Abstract:

In this paper, the author addresses the formational-aesthetic validity of lexeme glumište, meaningfulness of collocation spinning the public and a type of clause with no grammatical agent, common in journalistic style. An attempt is made to prove, in the first two cases, the lack of linguistic-normative sustainability of lexeme glumište and collocation spinning the public, which occurs as a result of combining incompatible linguistic units. In the case of a clause with no grammatical agent, the author recognizes influence of extra-linguistic context on the formation of a linguistic structure.
