Abstract:
Rice lesion mimic mutants (LMMs) form spontaneous lesions on the leaves during vegetative growth without pathogenic infections. The rice LMM group includes various mutants, including spotted leaf mutants, brown leaf mutants, white-stripe leaf mutants, and other lesion-phenotypic mutants. These LMM mutants exhibit a common phenotype of lesions on the leaves linked to chloroplast destruction caused by the eruption of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the photosynthesis process. This process instigates the hypersensitive response (HR) and programmed cell death (PCD), resulting in lesion formation.

The flexibility of parametrizations of the LIBOR market model (LMM) comes at a cost, namely the LMM is high-dimensional, which makes it cumbersome to use when pricing derivatives with early exercise features. One way to overcome this issue for short- and medium-term time horizons is by imposing the separability condition on the volatility functions and approximating the model using a single time-step approximation. In this paper, we examine the flexibility of separable LMMs under the relaxed assumption that the driving Brownian motions can be correlated. In particular, we are interested in how

In genome-wide association studies, linear mixed models (LMMs) have been widely used to explore the molecular mechanism of complex traits. However, typical association approaches suffer from several important drawbacks: estimation of variance components in LMMs with large scale individuals is computationally slow; single-locus model is unsatisfactory to handle complex confounding and causes loss of statistical power. To address these issues, we propose an efficient two-stage method based on hybrid of restricted and penalized maximum likelihood, named HRePML. Firstly, we performed restricted ma

Abstract:
Lipomyelomeningocele (LMMC) is a form of spinal dysraphism involving a lipomatous malformation of the distal spinal cord. Physical examination may reveal cutaneous markers such as subcutaneous fat pads, asymmetric gluteal cleft, atypical dimples, hemangiomas, or atretic tails. A complete work-up should include magnetic resonance imaging to assess the anatomy of the lipomatous malformation, as well as associated findings in the spinal axis such as syringomyelia, Chiari malformation, or additional dysraphic elements. Patients with LMMC carry a high risk for deterioration of urologic and neurologic function. Untethering of the spinal cord and resection of the lipoma should be considered. Difficulties with incision healing, including leakage of cerebrospinal fluid, are common complications of surgical treatment and can be minimized with meticulous closure and close post-operative monitoring.
