa serumpun (family of stock). BK dan BS adalah bahasa kerabat dan merupakan satu bahasa yang sama sekitar 2,290 tahun yang lalu atau sekitar tahun 271 SM (dihitung dari tahun 2019), sebelum akhirnya berpisah dan termasuk dalam tingkat bahasa sekeluarga (language of family). Lalu BN dan BS adalah Bahasa yang berkerabat dan berpisah sekitar 3,288 tahun yang lalu atau sekitar tahun 1,269 SM (dihitung dari tahun 2019), dan termasuk dalam tingkat bahasa serumpun (family of stock). Abstract:

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca intensif siswa kelas V SDK Pau Ndoa menggunakan strategi PQ4R dan media teks cerita rakyat Rongga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran yakni kombinasi antara metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif khususnya model concurrent (kombinasi campuran) dengan bobot metode kualitatif lebih tinggi dari pada metode kuantitatif. Metode dan teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi, kuesioner, dan tes. Data kuantitatif dianalisis menggunakan metode statistik sederhana dalam bentuk persentase (%), sedangkan data kualitatif dianalisis dengan menggunakan kata-kata. Terdapat tiga aspek penilaian kemampuan membaca intensif siswa, yakni kecepatan membaca, pemahaman isi, dan simpulan isi cerita. Rentang nilai yang digunakan sebagai standar penilaian hasil akhir belajar siswa terbagi atas lima kategori, yakni sangat kurang (<40), kurang (41--55), cukup (56--70), baik (71--85), dan baik sekali (86--100). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada siklus I dan siklus II. Pada tahap pratindakan, dari Sembilan belas siswa SDK Pau Ndoa, Kabupaten Manggarai Timur yang dijadikan subjek penelitian, hanya dua orang siswa dengan persentase 11% yang dinyatakan tuntas mencapai standar KKM 60 yang diberlakukan di sekolah tersebut. Pada siklus I terdapat sembilan orang siswa dengan persentase 47% yang mencapai standar KKM atau terjadi peningkatan sebesar 36%. Pada siklus II semua siswa telah mencapai KKM. Ada dua faktor yang memengaruhi peningkatan kemampuan membaca intensif siswa SDK Pau Ndoa, yakni faktor internal yang meliputi penguasaan terhadap strategi PQ4R, peningkatan motivasi dan rasa percaya diri dalam membaca, dan peningkatan kemampuan membaca cepat. Sebaliknya, faktor eksternal meliputi penerapan strategi PQ4R dan penggunaan cerita lokal sebagai sumber belajar.
