Abstract:
The article focusses on the medicalisation of procreation promoted by the colonial governement in Transjordan and on the consequent transformation of birth practices in the local society. It specifically investigates the impact of public health policies on colonised women’s lives considering the ways the former changed local procreation practices and the new life trajectories they elicited for the women who chose to train as birth attendants. Transjordanian midwives and nurses trained in the newly imposed biomedical system became at the same time objects and agents of social change contributing in the long term to the transformation of birth, parenting and family representations.

Abstract:
This research examined the effect of infrastructure on rural transformation of Gboko local government area of Benue state, Nigeria. Both primary and secondary source of data and information were used for the study and questionnaire was used to obtained information from the primary source while journals and internet constituted secondary source of information. The population for this study is four hundred and seventy two (472) respondents from the study area. The statistical tools employed were the Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficients (r) to examine all the hypotheses of the study. The findings of the study indicates that a positive or direct relationship exists between Rural Transformation (RUT) and Agricultural Activities ACA in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State and the relationship is statistically significant (p<0.01). Hence, we accept that there is relationship between agricultural activities and rural transformation. A positive or direct relationship between Rural Transformation (RUT) and Small Business Development (SBD) in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State. The result of the study indicates that the strength of the relationship is 0.174** or 17.4% and the relationship is statistically significant (p<0.01). There is an inverse relationship between Rural Transformation (RUT) and Social Challenges (SOC) in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State. It was concluded that infrastructure enhances rural transformation. It was recommended among others that The individual communities should come up with ideas of training their children in the small business development while at the same time reach out to the government to help with all the necessary help needed to improve the development of small business in the study area.

Abstract:
<div><p><em>The thrust of the study is to examine the activities of household women generally, identifying some of the structural challenges with a view to identify the multiplicity of their circumstances as social actors. It explores the dynamic roles of household in development with particular reference to Lafia metropolis of Nassarawa State in the middle belt of Nigeria. The study was conducted at the background of reports of the numerous socio-economic challenges of women in Nigeria in particular in the context of political challenges in comprehensive state building. The research designed employed was a survey of 400 questionnaires administered on 400 respondents gathered using clusters and purposive sampling technique. Contrary to some expectations, the findings of this research revealed that household women in Lafia metropolis actively engage in some form of active economic functions to better the lives of families amidst acute infrastructural and socio-economic challenges. This study has many implications, primarily generating a data base for a nuanced understanding of household women’s role that will serve as basis for gender equity and subsequently achieving sustainable development. It also contributes to the current debate on the role of household women in the informal sector and in the economy. More so, it gives a clear picture of how some African household women make meaning in their daily lives. The study recommends that the state government should appreciate the role of household women through providing them with microeconomic support and various empowerment policies and schemes.</em></p></div>

One manifestation of the implementation of fiscal decentralization is determination sources of revenue for regions that can be extracted and used itself according to their potential. Authority of the local governement realized by collecting taxes and levies regulated in the Law Number 28 of 2009 concerning Regional Taxes and Regional Levies. Authority to collect tax on the Tax Object Regions are divided into two, namely Provincial and Regency / City Taxes. Based on Article 2 paragraph (1) and (2) Law Number 28 of 2009 concerning Regional Taxes and Regional Retribution. The Indonesian tax administrators on behalf of the local government therefore need to establish innovative services which support the taxpayer in submitting the information needed by the tax officers. This needs to do more than just reduce the asymmetric information between taxpayers and tax officers. There needs to be a strong information management infrastructure in order to deal with huge, clerical, routine, and transactional tax information.Innovation on tax collecting must be in accordance with some principles in tax and tax collecting. Indonesia government through local government has been making some innovation to maximize the tax collecting so that able to increase the regional original revenue (PAD).

Abstract:
Federal legislation, federal authorities and the scientific community share the idea of municipal entities as the most important element of local self-government without which local self-governement will not last a day. But in practice, due to the direct requirements of federal legislation, municipal entities’ charters can exist only in the form of a document that almost completely duplicates the rules of laws. Only on a very limited list of issues does the representative bodies still have variability in the formulation of charters. The question arises: why is it necessary to duplicate at the local level a significant number of directly applicable federal legislation? Municipal entities are created, their local self-government bodies are successfully formed and begin to work even before the adoption of the charter. Thus, charters have no constituent significance. It is quite possible to examine issues of local importance and the powers of local self-government bodies without referring to the charter of the municipality. It turns out that the charter is just a verbatim copy of the norms of federal laws that does not establish anything and is far from being the only and the best source of information about the structure of local self-government. Having no practical use, being a relic of the 1990s, having turned into an end in itself, the institution of charters is subject to abolition.

Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to analyze the tax policy on subsidized fuel of diesel oil in Indonesia. Currently, subsidized fuel in Indonesia are taxed Value Added Tax (VAT) by central government and Vehicle Fuel Tax by local government. This research is using post positivist approach with qualitative method of research. The results of this research conclude tax on subsidized fuel oil are taken by goverment with the purpose of revenue productivity for both central governement and local government. Besides, to control the consumption of subsidized fuel in the public. By taxing 2 kind of taxes on subsidized fuel diesel oil incurring the double taxation and resulting those taxes are not neutral for economic since the subsidized fuel are the vital public needs. Government should evaluate the tax policy on subsidized fuel diesel oil by exempting the VAT on subsidized fuel in order to maintain the economic stability and make a strict policy on controlling the consumption on subsidized fuel diesel oil only for them who reserve to get the subsidy.

Since it was issued by president as we know as Presidential Instruction Number 9 of 2000, there was no any significance changin in gender equality. This research was developed by some previous researches in Indonesia that found many regulations have setted to promote gender equality, but there was no significant action that showed by local government to implement it. So, this study try to seek what the obstacle that hampered gender reponsive budgeting implementation in local government. Documentation study and depth interview were the the tools to capture the data. The research found some obstacles such us the understanding of gender concept among government official, political will, and resistance to change. Some strategies to handle these obstacles are (1) political committment affirmation; (2) technical capacity affirmation; (3) accountability; (4) establish planning and budgeting department; (5) build the network with private sector, academicion, and society empowerment activity group. Contribution of this research include to developed theory in public sector accounting especially in budgeting process, and give understanding about gender responsive budgeting in local government. The last important contribution is to give suggestion and overview for Manado City governement to start gender responsive budgeting implementation.

Abstract:
Traffic congestion in the distric of Ubud is an urgent problem. It is a logical consequence of the unpreparedness of Ubud in the face of rapid development of tourism. Construction of facilities and infrastructure provided for tourists, continuously carried out without analyzing the carrying capacity of Ubud as a tourism destination. The failure of governement authorities in managing public space in Ubud led to the emergence of traffic congestion. The purpose of this research is to find out the cause of traffic congestion as well as the action is being pursued by local community in solving traffic congestion. In this research, there are quantitative and qualitative data derived from primary and secondary data. The techniques to collect data were using observation, in-depth interview and literature study. Informants were determined by choosing the first informant, followed by key informants. The data obtained was analyzed using qualitative method and explained descriptively. Research shows the factors causing traffic congestion in the distiric of Ubud are emerged directly by two categories, internal and external categories. Local community managed to solve congestion with the realization of two central parkings, shuttle bus, traffic management and revitalization of pedestrian and traffic signs.Without real action from local government, local community have tried to solve traffic congestion with their own resources and ideas.

There is a positive relationship between the high woman representation in public and the success of corruption and poverty eradication. This means that the role of women becomes very strategic along with the increase of woman representation in public region. In Indonesia, the problem is that woman represen­tation is very low in public region, and from time to time it tends to decline. The low woman representation indicates that the motivation of women to lead is lower than men. It is estimated that work-family conflicts and ambition of women are the significant factors which is cause the low motivation of women to lead in Indonesia. The population consists of the civil servants of local governement in “Gerbangkertasusila” East Java. The data were collected by distributing questionares to respondents. Four relationship hypotheses were signifincantly proven. These are : 1) the motivation of women to lead is lower than man; 2) the higher of women’s work family conflict, the weaker the motivation of women to lead ; 3) the stronger motivation of women to lead, the stronger of women’s work family conflicts; 4) the stronger the interaction between women’s ambition and work-family conflict, the weaker the motivation of women to lead.

Abstract:
In 1809, in the territories of the Austrian Partition, which had been taken away from Austrians by Polish soldiers, the Central Provisional Military Government of Galicia was formed. The duties of the Governement was the reorganization of administration in Galicia and organization of military troops. The President of the Government was Stanisław Kostka Zamoyski, the most popular and richest magnate in Galicia. Representatives of the local nobility were appointed to other positions in the Government and in the poviat administration bodies. Archive materials allowed the tracing of 53 members. They were born between 1740 and 1780, most often from rich landed gentry and nobility. They owned estates in the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Their career path was typical of the social state they represented. Educated, most often in the spirit of the Enlightenment, they took their first steps in public service as administrative officials or military personnel. Some of these careers seemed to have been above average, but the fall of the country in 1795 led to their their interruption. Withdrawing from public life, they returned in 1809. This article, an attempt to form a characteristic of this group, is part of the research on the elite of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth at the turn of the 19th century.

Abstract:
This study aims to determine the possibility of granting of guarantees and interest subsidies by central government in· order to accelerate the provision of drinking water, as stated in the Presidential Regulation 29 of 2009, based on Islamic principles. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Collecting the data used in this study using the literature study. Data collected through the research literature related to the topic of study to obtain secondary data. It was concluded that the government guarantee as stipulated in the Presidential Regulation 29 of 2009 can be implemented based on Islamic financing and using the kafalah and the qardh contracts. The Kafalah contract put. the Government as guarantor (kafil).The Qardh contract implementation would be used in the event of payment of guarantee claims. The Qardh put the Government as provider of funds for payment to Islamic banking. Upon payment of warranty claims, the Government may request repayment to PDAM and local government. The interest subsidy in the Presidential Regulation 29 of 2009 can be converted into margin subsidy using the Hawalah contract, the Government accept the transfer of liability to the bank On the basis of the realization of partial payment obligations through subsidy mechanism, the Governement waived the right to claim to PDAM. The increasing HIV-AIDS with some cases in 2014 make be concerned by local governement, NGOs and people in Malang. The volunteers are the backbone in the process of preventing the wider of HIV-AIDS. The method that is used by volunteers are the Behavior Change Communication (BCC) program as a method to persuade people who are injected HIV-AIDS and people who has high risk in HIV-AIDS. Furthermore, the BCC is also a method to promote the importantce of having save sex in order to avoid being injected by HIV-AIDS. Allave purpose to decrease and prevent HIV-AIDS di Malang. The volunters are the actors in BCC program so they need high skill to employ BCC as tool for persuasive people with HIV-AIDS (ODHA) or high risk of HIV-AIDS (RESTI) to have save sex. Hence, the research have purpose to identify and evaluate how strategy the volunter and institution in improving capacity building through workhop, periodictly meeting, improving mass media and application BCC based on situation and social setting from ODHA and RESTI as significance group. This research use mixed method: quantitative and qualitative methods. This research show that capacity building toward volunteer is complited during recruitment and conducting program. Capacity building is conducted by some institutions: NGOs, fundings and government. Besides, BCC is effective for preventing HIV-AIDS which save sex is conducted by RESTI as adopters group.

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk melihat sejauh mana tingkat kesiapan Kota Ambon untuk mendukung pelaksanaan Maluku sebagai Lumbung Ikan Nasional (M-LIN) yang dianalisis dengan metode RAPFISH yang dimodifikasi menggunakan Multi Dimensional Scalling (MDS). Metode penelitian digunakan yaitu metode survey. Data yang digunakan terdiri dari data primer dan sekunder. Pengambilan data primer dilakukan terhadap responden melalui wawancara dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Data sekunder berupa laporan diperoleh dari berbagai instansi pemerintah dan perguruan tinggi. Responden terdiri dari pelaku usaha, Pemerintah Provinsi Maluku (Badan Perencana Daerah, Dinas Kelautan Perikanan), Pemerintah Kota (Badan Perencana Daerah, Dinas Perikanan dan Kelautan). Berdasarkan hasil analisis secara umum Kota Ambon masuk kategori siap sebagai daerah pendukung M-LIN dimana dari 6 dimensi hanya dimensi ekologi dan kelembagaan dan kebijakan yang masuk kategori cukup siap. Untuk meningkatkan kesiapan di Kota Ambon maka dimensi kelembagaan dan kebijakan menjadi dimensi yang paling utama untuk diperhatikan agar jelas mengenai keberlanjutan program M-LIN ini selanjutnya. Dari hasil analisis yang dilakukan berimplikasi pada peningkatan sinkronisasi dan harmonisasi seluruh pelaku dan pemangku kepentingan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan yang terkait dengan program Maluku sebagai Lumbung Ikan Nasional. Selain itu juga perlu menyiapkan kebijakan berupa peraturan baik peraturan presiden (Perpres) maupun Keputusan Menteri (Kepmen) KP yang mendukung pelaksanaan program. Title: Evaluation of Readiness To Support The City Ambon Maluku As “Lumbung Ikan Nasional”This paper was aimed to evaluate the readiness level of Ambon city serving as buffer for Maluku sebagai Lumbung Ikan Nasional (M-LIN) which analyzed with modified RAPFISH method using Multi Dimensional Scalling (MDS). The study uses survei as the data collection method. This study used primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected through interviews using a set of questionnaires. Examples of secondary data were report or study reports from universities and local governement offices. The respondents are fishery business entities, provincial and district fishery offices, provincial planning office. This study finds that in general City Ambon is ready as support system for M-LIN. However, only two out of six categories of readiness are in good condition for readiness. The ready indicators are the governance and policies put in place in Ambon. These two indicators serve as key aspect insuring the sustainability of M-LIN program.

<p>Charalambos Gasparis</p><p>From the Byzantine to Venetian <em>turma</em>. Crete, XIIIth -XlVth centuries</p><p> </p><p>Turma, a term coming from the Byzantine thematic system, is found very often in the XIIIth and XlVth century Venetian documents concerning the island of Crete. The Venetian <em>turma</em> in Crete was not an administrative or military term, but simply a geographical one, to indicate the exact post of fiefs and villages. Byzantine turma had already been used by the local Venetian governement during the first colonisation (1211) to define the six <em>sexteria</em> in the region of Chandax (today, Herakleion).</p><p>As a military union, Byzantine <em>turma</em> with its castle is nothing less than the Venetian <em>castellania</em>, the basis of the Venetian military defense system in Crete. Although Venetian documents of the period helps us to locate the Byzantine turmae in Crete (we have the villages and the turma to which they belong), their role in the administrative and military system of the Byzantine Empire is still not very clear. The only thing we are certain about is that in the Xllth century Byzantine <em>turma</em> throughout the Empire has already become a geographical term as well as we find it a century later in Venetian Crete.</p><p>Tables here presented contain all villages we know to which turma they belonged. There is a table for each <em>turma</em> and <em>sexterium</em> and another one with all villages in alphabetical order. There are also a plan for each territorio (Chania, Rethymno, Sitia) of medieval Crete with the <em>turmae</em> and the villages, and a plan with the borders of six <em>sexteria</em> in the territorio of Chandax.</p><p> </p>

E-government is a type of bureaucratic reform which not only highlights technological changes but also changes in the government system involving citizens in policy decision-making. Human resources, leadership and community engagement are critical success factors for innovation in e-government. Therefore, a local government innovation strategy is essential to enhance e-government growth through collaboration and e-literacy. Collaboration is a mechanism of collaboration between one government agency and other governments to jointly solve problems. Although e-literacy is a human resource capability in the learning process to understand a media. The methodology used was library research using previous research articles, books and website literature related to e-government innovation. The stage of the e-Government innovation strategy can be clarified by implementing the SWOT analysis of internal factors such as strength and weakness and external factors, namely opportunities and threats to establish SO strategy, ST strategy, WO strategy and WT strategy. The stages of innovation can be done through two processes, namely collaboration and innovation. The mechanism of collaboration is carried out in order to overcome budgetary problems and to strengthen inter-related agencies in the development of e-government. The e-literacy process is conducted to enhance community participation and development of human capital through community socialization, training of trainers and comparative studies. Faktor-faktor penentu keberhasilan inovasi e-governement adalah sumber daya manusia, leadership, dan partisipasi masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sebuah strategi inovasi dari Pemerintah Daerah untuk meningkatkan pengembangan e-government melalui kolaborasi dan e-literacy. Kolaborasi merupakan suatu proses tindakan kerjasama antara satu instansi pemerintah dengan pemerintahan lainnya guna memecahkan masalah secara bersama-sama. Sedangkan e-literacy merupakan suatu kemampuan sumber daya manusia untuk memahami suatu media dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka, baik menggunakan jurnal penelitian terdahulu, buku maupun web literature yang berkaitan dengan inovasi e-government Pemerintah Daerah. Tahapan strategi inovasi e-government dapat dijelaskan melalui pengembangan dari analisa SWOT terhadap faktor-faktor internal, yaitu kekuatan dan kelemahan dan faktor eksternal, yaitu peluang dan ancaman sehingga menghasilkan strategi SO, strategi ST, startegi WO, dan strategi WT. Tahapan inovasi dapat dilakukan melalui dua proses yaitu kolaborasi dan inovasi. Proses kolaborasi dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah anggaran dan penguatan antar instansi terkait dalam pengembangan inovasi e-government. Abstract:
Seasonal parasitic contamination of vegetables marketed in Bori central market, Khana Local Government Area, Rivers State, Nigeria was investigated. A total of 80 vegetable samples, (40 samples each during the rainy and dry season respectively) were purchased from the Bori central market. The vegetable samples were examined in the laboratory for the presence of intestinal parasites using sedimentation techniques and microcopy. The results revealed that out of 80 vegetable samples (20 samples of each vegetable type and 40 samples each for rainy and dry seasons) examined, an overall prevalence of 41(51.3%) was recorded. Out of the 40 samples of vegetable each examined during the rainy and dry seasons, 23(57.5%) and18(45.0%) samples were positive for intestinal parasites during the rainy and dry seasons respectively. Across the two seasons, intestinal parasites belonging to four genera were identified. The genera were Ascaris, Giardia, Ancylostoma and Trichuris. A total of 23 intestinal parasites were identified during the rainy season (Ascaris 13/23(56.3%), Giardia 3/23(13.1%), Ancylostoma 4/23(17.4%) and Trichuris 3/23(13.1%) while a total of 18 parasites were extracted from the vegetables during the dry season (Ascaris 9/18(50%), Giardia 1/18(5.5%), Ancylostoma 3/18(16.7%) and Trichuris 5/18(27.8%). Carrot and tomatoes were the most statistically (P>0.05) contaminated vegetables in the rainy and dry seasons respectively. All species of parasites identified have a high relative abundance in the rainy season than in the dry season. Ascaris sp. (56.5%) was the most abundant species of parasite in the rainy season, followed by Ancylostoma sp. (10.0%), Giardia sp. (7.5%) and Trichuris sp. (7.5%). In the dry season, Ascaris sp. had the most relative abundance (50.0%), followed by Trichuris sp. (27.8%), Ancylostoma sp. (7.5%) and Giardia sp. (2.5%). There was a statistically significance difference (P<0.05) in the relative abundance of parasite species in the rainy and dry seasons. The high level of parasitic contamination of vegetables recorded in the study area is a public health concern and demands serious intervention especially in areas of health education on personal hygiene, sanitation and the danger of consumption of improperly washed vegetables, provision of sanitary facilities, mass deworming, open defecation and use of waste water for fertilizer.

Background: In developing countries, parents seek health care for their sick children daily at available health centers, pharmacies, hospitals and traditional healing centers, but the care received are not always adequate, this invariably result in use of obsolete ideas and regimens in the care of sick children. However, it was observed that some nurses do not treat sick children according to IMCI module hence the objective of the study is to explore the outcome of nurses training in the treatment of selected childhood diseases utilizing IMCI.Methods: The study utilized one group pre-posttest quasi experimental research design. Total enumeration was used to enroll 150 participants. Two research instruments were used to collect data with reliability index of 0.803 and 0.617. Inferential statistics was used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. Data were collected over six weeks in three phases.Results: Results revealed significant differences between pre and post intervention mean scores of nurses knowledge in the treatment of malaria (t=22.626, p=0.00); pneumonia (t=19.760, p=0.00); and diarrhoea (t=19.608, p=0.00).Conclusions: The training package used in this study enhanced the knowledge in the treatment of selected childhood illness. It is therefore recommended that there is need to train all nurses working at the primary health centers on the use of integrated management of childhood illness module which will contribute to the reduction of infant morbidity and mortality rate in Ages local government area of Lagos State.

Investigation of plant-parasitic nematodes of yam in selected yam farms in two Local Government Areas of Rivers State was conducted. A total of 22 yam farms were selected and assessed, 12 from Emohua and 10 from Etche Local Governemnet Areas (LGA). Two tubers of yam ready to be harvested were randomly selected and the soil around it were collected, bagged individually and transported to the laboratory for bioassay. Sieve plate nematode extraction technique was used for extraction of nematodes from the tubers and soil. The purpose of the study was to identify the plant parasitic nematodes that affect yam in the selected zone and likely to predict if nematode was a predisposing agent to yam rot in the study area. The results showed that in Emohua LGA, Meloidogtne spp. with mean population of 90.407±0.543 were the most prevalent species in the soil samples followed by Heterodera spp. with 38.622±0.891 and Pratylenchus spp. with 26.322±0.962 while in the roots and yam tuber Meloidogyne spp. had the most prevalent species with mean population of 69.510±0.907, followed by Scutellonema spp. with 15.651±2.201 and then Ditylenchus spp. with 13.7651±2.644. Also, in Etche LGA, Meloidogyne spp., Tylenchulus spp. and Rotylenchulus spp. had the most prevalent species in the soil with mean populations of 24.920±0.479, 22.426±1.093 and 20.202±0.828 respectively. In the roots and yam tubers, Scutellonema spp., Meloidogyne spp. and Heterodera spp. in that order had the most prevalent species with mean populations of 17.814±0.253, 13.240±0.286 and 10.619±0.401 respectively. Data analysis showed that plant-parasitic nematodes recovered from the soil and roots/yam tuber were statistically significant at P<0.05. These showed that the presence of these plant-parasitic nematodes in the study area suggests that they are important pests of yams even though their presence is not noticed by farmers. They could be attributed to poor yield in yams in the study areas.

Batam Island is a sucessful example of management rights on land. However, with the presence of the local governemnt, many new issues about the management of law are feared to emerge. The Management Rights on Batam’s land is obtained directly by the President who delegated to the Board of Mastery, so that the status of Batam land is divided into three namely: (1) the land above the management right by Enterprise (in Indonesian we called it Badan Pengusahaan); (2) land above the management of Batam City Local Government; (3) land managed by the state. Dualism of authority to manage Batam’s Land caused problems as follows: Establishment of Kampung Tua, Status quo on land in Rempang Galang area, mismatch of land condition in Batam City with letter of decision by Ministry of Forestry, and the complexity of permit process, which hampered the development of Batam City. Law No. 6 of 2014 on Villages provides a momentum and wide opportunities to make the village as the subject of development as well as placing it as a new axis of the national development based on the principle of participation, accountability, mutual cooperation, empowerment, sustainability, local wisdom, and independence. In another context, this Law also provides a new perspective on public administration in Indonesia. Affirmation of the principle of recognition and subsidiarity puts villages outside the hierarchial framework of the government. Unfortunately, this reality is often not considered by the national and local government with the right policies and approaches. National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) responds to this situation by conducting a number of relevant researches. Following the ratification of Law on Villages, LAN has conducted a series of studies on villages that resulted in interesting findings that can be used to reflect the village position in the contemporary public administration order. There are three clusters of public administration issues that can be drawn from those researches, among them are the relationship between village and supravillage government, village authority, and the capacity of village governemnt. In the future, it is expected that LAN continues to play a role in developing village. Not only through research activities, but also through public administration innovation, apparatus training, and higher education of administration. <p>The volunteer and the youth tourism that are among the important types of the social tourism are not desired levels in Turkey. The volunteer tourism that the major participants are youth is interraleted with youth tourism owing to participants’profiles and motivations, and the need for institutional support. Handling together thevolunteer and youth tourism, this study aims to investigate the aims of youth and the institutional authorities, and thus suggesting a proposal for future implementation. In this purpose, a mixed-method study was carried out in Eskişehir/Turkey. First, the data from the 384 college students derived by questionnaire method. Secondly, the data 9 represantatives of local governments and Non-Governemental Organizations’ as institutional authorities derived by interview method. The quantitaive data was analysed mainly by factor analysis, while the qualitative data analysed by content analysis. Findings suggest that participation the tourism among young people are not much higher, however, many of them are willing to participate to the volunteer tourism. Institutional authorities are also positive considerations towards volunteer and youth tourism, however their support is relatively on supplying. Thus, the need for intermediary individual or institution, and the support of universities and the local people are among the other important aspects in planning and implementing. In sum, the findings of the study generally demonstrate that young people and the institutional authorities relatively have positive aims regarding volunteer and youth tourism, and thus a practical implication was provided.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Özet</strong></p><p>Sosyal turizmin önemli türlerinden gönüllü ve gençlik turizmi Türkiye’de beklenen düzeyde değildir. Başlıca katılımcılarını gençlerin oluşturduğu gönüllü turizmi, katılımcıların profili, motivasyonları ve ayrıca ihtiyaç duyulan kurumsal destek açısından gençlik turizmi ile yakın ilişkilidir. Bu çalışmada gönüllü ve gençlik turizmi birlikte ele alınarak, her ikisinin de temel aktörleri olarak gençler ve kurumsal yetkililerin konuyla ilgili eğilimleri incelenmesi ve uygulamaya yönelik öneri getirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla, Eskişehir ilinde karma desene dayalı bir araştırma yürütülmüştür. İlk olarak, Eskişehir ilinde yaşayan 384 üniversite öğrencisinden anket tekniği ile veri derlenmiştir. İkinci olarak ise kurumsal yetkililer kapsamında yerel yönetim ve Sivil Toplum Kuruluş’larından 9 kişi ile görüşme tekniği ile veri toplanmıştır. Nicel veriler temel olarak faktör analiziyle değerlendirilirken, nitel verilerde içerik analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, gençler arasında turizme katılım oranı çok fazla değildir, ancak gönüllü turizmine genellikle olumlu yaklaşmaktadırlar. Kurum yetkilileri de gönüllü ve gençlik turizmine olumlu yaklaşırken, destekleri daha çok kaynak sağlama bağlamındadır. Planlama ve uygulamada aracı kişi ya da kurum ihtiyacı, üniversitelerin ve yerli halkın desteği de dikkate alınması gereken diğer önemli boyutlar arasındadır. Araştırma sonuçlarına genel olarak bakıldığında, Eskişehir örneğinde gönüllü ve gençlik turizminin temel aktörleri olarak gençler ve kurum yetkilileri konuya olumlu olarak yaklaştığı görülmüş ve buna göre bir uygulama önerisi getirilmiştir.</p>

Aim: To investigate the prevalence of malaria and how demographic factors influence malaria parasite transmission among persons attending primary health care facilities in Oyigbo LGA, Rivers State, South-South, Nigeria. Methodology: Intra-venous blood samples were obtained from 190 participants who enrolled for the study. These blood samples were stored in ethylene diamine tetra acetate bottles (EDTA) and used to make thick and thin films for malaria parasite detection using standard parasitological techniques (Cheesbrough 1998). Questionnaires were administered to the participants to obtain their demographic data. Data were analysed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 25 and presented using descriptive statistics. Chi-square was used to obtain level of significance (p<0.05). Results: Of the 190 persons examined, 109 were positive, giving a prevalence of 57.4%. Plasmodium falciparum was the only malaria parasite observed. Females 67 (59.82%) were more affected than males 42 (53.84%) but this difference was not statistically significant (p>0.05). Age group 41-50 and those with Secondary education had higher prevalence. The difference observed in these groups was statistically significant (p<0.05). Artisans had the highest prevalence whereas the unemployed had the least prevalence. However, this difference was not statistically significant (p>0.05). Conclusion: Demographic factors have been shown to influence malaria transmission. Therefore, malaria control efforts should be intensified, taking into cognizance, the role of demographic factors in transmission.

Abstract:
IUD is one of the long term contraceptions which its usage is still below the target of Kebumen goverment on 11%. The local government has done a workshop of Contraception Technology Update (CTU) for the midwives in the Kebumen regency so the numbers of the IUD acceptors had increased to 6.57% in June 2012 but however, this is still below the government's target. Some efforts have been done by the local governement but it still can not show a good of IUD contraveption good services. Objective of the research is to give clear descrpition of the analysis of factors relate to intra Uterine Device (IUD) contraception services by midwives in Kebumen Regency.This study this is an observational research with analytic survey method and cross sectional approach. The data were collected using interview consited of strutured questioners to 80 midwives in Kebumen area. The data were analyzed using univariat, bivariat and multivariat analyses techniques.The results show that the variables of knowledge, motivation, acces, human resource availability and policy are in good category but there are still 40% of midwives who have low motivation so they still prefer to give the other more practical contraceptions instead of IUD, and 31% of the places for the IUD services still have not been provided with flipcharts. The variable of IUD contraception has correlation with the variables of knowledge with (p=0.037), motivation (p=0.045), and the availability of the human resources (p=0.021). Meanwhile the variables of service acces (p=0.691) and policy (p=1.000) have no correlation with the behaviour of IUD contraception service. Togetherly the variables of motivation and human resource availability have influenced the behaviour of IUD contraception service p≤ 0.05 with Exp.(B) > 2.It is recomended to midwives to motivate them selves in giving more rasionally Family Planning service and it is necessary to hold an Up to date Contraception Technology Workshops for midwives to increase the quality of IUD contraception services. It is always interesting to observe the face of education in Indonesia. One interesting factor is related to bugdeting on education in Indonesia has not reach 20% of the national budget. It is in connection to the political will of the local government to improve the educational level in Yogyakarta. Many obstacles have to be faced by the government to pursuit this 20%. At the end this will remain as a homework to the governemnt to reach the target budgeting of 20% for education. The goals to provide a cheap, but high quality education should be achieved to increase the quality of our children in the future.

Abstract:
Street vendors are informal types of work (small businesses) that arise primarily in urban areas, carried out by low-income people (daily salaries), have limited capital, and consist of only one worker (self employed). The presence of street vendors in various major cities in Indonesia, including in Denpasar City, has become a dilemma that creates pro-contra, and has the potential to clash between citizens and officials of government. This is because street vendors sell their wares in public places that are considered strategic, thus disrupting public order, and other public peace. On the other hand, according to one of the SDG’s programs, the government has an obligation to realize decent work for everyone. In the effort of structuring street vendors, as well as helping small traders of economic actors in the informal sector, the government of Denpasar City issues Denpasar City Local Law No. 2 of the year 2015 about Street Vendors. Therefore, an analysis is needed to find out the implementation of Denpasar City Local Law No. 2 of the year 2015, as well as to find out the supporting factors and inhibiting factors of its implementation. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, where the data obtained through the process of observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Selection of informants through purposive sampling technique, and data analysis techniques using Merilee S. Grindle's theory of policy implementation and contingency theory by James Lester. The results of the analysis show that the implementation of Denpasar City Local Law No. 2 of the year 2015 for arranging street vendors is still faced with several obstacles such as: lack of location according to allotment, lack of adequate budget, evaluation that is rarely done, and sanctions that are not in accordance with what is written in the Regional Regulation and the lack of understanding of street vendors on the local law. An interesting finding is that it turns out that governemtn of villages and custom village have an important role in organizing street vendors in their areas.

Abstract:
Abstract Background The Health in All Policies approach has been increasingly used to assess public health impact of rules and regulations. In 2015, all UN member States adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) to achieve the 2030 Global Agenda. SDGs can be conceived in a practical way, as analytic tools to classify existing legislation. In the context of the ASPHER-ASPPH sponsored “This is Public Health in Italy” campaign, the Public Health Schools of University San Raffaele, University of Bologna, University of Pavia and University of Parma decided to monitor their own local governments' level of SDG compliance. The study aims at identifying a procotol for a Health in All Policies, SDG-driven analysis in two Northern Italy Regions: Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna. These two regions 4.45 millions and 10.04 million accounting for over 24% of national population. Methods Between November and December 2019, two teams were established for separate analyses of the 2 Regions. All laws were retrieved from the two Regional Council's offical websites. Exclusion criteria were set by ruling all healthcare-related laws out of the analysis. An agreement was reached to label each law with the most representatives SDG tackled. As a proxy for internal validity, results were double-blinded. Each Regional Group met collectively and double-checked the other group's anlysis. To minimise detection bias, results were sent anonymously to the Scientific Committee, who supervised the analytic process and solved disagreements. Results A total of 57 laws were examined, 26 issued by Lombardy Region and 31 by Emilia-Romagna Region. SDG-related laws number was: 11 (42%) in Lombardy Region, whereas in Emilia-Romagna Region the proportion was much higher (n = 22, 71%). The most addressed SGD in Lombardy Region was number 15 (Life on Land), while in Emilia-Romagna number 8 (Decent Work & Economic Growth). Conclusions SDGs can be considered an innovative indicator to measure governement's activities and monitor the progress towards achieving the 2030 Global Agenda. Key messages Sustainable Development Goals are useful tools for policy analysis. The “This is Public Health in Italy” campaign allowed for a survey of public health legislative initiatives.
