In questa tesi si propone l'analisi della situazione dei russofoni residenti in Estonia. Dopo l'indipendenza dell'Estonia nel 1991, circa il 30% della popolazione è costituita da non estoni. Essi subiscono una discriminazione di carattere linguistico. Tale discriminazione è maggiormente espressa nell'ambito dell'istruzione, del mercato di lavoro e nei diritti civili. Inoltre un'ampia percentuale della popolazione che non possiede alcuna cittadinanza, cosa dovuta alla politica estone dopo l'indipendenza e il processo di naturalizzazione come unico modo per acquisire la cittadinanza.

This research investigates the linguistic coding and functions of exemplifying constructions (i.e., linguistic constructions that signify exemplification), with a special focus on their role in constructing on-line contextually relevant categories at the cognitive level (cf. Barsalou 1983, 2010, Mauri 2016).
