La vongola Chamelea gallina è un mollusco appartenente alla famiglia Veneridae avente un'ampia distribuzione nel Mediterraneo.
L’animale vive su fondali sabbiosi o sabbiosi – fangosi, con distribuzione aggregata, in prossimità della costa, a bassa profondità da 0 a 15metri. Nel presente studio è stata stimata sia la biomassa di Chamelea gallina espressa in kg/mq che la distribuzione di taglia, per valutare l’accrescimento della specie.
L’accrescimento della vongola, così come per altre specie fossorie è influenzato da fattori biotici e abiotici, come la temperatura, lo stato trofico delle acque, la natura dei sedimenti ed infine la densità.
Lo scopo di questa tesi è stato quello di monitorare l’attività di pesca delle vongole nel Compartimento di Rimini e raccogliere gli elementi conoscitivi esistenti a fine di ottimizzare la gestione della risorsa.
A tal fine sono state realizzate a Rimini due campagne di pesca nel mese di Luglio e Dicembre 2014, utilizzando una draga idraulica di tipo commerciale conforme agli standard previsti dalla legge. Il campionamento è stato effettuato su 9 transetti perpendicolari alla costa con stazioni a 0,25-0,50-0,75 e proseguendo 1 Miglio qualora nei campioni vi sia ancora la presenza di vongole.
A fine di valutare la frazione di individui con taglia inferiore a quella commerciale (25mm), all’interno della draga è stato posto un retino campionatore. Il materiale contenuto nella draga è stato selezionato al vibro-vaglio installato a bordo, attrezzato con griglie aventi fori del diametro di 19mm di apertura. Tutte le vongole trattenute dal vaglio sono state analizzate per ottenere una distribuzione di taglia.
I risultati acquisiti nel corso della presente indagine hanno evidenziato una generale situazione di sofferenza per la taglia commerciale. In particolare sono state catturate molte vongole della prima maturità sessuale (14mm).
Tutto ciò potrebbe essere proprio un’indicazione di banco in ricostituzione e ripresa dopo una situazione di crisi. Per quanto riguarda le forme giovanili i risultati ottenuti dalle due campagne di pesca indicano una notevole differenza di densità dei banchi di Chamelea gallina. Tali risultati sono stati ottenuti con il software ImageJ, il quale è in grado di rilevare la larghezza massima delle singole vongole.
Infine sono stati registrati i valori di biomassa espressi in kg/mq, evidenziando una discreta oscillazione di valori tra le stazioni campionate. Infatti in entrambi i campionamenti le stazioni situate all’ interno degli strati più costieri presentano nella maggior parte dei casi valori, sia in biomassa che in numero, maggiori rispetto a quelle di largo.
Concludendo, l’insieme dei dati raccolti ha evidenziato la necessità di urgenti misure di controllo e regolamentazione della risorsa, dei parametri eco-ambientali e della pesca esercitata, al fine di acquisire quelle informazioni utili per avviare un corretto piano di gestione della risorsa.

Semantic Web und Linked Data sind in aller Munde. Nach fast einem Jahrzehnt der Entwicklung der Technologien und Erforschung der Möglichkeiten des Semantic Webs rücken nun die Daten in den Mittelpunk, denn ohne diese wäre das Semantic Web nicht mehr als ein theoretisches Konstrukt. Fast wie das World Wide Web ohne Websites. Bibliotheken besitzen mit Normdaten (PND, SWD) und Titelaufnahmen eine Fülle Daten, die sich zur Befüllung des Semantic Web eignen und teilweise bereits für das Semantic Web aufbereitet und zur Nutzung freigegeben wurden. Die Universitätsbibliothek Mannheim hat sich in zwei verschiedenen Projekten mit der Nutzung solcher Daten befasst – allerdings standen diese zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch nicht als Linked Data zur Verfügung. In einem Projekt ging es um die automatische Erschließung von Publikationen auf der Basis von Abstracts, im anderen Projekt um die automatische Klassifikation von Publikationen auf der Basis von Titeldaten. Im Rahmen dieses Beitrags stellen wir die Ergebnisse der Projekte kurz vor, möchten aber im Schwerpunkt auf einen Nebenaspekt eingehen, der sich erst im Laufe dieser Projekte herauskristallisiert hat: Wie kann man die gewonnenen Ergebnisse dauerhaft und sinnvoll zur Nachnutzung durch Dritte präsentieren? Soviel vorweg: Beide Verfahren können und wollen einen Bibliothekar nicht ersetzen. Die Einsatzmöglichkeiten der generierten Daten sind vielfältig. Konkrete Einsätze, zum Beispiel das Einspielen in einen Verbundkatalog, sind aber aufgrund der Qualität und mangelnden Kontrolle der Daten umstritten. Die Bereitstellung dieser Daten als Linked Data im Semantic Web ist da eine naheliegende Lösung – jeder, der die Ergebnisse nachnutzen möchte, kann das tun, ohne dass ein bestehender Datenbestand damit kompromittiert werden könnte. Diese Herangehensweise wirft aber neue Fragen auf, nicht zuletzt auch nach der Identifizierbarkeit der Ursprungsdaten über URIs, wenn diese (noch) nicht als Linked Data zur Verfügung stehen. Daneben erfordert die Bereitstellung von Ergebnisdaten aber auch weitere Maßnahmen, die über die gängige Praxis von Linked Data hinaus gehen: Die Bereitstellung von Zusatzinformationen, die die Quelle und das Zustandekommen dieser Daten näher beschreiben (Provenienzinformationen), aber auch weitere Informationen, die über das zugrunde liegende Metadatenschema meist hinausgehen, wie Konfidenzwerte im Falle eines automatischen Verfahrens der Datenerzeugung. Dazu präsentieren wir Ansätze auf Basis von RDF Reification und Named Graphs und schildern die aktuellen Entwicklungen auf diesem Gebiet, wie sie zum Beispiel in der Provenance Incubator Group des W3C und in Arbeitsgruppen der Dublin Core Metadaten-Initiative diskutiert werden.

Syftet med projektet har varit att skapa en informell institution som erbjuder alla en möjlighet att inte bara ta del av kulturen, utan även själv kunna skapa. Byggnaden rymmer förutom en stor utställningshall både verkstad och ateljéer som är öppna för allmänheten. De olika funktionerna flyter in i varandra utan riktiga avskiljare, bara genom rumshöjd, trappor eller väggens krökning markeras övergången från ett rum till ett annat och leder besökaren genom byggnaden. Hela stadens linjära form förvrängs här av platsens förutsättningar och ljusförhållanden tills alla rum omsluts i en lång, mjuk rörelse av den slutna muren. Jag ville skapa ett system inom vilket öppenheten och den flytande rörelsen kunde rymmas. Det blev ett valv som är 12 meter högt och 10 meter brett som vandrar över tomten och ner i marken och definierar byggnadens rum. På utsidan omsluts valvbågarna, och hela byggnaden, av den slutna betongmuren, platsgjuten mot den knackade kopparplåten som med sina mjuka kurvor och det subtila mönstret fångar ljuset och regnet och all smuts i luften och de ger väggen nya färgskiftningar och ett eget liv.The aim of the project has been to create an informal institution which offers the public an opportunity to not only take part of the cultural scene, but contribute to it themselves. Besides a large exhibition area, the building contains workshops and studios that are open to the public. The different functions flow into each other without spatial separations. The transition from one room to another is articulated by the height of the ceiling, the stairs or the curvature of the wall, leading the visitor trough the building. The linear form of the city is contorted by the sites' context and the necessary lighting conditions until every room is enveloped in a long, soft motion by the closed wall. I wanted to create a system which could contain the openness and flowing movement within itself. This resulted in an arch, 12 meters high and 10 meters wide that wanders across the site and into the ground, defining the space of the building. The arches and the building as a whole are enveloped by the heavy concrete wall, cast against a hand shaped copper plate, which with its soft curvature and subtle relief catches the light, the rain and the particles from the polluted air and give the wall shifting colors and textures over time.

Mitt arbete handlar om Linjer och rum främst på grund av min faschination för linjer. En faschination som grundat sig i det grafiska, som sedan blev något mycket mer. I mitt arbete undersöker jag vad som utgör en linje och vad som bildar den. Vad linjer gör med oss, hur de styr oss. Linjen är något vi ständigt måste förhålla oss till. De skapar rum, riktningar, öppningar och djup. Linjen är ett hjälpmedel för att beskriva och definiera objekt, rum och dess dimensioner. Linjen är också ett element, vårt verktyg för att förstå och förklara något mer i de sammanhang vi befinner oss i. Linjen fungerar som en gräns, en markering för var ett rum börjar, slutar och nästa tar vid. Jag studerar konstnärers förhållningssätt till linjer och rum. Jag skapar en tankekarta där jag samlar dessa, adderar egna tankar och associationer inom ämnet. Jag bygger vidare, lämnar den ett tag. Går tillbaka och lägger till sådant jag finner under tiden. Jag hittar en plats att analysera med linjen i fokus. Jag dokumenterar och skapar en modell där jag testar mina teorier. Jag gör fullskalestudier för att studera rörelsemönster och beteenden, hur linjer kan få oss att förändra hur vi rör oss. Linjen är en del av min metod där jag applicerar eller förändrar linjer för att ifrågasätta och skapa nya rumsformer och samband i befintliga rum, liksom nya. Linjerna hjälper mig förtydliga och omforma de betintliga linjer som dragits och bildat en form eller ett rum. Jag använder linjerna för att synliggöra och påvisa tankar och idéer jag själv har om rum.

This work builds an infrastructure called Location Linked Information that offers a means to associate digital information with public, physical places. This connection creates a hybrid virtual/physical space, called glean space, that is owned, managed, and rated by the public, for the benefit of the populace. Initially embodied by an interactive, dynamic map viewed on a handheld computer, the system provides two functions for its urban users: 1) the retrieval of information about their surroundings, and 2) the optional annotation of location for communal benefit. Having the ability to link physical location with arbitrary information is an essential function to building immersive information environments and the smart city. Public computing systems such as Location Linked Information will enhance the urban experience, just as access to transportation dramatically altered the sensation and form of the city.

CONTEXTE: Les " Type I Congenital disorders of glycosylation " (CDG-I) comportent des déficits de biosynthèse de l'oligosaccharide lié au dolichol (DLO) qui est nécessaire pour la N-glycosylation des protéines. Ces déficits induisent : 1) une hypoglycosylation des protéines qui serait à l'origine de la pathologie ; et 2) une accumulation de DLO tronqués à partir desquels, par un mécanisme encore inconnu, des structures oligosaccharidiques libres phosphorylées (OSP) sont générées dans le cytosol. Afin de comprendre le rôle de ce processus dans le CDG, il était donc nécessaire de caractériser l'activité qui est à l'origine des OSP.RESULTATS: J'ai caractérisé biochimiquement une DLO diphosphatase (DLODP) qui génère des OSP et du dolichol phosphate à partir de DLO. L'activité DLODP co-fractionne avec un marqueur de l'appareil de Golgi (AG) mais pas avec les enzymes réticulaires qui utilisent le dolichol phosphate. Cette localisation inattendue de DLODP m'a conduit à étudier la génération des OSP dans les cellules en utilisant la bréfeldine A (BFA) qui fusionne l'AG avec le RE. La BFA ne modifie pas les taux de DLO tronqués ni ceux des OSP cytoplasmiques dans un modèle cellulaire de CDG-I. Cependant, dans ces cellules et dans les cellules témoins, la BFA induit une forte augmentation des OSP dans le système endomembranaire à partir de DLO non-tronqués.CONCLUSION: L'identification de différents pools d'OSP, topologiquement distincts et pouvant être modulés de façon indépendante, révèle la multiplicité des mécanismes pour la génération d'OSP et suggère que la DLODP Golgienne n'est pas forcément l'enzyme responsable de la génération des OSP dans le contexte de CDG-IBACKGROUND: Type I congenital disorders of glycosylation (CDG-I) are caused by genetic defects in the biosynthetic pathway for the dolichol-linked oligosaccharide (DLO) that is required for protein N-glycosylation. These mutations result in the accumulation of truncated DLO and protein hypoglycosylation. Although protein hypoglycosylation is thought to be the main pathogenic factor in CDG-I, the role of truncated DLO intermediates in cellular homeostasis is not clear. Truncated DLO intermediates are known to give rise to cytoplasmic oligosaccharyl phosphates (OSP) by an uncharacterized mechanism. To understand this DLO editing process biochemical and molecular characterization of the activity that generate OSP is needed.RESULTS: I biochemically characterized a DLO diphosphatase (DLODP) that generates OSP and dolichol phosphate from DLO. Subcellular fractionation of mouse liver homogenates demonstrated a microsomal activity that co-distributes with a Golgi apparatus (GA) marker but not with endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-situated dolichol phosphate utilizing enzymes. This unexpected localization of DLODP prompted me to study OSP generation in cells using brefeldin A (BFA), which fuses the GA with the ER. BFA did not affect the levels of truncated DLO or cytoplasmic OSP, present in a cellular model of CDG-I. However, in these, and control cells, BFA caused striking increases of OSP within the endomembrane system. CONCLUSION: the identification of topologically distinct, independently modulated, OSP pools indicates multiple mechanisms for OSP generation and suggest that the GA-situated DLODP may not be the enzyme responsible for OSP generation in CDG-I

Se ha llevado a cabo un estudio sobre el parasitismo branquial de 91 dentones (Dentex dentex, Pisces, Sparidae). Dicha muestra se compuso de 61 dentones salvajes capturados mediante palangre procedentes de aguas de Mallorca y canal de Menorca, y 30 dentones cautivos procedentes de una jaula situada en el puerto de Mallorca. Se encontraron un total de ocho especies parásitas, un dinoflagélido (Amyllodinium ocellatum), un monogénido (Microcotyle erythrini), un udonélido (Udonella caligorum), un trematodo digenea (Stephanostomum sp. metacercariae), tres copépodos (Caligus productus, Caligus diaphanus y Clavellotis fallax) y un isópodo (Gnathia vorax, praniza larvae). De dichas especies únicamente el dinoflagélido apareció en la muestra de peces cautivos, hallándose el resto de parásitos encontrados en la muestra de peces salvajes. El udonélido Udonella caligorum fue hallado como hiperparásito o foronte de los tres copépodos. Se describen, las prevalencias, intensidades y abundancias medias, así como otros parámetros ecológicos, igualmente se estudia la distribución espacial de cada parásito sobre el tejido branquial. Se discute el hipotético daño que las infecciones producidas por estos parásitos podrían causar en peces cultivados en el área de estudio. No se han podido establecer correlaciones positivas entre los diferentes parásitos y las condiciones de peso/talla del hospedador, no pudiendo concluir por lo tanto, que el número de parásitos aumente según lo hace el tamaño del hospedador. Sólo aparecieron correlaciones positivas entre los cáligos y C. diaphanus y C. fallax. Al ordenar los hospedadores por grupos de peso y estudiar las prevalencias, intensidades y abundancias medias de cada parásito, no se ha encontrado un patrón de comportamiento constante de los diferentes parásitos a lo largo de los grupos de peso. También se estudia qué ocurre con el parasitismo según la talla de los hospedadores, pues es este factor el que muestra la edad del animal. No se observaron diferencias de peso significativas en los hospedadores atribuibles a la carga de parásitos soportada. Por último se examinan cómo se asocian los diferentes parásitos en combinaciones multiparásitas.A preliminary study of the gill parasites from 91 common dentex (Dentex dentex, Pisces, Sparidae) was developed. Sample was formed by 61 wild fishes caught in waters of Mallorca and Menorca channel (Balearic Islands) and 30 farmed fishes from a cage located in the harbour of Mallorca. Eight parasite species were found: one dinoflagellate (Amyllodinium ocellatum), one monogenean (Microcotyle erythrini), one udonellidean (Udonella caligorum), one digenean trematode (Stephanostomum sp. metacercariae), three copepods (Caligus productus, Caligus diaphanus and Clavellotis fallax) and one isopod (Gnathia vorax, praniza larvae). The udonellidean U. caligorum was found as a hyperparasite or phoront of the three copepods. Prevalence, mean intensity and abundance and other ecological parameters as well as the spatial site of each parasite in the gill tissue are described. It also discusses the hypothetical damage that infections might cause in sea cage-farmed common dentex from the same area through interaction between wild and farmed common dentex populations. Positive correlations among the different parasites and the host conditions (size/weight) have not been found, so we could not affirm that the number of parasites increases with host body size. We only found positive correlations between both caligid copepods and between C. diaphanus and C. fallax. After grouping hosts in weight classes and studying the prevalence, mean intensity and abundance of each parasite, any of them showed a constant behavior pattern along such weight classes. Host size and parasitism is analyzed in order to know the possible relationship between parasitism and host age. No significative differences on host weight in relation with the parasitic burden were detected. The multiparasitic combinations are also examined.

In this thesis, carbohydrate mimicry is investigated through the syntheses of carbohydrate analogues and evaluation of their inhibitory effects on carbohydrate-processing enzymes. Galactofuranosides are interesting structures because they are common motifs in pathogenic microorganisms but not found in mammals. M.tuberculosis, responsible for the disease tuberculosis, has a cell wall containing a repeating unit of alternating (1→5)- and (1→6)-linked β-D-galactofuranosyl residues. Synthetic inhibitors of the enzymes involved in the biosynthesis of the cell wall could find great therapeutic use. The first part of this thesis describes the first synthesis of the hydrolytically stable carbasugar analogue of galactofuranose, 4a-carba-β-D-Galf, and the synthetic work of synthesising β-linked pseudodisaccharides containing carba-Galf, which were tested for glycosyltransferease inhibitory activity. The pseudodisaccharide carba-Galf-(β1→5)-carba-Galf was found to be a moderate inhibitor of the glycosyltransferase GlfT2 of M.tuberculosis. The thesis also describes how a general method towards biologically relevant α-linked carba-Galf ethers was developed. The final part of this thesis is focussed on the formation of nitrogen-linked monosaccharides without the participation of the anomeric centre. Such a mode of coupling is called tail-to-tail neodisaccharide formation. The couplings of carbohydrate derivatives via the Mitsunobu reaction are successfully reported herein. The method describes the key introduction of an allylic alcohol in the electrophile and the subsequent functionalisation of the alkene to obtain the neodisaccharide. Two synthesised neodisaccharides presented in this thesis have been sent to be tested for glycosidase inhibitory activity.At the time of the doctoral defense, the following papers were unpublished and had a status as follows: Paper 3: Manuscript. There are several attempts to build service and application models for Linked Data Cloud. In this paper, we propose a new service model for linked data "Linked-OWL" which is based on RESTful services and OWL-S and copes with linked data principles. This new model shifts the service concept from functions into linked data things and opens the road for Linked Oriented Architecture (LOA) and Web of Services as part and on top of Web of Data. This model also provides high level of dynamic service composition capabilities for more accurate dynamic composition and execution of complex business processes in Web of Data environment.

The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) brings
new challenges for companies, who must demonstrate that their
systems and business processes comply with usage constraints
specified by data subjects. However, due to the lack of standards,
tools, and best practices, many organizations struggle to adapt their
infrastructure and processes to ensure and demonstrate that all
data processing is in compliance with users' given consent. The
SPECIAL EU H2020 project has developed vocabularies that can
formally describe data subjects' given consent as well as methods
that use this description to automatically determine whether
processing of the data according to a given policy is compliant
with the given consent. Whereas this makes it possible to determine
whether processing was compliant or not, integration of the
approach into existing line of business applications and ex-ante
compliance checking remains an open challenge. In this short paper,
we demonstrate how the SPECIAL consent and compliance framework
can be integrated into Linked Widgets, a mashup platform, in
order to support privacy-aware ad-hoc integration of personal data.
The resulting environment makes it possible to create data integration
and processing workflows out of components that inherently
respect usage policies of the data that is being processed and are
able to demonstrate compliance. We provide an overview of the
necessary meta data and orchestration towards a privacy-aware
linked data mashup platform that automatically respects subjects'
given consents. The evaluation results show the potential of our
approach for ex-ante usage policy compliance checking within the
Linked Widgets Platforms and beyond.

Der breite „kameralistische“ Fächerkanon, zu welchem mit unterschiedlichem Gewicht über den Zeitverlauf historische, geographische, juristische, politische, naturwissenschaftlich-technologische und zunehmend wirtschaftliche „Disziplinen“ gehörten, wird unter dem Begriff des Staatswissenschaftlichen Fachgebietes zusammengefasst.
In vorwiegend institutionsgeschichtlicher Perspektive werden auf Grundlage der Auswertung von zeitgenössischen Universitätsdaten (z. B. Matrikeln, Vorlesungsverzeichnissen, Promotionsakten) die Veränderung in der Studentenschaft und dem Lehrkörper, den Inhalten und Formen der Lehre dargestellt. Der Horizont wird dabei in Richtung der Preußischen wie anderen deutschen Universitäten, benachbarter Disziplinen und außeruniversitäre Institutionen überschritten.
Gestartet mit staatlicher Unterstützung brauchte es ein halbes Jahrhundert bis das Fachgebiet Teil der Berliner Forschungsuniversität wurde. Beginnend mit dem zweiten Drittel des 19. Jahrhunderts setzte unter Gustav Schmoller und Adolf Wagner bei zunehmend disziplinärer Engführung auf die nationalökonomischen Disziplinen eine rasante Entwicklung ein, in der das Fachgebiet ein eigenes Profil ausbildete. Um 1900 gewann das Fachgebiet innerhalb der Berliner Philosophischen Fakultät großes Gewicht und trat allmählich an die Spitze eines sich entwickelnden reichsweiten Fachstroms. Gegen Ende des ersten Jahrzehnts des 20. wird in Berlin ein Gestaltwandel des Fachgebiets greifbar, welcher in den Übergang zu den modernen Wirtschaftswissenschaften mündete.
Die Arbeit betont in der Analyse der Entwicklung ein breites Bedingungsgefüge, in dem neben wissenschaftsimmanenten Einflussfaktoren ebenso Momente der politisch-staatlichen, wirtschaftlichen und gesellschaftlichen Dimension dieses Gefüges zum Tragen kommen.This paper follows the development of political economy at Berlin's Friedrich Wilhelm University from its establishment to the first third of the 20th century. The broad canon of "cameralism", which to varying extents across the span of time included historical, geographical, juridical, political, scientific, technological and, increasingly, economic "disciplines", is encapsulated under the term "political science". The changes in the student body and faculty, as well as the contents and forms of instruction, are presented based on an evaluation of contemporaneous university data (e.g. registers of matriculation, lecture schedules, doctoral certificates) from a perspective primarily focused on institutional history. Looking beyond this remit, Prussian and other German universities, neighbouring disciplines and non-university institutions are also touched upon. After being started with state support, it took half a century for the field to become a part of the Berlin research university. Beginning in the second third of the 19th century, the department underwent rapid development under Gustav Schmoller and Adolf Wagner, corresponding to increasing narrowing of focus to the economic disciplines, in which context the department developed a distinct profile. Circa 1900, the field gained great importance within Berlin's Faculty of Philosophy and gradually took the lead in a developing academic stream within the Empire. Towards the end of the first decade of the 20th century, a change to the form of the field became palpable in Berlin, which culminated in the transition to the modern economic disciplines. In its analysis, the paper emphasises a far-ranging web of interconnections in which, alongside direct academic influences, aspects from the political, governmental, economic and social dimensions of this structure come to bear on the development of the field.

From the direct sensory experience and indirect behavioral patterns, architecture is involved in human activities and ways of thinking all the time. Therefore, the combination of culture and architecture organically will give people a better way and angle to understand the culture.
The relationship between local culture and local architecture is inextricably linked. However, how to integrate foreign culture into local architecture will be a very difficult problem. Directly transplanting buildings and cultural elements from a foreign culture to a local city will make the building incompatible with the original urban texture. It is not easy for local residents to accept this foreign culture from the aesthetic perspective or psychological perspective. In my thesis, I hope to design a cultural center that can match the texture of the local city and reflect the foreign culture through my thinking about the architecture and the understanding of the foreign culture: design a Chinese cultural center in Chinatown, Washington DC, to find out a reasonable way for cultural communication.Master of Architecture

The diploma thesis is focused on transformation of linked data and opportunities for componentization of extract, transform, load process resulting in reusability of such components. UnifiedViews serves as a framework for demonstration of implementa-tion of selected components. Initial review of related fields of study, relational data oriented ETL and linked data quality management being most prominent, is followed by bottom-up analysis of existing extractors and transformations. Identified common transformations are supplemented by operations known from transformations of relational data. Options and limits of each component candidate are discussed as well as possible cooperation with other components. The next section discusses supported ways of implementation in the selected environment and provides a list of key questions for decision making process is provided. The last part describes implementation of selected components with respect to the approach suggested in the preceding section. Practical use as well as limitations of the implemented components are demonstrated on tasks transforming public contracts datasets.

Bakgrund: Andelen stabillinstillpassningar (RGP-tillpassningar) i förhållande till totala tillpassningar är relativt låg i världen och Sverige är inget undantag. Anledningar till detta är många även om ett flertal nya RGP- linsdesigner som Orto-K och minisklerala blivit tillgängliga de senaste två decennierna. Syfte: Syftet med enkätundersökningen var att ta reda på varför andelen tillpassade stabila linser är relativt lågt i Sverige, samt för att undersöka varför de som inte jobbar med dessa linstyper, inte gör det. Metod: En enkät med ca 20 frågor som skickades till Optikerförbundets 1550 medlemmar via e-mail, samt en intervju utfördes med en synscentralsoptiker för att få insikt i hur optiker på syncentralen ser på detta. Därefter sammanställdes och analyserades svaren. Resultat: Utav de 1550 optiker i Optikerförbundet var det 359 som besvarade enkäten. Ungefär 30% utav dessa tillpassade RGP-linser, och majoriteten jobbade inom privatägda- eller franchisebutiker. De som kände sig bekväma med att tillpassa stabila linser sa att det beror på egen erfarenhet (49%), vana (15%) och kunskap (14%). De vanligaste anledningarna som angavs av de som inte tillpassar var att RGP-linser ”finns ej i butik”, eller beror på ” för litet kundunderlag” och ”ingen efterfrågan” samt på deras ”bristande kunskap”. Det var dock flera som ställde sig positiv till RGP-linser (76%) och kunde tänka sig tillpassa dem. Slutsats: Studien visar att användningen av RGP-linser är så liten i Sverige p.g.a. bristande kunskap, saknat utbud hos butiker och för litet kundunderlag enligt optiker.Background: The proportion of stable lens (RGP) fittings relative to total fitting is relatively low in the world, and Sweden is no exception. There are many reasons for this, despite that a few new RGP lens designs, such as the Ortho-K and mini-scleral lenses, have become available over the past two decades. Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the reasons as to why the proportion of RGP lens-fittings is low in Sweden and to map the viewpoints of optometrists with licences to fit contact lenses, regarding why they choose not to fit this group of lenses. Method: A web-based survey with 20 questions was distributed to the 1550 members of the Swedish association of Optometrists via members-email. Questions focussed on fitting demographics, the reasons why those who did fit RGP-lenses felt comfortable doing this, and why those who did not fit this lens type choose not to. In addition, an interview with an optometrist working at a hospital eye-clinic was also conducted. Result: Among the 1550 members of the Swedish association of Optometrists, 359 responded to the survey. Approximately 34% of these fitted RGP-lenses and the majority worked in private self-owned or franchise stores. Those who felt comfortable fitting stable lenses said that it was because they had experience (49%), routine (15%) and knowledge (14%) within the field. The most common reasons given by those who did not fit RGP-lenses, as to why they did not fit RGP-lenses were that this lens type “was not available in the clinic”, that there were “too few customers” or “lack of demand” and that they “lacked essential knowledge”. There were however a majority of this group (76%) who were positive to fitting RGPlenses themselves Conclusion: Because of lack of knowledge, the missing of supply at stores and the lack of patients according to opticians, the amount of RGP-lens fitting in Sweden is low.

Denna essä skildrar Erik Johanssons konstnärskap under utbildningsperioden vid Kandidatprogrammet för Fri Konst på Konstfack. Essän beskriver vägen fram till kandidatutställningen Ytspänning genom att göra nedslag vid tre olika tillfällen under loppet av tre läsår. Genom personliga erfarenheter och reflektioner, samhälleliga händelser och teoretiska diskurser vävs en bild av ett konstnärskap fram samtidigt som det situeras i en historisk kontext och en rådande politisk verklighet. I Essän belyses några av vår tids djuprotade och mer nytillblivna problematiker genom en reflektion om vad som osynliggörs när något utges för att vara neutralt, och vad som går förlorat när en logik överskrider alla andra. I granskandet av olika värderande hierarkier och särskiljande praktiker skulpteras en rad konstverk fram tillsammans med en personlig och kollektiv historia av exploatering, förfrämliganden och närmanden.

I studien ingick tolv försökspersoner, fördelat på nio kvinnor och tre män, medcylinder mellan -0,50 D och -1,00 D på ett eller båda ögonen korrigerades först medAir Optix® (sfärisk) beräknad på sfärisk ekvivalent och sedan med Air Optix forAstigmatism®(torisk) med styrkor baserade på refraktionen. Högkontrastvisus ochlågkontrastvisus mättes både monokulärt och binokulärt. I studien framkom att i både monokulärt och binokulärt finns en statistisktsignifikant förbättring med den toriska linsen jämfört med den sfäriska. Ävenlågkontrastvisus visar en förbättring både monokulärt och binokulärt med den toriskalinsen, denna skillnad är inte statistiskt signifikant. Även vid 0,50 D cylinder finnsäven här en förbättring med den toriska linsen men denna är inte heller statistisktsignifikant, varken för hög eller lågkontrastvisus. För 1,00 D cylinder är förbättringensignifikant vid högkontrast men inte vid lågkontrastS. I likhet med tidigare studier har denna studie visat att även lågastigmatism drar fördel av korrigeras med toriska linser.

As melhores práticas de dados interligados recomendam que se utilizem ontologias bem conhecidas de modo a facilitar a ligação entre um novo conjunto de triplas RDF (ou, abreviadamente, tripleset) e os já existentes. Entretanto, ambas as tarefas apresentam dificuldades. Esta tese apresenta frameworks para criação de buscadores de metadados que ajudam na seleção de ontologias e na escolha de triplesets que podem ser usados, respectivamente, nos processos de publicação e interligação de triplesets. Resumidamente, o administrador de um novo tripleset deve inicialmente definir um conjunto de termos que descrevam o domínio de interesse do tripleset. Um buscador de metadados, construído segundo os frameworks apresentados na tese, irá localizar, nos vocabulários dos triplesets existentes, aqueles que possuem relação direta ou indireta com os termos definidos pelo administrador. O buscador retornará então uma lista de ontologias que podem ser utilizadas para o domínio, bem como uma lista dos triplesets relacionados. O buscador tem então como foco os metadados dos triplesets, incluindo informações de subclasse, e a sua saída retorna somente metadados, justificando assim chama-lo de buscador focado em metadados .
The Linked Data best practices recommend to publish a new tripleset using well-known ontologies and to interlink the new tripleset with other triplesets. However, both are difficult tasks. This thesis describes frameworks for metadata crawlers that help selecting the ontologies and triplesets to be used, respectively, in the publication and the interlinking processes. Briefly, the publisher of a new tripleset first selects a set of terms that describe the application domain of interest. Then, he submits the set of terms to a metadata crawler, constructed using one of the frameworks described in the thesis, that searches for triplesets which vocabularies include terms direct or transitively related to those in the initial set of terms. The crawler returns a list of ontologies that are used for publishing the new tripleset, as well as a list of triplesets with which the new tripleset can be interlinked. Hence, the crawler focuses on specific metadata properties, including subclass of, and returns only metadata, which justifies the classification metadata focused crawler.
