DWIs do not contain signal bias caused by thermal noise but also outliers introduced by physiological noise. The least square estimator , the classic diffusion tensor estimator in the estimation of DTI, will produce the optimal result in diffusion tensor on the condition that the distribution of the error is Gaussian, while it cannot lead to a robust result if outliers exist. According to the problem exist in LS method, LMS robust estimator is proposed to estimate the diffusion tensor in this paper. By analyzing the input and output data of memoryless power amplifier (PA), we construct the polynomial model and study the nonlinearities characteristics of it. Based on that the mathematic model of predistorter is gained, Least-square (LS) and adaptive LMS are used respectively to solve the question. Simulation results demonstrate predistortion can effectively correct the nonlinearities and both LS and LMS work well depending on different conditions.

Abstract. We present a modeling study of the troposphere-to-stratosphere transport (TST) of pollution from major biomass burning regions to the tropical upper troposphere and lower stratosphere (UT/LS). TST occurs predominately through 1) slow ascent in the tropical tropopause layer (TTL) to the LS and 2) quasi-horizontal exchange to the lowermost stratosphere (LMS). We show that biomass burning pollution regularly and significantly impacts the composition of the TTL, LS, and LMS. Fisheries data often contain inaccuracies due to various errors, if such errors meet the Gauss–Markov conditions and the normality assumption, strong theoretical justification can be made for traditional least-squares (LS) estimates. However, these assumptions are not always met. Rather, it is more common that errors do not follow the Gauss–Markov and normality assumptions. Outliers may arise due to heterogenous variabilities. This results in a biased regression analysis. The sensitivity of the LS regression analysis to atypical values in the dependent and/or independent variables makes it dif

The weighed total least square (WTLS) estimate is very sensitive to the outliers in the partial EIV model. A new procedure for detecting outliers based on the data-snooping is presented in this paper. Firstly, a two-step iterated method of computing the WTLS estimates for the partial EIV model based on the standard LS theory is proposed. Secondly, the corresponding w-test statistics are constructed to detect outliers while the observations and coefficient matrix are contaminated with outliers, and a specific algorithm for detecting outliers is suggested. However, these adaptive filters cannot well-exploit fading channel statistics. Lynch syndrome (LS) is a common cause of hereditary colorectal cancer (CRC). Some CRC patients develop mismatch repair deficiency without germline pathogenic mutation, known as Lynch-like syndrome (LLS). We compared the risk of CRC in first-degree relatives (FDRs) in LLS and LS patients. LLS was diagnosed when tumors showed immunohistochemical loss of MSH2, MSH6, and PMS2; or loss of MLH1 with BRAF wild type; and/or no MLH1 methylation and absence of pathogenic mutation in these genes. CRC and other LS-related neoplasms were followed in patients diagnosed with LS and LLS and among their FDRs.
