Abstract:
This study aims to determine the pattern of literary literacy development carried out by the Lentera community. This study used a qualitative research design with grounded theory. This study used three data collection techniques, namely, observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was performed using open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The results of this study indicated that the modeling pattern is an effort made by the supervisor to guide and improve the literary literacy skills of members through the examples provided. The pattern of modeling development can be done by reading literature, preparing to model, observing models, basic exercises, and evaluation. The pattern of fostering creative works is a pattern of coaching to train members' writing skills with the support of good coaching, ability, and fondness for reading so that members will be able to create a new literary work. Coaching in the pattern of fostering creative works includes: reading literary works, writing literary works, relaxation, and reflection, and evaluation.

Abstract:
AbstractSeveral passages in the Bible explicitly describe "institutional" judicial proceedings. This study, however, focuses on eight passages which were not "declared" to be trials by their authors; nonetheless, their content, language, and apparent intentions indicate an attempt to convey the character of a juridical criminal proceeding. Close examination of the texts reveals a recurrent literary pattern, and as these texts are dialogues, this pattern is termed the "juridical dialogue". The first part of the study presents the characteristics of the juridical dialogue, by drawing a parallel between the phases of the juridical criminal proceedings, on the one hand, and the linguistic formulations used in the literary pattern, on the other. The second part focuses on the link between human dialogue and juridical proceedings; the features of a specific human discourse, the nature of which is judicial, are examined by applying sociolinguistic criteria.

Abstract:
In this article, we discuss the methodological prospects of using the term ‘pattern’ in the analysis of a literary text. We identify the semantic and categorial field of the term, propose a definition of ‘pattern’ as projected on language material, and correlate the terms ‘pattern’, ‘repetition’, ‘recurrence’, and others. The linguistic ontology of the pattern as a text-generating mechanism is determined by the fact that the pattern problematizes the relationship between repetition and variation, singular and plural, a norm and a deviation. A text has a pattern nature if its basic pattern does not coincide with its textual realizations, provided the latter are very similar at the prototype or model level. Therefore, the relationship between the pattern and a resultant text is isomorphic to the relationship between language and speech. Our analysis of poetic texts by Andrey Monastyrsky and Dmitri Prigov demonstrates the possibilities of studying a text as the realization of a pattern from the perspective of various literary strategies adopted by authors.

Abstract:
This paper describes idioms of the northern Zhuang language. Zhuang idioms are analyzed into two major types, based on syntactic structure: trisyllabic idioms and polysyllabic idioms. Tri-syllabic idioms are short, fixed common expressions consisting of a single predicate. The polysyllabic idioms comprise tetrasyllabic idioms, pentasyllabic idioms, hexasyllabic idioms, and heptasyllabic idioms. The polysyllabic idioms display four syntactic patterns, i.e., serial pattern, causative pattern, topicalized pattern, and condensed pattern. Semantically, the meanings of Zhuang idioms are not the sum of their component part but must be metaphorically interpreted as a whole. The function of Zhuang idioms is to increase effectiveness and rhetorical force in oral and literary communication.

Abstract:
Reduplication is a morphological operation in many Austronesian languages, including Acehnese. This process is very productive in Acehnese, and it occurs with many patterns. This study aims to find out the reduplication patterns in Acehnese based on nine literary works written in the 19th century or earlier. The study also focuses on reduplicated patterns and how affixation is treated in reduplication. The study was qualitative, and thus the data were analyzed qualitatively. The data collection and analysis included data extraction, data classification, data display, and data interpretation. The conclusion was verified by comparing the interpretation and tokens from the data. The results showed that reduplication in Acehnese appeared in total reduplication and partial reduplication. Each pattern involved rhythmic reduplications where vowel and some consonant alterations appeared in the reduplicants. In addition, some of those patterns were lexicalized reduplication, where the reduplication did not have any stem or non-reduplicated form. More than half of the lexicalized reduplicated words were onomatopoeia, words imitating sounds. Finally, only prefixes meu-, peu-, and teu- are found in Acehnese reduplication. These findings have provided comprehensive information regarding the patterns of Acehnese reduplication, which revealed that reduplication is a significant process of word formation in the language.

Cultural reading seeks to re-read literary texts in light of their historical and cultural contexts, as the cultural pattern is a social, religious, moral, aesthetic, etc. position imposed by the social situation at a certain moment of its development, which the author and his audience implicitly accept. The texts include in their structure implicit and deceptive patterns capable of evasion and avoidance, and they cannot be revealed or revealed their latent meanings in the literary achievement except by achieving a holistic conception of the nature of the cultural structures of society, and realizing the reality of the dominance of those established patterns on the idea of ideology and the concept of the possible in the conflict of different social forces, which is what This study tends to read the cultural patterns in the book (Eyes of the News) by Ibn Qutaybah.

Abstract:
The subject of this research is the structure of the literary work. The goal consists in the establishment of correlation between the parts of the literary work, expressed in the research of S. I. Sukhikh “The Theoretical Poetics of A. A. Potebnja”. The author meticulously examines such aspects of the theory of literary work of A. A. Potebnja as the interrelation between the external form, internal form, artistic image, and content of the literary work, as well as outlines the structure of the literary work. The article describes the parts of the literary work (external form, internal form, artistic image, content). The article offers the patter of the literary work, distinguishing the parts and interrelation between them. The author formulates the definitions of external form, internal form, artistic image, and content of the literary work; reveals the characteristics and distinctive features of each part of the literary work. This led to the formation of representation of the literary work as a structure, where each of the parts expresses its own meaning, and serves as a means of creating the meaning for the other part. The result this research consists in the creation of the pattern of literary work that gives an idea on the structure of the literary work. The acquired materials can be used in studying the general concepts of the theory of literature: the form, content, artistic image, definition of artistic merit of the literary work. The offered pattern of the literary work cab be also applied to the analysis of the literary work. The scientific novelty of this study lies in the formation of representation of the literary work as a structure, where each part expresses its own meaning and serves as a means of creating meaning for the other part, as well as in creation of the pattern that conveys this idea.

Abstract:
Abstract Postivist historiography has always maintained an impermeable boundary between history and literature. But positivism is itself a historical sediment whose time is now past. Recent literary theory and historiography emphasize the continuities between history and literature. Under the domination of historiography by a positivist epistemology (from about 1880 to 1960), history attempted to free itself from its literary heritage; more recently theorists from a number of disciplines have recognized that history, both ancient and modern, has been informed by literary motifs, themes, and strategies. The repetition of the exodus literary pattern, for example, through the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and Christian history does nothing to bring into question the historical status of the events. The exodus patterns evident in Mosiah do not force the Book of Mormon to surrender historical claims just because they also happen to be literary.

Abstract:
Old Javanese is known as a language that has a predicate clause pattern (V) preceding the subject (S). Usually, there is a particle ta or its variation between the predicate-subject sequences (V-ta-S). Besides the V-S pattern, the S-V pattern is also found. In this paper, it is shown that the clause pattern in Old Javanese is triggered by the importance of forming a narrative discourse. Particle ta and several other syntactic elements have a role in shaping narrative discourse. Other syntactic elements are the definition of nouns, arguments in the form of nouns (NP) or pronouns, and affective-passive verbs. The source of the data I use for this study is the Old Javanese parwa text, namely Adiparwa edited by Juynboll (1906). According to Molen (2010, 396), parwa is a literary product in itself. Parwa must be viewed as a literary work, just like kakawin. There is a clear story structure aided by lexical, grammatical, and literary structuring tools. In this study, the grammatical elements used for the purpose of building the story are shown.

ABSTRACT
The pattern of image application used by poets in a literary work, especially the text of the ship's verse, can affect the quality of the text of the ship's verse. The messages to be conveyed through literary works must be creative so that they appear attractive to read and listen to, so special characteristics and patterns are needed, especially in the field of image itself, to make his work beautiful and attractive. There are many ways to enjoy, understand and appreciate the work of the author, one of which is to study the Utilization of Imagery in Anang Kasim's Version of the Syair Surat Kapal of the Indragiri Malay Community. Therefore, the aim of this study is to analyze and interpret the Utilization of Images in Anang Kasim's Version of the Syair Surat Kapal of the Indragiri Malay Community. This needs to be examined because the existence of a literary work can be seen from how the author packages his work so that he can create its own patterns and styles from the author's side. This research is descriptive with content analysis method. The data of this research are sourced from the book Syair Surat Kapal Masyarakat Melayu Indragiri Karya Dedi Iswanto 2007. The data studied were documented by reading, taking notes, then summarized and grouped based on the pattern of applying images in Anang Kasim's version of Anang Kasim's version of Syair Surat Kapal Surat Melayu Indragiri Community. Based on the author's observations, the text of Anang Kasim's version of the Syair Surat Kapal Melayu Indragiri version has a unique and distinctive pattern of application of imagery utilization seen from the stylistic aspect, namely quality imagery so that readers are able to enjoy and interpret the express and implied meanings of the verse.

Abstract:
Abstract The womanist thinking initiated by Alice Walker not only represents her philosophical stance, but also imbues her literary writings with womanist characteristics. The pursuit of “the survival and wholeness of entire people” is the essence of Walker’s womanism, which permeates all of her writings so that her literary production demonstrates a unique artistic style with aesthetic implications. The patched quilt, known as a symbol of the artistic form of Walker’s womanist writings, is featured with the achievements of a whole by means of a fragmented and patched form. It also embodies the thematic structure in Walker’s writings which is presented in a clearly outlined pattern of “fragmented–piecing–wholeness.” By exploring the themes that constitute the thematic pattern in Walker’s writings, this paper points out that the fragmented–piecing–wholeness structure of womanist themes conveys hope for those who are oppressed by sexism and racism and those who are uncertain of their own destiny. Alice Walker has succeeded in combining her ideological content with artistic forms, and her womanist writings have not only enhanced the value of the culture of American blacks, but have also enriched literary ways of expression.

Abstract:
AbstractThe ongoing debate on the literary structure of the Apocalypse has invoked to varying degrees the major contributions of A. Yarbro Collins, E. Schüssler Fiorenza, and J. Lambrecht. These have generally argued for an outline based primarily on a septenary pattern (Yarbro Collins), a form-content configuration pattern (Schüssler Fiorenza), or a progressive recapitulation pattern (Lambrecht). Yet few have recognized that these patterns do not necessarily preclude one another and that all three of them pertain to the unique style of the author which a discernment of his structure cannot do without. Taking these three patterns as its starting point, this article would further argue that although largely overlooked, the oralauricular setting of the book and the climactic character of its final New Jerusalem vision are just as critical to a discernment of the author's structure. The resulting blueprint is then verified by means of its transitions, symmetry, and centre.

The subject of this qualitativ e empirical research is the discovery, categorization and anal- ysis of the cultural interpretative pattern neo-Nazism in the story Where the Dragons live (Wo die Drachen wohnen) by Clemens Mayer and the novel When I ate schnapps cherries with Hitler (Als ich mit Hitler Schnapskirschen aß) by Manja Präkels. This paper is based on the theoretical thoughts of the German culturologist Claus Altmayer, who views cultural studies as a discursive scientific discipline whose priority is to find cultural interpretive patterns in texts (not only literary ones). For teaching purposes in the academic year 2023/2024 in the course of German literature with students of the fourth year of German studies at the Faculty of Philology and Arts of the University of Kragujevac, the acquisition of cultural knowledge about the topological patterns of the FRG, the GDR and the unification of Germany were set, as a prerequisite for understanding texts whose action takes place in this historical period; the acquisition of cultural knowledge about the categorical pattern of neo-Nazism, as well as incentives for social engagement stemming from the reception of literary texts.

Abstract The present study aims at clarifying how in literary reviews value judgements about novels are justified. For this purpose we first give an overall description of the place of literary reviews in journalism. Then, we characterize literary reviews as an argumentative activity type. Next, we turn to the argumentative pattern prototypical of literary reviews. To illustrate our account of literary reviews, we present an exemplary analysis of a particular review. In so doing we propose a tool for the empirical study of literary reviews.

Abstract : With the exponential growth in devices and services being added to networks, we are also witnessing an increase in the volume and complexity of threats, urging an increased efficiency in network intrusion detection systems which primarily rely on pattern matching to identify malicious activity on the network. In this literary review of pattern matching techniques in network intrusion detection, we explore the limitations and the research carried out in both signature-based and anomaly-based intrusion detection systems to overcome them. It focuses on the performance improvements in signature-based intrusion detection systems achieved through methodologies and technologies like regular expressions, Hyperscan, RE2, Flashtext, a generalized Aho-Corasick algorithm, usage of Bloom filters and payload sampling. It also covers the usage of machine learning techniques, including genetic algorithms, Support Vector Machines (SVM) and Improved Self-Adaptive Bayesian Algorithm (ISABA), which are used to detect anomalous behavior and identify potential threats in a network in anomaly-based network intrusion detection to assist the security analysts carry out their job functions. Additionally, this review explores the integration of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems in network intrusion detection as this framework provides a structured and standardized approach for analyzing the tactics and techniques used by attackers to classify them, while SIEM systems enable the correlation of threat activity across multiple sources, allowing for a more comprehensive and accurate view of the network security. Overall, this literary review provides insights into the state-of-the-art techniques and frameworks used in Network Intrusion Detection based on Pattern Matching, highlighting the significant improvements in performance and detection capabilities.

Hemangiosarcoma is a highly aggressive malignant neoplasm that develops from endothelial cells of blood vessels. The tumor has an aggressive growth pattern and early metastasis, leading to rapid death of patients. The variety of clinical manifestations and regions of the lesion makes this tumor the most interesting for clinicians, while the prognosis directly depends on the location of the lesion and the stage of the disease. This review describes both the most common and rare clinical forms of hemangiosarcoma and the main methods of treatment.

Abstract:
Protestant cross-cultural missionaries have appeared as characters in literary narratives for some two hundred years. These narratives use three patterns. The first, showing godly missionaries supported by divine interventions, includes nonfiction accounts of missionaries like Hudson Taylor, Jim Elliot, and Don Richardson. The second pattern, showing missionaries as orthodox fanatics, includes Brontë’s Jane Eyre, Maugham’s “Rain,” and Kingsolver’s The Poisonwood Bible. The third pattern, common in postcolonial novels, portrays missionaries with ambivalence and humor and includes elements of Bakhtin’s “carnivalesque”: comic-grotesque imagery, obscenities, and feasts. This postcolonial missionary character represents not oppression but freedom and appears in such novels as Anand’s Untouchable, Achebe’s Things Fall Apart, and Vargas Llosa’s The Storyteller.

This article takes further debates concerning the nature of literary language and the presence of literariness in a range of discourses by exploring the extent to which everyday conversational discourse displays literary properties. The article argues that the inherent creativity of so-called ‘ordinary’, ‘everyday’ language has been overlooked by researchers, who have tended to focus on literary texts or on more obviously creative discourse such as advertising language. The data explored in this article are drawn from the CANCODE project which is one of the most extensive collections of informal spoken English currently available. The main argument developed is that both social and psychological models are needed to explain the phenomena of ‘pattern-developing’ and ‘pattern-forming’ which are described in the collected data.1

Abstract:
Understanding literacy and linguistics in Indonesia, especially through novel reading, plays an important role in honing students' cognitive skills, such as critical and creative thinking. Syntax as part of linguistic studies, helps students understand language structures that support effective communication and deeper literary appreciation. This study aims to understand the structure and function of active and passive sentences in Indonesian focusing on the types of active and passive sentences and the role of sentence elements in shaping meaning. This study uses methodological and theoretical approaches with qualitative and syntactic descriptive methods to analyze the pattern of sentence function in the novel "9 of Nadira" by Leila S. Chudori. The research process involves data collection, classification, analysis, and presentation of data with listen, record, and bill techniques. The results showed that the sentence function pattern in the novel "9 of Nadira" by Leila S. Chudori uses different sentence patterns in each active and passive voice. Transitive and bitransitive active sentences have additional objects and complements, while intransitive sentences do not, and only sentences with objects can be changed to passive by undergoing changes in their predicates. This research has the benefit of providing a deeper understanding of the structure and function of active and passive sentences in Indonesian.

Abstract:
Many works of ancient literature make use of recurring narrative patterns referred to as ‘type scenes’. Often associated with the writings of Homer, these are also found in the Bible. Many scholars identify the episodes in Genesis 24 and 29, Exodus 2, and John 4 which depict a man and a woman meeting at a well as examples of a type scene. There is little scholarly consensus, however, on how to define this particular type scene pattern, or on what unites its individual iterations. Previous studies have proposed betrothal, recognition, hospitality, and the reunification of separated groups as the key literary motif. The present study instead suggests that these four biblical texts, which can be referred to as ‘well encounters’, replicate a type scene pattern which resists tidy explanations according to a single motif. It is better envisioned as a recurring constellation of ten motifs: journey, socioethnic barriers, water, work, recognition, worship, announcement, food, welcome, and matrimony. These motifs can be found in all four texts, adapted to the literary and theological priorities of each.

Particular hermeneutic patterns are needed to interpret literary books. The writings of the wisdom literature of the Hebrew people are rich in various types of literary styles from being oral traditions to written forms and being part of the Old Testament canon. This paper aims to form a hermeneutic pattern in the form of defining literary categories, capturing the main ideas of the writer, seeing the text in context, and paying attention to the style of language. Studying these four patterns will help the interpreter elevate the meaning of the contents of the literature of Wisdom. Writing presented in a descriptive, analytical form. Abstract:
The article studies the role and functions of organic archetypal patterns based on the concept of the Tree in literary texts, to which it brings a rich variety of emotive and cultural associations. Being ontologically and epistemologically grounded in the surrounding ecosystems, organic archetypal patterns as a mode of figural modeling run through genres of different epochs and inform their content with a naturalized view of themes, motifs, and situations, which make up the fabric of a work of fiction. Literary figures of this type have their roots in mythological consciousness that at a certain level of human development was instrumental in the categorization of the world and construction of cultural codes as objectivized forms of sensory perception, as pre-discursive human cognitive activity; they have retained till today the symbolic potency of those mythic structures and religious conceptions, often hidden from an uneducated mind. We hypothesize that archetypal patterns forming meaningful connections of language with myth, religion, and art, are used by authors to ensure an integrated understanding of a particular literary piece or its part. Keywords: archetypal pattern, mythological consciousness, ecosystem, cultural code

Abstract:
The article investigated if a significant relationship existed between Arab EFL learners’ and the English sentence pattern identified. The participants were 64 third-year college students studying in the Department of Linguistics at Princess Nourah University, Saudi Arabia. They were assigned 28 literary texts and asked to derive examples for each of the nine sentence patterns listed in Stageberg (1981). An ANOVA test at alpha level P 0.05 and a post hoc test were used to analyze data. The findings of the study showed a highly significant result at p between participants’ performance and the pattern identified. Seven levels of difficulty were identified, where Pattern 1 was the easiest and Pattern 8 was the most difficult. The main components of each English sentence pattern were also investigated to find possible sources of difficulty, such as the use of the copula; transitive, intransitive, and ditransitive verbs; dative case; and double object structure. The denoting of referents, dative case, and double object structures were found to be the main sources of difficulty.

Abstract:
Various linguistic means characterizing women's language were presented to the public in the 70-s. The first systematic and critical approach to linguistic features of women's language was presented in a pioneering study by Robin Lakoff in 1975. Since then, it has been considered as a beginning of a new interdisciplinary field of "gender studies". Nowadays, women's language presents an important issue of sociolinguistic studies of language and gender. This paper analyzes the means for expressing modality in women's language found in literary discourse. The corpora are comprised of seven novels about Harry Potter in English and Serbian. According to some theoreticians of language and gender, among whom are Coates, Mills, Livia and others, frequent use of epistemic modality presents a significant trait of women's linguistic pattern. If we assume that attitudes and ideologies could be expressed by linguistic features such as modality, this paper aims to compare the modal forms and their meaning in English and Serbian by using contrastive linguistic analysis, determine the differences in linguistic patterns between the two, and attempt to explain possible ideological implications from the CDA perspective.

The paper presents notes about the theoretical-methodological contribution of literary critic Franco Moretti’s sociology of forms to journalism studies. The discussion supports itself on two background hypotheses from the author’s work: i) certain aesthetic-expressive pattern just disseminates itself when it finds support on broader cultural patterns; ii) the symbolic codification process of such cultural patterns do not stablish only on content plan, but on own form, on the aesthetic-expressive dimension of narration. Moreover, the article lists six theoretical-methodological premises for an interdisciplinary interface with journalistic field.

Abstract:
The combination of a past tense verb with a proximal deictic has been identified in the literature as one of the formal markings of free indirect style (Adamson, 1995). In this article, I examine corpus-derived, non-literary occurrences of the pattern, arguing that construction grammar can provide an adequate, all-encompassing framework for both literary and non-literary uses. Defined as conventional pairings of meaning and form, constructions can accommodate all kinds of semantic, pragmatic, discoursal and textual information as part of their meaning. In the case of the past + now pattern such specifications include a particular discourse or text type, namely narrative, which is the licensing context, and whose conventional association with the particular form constitutes precisely a distinct (discourse) construction. Within this constructional context, the past tense makes a predictable, compositional contribution while the present deictic suppresses part of its meaning signalling instead an anchoring to the current experience, thought, perception of the other. Where present, the progressive aspect enhances further this shift in perspective in a way fully consistent with its basic (non-truth conditional, cognitively defined) semantics. I attempt to show that a constructional approach to past + now may therefore pinpoint the source of the viewpoint effect associated with the pattern in all its uses, and illuminate the relationship of free indirect style with constructions of non-literary discourse.

Abstract:
The paper deals with the subject of temporary marriage between Russian sailors and Japanese women in fictional and non-fictional literature. The literary pattern of temporary marriage includes time limitation of the marriage, the language or/and cultural barrier and the man’s leaving at the end. The time limitation sometimes makes one or both spouses consider this marriage as legal, but “not true.” There are two main variants of the pattern in Russian travel notes of the 19th − early 20th century. The first is the positive one (A. Krasnov, D. Schreider, and N. Bartoshewsky). Both husband and wife are kind-hearted people, their family life is pure and real, although they do not entirely understand each other’s language. The second is the negative one (F. Knorring, D. Armfelt, G. de Vollan, and Vinogradov). Husband and wife are both pragmatic, rational, and cold, with the whole tradition turning into a sort of prostitution and insincere comedy. The plot variants, with one of the spouses being pragmatic, mercantile and cruel, and another loving, faithful, and suffering, are not common. Yuzhakov’s travel notes include such a rare case. The asymmetrical variant was more popular in Western fiction (Madame Butterfly). Russian fiction prefers the positive variant of the pattern. In short stories by D. Persky and M. Volkonsky, the authors transform the motives from Madame Chrysanthème by P. Loti and Madame Butterfly by J. L. Long by showing the Russians as noble people and achieving a happy end wherever possible.

Abstract:
The underlying concept of an optional course derives from the course leader’s scholarly interests, allowing him to take an original approach to course contents, particularly  in a course based on an interdisciplinary subject. However, an optional course ought not to be set to merely disseminate extended knowledge; from the first planning instant, it needs to be directed towards the development of the specific competences it is envisaging. An optional course for gymnasium is developed and implemented differently from a lyceum one. Our suggestions concern a design pattern for courses built around literary and cultural personalities, and an open structure for functional literacy courses.

The objective of the research presented in this paper is to expand our existing database of Biblical Hebrew text with data and data structures to have an instrument that will allow a researcher access to various patterns of linguistic phenomena, such as patterns of clause relations, patterns of verbal valence and patterns of participant tracking in texts. It is the area where linguistic analysis and literary analysis meet and even have a considerable overlap. The question is: where can distributional linguistic analysis of patterns and system bring us? Identifying participants is in fact a part of a larger area of text-level research area of experimenting with pattern recognition and the assignment of linguistic functions to particular categories of data distribution. It appears, first, that pattern recognition as a technique to expand the database of classical Hebrew texts with more ‘functional’ features is effective. And, second, that this type of research is best approached from different angles at the same time: text grammar, valence research and participant tracking.
