Abstract:
Science was created in an effort of people to survive in given circumstances and to explain their existence to themselves, mainly by proving that God is the creator of all life . Today we know that all living things have a common denominator, DNA. Without DNA there is no life. All life forms, i.e. substantive content of life, can be broken down into individual components and their functions, which will ultimately always lead us to DNA molecule. Therefore, we undoubtedly know that all life is based on a code written in DNA molecule.

Abstract:
The use of barcodes for record keeping in botanic gardens has been pioneered before, but attempts have not always been successful. It has even been claimed that, for use in living collections, barcodes are altogether obsolete. This is difficult to imagine given the success of barcodes in almost any professional logistic or auto-ID application. We have tried to find the ‘sweet spots’ of barcode use and have implemented the technology at the Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam. Integrated with the list-making functionality in the collection management software, barcodes have proved to be an invaluable tool in improving the quality and accuracy of the inventory.

Abstract:
ANDREW SHONFIELD DID NOT DISCOVER THE HIDDEN AFFINITY between modern corporatism and modern capitalism. John Maynard Keynes should probably be credited with that insight, even if it is contained in just a paragraph cited in part by Shonfield) in his essay: The End of Laissez-Faire. Mihail Manoilesco, an economist of lesser renown and much less reputable politics, was probably the first to offer a systematic argument to this effect, but he located its site on the periphery of European capitalism and (mistakenly) believed that it could only be brought into existence through imposition from above, either by the state bureaucracy or by ‘un parti unique.’ For a while, Mussolini's corporativismo seemed to prove him right. With its ignominious collapse, the concept disappeared from respectable political discourse -except as an insult to throw at one's opponents.
