Abstract:

El presente artículo analiza un corpus representativo de manifestaciones del plurilingüismo en la novela francesa de la última década del siglo XX y en la novela francesa del siglo XXI así como el interés que algunos autores muestran por otras culturas. El estudio establece la tipología de los diferentes empleos del plurilingüismo literario presentes en la novela francesa postmoderna. Asimismo, se analizan las diversas funciones del uso de términos plurilingües, y sus aportaciones a la literatura francesa contemporánea. Por último, se aborda la especial relevancia que el plurilingüismo adquiere en la presentación de una visión plural y multicultural del mundo, en la literatura más actual, así como la presencia de lenguajes narrativos específicos propios de las realidades de la hipermodernidad.

Abstract:

En este trabajo, la autora hace una revisión de uno de los temas espaciales más recurrentes de la novela: la geografía urbana. Ésta no sólo se representa en oposición al ámbito rural sino como entidad autónoma dispuesta a reconstruir en el texto la peculiar idiosincrasia de la metrópolis moderna y postmoderna. Las ciudades significan, pero lo hacen siempre dentro de una arraigada tradición histórico-cultural que crea y alimenta sus propios tópicos o «clichés,» y que sólo lentamente los abandona y sustituye por otros. Poco a poco la ciudad de la literatura va escribiendo su historia y enriqueciendo su colección de estereotipos espaciales.

Abstract:

Debido a la proliferación de editoriales de carácter feminista, a finales de los años ochenta muchos colectivos de mujeres lograron finalmente visibilidad gracias a la literatura postmoderna. Autoras feministas y lesbianas como Jeanette Winterson utilizaron la escritura como un marco artístico donde exponer sus propios procesos de identificación e individualización al rebelarse contra la feminidad heterosexual y normativa impuesta por la sociedad. El objetivo de este artículo es ilustrar como la novela de Winterson Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit (1985) reelabora el concepto original de la novela de aprendizaje y desarrolla una perspectiva lésbica de la novela de formación.Palabras clave: lésbico, Bildungsroman, identidad, homosexual, autobiográfico, autodescubrimiento, Winterson, postmodernismo. The Lesbian Bildungsroman: The Process of Self-discovery in Jeanette Winteson’s Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit (1985)Abstract: Due to the proliferation of feminist publishing houses, such as Pandora Press or Virago, during the late eighties many oppressed female groups finally achieved visibility by means of postmodern literature. Female lesbian and feminist authors, like Jeanette Winterson, used their texts as an artistic framework in which they described their own processes of identification and individuation while rebelling against normative heterosexual femininity as imposed in Western societies. The aim of this paper is to illustrate how Winterson’s novel Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit (1985) reworked the original genre of the “coming-out” novel and developed the concept and practice of the “lesbian Bildungsroman”.Keywords: lesbian, Bildungsroman, identity, homosexual, autobiographical, self-discovery, Winterson, postmodernism.

Abstract:

En este trabajo se analizan las correspondencias estilísticas y semánticas entre el testimonio del personaje de Auxilio Lacouture en el capítulo cuarto de la segunda parte de Los detectives salvajes de la novela del escritor chileno Roberto Bolaño y ciertos pasajes de la del mexicano Fernando del Paso, Noticias del Imperio, en los que recrea el discurso de la emperatriz Carlota de México. Para ello se ha partido de un concepto amplio de la noción de intertextualidad de acuerdo con las aportaciones de algunos de los más reconocidos expertos en la materia, pero sin desatender otros recursos de la literatura postmoderna, que muestran las correlaciones existentes entre los textos analizados.

Abstract:

La novela costarricense se inicia en el siglo xx, amparada a un marcado realismo literario. Desde entonces, ese fue el canon literario constructor de nuestra noción de identidad. Casi un siglo después, en 1980, se inicia un proceso de ruptura: aparición de nuevos tópicos y formas literarias, propios de los movimientos de vanguardia. Este acercamiento a la narrativa de Rafael Ángel Herra, uno de los iniciadores de estos movimientos de vanguardia, implica un análisis de los temas y formas en que paulatinamente inicia su alejamiento del género realista, y construye, gracias a recursos fantásticos, maravillosos y fabulescos, y a un uso erudito de la intertextualidad como principio creador, la figura de un monstruo que se aleja de sus antecedentes realistas y se incorpora con holgura en la literatura postmoderna.

Abstract:

El objetivo de este trabajo es elaborar una poética de los abecedarios contemporáneos, así como un análisis de los procesos de recepción que se le proponen al lector actual. Se ha adoptado un enfoque diacrónico que estudia la evolución de las formas y funciones de estos libros. Desde su función didáctica originaria como recurso para ayudar a los niños a aprender a leer, los abecedarios ilustrados han ido derivando, fundamentalmente desde el siglo XIX, hacia unos planteamientos innovadores muy diversificados que incorporan numerosos recursos literarios y estéticos, así como una original amalgama de géneros tradicionales y contemporáneos. En las últimas décadas se han publicado abecedarios que constituyen un ejemplo paradigmático de la presencia en la literatura infantil de los principales rasgos de la ficción postmoderna. El análisis se ilustra con una muestra representativa de abecedarios publicados tanto en España como en otros países, desde los orígenes del género hasta nuestros días, con una atención especial a los editados en España.

[full article and abstract in French; abstract in English and Lithuanian] L’objectif de cette étude est d’ausculter la relation aussi bien de tension que de séduction que tisse le narrateur contemporain avec la figure paternelle absente, exclue ou perdue. À travers La Place (Gallimard 1983) d’Annie Ernaux et Vies minuscules (Gallimard 1984) de Pierre Michon, nous tenterons de mettre l’accent sur ces liens intrafamiliaux en montrant en quoi la littérature d’aujourd’hui souhaiterait déplacer ses investigations sur des terrains qui relèvent a priori du domaine des sciences humaines et sociales. Les deux textes de notre corpus sont amplement représentatifs de l’avènement de cette littérature émergente dans les années 80 témoignant ainsi, chacun à sa manière, d’une volonté de renouer avec une vieille tradition littéraire (allant d’Homère à Rouaud en passant par Sartre et Camus) qui s’intéressait de près aux rapports narrateur/père. La nouveauté de ces livres tient cependant au fait qu’ils sont des symptômes distinctifs de notre époque. Ils permettent surtout d’exprimer un certain sentiment de malaise (identitaire et/ou langagier) dont souffre l’écrivain postmoderne. Summary The object of this study is to ausculate the relation of tension and seduction that weaves the contemporary narrator with the paternal figure absent, excluded or lost. Through La Place (Gallimard, 1983) of Annie Ernaux and Vies minuscules (Gallimard, 1984) of Pierre Michon, we will try to emphasize intra-family links by showing how today’s literature wishes to move his investigations with human and social sciences subject’s. The two texts of our corpus are amply representative of the advent of this emerging literature, thus demonstrating, each in his own way, a desire to renounce an old literary tradition (from Homer to Rouaud via Sartre and Camus) who is interested in narrative / father relations. The novelty of these books is that they are distinctive symptoms of our time. Above all, they enable us to express a sense of discomfort of the postmodern writer.

Un aspecto de la literatura entendida como producto cultural de masas que me parece especialmente interesante es el modo en que se configura un lugar de enunciación fronterizo en torno a la figura del «grupo pop independiente», que incluye desde luego una explícita voluntad autorial. Estos textos, sin duda, pueden ser leídos de manera contigua a las poéticas contemporáneas, pero además son un lugar de cruce, un espacio de condensación de los imaginarios sociales y sensibilidades contemporáneas.En este articulo me propongo abordar cómo la experiencia de la temporalidad aparece en una serie de letras de canciones de algunos de estos grupos: Los Planetas, a la que pertenece la que me sirve de título, pero también La Habitación Roja, The New Raemon o solistas como José Ignacio Lapido. Esta vivencia oscilará desde un cierto remansamiento del presente, en una renovación del motivo del eterno retorno, a una actualización postmoderna del Tempus fugit, o a una creciente aparición de la memoria individual como tema y disparador de canciones, paradójica fijación del sujeto en el seno mismo del flujo de los discursos masivos.

Abstract:

Članek skuša odgovoriti na vprašanje, kaj naj bi bile glavne poteze glasbenega postmodernizma, in odkriva, zakaj prihaja v njegovem razumevanju v muzikološki literaturi zadnjih dvajsetih let do tako diametralno nasprotnih pogledov. Ti izvirajo iz spisov najzgodnejših teoretikov postmodernizma: medtem ko je za J.–F. Lyotarda postmodernizem pravzaprav radikalizirani podaljšek modernizma, v katerem dokončno "umrejo" vse "velike zgodbe", izpostavlja J. Habermas negativistično plat postmoderne kot moderni sovražnega, "neokonservativnega" obdobja. Konstrukcija pojma (post + modernizem) nakazuje, da mora obstajati aktivna zveza med modernizmom in postmodernizmom, zato so izpostavljene osrednje teorije modernizma in nato še postmodernizma (F. Jameson, J.Baudrillard, J.–F. Lyotard, C. Jencks, J. Kos) – slednje v luči sprememb postmoderne družbe (informacijska sprepletenost, razmah medijev, monopolni kapitalizem, globalizacija). Izkaže se, da je mogoče skupno točko vseh teorij postmodernizma najti v misli B. McHalea, ki je prepričan, da je za postmodernizem značilna ontološka dominanta, ki se kaže kot sopostavljanje različnih svetov. "Sopostavljanje" je mogoče razbrati tudi iz drugih teorij postmodernizma: iz Baudrillardovih razmišljanj o simulakrih, Jencksove teze o "dvojnem kodiranju", Jamesonovega raziskovanja heterogene alegorije in dekonstruktivistične metode iskanja aporij. S "sopostavljanjem" pa so povezani tudi vsi osrednji postmodernistični postopki – simulacija, imitacija, palimpsest, pastiš, citat –, ki postmodernistični glasbi podeljujejo semantične vrednosti. Zadnji del članka opozarja na terminološko nedorečenost v slovenski muzikološki literaturi (D. Cvetko, I. Klemenčič, L. Stefanija), kjer se izraza postmodernizem in postmoderna uporabljata skoraj sinonimno. Zato je predlagano natančno ločevanje med postmodernizmom kot slogovnim obdobjem in postmoderno kot zgodovinsko epoho, taka distinkcija pa omogoča razlikovanje med skladatelji, ki skušajo osmisliti novo "glasbeno gramatiko" (L. Lebič) na ozadju izkušnje modernizma, in tistimi, ki se v luči postmoderne zahteve po komunikativnosti prosto predajajo aplikaciji historičnih, že znanih modelov.

Abstract:

One of the most important elements of postmodernity is the growing awareness of the diversity and potential incommensurability of the various forms of cultural life that sustain groups and individuals and addresses the postmodernist denial that postmodernism is inherently apathetic or hostile to social or political action. Postmodernism is a reaction to the epistemological ideals of modernity. Postmodernism is based on a limited human point of view, and thus becomes a prisoner of its own subjectivity, resulting in two main characteristics, namely pluralism and relativism. This study analyzes the postmodern view that is implemented in Christian education in Indonesia. The method used in this article is a literature study by using philosophical biblical glasses to analyze postmodern views. The result is that postmodern moral education (such as transcendentalism and idealism) has some useful and some negative aspects that should be considered for planning moral education and curriculum development for Christian education in Indonesia. Satu elemen paling penting dari postmodernitas adalah tumbuhnya kesadaran akan keragaman dan potensi ketidakterbandingan dari berbagai bentuk kehidupan budaya yang menopang kelompok dan individu dan membahas penolakan postmodernis bahwa postmodernisme secara inheren apatis atau bermusuhan dengan tindakan sosial atau politik. Postmodernisme merupakan reaksi terhadap cita-cita epistemologis modernitas. Postmodernisme didasarkan pada sudut pandang manusia yang terbatas, dan dengan demikian menjadi tawanan subyektivitasnya sendiri, menghasilkan dua karakteristik utama, yaitu pluralisme dan relativisme. Kajian ini menganalisis pandangan postmodern yang diimplementasikan pada pendidikan Kristen di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan pada artikel ini adalah studi literatur dengan memanfaat kacamata biblis filosofis untuk menganalisa pandangan postmodern. Hasilnya adalah pendidikan moral postmodern (seperti transendentalisme dan idealisme) memiliki beberapa aspek yang berguna dan beberapa negatif yang harus dipertimbangkan untuk perencanaan pendidikan moral dan pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan Kristen di Indonesia.

Abstract:

Starting with a concept of conflict between scientific and narrative knowledge, which is used for explanation of whole history of cultural imperialism of the West, the philosophy of postmodern age ends with emphasizing the need for accepting inevitable existence of different language games in practical discourse. It means the prescription of certain coexistence between different types of knowledge and their protagonists. The source of lasting inclination towards dominance is hidden in flexible nature of scientific knowledge, which ensures for it the self-questioning adaptive capacity, and rigid nature of the narrative knowledge, which has no intention to change at all. On the other side, edifying texts from the times of revival of Bosnian- Muslim literature, start from the idea that science and faith do not collide, and that they are complement in Islamic and other eastern civilisations.

Abstract:

Postmodern societies are increasingly characterized by a hyperpluralism that coincides with an interdependence between social spheres and structures. Actions in one sphere of life often impinge on other spheres of life. This leads to a consistent and endemic conflict between the social dynamics of plurality and the need for social unity. The symbiotic political theory of Johannes Althusius (1557–1638), which attempts to preserve unity through organized plurality, might be helpful in addressing the plurality/unity conundrum so characteristic of postmodern societies. Central to this approach are the anthropological and political notions of symbiosis, association, communication, and sharing. After providing some background to Althusius’s thought, this article discusses his symbiotic anthropology and explicates his symbiotic political theory. The article concludes by identifying five features of Althusius’s political theory that might be helpful to contemporary postmodern society. Les sociétés postmodernes se caractérisent de plus en plus par un hyper-pluralisme ethnoculturel qui coïncide avec une dépendance mutuelle croissante entre diverses sphères et structures sociales. Ce qui se fait dans l’une de ces sphères a souvent un impact sur d’autres. Il en découle un conflit systématique et permanent opposant la dynamique sociale du pluralisme et le besoin d’unité sociale. La théorie politique symbiotique de Johannes Althusius (1557–1638), qui cherche à maintenir l’unité par l’organisation du pluralisme, permettrait d’affronter la contradiction unité/pluralisme qui marque tant les sociétés postmodernes. Cette approche est fondée sur les notions politiques et anthropologiques de symbiose, d’association, de communication et de partage. Dans cet article, après avoir présenté quelques prémisses de la pensée d’Althusius, on examine son anthropologie de la symbiose et on analyse sa théorie politique de la symbiose. On termine l’article avec l’identification de cinq traits de la théorie politique d’Althusius qui pourraient être utiles aux sociétés postmodernes d’aujourd’hui.

Este estudio consistirá en resaltar la presencia de Don Quijote, en la novela Mason y Dixon de Thomas Pynchon, quizás el más cervantino de los escritores norteamericanos del siglo XX. Entenderemos a Mason y Dixon como una sinécdoque de la patente relación entre Don Quijote y la novela postmoderna norteamericana; resultando el Caballero de la Triste Figura el ADN mismo de cualquier novela, las condiciones de posibilidad de cualquier ficción, una esfinge ineludible en las propuestas novelísticas del porvenir. Esta lectura se dividirá en dos partes. Abstract:

The thesis addresses the issue of functioning of philosophy in popular culture. The representative example for this problem is literature popularizing philosophy. The major historical determinants of the idea of propagating and disseminating philosophy have been indicated. An analysis of propaedeutic literature of philosophy has been carried out on the basis of the following criteria: history, selected issues, critical and systematic thinking, orientation toward the method/style of philosophizing. The main goal of the thesis is to attempt to explain the importance of all introductions to philosophy aimed at strengthening popular culture. The last decades are characterized by varied proposals in this regard, which the presented paper tries to discuss in detail. The convention of contemporary postmodern formation (homogenization, universal accessibility, universality) seems to foster these kinds of activities.

La autoficción se ha convertido en el catalizador teórico a partir del que se examinan cuestiones de largo alcance como la redistribución permanente de las fronteras de la ficción o el proceso de autoficcionalización generalizada propio de la sociedad postmoderna. El objetivo de este artículo es ofrecer una diagnosis del debate teórico actual en torno a la autoficción con tal de determinar los usos de la misma como etiqueta genérica así como los límites de esta ambigua categoría. Más allá de los criterios estrictamente estilísticos y textuales o incluso de la naturaleza paradójica del plano pragmático, el estudio muestra la necesidad de superar la doxa panficcionalista que envuelve a las prácticas postmodernas de la autoficción. Solo así podrán evaluarse las implicaciones temáticas, ontológicas y antropológicas de una forma de estar en el mundo como impostor, así como la evolución histórica de este modo de impostura literaria.

Die Gedichte ost- wie westdeutscher Autoren, die im Jahr 1989/90 entstanden sind, verarbeiten die Brüche, die sich aus dem Ende der DDR ergeben, vielfach mithilfe postmoderner Schreibweisen. Der Aufsatz nimmt die Isolation des Individuums und die Offenheit der Zukunft als zentrale Themen dieser Texte in den Blick, die in ihnen mithilfe zahlreicher Zitate und durch Ironisierung verarbeitet werden.The essay examines ,Wendelyrik‘ as the beginning of contemporary German literature. The poems by East and West German authors written in 1989/90 deal with the ruptures resulting from the end of the GDR, for which they often use techniques of postmodern literature. The article focuses on the isolation of the individual and the openness of the future as central themes of these texts, which are processed with the extensive use of quotations and through irony.

The scientific problem lies in the fact that consumer needs in the postmodern1 era, as a response to the growing significance of the socio-emotional values in contemporary society, are stated rather than examined in a specific industry context to identify the feature of the needs which dominates in consumers within a specific industry. The paper presents an analysis of the motivating consumer needs within the Lithuanian mobile telecommunications sector, enabling identification of the prevailing type of consumers (based on the features of motivation needs), which affects consumer commitment to a specific service provider.This work aims at testing the assumption that the socio-emotional feature dominating in the needs of consumers in the postmodern era is characteristic of the consumer needs in the Lithuanian mobile telecommunications sector. The dominating feature of consumer needs was identified on the basis of the scientific literature examining the concept of postmodern marketing, which reveals the system of needs characteristic of contemporary consumers and its features.The analysis of consumer needs, made in the Lithuanian mobile telecommunications sector, is relevant in that motivating consumer needs are differentiated into the notional types depending on the characteristics of those needs. The practical outcome of the analysis is relevant as it explains the basic causes that determine the consumer commitment and/or buying/consumption decisions.

Šiame straipsnyje siūlomos dvi galimos šio susiliejimo kryptys: 1) ribų tarp realybės ir išmonės išnykimas. Kartu su G. Vattimo atsisakę korespondentinės tiesos teorijos, prieisime prie išvados apie principinę galimybę bet kuriam naratyvui būti teisingam (angl. truthful). Nihilistiniam mąstymui būdingas silpnesnis realybės jausmas, skeptiškas požiūris į sveiko proto ar natūralistinę poziciją. Tokia situacija,aprašyta Nietzsche’s, skirtį tarp realaus pasaulio ir net neįtikėtinų pasakų daro iš principo neįmanomą. Iš to plaukia keletas toli siekiančių epistemologinių ir etinių konsekvencijų. 2) Susiliedama su literatūra, nihilistinė filosofija ieško kalbos, galinčios artikuliuoti niekį, reprezentuoti tai, kas nereprezentuojama. Susiliedama su literatūra nihilistinė filosofija gali gyvuoti ir neturėdama ką pasakyti.Pagrindiniai žodžiai: nihilizmas, hermeneutika, pramanytumas, niekis, postmodernus.Philosophy and Literature: Two Lines of FusionLeo Luks SummaryIn the article “The Fusion of Philosophy and Literature in Nihilist Thought” (Problemos 2010, 77) I argued that post-metaphysical philosophy should intensify its dialogue with literature to the point of their eventual fusion. In this paper I will start from the conclusions of my previous article and will highlight two possible lines of this fusion:1) The disappearance of the boundary between reality and fiction. Once we let go of the correspondencetheory of truth, as Vattimo recommends, we will arrive at the principled possibility of the truthfulness of any and all narratives. Nihilist thought is characterised by a weakened sense of reality, a renouncement of common sense and naturalism. This condition, described by Nietzsche,where making a distinction between the real world and tall tales is impossible in principle, has several far-reaching epistemological and ethical consequences.2) In its fusion with literature, nihilist thought seeks for a language to articulate the nothing, to represent the unrepresentable. In the paper I will analyse this pursuit by way of the concepts of postmodernity, the space of literature, and anxiety. El artículo aborda la revolucionaria lectura de la novela Tristram Shandy (1767) de L. Sterne por los formalistas rusos (Shklovski), que subrayó la importancia de los aspectos formal y paródico de esa obra, calificada también como la primera novela postmoderna. No obstante, la parodia como herramienta de reflexión metaliteraria está en uso desde la antigüedad griega. Se aborda paralelamente el hito principal de la teoría literaria y cultural rusa –la reconexión con la tradición filosófica premoderna– que ilustra que toda labor hermenéutica depende de las normas estéticas de la tradición cultural desde la cual se estudia.The article tackles a revolutionary reading of the Laurence Sterne’s novel Tristram Shandy (1767) by Russian Formalism (V. Shklovsky, 1921), focused on the importance of its formal and parodic aspects. The novel has also been assessed as the first postmodern novel in history. But the parody is being used as a tool for metaliterary thinking from the times of the Ancient Greece. Thus, this text also tackles the principal milestone of the Russian Literature and Cultural Theory –its reconnecting with the pre- Modern philosophical tradition– illustrating how our hermeneutic work depends on the aesthetic norms of the cultural tradition we belong to.

AbstractActivism can involve an individual or a collection of a few people. The practice of activism is often perceived as negative and destructive actions. In the literature of public relations, we will discover how the activist group pressure group categorized into the “source of trouble” and must be addressed by public relations practitioners. This perspective led to a bias that leads to marginalization of “activist public” in public relations literature. Marginalization process lasts through two methods: (1) the provision of which tend negative stigma, (2) the dominance of the paradigm of “corporate centric” in the literature of public relations. This article presents an alternative paradigm of the postmodern paradigm in view of the role and functions of the public activists.AbstrakAktivisme bisa melibatkan seorang individu ataupun kumpulan beberapa orang. Praktek aktivisme seringkali dipersepsikan sebagai tindakan yang negatif dan destruktif. Dalam literatur public relation, kita akan menemukan bagaimana kelompok aktivis dikategorikan kedalam kelompok penekan yang menjadi “sumber masalah” dan harus diatasi oleh praktisi public relations. Perspektif ini memunculkan bias yang mengarah pada marjinaliasi “publik aktivis” dalam literature public relation. Proses marjinalisasi berlangsung melalui dua cara: (1) pemberian stigma yang bertendensi negative, (2) adanya dominasi paradigma “corporate centric” dalam literatur public relation. During the last three decades a growing amount of literature has accumulated that, to quote from the title of a recent collection of essays, can aptly be summed up with the words: The Empire Writes Back. This literature addresses Western literature and science and definitively rejects much of that literature and its stereotypes. It shows how power is at the center of Western literature, and it therefore addresses issues of hegemony, language, place and displacement, racism and sexism, and it attempts to address a common post-colonial theory. This critical literature, sometimes extreme but usually insightful, coincided with the postmodern crisis in ethnography and other cultural sciences that have also assimilated literary theory. Some of the greatest philosophers, sociologists, psychologists, historians, and cultural scientists are either ignorant of world history or adamantly ethnocentric. Ethnohermeneutics is an appeal to professionalism in dealing with these cultures, especially in requiring the basics of the study of any other religion, namely, historical insight, linguistic knowledge.
