Practice shows that vacuum water ring pumps are widely used in industry. Such pumps are used in almost all areas of the oil industry, metallurgy, chemical industry, mechanical engineering, food industry, agriculture, pulp and paper industry, gas and many other areas. Taking into account all the above-mentioned areas of application, the question arises about increasing the service life and reliability of LCVs (liquid water ring pumps). This article provides a fundamental study of the theory of operation and performance of a liquid ring pump. Keywords: vacuum pump, theoretical model, coolant, fo

The relevance of studying the parameters of operation of liquid ring vacuum pumps and the development of new designs is due to their demand in the agro-industrial complex. The paper provides a description of the cavitation phenomena that occur during the operation of a liquid ring vacuum pump. Cavitation degrades pump performance and can often cause failure. It can occur due to: low barometric pressure; large vacuum suction height; high temperature of the pumped liquid; additional pressure loss in the pump impeller. The paper examines the calculation of a liquid ring vacuum pump, using the example of the drying process of various materials. It was found that for two-stage convective vacuum-impulse drying it is economically efficient to use a two-stage liquid ring vacuum pump with the ability to turn off the second stage. A method for calculating the specific power of one-stage and two-stage liquid ring vacuum pumps, taking into account heat and mass transfer and thermal processes that occur during operation is proposed.

Liquid ring vacuum pumps are widely used in many areas of the agro-industrial complex, in particular for milking processes, storage of plant materials, their drying and extraction, as well as pneumatic transport. It has been revealed that one of the main disadvantages of liquid ring vacuum pumps - low efficiency (25-50%) is often caused by hydraulic losses during rotation of the liquid ring on a stationary body, as well as inaccurate physical prerequisites in the equations describing the movement of the liquid ring - a two-phase turbulent flow in the working pump cavity. Squeezing with degenerate parametric amplification sacrifices the power needed for the pump.1 Squeezing by using the third- order nonlinearity does not necessarily sacrifice the pump power, because it remains at the same frequency as the squeezed radiation. Because the third-order nonlinearity is weak, long interaction lengths must be used, i.e., optical fibers. Past experiments with quasi excitation in optical fibers were plagued by stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) and guided acoustic wave acoustic Brillouin scattering (GAWBS).2 The use of pulses raises the peak power and the SBS thresho
