Abstract:

Abstract:
The article describes and analyzes in a historical context the Experiencias of Flávio de Carvalho (1899–1973) carried out since the first half of the 20th century, as well as presenting connections of those artistic actions with the contemporary cultural and political scene in Brazil, marked by religious interference. The artist ismentioned in the 11th edition of the Berlin Biennale, of which the author is one of the curators. The exhibition was structured based on the free updating of themes exposed in four “experiences” of FC. The exhibition is spread over four venues (until 11/1/2020), each with its own repertoire: the Anti-church (Kunst -Werke), the Showcase for dissident bodies (the daad), the inverted Museum (Gropius Bau) and the Living Archive (ExRotaprint). Abstract:
The article author analyzes the factors not only related to Diane Arbus’ formation as an outstanding personality, but also determining the originality of her works. To create Diane Arbus’ psychological characteristics, her biography, autobiographical notes, interviews and other sources were analyzed. The following methods were used: comparison, to compare various data and thoughts about Diane’s personality traits; generalization, to determine the general trend in the artist’s psychological characteristics; and synthesis, to create a model of the photographer’s psychological porter. Diane Arbus’ works can be described by the following qualities: singularity, originality and extremely strong emotionality. The question was also raised whether Diane’s works offended people depicted on them, and whether her photographs were socially correct. Among the leading social factors that influenced Diana’s personality and work, it is necessary examine her close social environment, family, traumatic childhood events and the determining influence of Diane’s teacher - Lisette Model, who revealed Arbus’s creative potential. The article author also investigated the influence of wider social environment, namely, socially significant events: world wars, protests, high-profile political murders, cultural movements, and so on. However, our study has showed that socio-economic or political events had minimal influence on Diane’s personality. Thus, the photographer had such personal trait as resistance to social unrest. The artist’s psychological portrait includes two distinct groups of traits: general, having an impact on Diane’s life, and special, directly related to the specifics of the photographer’s work. Her general features were, in particular: deep introversion, increased emotional sensitivity and anxiety. The article concludes that the choice by Diane Arbus of themes for her works was significantly influenced by traumatic experience of her childhood, as well as empathy, as her permanent personal trait.

GARCÍA, Y.;BRITO, J. J.; GRUBER, L. EVALUATION OF THE EFFECT OF TWO LOW PRESSURE IRRIGATION TREATMENTS IN A FIELD IN VALLE DE QUIBOR, VENEZUELA 2 ABSTRACT This experiment was carried out in theJiménezMunicipality, Lara State, Venezuela, in a field with two located irrigation areas with four 50-m long rows each. In one area, a commercial irrigation system was installed whereas the other one had an irrigation system with handmade emitters. The experimental design had divided parcels, with blockade by slope effect. The planting of 100 plants was on November 16, 2002. The measured variables were plant height (PH), stem diameter (SD), number of leaves (NL), days of flowering (DF) and production (P). Emission uniformity (EU), irrigation level (IL) and water use efficiency (WUE) were determined. Variables for PH, SD, NL and P presented higher values in the treatment with handmade emitters, also the DF are smaller in the treatment watered by handmade emitters. The EU of the handmade emitters and commercial emitters was 55.53% and 74.27%, respectively. The applied IL during the treatments with handmade and commercial emitters was 610 and507 mm, respectively. The WUE was very superior in the irrigation treatment where the handmade emitters were used. KEYWORDS: Carica papaya L., handmade emitters, growth.

This descriptive study was conducted for the purpose of determining the relationship of body mass index in high school students with socio-demographic and some nutritional characteristics. The study group of the study consisted of 530 students between the ages of 13-18 attending a high school in Eskişehir in the school year of 2015-2016. A survey form and height-weight measurements developed by the researcher were used to collect the data.BMI had no correlation with gender, socio-economic status, training on nutrition, consumption of convenience foods or skipping meals, whereas the obesity rate was higher among those who reported to consume convenience foods during recess and due to lack of free time during school hours and the rate of thinness/very thinness was higher among those who reported to consume convenience foods by choice.

Abstract:
The introduction to this special issue on religious leadership in new religions discusses questions arising from existing published theoretical and empirical research into religious leadership. Theoretical contributions are made in articles by five authors, James T. Richardson, David G. Bromley, Liselotte Frisk, Susan J. Palmer, and Milda Ališauskienė. The articles by Frisk, Palmer, and Ališauskienė discuss original empirical data disclosing features of women’s religious leadership in new religions and the influence of social context and power relations to it. This special issue of Nova Religio on “Religious Leadership in New Religions: Theoretical and Empirical Trajectories” is dedicated to our colleague, Swedish scholar of new religions, Liselotte Frisk (11 March 1959–29 October 2020).
