Full textOur esay has two objectives : make an inventory of plays published in French Congo in 1965-1997 ; study the material in these parts and motivations of playwrights through the themes raised. This research leads us to ask ourselves the following questions : What we propose the congolese theater in an environment binding and riveted on essentially economic concerns and where human efforts contribute to finding appropriate solutions to free themselves politically and economically? What can the well-being of the congolese? Its impact on their behavior? His future? Why theater ? Why congolese contemporary theater edited in french ? Why the ideological content? We take the substance, the ideas conveyed in this theater. For his material is the very substance and quintessence of our essay. The ideological content explain the motivations of playwrights. The plan accordingly different teachings and reflections. The thesis dissects the philosophy, ideas, political, social, cultural and economic contained in this theater. We are confident that his practice, his teachings and reflections bring, mutatis mutandis, major changes in congolese companies wallowing in misery indescribable. Changes and change of attitude in tum should contribute to the reconstruction of the democratic republic of Congo, our dear country

Full textThe zairean literary works in french language owe their origin to the combined efforts of five principal factors : the introduction of french in the educational system of the belgian congo, the establishment of public libraries in the colony, the creation of socio-cultural circles with literary competition for the educated natives, the admission of blacks to press writings and finally, the alteration of the colonial literary works by the replacement of their approach to african realities. During the colonial period, the congolese narrative literature was marked by the works of paul lomami-tshibamba, one of the rare belgian congo writers to describe the awful change of the traditional african societies in contact with western civilisation. The extensive work of the traditional novelist exploits the relationship, established by the african mythology, between the visible world and the supernatural forces. Particularly inspired by the myth founders, inspired by the myth fonders, the authors magnified the greatness of traditional african civilisation with an effort to put its values in the modern world. Presently, the remarkable stride in the production of zairean literary works points in two directions : the intellectual writers who question the coming of the west into africa and the realist writers that challenge and condemn the bad management of public affaires by post-independent african leaders. Having attained maturity and autonomy in the mastery of writing, the zairean literary works now look forward to a nationwide spread. Their future is remarkably tied to that of francophony in africa

Full textThere is genuine continuity between the congolese oral tradition and literature penned in the french linguage by the writers of our time : continuity in "collage" form. On the one hand they are the well-known african literary genres such as songs, tales, proverbs, myths, legends, parables and yarns and, on the other, a type of veneer drawn from the maternal bantu languages : ladi-kongo, munukutuba (kikongo), lingala, vili, bembe, mbochi (mbosi), and the other. . . Effectively, since the ivory cast writer ahmadou kourouma launched his renowned novel sun of independence (heinemann educator), an african form of "nouveau roman" has come into being, not perhaps to the compared with michel butor's passing time (jupiter bks) : yet a distinct manner of "nouveau roman" none the less. It embodies a series of works that stand apart, headed by Sony Labou Tansi, closely followed by Henri Lopes, Sylvain Bemba, Tchitchelle Tchivela, and Emmanuel Boundzeki-Dongala. While each one retains his individuality. They embellish their texts lexical and grammatical features, known elsewhere "africanisms" and locally "congolisms"

Full textSymbolism and African reality in the narrative works of Tchicaya U Tam'si is the title of this thesis. With it we face the task to study the tchicayen symbolism. We shall bring out the stylistic scheme followed by the author and the reality unfolding through his writings. The narrative work of Tchicaya U Tam'si which we present is a tetralogy. The first three novels represent a trilogy with titles taken from the world of animals: Les cancrelats (The cockroaches), Les méduses (The sea-nettles), Les phalènes (The moths) and the fourth novel Ces fruits si doux de l'arbre à pain (These sweet fruits of the baobab), which followed, symbolizes the extension of the trilogy. We define this as a narrative world without reticence showing an affinity to what Barthes called in defining the French novel of the XIXth century "an autarkic universe which creates its own dimensions and limits, disposing here its time, its space, its population, its collection of objects and myths. " to embrace this universe we shall systematically study its genesis, we shall point out the different structures and interconnections and we shall then endeavor a systematization of the tchicaven symbolism. The conclusion will be dedicated to the ambiguity coming to its own in these novels

Full textThe Memory has an important place, in our societies in general as well in literature, particularly where it became an unavoidable reference, an ethical and poetic requirement to have a better understanding of our past. For decades yet the questions related to our memory increasingly come back on the political and literary scene. This thesis intends to reflect on the writing of Memory considered in a postcolonial perspective through the historical contemporary novel. The title and thedebate raised put in relation the Algerian, Congolese and Haitian literature in the aim to analyse the representation of the past with the following novels The Woman without sepulcher from Assia Djebar, The Lily and Flamboyant from Henri Lopes, The Infamous Rosalie from Évelyne Trouillot and Dancing shadows or zombi, it’s me from Hans Christoph Buch. The omnipresence of the theme of memory in these four novels and the entanglement of the facts of the History and the particular draws of the characters presented invite to a comparative approach. This approach is adopted here so it canfeed a reflexive look on the cultural practices of the Algerian, Congolese and Haitian societies. This study has the goal to first display the theoretical foundations of Memory notions and concepts, from postcolonialism proceeding to their exegesis. Then, it examines the representation of the past in the African and Caribbean culturals spaces through their selected artwork. Finally, it builds a poetic of the postcolonial memory in the historical contemporary novel. Painted like a rewriting of the History, appear here the outlines of a whole series of auctorial practices entering in a permanent new twist of the Historiography texts
