Full textFor black africa, white africa also called the maghreb is at one and the same time nearest and most far away, because of the sahara desert which lies between them. To cross it, we have gone through the paths of history, sociology, ethnology and also the local maghrebian story. Most particularly have we let literature issues talk, from which we were to discover that up to now black africa, for most white africans, arabs and berbers, still is a slave tank; that black is the colour of slavery and that black characters stand for a third-class humanity, assuming for most of them stupid and degrading parts. What the writers, arabs or berbers, do not aven seem to be aware of. To bring them all arabs, berbers and blacks to such conscience does this thesis launch an urgent call for a better status of the black colour, and consequently good relationships between both racial groups

Full textThe child character has an important role in the Maghrebin literature expressed in French. Omnipresent in the novel, he undertakes the narration of the story or he forms the subject of this narrative. Sensitive to all that happens around him, he looks at the world with big eyes innocently surprised; his fruitful imagination fills the world with ogres and ogresses, with angels and fairies. It livens up objects and makes them conscious and alive. The child presents another characteristic: by this ingenuousness and naivety, he says "taboo word" and the writer gives it to him because he knows he is the only that can. At home, he has a catalyst role; he is a mean of contact, the person who subordinates males to females. His absence is felt as a lack difficult to put up with. Concerning the relationships with parents, we can say that they are close with the mother and ambivalent with the father: love and respect are mixed with fear, mistrust and hatred. At the Koranic School as at the Franco-Muslim one, the child sees in the teacher the substitute of the father. Then he criticizes his educational methods and the contents of his education. Later, he will have a grudge against society because he thinks it is responsible of his misfortune. He will tell the sufferings bore during his youth and will report how he has reacted to violence which has hit his body and his soul. It remains to be seen if the picture given by writers is true to the reality lived by all the Maghrebin children or if it is a pure literary invention

Full textFor a ceintury, north africa people has been going to france. So it is logical that a cultural expression half way between orient and occident was born. Born in 80, this new litterature consists now of 12 novels. We have try to analyse according to different analytic methods its particularities and to understand why young arabs write about themselves and their community. Firstly, we try to see in witch socio historical context this new litterature was born. Then by inner exploration, we have releaved its themes and its relations with original and adoptive cultures. In the end, we try to understand the different identity notions the auteurs and the heros developpe and in witch way this litterature can exist in futur or not

Full textThe purpose of this work is to study the relation which exists between the mystcism and the desert, taking as a base some examples from the french litterature and the maghrebean litterature in french language in the light of of both holy books : the bible and the coran as being the first spiritual source, of which i spoke about in the first part. This one is about the cosmic imperfection and the space of death as a consequence of drught where the human being learns about his condition : his finishing and his relation with his creator. Starting with the second main part the center of interest is the litterature in which remains the impact of the holly books concerning the travel and the originary truth azs well as the profane space and time which allow the passage to the initiation and the discovery of symbols of transcendance and the presence of the verb. In the third part, the absolute reality give way to the completness and the learning of the mystical act, conceived as a painful birth of the writing and therefore an exil to the life. At least the writing and therefore an exil to the life. At least the writing is a one-way trip, a destiny to take on and a light to reach in the alchimy of the perfect happiness

Full textThis research work proposes to analyse the permanent as well as the changing features in the texts of kateb, boudjedra khatibi and khair-eddine. Availing itself of the key concepts of "poetics" and "intertextuality", this study highlights a cluster of paradigms that we regard as variables of one another. An open reading of these paradigms indicates that the very process of production reproduction and transformation sustains a poetics constantly seeking new values. As a matter of fact and pastiche subvert playfully definitive structures and rigid codes as well as broaden the scope for a literature heralding the advent of new possibilities of its own investigation

Full textAs a starting point, this thesis bases on an observation related to the evolution of the use of irony in the literary text from the maghreb of the eighties, a difficult period. In order to reason this, the following objectives have been drawn : to derive, with regard to irony, its transmission modes, its mechanisms as well as its functions, as part of an author reader communication. Thus, the first part of this work defines irony, operationally, presents the corpus and elaborates a reading frame. Then, the analysis follows two perspectives : that of semiology, with the reading of the epitexts, and that of narratology, with the reading of the extracts, according to the narrator, the character and the situation modes. The conclusions show that irony has a conflicting origin, and that its functions are generally meant for the exteriorization and or anti-establishment, to lead to a heuristic aim. It constitutes, therefore, a real evolution in the glance, the writing and the author reader relations, in the french written literature from the maghreb of that time
