The journal América (Mexico City, 1940-1960) was founded as a leftist monthly focused on politically uniting Latin American and exiled Spanish youth and, by the end of its print life, was a semifrequent literary anthology sponsored by the Mexican government’s Secretaria de Educación Pública, publishing the early-career writings of Juan Rulfo, Rosario Castellanos, Rodolfo Usigli, and more. Przedmiotem rozprawy jest polskie pole prozy fantastycznej, czyli odmiany twórczości popularnej reprezentowanej m.in. przez powieści Stanisława Lema i Andrzeja Sapkowskiego. Pole to zaczęło powstawać w drugiej połowie lat siedemdziesiątych XX wieku, a w 1982 roku założono periodyk „Fantastyka”. To czasopismo stanowi najważniejsze dla rozprawy źródło danych. Na podstawie jakościowej analizy treści 361 artykułów wstępnych, 82 felietonów i 450 recenzji zbadany został dyskurs na łamach „Fantastyki” z lat 1982–2012. 1 SUMMARY The present thesis deals with cultural and cultural-political journals published between May 1945 and February 1948, as well as polemics that went on during that period. The thesis consists of two interconnected parts - the journals' profiles and the literary-historical introduction that analyzes certain important issues and problems in regard to the journals and selected personalities, placing them in the contemporary social context.
